Crossing the street into the territory of stranger cats make you feel unsafe. You're a house cat at heart, so you decide to run back home to where you feel safe. Jo will be there, and she has a warm tummy.\n\nYou hop through the front door and chirp at Jo, who is making breakfast. She gives you a small piece of bacon. Not a bad morning, but you can't help but think it could have been something more.\n\nGame Meow-ver\n\n[[Play again|Start]]

You nod to Toppers and he stands next to you. You both put on your war faces and advance towards the spiders. You are at least 200 times bigger than even the largest spider and you and Toppers together are about 24lbs of teeth and claws. The spiders hold their position for a millisecond, then wisely flee up into a higher bush.\n\nAlthough thrilled to have won the battle, you are disappointed at not getting to eat any spider chunks. You are nothing if not adventurous, so you decide to console yourself by taking a big chomp of the spider web. It tastes sort of dusty, but not unpleasant, so you gobble down another mouthful.\n\nSatisfied with your adventure, you bid Toppers a friendly farewell and trot towards your flat.\n\n[[Go home|GameOverVomit]]
Apologise to Spiders? You'd never stoop so low, and they don't speak cat. Instead, you suggest to Toppers that you've decided that you didn't want to eat spiders anyway, and it would be much cooler to just hide under a car, or something.\n\nToppers leads you towards the car park where he spends most of his time, and slinks under the shade of a Volkswagen. You spend the morning reminiscing about the bush full of spiders, and rolling around together on the gravel.\n\nAs the world begins to wake up, and you think of heading home, you see a group of cats convening together across the street. Toppers tell you he has to go, and rushes over to meet them, telling you he'll introduce you to his friends another time.\n\n[[Go home|GameOver]]
Meow. Your name is Alan. you are a handsome black and white cat. You live indoors with your owner Jo in an upstairs flat somewhere in England. Sometimes she lets you go outside, but you're often nervous about it.\n\nIt is 4:30am, there is no food left in the bowl and you've already batted all your toys under the sofa. Jo is asleep and you want to go outside.\n\n[[Meow at the living room door|Morning2]]\n[[Scratch the living room door|Morning2]]\n[[Headbutt the living room door|Morning2]]\n[[Crawl inside of your box|MorningFail]]
You hop out of the front door and tentatively trot down the stairs, checking for tasty spiders as you go. At the bottom of the stairs, you have two choices.\n\n[[Go left, where Toppers lives|Left]]\n[[Go right, where Jack lives|Right]]
You lunge at the beetle with your teeths, but it scurries away easily. Toppers is probably laughing at you behind your back.\n\n[[Bat the beetle again|BeetleBoop]]\n[[Try to eat the beetle|BeetleEat]]\n[[Let the beetle get away|BeetleEnding]]
Jeffrey, a small, excited-looking ginger and white cat you have seen before from your spare bedroom. He is fascinated by the butterflies which flit past every few seconds, so it is hard to have a proper conversation, but he suggests that you meet up in the park sometime and thinks you will be great friends. What a lovely chap.\n\n<<set $jeffreySeen=true>><<display 'LocalCatsMenu'>>\n
You go home and run into the bedroom to meet Jo. She is very pleased to see you, and you purr. She gives you strokes and brushes, and pours some cat biscuits into your bowl, which you eat.\n\nYou've had a good time outside today, but now you're tired. You curl up in a patch of sun, wash your leg, and go to sleep.\n\nGame Meow-ver.\n\n[[Play again|Start]]\n\n
Toppers is a large, portly black and white cat. It is nice to see him. He invites you to visit him any time you wish. He makes you laugh; he's like a jolly, fat uncle.\n\n<<set $toppersSeen=true>><<display 'LocalCatsMenu'>>

"Oh no, not this again, I'm getting out of here!" thinks Jack in an outrageous French accent, and runs back inside his cat flap. Before you have time to ponder what just happened, you hear human footsteps behind you: Jo has heard the commotion, and has run downstairs in her dressing gown.\n\nBefore you have time to react, the door to Jack's house opens: Jack's Mum heard the noise too, and wants to diffuse the situation. And the end of the hallway behind her, you see Jack cowering behind a bin.\n\nWhat to do?\n\n[[Run back to Jo. The beetle runs off under a fence, probably to tell it's family about the big black and white cat that tried to kill it. You have a proud. All this hunting has made you hungry, so you say farewell to Toppers, and thank him for showing you such a fun time.\n\n[[Go home|GameOver]]
Alan and the Outdoors
You turn left at the bottom of the stairs, and scurry through the early morning light onto the grass in front of the flat. across the way you see Toppers, a local kingpin who likes to rub himself on trees.\n\n[[Meow at him in a friendly way|ToppersNice]]\n[[Growl at him agressively|ToppersMean]]
You've had a wonderful time and you are proud that Jo has seen you being friendly with other cats. She doesn't seem keen on letting you cross the road, so she gently scoops you up in her arms and carries you across. This gives you a chance to see into some of the nearby houses, which is fun. Jo squeezes you close as she walks over the road and onto the green near your home. She gently places you on the grass so you can trot up to the flat by her side. When you get inside, you can smell the bacon Jo has been cooking for breakfast. She chats to you as she eats and, after she's finished, she presents you with a little bit of bacon of your own.\n\nIt tastes lovely. Jo strokes your back and tells you that she's proud that you've made friends and that she can let you outside more now she knows you won't be fighting. You curl up on her lap and she brushes your hair. You drop off to sleep with a grin on your face, and dream of your adventure.\n\nGame Meow-ver.\n\n[[Play again|Start]]\n
Clem and Kiwi are twins. Clem is a girl and Kiwi is a boy. They are both white cats with splotchy black markings. They bicker with each other jokingly as they chat to you. They tell you that they live quite near the park and will make an effort to visit the park now they know you are nearby. They are very energetic and their friendly rivalry makes you laugh.\n\n<<set $clemKiwiSeen=true>><<display 'LocalCatsMenu'>>\n

You run towards Jack, who panics and knocks over the bin he's hiding behind. This scares you awfully, giving Jack's Mum a chance to grab you from behind and hoist you off the floor.\n\nYou try to bite her, but she's clearly experienced at handling naughty animals, and she carries you back outside and hands you to Jo. Jo carries you up the stairs and locks you inside. She's very cross at you.\n\nYour time outside today was not well spent.\n\nGame Meow-ver.\n\n[[Try again|Start]]

After a long sleep, you wake up and do a big stretch. It is 8:45am and you've let Jo have the best morning's sleep she's had in months.\n\nYou didn't manage to go outside.\n\nGame Meow-ver.\n\n[[Try again|Start]]
You turn right at the bottom of the stairs, towards the front door of the house where Jack lives. As ever, he's sat at his doorstep with his one pointy tooth sticking out of the side of this mouth. He purrs a tentative hello.\n\n[[Meow at him in a friendly way|JackNice]]\n[[Growl at him agressively|JackMean]]
That wasn't wise. Toppers asserts control of his territory by snarling back at you. You are scared.\n\n[[Run away, back to the safety of the staircase|GoOutsideRetry]]\n[[Run home to Jo. She'll cuddle you and make you feel safe|GoHomeScared]]
You don't like confrontation, so you run back to the safety of Jo. She picks you up and carries you home, and gives you some strokes on the sofa. You're happy to have such a nice owner, and decide not to go outside any more today.\n\nGame Meow-ver.\n\n[[Play again|Start]]
"Get your paws off my hound, you fiend!" thinks Jack, as you run towards Jack's Dog, who leaps out of his bed and scurries past you down the hallway, out of the front door. You see the opportunity to escape, and flee in the same direction, onto the field outside.\n\nWhen you get there, Jack's Dog is waiting, wagging his tail excitedly. He's pleased to be outside when it's not time for walkies, and he wants to play! You've never been friends with a dog before, so you humour him by tumbling in the wet grass.\n\nBefore you know it, you've had a great morning playing with Jack's Dog on the grass. You bid farewell to your canine companion, and head back towards to the flat.\n\n[[Go home|GameOver]]
You run back to the staircase, up the stairs and into the flat, and leap onto Jo's bed. Your fur is all ruffled. Jo is woken up by the jolt, and greets you with a comforting cuddle. There is really only one answer to that question. GIRLS. Jack smiles and leads you across the small park near your flat. You sniff the daffodils as you pass them and enjoy the feeling of them brushing against your stumpy little tail. You hope the smell of the flowers makes you smell less dumpstery.\n\nJack leads you behind a row of bushes, where there are two cats interacting with each other. One is a friendly ginger and white tom cat, who chirps at you cheerfully, but has to run off to chase a butterfly. This leaves you and Jack with a pretty young lady cat, Jack introduces her as Petra. She is very small and white, covered in black splotches. Her nose is very pink and she is delighted to meet you. Indeed, she is delighted by everything. You and Jack have fun watching her leap and frolic in the long grass, and you join in and play a little too. Petra is fun, but easily startled. When a small dog enters the park, Petra leaps up and dashes into a bush. You've had fun and managed not to have any fights, but you're getting hungry, so you nod to Jack and make your way towards home.\n\n[[Go home|GameOver]]\n

You remember that you used to be good friends with Jack, before the time he insulted you, and that ended with you cornering him in a neighbour's garden and getting carried home in disgrace by a furious Jo.\n\nYou decide to be nice to Jack instead. He looks surprised, but is a forgiving sort of chap. He has some suggestions for fun things to do.\n\n[[Try to meet some cat ladies|CatLadies]]\n[[Meet up with some of the cool local cats|LocalCats]]\n
Toppers shows you his favourite tree, and rubs himself against it. It is a magnificent tree. You spend the morning chatting about local cat politics, and have a generally lovely time. After a while, you get hungry and meow goodbye.\n\n[[Go home|GameOver]]
Toppers leads you through an alleyway and into the secret garden. It's slightly familiar because of the time you chased Jack in here and Jo had to take you home because you were so filled with rage.\n\nToppers is glad to have your company and suggests some activities. Would you like to try and eat a spider or maybe look for a beetle to bat around with your paws?\n\n[[Spider in my mouth please|Spider]]\n[[I would like to harm a beetle, obviously|Beetle]]
One of the cats looks a little scary to you, as you've seen him around the neighbourhood and he seems quite tough. Jack introduces him to you as Terry. He is a black cat with a long tail and a few scars, similar to yours. Once you get chatting, it turns out you have lots in common. He, too, used to live on the streets, before being taken in by a nice lady. He likes to eat spiders too, and he loves having his hair brushed while sitting on the nice lady's lap. You can see you will be good friends with Terry, and that you have both been lucky to find happy homes away from the scary streets.\n\n<<set $terrySeen=true>><<display 'LocalCatsMenu'>>
You decide that you'd quite like to meet some other cats, and ask Jack if he knows any. He says he does, leads you to a street and walks across towards a small row of houses. Crossing the street scares you quite a lot, but you want to look brave in front of Jack.\n\n[[Keep following Jack|LocalCats2]]\n[[Make an excuse and leave, you're too far from home|LocalCatsChickenOut]]\n
You go home and run into the bedroom to meet Jo. She is very pleased to see you, and you purr. Toppers grins at you and leads you to a bush that is thick with spider webs. This is exciting. A spider starts abseiling towards the ground from the bush. You try to take a chomp out of the spider, but she swerves away, which is lucky, because she's pretty chunky up close. Toppers scoffs and mutters at you under his breath.\n\nThe spider glares at you for a minute, then taps one of her spidery foots on a string of her web. In seconds, at least a pawful of other spiders arrive and advance towards you.\n\n[[I want to stand and fight the spiders, darn it!|SpiderFight]]\n[[Maybe I should apologise to the spiders.. they're huge and there's at least 4 of them|SpiderApology]]
You run into Jack's house to pursue Jack, and immediately regret this decision. You're in an unfamiliar home, everything smells weird, and Jack's Mum is walking towards you down the hallway.\n\nIn one corner is Jack, still cowering behind a bin, horrified that you're chasing him like this. On the other side of the room is Jack's Dog, small and white, sitting on a dog bed by the sofa.\n\nYou can't let Jack's Mum catch you, where do you run?\n\n[[Run towards Jack|JackPursue2]]\n[[Run towards Jack's Dog|JackDog]]
You cross the street with Jack. You've never been over here before, but you have to be brave if you want to meet other cats. A second later, you stop to sniff a lamp post. You notice several unfamiliar scents, this makes you nervous.\n\n[[Keep following Jack|LocalCats3]]\n[[Make an excuse and leave, you're too far from home|LocalCatsChickenOut]]\n
You arrive in a clearing behind some houses. There are many cats in the clearing, all socialising together happily. You decline politely. Toppers doesn't really get why you wouldn't want to see a lovely tree, but he shrugs and meows as if to say "whatever". He has another suggestion. There is a garden nearby that has fun smells and some insects in it. Would you like to go with him and take a look?\n\n[[Meow in the affirmative|ToppersGarden]]\n[[Meow in the negative|ToppersNoGarden]]
You both slink over to the back of the garden, where a shiny green beetle is just hanging out. It's scarier than it looked from a distance. It leaps away terrified onto another rock.\n\n[[Bat the beetle again|BeetleBoop]]\n[[Try to eat the beetle|BeetleEat]]\n[[Let the beetle get away|BeetleEnding]]\n
