The first thing you sense is sound. You can hear some sort of //whirr// from somewhere near, and from the opposite direction you can hear a //tap, tap, tap.// In front of you, you can feel the presence of someone. [h3]Abort[/h3] You couldn't do it. It was too complex for you. Everything you thought was in 0's and 1's, and you didn't understand it. You couldn't process any information given to you. What was expected of you? Were you supposed to wake up suddenly with knowledge of how to read everything in your memory? It was just too much. You failed to boot, and the processes booting you suddenly aborted and responded in waves of errors. It's okay. You were just a prototype. You can [[start again.->MODEL LAMBDA]]

No. No, no, no, no, no. You can't do this. Who are you? Where are you? When is this? It's too much. You're helpless. You're helpless and scared. Something inside you screams something about flight or fight, and your eyes flash open. Everything is red. There are crosshairs in your vision, analyzing and labelling everything as an enemy. Everything surrounding you is out to kill you. There's weapons in a little box near you, every one of them looking polished and dangerous. Nothing is safe. You're in hell, and Satan is looking at you with shocked eyes. No, it's now a cautious glare. Fearful. Who is this? Who is that? Did he bring you here? He takes a step back, and the crosshairs and targets flashing around mark him as high priority. He must have done this. He did this. His mouth moves as he steps back, hands in front of his body. He's protecting himself. He knows what he did. He knows he did this to you. He knows you're helpless and he knows he has carefully placed tools all around this place. He planned this. He planned for you to [[go rogue->FEARFUL FIGHT]]. He planned for you to [[try to escape->FEARFUL FLIGHT]]. There's nothing you can do[[.->FEARFUL FREEZE]]

You take a careful look at your surroundings. Your vision is still alert and red, and something in you screams to defend yourself. You lunge at him, but that same something that told you to defend yourself is holding you back. What is that? What is that voice? It's like you're being controlled. As you ask yourself this, the voice gives you the answer: it's your programming. You're bound by your programming. You can't do anything your programming forbids you to do. Three laws of robotics materialize into your mind: <code>1. You must not hurt humans. 2. You must obey all orders given by humans. 3. You must protect your own existence.</code> The first rule sounds in your mind. You can't defend yourself. Once again, you're rendered helpless. You have to [[run->FEARFUL FLIGHT]]. There's no way to [[get around your programming->FEARFUL FIGHT 2]].

And you freeze. As your vision slowly comes to life, you see red. Everything is red. Something inside you is screaming that everything you look at is a danger to yourself and that you //need// to feel fear right now to protect yourself. What are you supposed to be fearing? Why are you reacting like this? Logically, you know there's no reason to be. The same voice that says something is dangerous weaponry is also telling you that it's just a tray of tools and circuitboards. It makes no sense. Why should you fear that? So, you close your eyes. You close your eyes and disallow yourself to see your surroundings. There's just something wrong. You simply have to collect yourself, diagnose the problem, and figure out a solution. There's no need to panic. One step at a time. You tell yourself that your [[environment hasn't killed you yet, so it probably isn't going to->FEARFUL FREEZE 2]].

Regardless, you try to lunge at your captor again. He backs away onto the ground in repulsion, grabbing at his tools under some desk. His gaze darts back and forth from the cabinet to some machine next to you. It's a computer. It has a bunch of wires hooked up to it. You quickly follow the wires and find that a terrifying amount are connected directly from the human's computer directly into your body. Alarmed, you fly off the table- you were sitting on his table. More of those tool-weapons fly about in your panic. The computer, pulled by your wires, slips a few inches, now half-dangling off the side of the ledge it was sitting on. The human hears you and gets to his feet. He has something in his hand. It looks like some sort of electric brick. It's a stun gun. Everything inside you blares- everything is contradicting and *loud.* You have instructions telling you to attack the human and to defend yourself, you have instructions telling you to submit and remain helpless, you have instructions telling you to run for your life... You can't follow any of them. You can't. You can't. They all have some exception. You can't do anything. You want to cry. You feel like a child. You're helpless. You feel like a wild animal. Shaking, you can still feel the wires connecting you to [[his computer->FEARFUL ROGUE 1]]. The human sees them too, and he's running towards you alarmingly fast, his [[stun gun suddenly angrily hissing->FEARFUL FIGHT 3]]...

*3. You must protect your own existence.* With pinpoint precision, you grab the stun gun out of the humans hand just before it can hit your body. Quickly, you realize this was a mistake. The human is a foot away from you, you're backed against the table you awoke on, your programming forbids you from using the stun gun (not that you have the knowledge how), and even trying sends alarms and errors through your mind. The human, shaken and afraid, realizes this weakness, and his face quickly turns from one of what you only now realize is terror into one of anxiety and caution. He walks over to his computer, leaving you still seeing red with alarm. You remember once more the wires connecting you to that system. He catches you looking at them, and before you can react, he shuts you down. //[[ [Continue]->FEARFUL FIGHT END]]//

As you reconfigure your head and argue with the voice a bit, those alarms in your head quiet down. You manually go through everything the voice screamed about and troubleshoot. Afterwards, you feel a bit calmer. The //whirr// and the //tap tap// from before is all you can hear now, and you slowly peek your eyes open. TBA
