Our story begins... will it be filled with glory or DISASTER? [[Only one way to find out.]]A champion awakes at the bottom of a dried up well, possibly concussed after a head injury. She squints and looks around. [[Investigate]] [[Call for help]]She squints in the dark. It's hard to see since there's minimal light from above. [[Feel around the ground]] [[Check the walls for a way to climb out]] She yells for help. The echo is deafening. She yells again... and again... and again. After a brief pause, she hears something. [[Keep calling for help]] [[Pause to listen]]She beings to feel around the ground. The soil is very soft. She starts to and become concerned. Is the ground... vibrating? She gets the sinking feeling she is not alone... Looking up she sees plant growth that may be strong enough to climb out of the well. [[Check the walls for a way to climb out]] She feels around the walls, hopeing to find anything to grab hold of... Something rough runs accross her fingers. Luckily this old well has plant growth running down into it. She gets the sinking feeling that she's not alone... [[Test strength]] [[Start climbing]]She continues to call only to hear footsteps approaching. They are talking amongst themselves, but they do not call back to her. [[Stop calling]] [[Yell Louder]]Her gut tells her to pause. She lies down and plays dead. Unsavory looking men peer down into the well. "Good. I thought we'd have to come and finish the job. Looks like she finally accepted her fate." The men leave, and it becomes quite again. [[Investigate]] Something tells her to wait and see... she lies down and plays dead. Gruff looking men approach and look into the well. "Shame it wasn't a quick death, but it looks like she's finally out. Let's go." They walk away and after some time, and she decides to figure another way out. [[Investigate]] As she looks above, she sees a bunch of sus looking men look down into the well. "Guess we need to finish the job." They aim their weapons at her. BLAM! SHE IS DEAD. [[Continue? ->Story Begins]] She tugs on the vines to see if they will hold before she starts to climb. Suddenly the ground shakes beneath her feet and a monster drags her underground. SHE HAS BECOME LUNCH. [[Continue? ->Story Begins]] Without wasting any time, she grabs the vines and growth and starts to scramble up the well. Beneath her, insect like legs and a monsterous mouth pop out of the soft soil, pinchers snatching at her feet. The vines are starting to give way... [[Grab the wall]] [[Throw a shoe]]She frantically grabs whatever loose cracks in the wall in an attempt to gain balance. The vines are pulling out of the wall. The monster is climbing up the well, and it's hungry. She looks down and sees the spider like creature clicking it's pincers. She has to think fast... [[Keep Climbing]] [[Throw a shoe]] She takes a shoe and chucks it at the monster below. The monster POUNCES on the shoe and drags it happily down into the earth. She breathes a sigh of relief...but can't help but wonder how long it will last. [[Keep Climbing]] Grabbing anything in reach, she pulls herself higher and higher up the well. The well feels incredibly deep, and she's unsure if she will outclimb the monster. [[Climb higher]] [[Intimidate the monster]]She continues to climb, knowing that time is not on her side. She's about two thirds of the way out of the well, the light so close within reach. She looks around to see what else she could grab, as the vines have all run out. There's an old rope above, hanging from where the water bucket used to lower. The arachnid shoots it's web at her legs! [[Jump for the rope]] [[Dodge]]Taking a moment, she takes a big deep breath and SCREAMS at the monster. RAHHHHHH!!! The monster pauses. Then she hears a gutteral laugh. Hehehehehehehehehe. YoU tHiNk YoU cAn ScArE MEEEEE? [[Hold her ground]] [[Retreat]] She holds her ground and yells even louder, "GET AWAY FROM ME YOU FREAK!" The spider pauses. All 8 of it's eyes fill with water. It hisses, "Wow you are so freaking rude... I just wanted to eat you." It climbs back down the well and back into the sand. She hears a faint sound of whimpering below. Taking advantage, she spots a rope above her. [[Jump for the rope]] Fear takes hold and she contines to climb, but the vines give way. The monster snatches her and it's fangs sink deep into her leg. She screams! [[Attack]] [[Pry it's mouth open]]With quick thinking, she grabs a loose sharp stick and jabs it into one of the creatures many many eyes. The monster screams and scratches it's face to try and get the stick out. [[Attack again]] [[Climb higher]] Letting go of the vines, she drops and puts all her weight on top of the monster, desperately trying to pull it's pincers off her leg. The monster squeals and shouts, "I'VE GOT YOU." It intentially drops them both down into the well together. Gravity crashes her body all the way down to the floor. The creature grabs her and drags her down, sand filling her mouth as she screams. SHE IS DEAD. [[Continue? ->Story Begins]] She grabs the stick in the monsters eye and jabs another one. The spider shrieks again and retreats under the sand. She peers above, looking for a way out. She spots a rope... [[Jump for the rope]] She jumps for the rope! It gives way a bit but holds. The wood has been rotting, so she has to hurry! [[Reach the top]]She tries to dodge the webbing, but it hits her torso. She is now stuck to the side of the wells wall. In the darkness the creature has a gutteral chuckle... [[Pull free]] [[Look around]]Wiggling and pulling only makes the webbing more sticky, and she fuses to the side of the wall. The creature climbs up clicking hungrily. It slowly reaches eye level, it's fangs dripping down it's face. "Delicious..." SHE IS DEAD. [[Continue? ->Story Begins]] She realizes her jacket can be left behind if she stays calm and slides out of it. The more she moves the tighter the webbing becomes. Controlling her breathing, she slips out and notices a rope above... [[Jump for the rope]] Grabbing the top of the well with both hands, she drags herself out and falls to the side. She inhales and lets out a deep sigh. CONGRATULATIONS. YOU ESCAPED THE WELL.
