The Scylla is a submarine shifting through the depths of Europa's oceans. The crew aboard have just returned from a long //Voyage// into the unknown regions of Europa's sea in order to map it. Human exploration led us here a century ago. Human colonies and a thriving society of sub-surface outposts. A thriving cyst of human activity in the stars. Fifty years ago, Europa suffered a Tidal Flex, ever since no one has been able to contact with Earth. No messages, no messengers. No person on Europa has seen the sun in fifty years. The outposts one-by-one are dying, falling to internal discontent and external pressures. The crew of the Scylla knows most stations are dead, but their last hope is for one station to remain. The screen fades in for a moment with a phosphor green glow. On its screen it shows the date, 22/2/2125. And a small image of a triangle moving across the ‘Apoikian Ridge’ our local sector of Europa. Standing next to him is a young man with a round and stubbly chin, a set of once orange overalls covering his body, the onboard mechanic '(text-colour:red)[R. Everything the sonar onboard the Scylla could pick up, a few hundred meters being a man-made metallic structure chained to a cliff. The airlock is dark, aside from a red emergency light dimly glowing from above a manual release lever for the internal door. Koster stands next to you. Her body is stiff. On the ground remain empty syringes and broken glass phials. Blood stains the medical beds, although no bodies are found.
