First came [[the void|The Void]].
Second came [[the beauty| The Beauty]].
In the third time came love, and it grew, a forest fire in dried eucalyptus trees.
Yet there is little difference between the red chrysanthemum and the red equinox flower. As the petals turn yellow, and then white, I think of you. The roots reach deep and deeper still, planting the foundation for a rebirth.
I think of you as [[I lie in the crater where I fell|The Love of the World is named I]].
The two paths, [[you|You are]] and [[I|I am]], echo in my mind, the entire world is only you and I.I am a city. Rocks and bricks and metal, roads and wires, fortress buried in glass and cement. I rise high yet frail, I crack and I shatter in the erosion of winds and rains.
And you came to me, your shape in the horizon like [[a dawn|You are]].
I have curtains and shutters and yet you shone through. In the void there is nothing.
There is nothing.
There is nothing.
There is nothing, not even I.
I lied.
There was something. It was not a void at all.
But now, there is nothing.
My city was built on [[ruins|The Love of the World is named I]] of my former self, and you were not grown from void either. You barricaded yourself in sunrooms and bogs, sunken into the floor of your own ocean.
I lied.
There is no void.
There was always the noises of our pasts. And now there is us.
I said it was the void because I do not want to [[remember|The End of Love]].
(set: $end to 2)In the beauty there is you.
There was me, in your eyes, prettier than reality.
There was you, in my eyes, selected, curated, cut into filaments and [[figments]].
There is me, in your heart, unraveling into thin threads.
There is you, in my heart, building a forest of mirrors.
In your beauty I behold the poetry of an unsung monster, gentle as an omen, resting in the eternal crossroad.
In my beauty, did you witness the same? The same brutality and vulnerability of an animal that is also a monster and also a human, herald to a time when our eyes shall be as bright as suns.
The [[divine monster|fragments]], whose presence is us.The you I have loved in [[fragments]], and perhaps only in [[figments]] , existed as fading wisps in time. I saw you surface like foxfire from bog water or sparks from ember. You existed in moments and instances where the sole witnesses were you and I. And then, you were washed away by your own self. An ocean that devours itself. Not a serpent. Not a forest. Not a mind with the brightness of a sun. An ocean of you, that devours itself.
I am not an ocean. I cannot melt into you. I am earthy, a handful of charcoal that I try to pressed into diamonds, so I could love you in a colour that reminds me of you. I dream of us together, under the blue sky, reflecting the endless blue together as it warms up and sets itself aflame by the footsteps of the sun, and we would, together, burn with the brightness of the dusk.
The Mánagarmr shall laud us as kin.
I knew you would be [[the end of me|The End of Love]], and I accept that.
I saw you watch me fall.In the land barren from the sprawl of the city, you show up, bright in the horizon, a dawn from the night, a fawn from the forest. Your steps crack my pavement. The skin beneath your fur, in its scents and in its warmth, bears the memories of the woods, of pines and agarwood, of fresh flesh and dried rot.
I run my wires in your locks of hair and I breathe you in.
I entangle you in my roads and cables, and you entangle me in your ribs and sinews. An exchange of electricity for blood and blood for sparks. I exist in your eyes and you, in my lungs.
This might as well be our way to [[love|The Love of the World is named I]].The carbon in me hardens, though not yet diamond.
Love illuminates the world and leaves ashes in its trail. Forests and grasslands grow from the wake of the flames. Serpents and birds join in, singing praise of you with their breaths.
Your fire warmed me in winter and burned me down. In spring, I flourish, alight with the love I have for you.
The loving words you have given me, the diseases you have given me, they shall become blueprints to my civilization. A district of blades and spices shall grow from the reddened soil, and the lambs shall have your eyes. My love for you shall be the stars in the [[firmament|In the Beginning]].

Our eyes are flawed.
Our ears are flawed.
Our noses are flawed.
Our tongues, our lips, our throats are flawed.
Our mind, even more so. A basket of thoughts in a sky of truth, too big to fit in the iris of our eyes and the bones of our ears.
So you are a figment in my mind. And I am a figment in your mind. There are speckles of what is really us.
Yet the speckles grow and we see each other clearer and clearer.
Soon we will paint a perfect [[simulacrum|In the Beginning]] of each other.I'm a city. Hand-made. Full of machines.
You break against me. Trees turn into woodchips and animals turn into well-cut steaks. I eat you and you become my pavement and walls.
I break against you as well. Jammed, fragmented, rusted, dissolved. You break into my gas tank and your leaves become tongues of fire.
You are an ocean, a forest, a beating heart. You crack me open from the inside, my shards all over you like scales of a dragon.
The fragments of you and fragments of me, in shards and in filaments, mingle into the monster that speaks at the centre of the world.
The monster's language is none other than love.
[[Hear us sing|In the Beginning]].
