The snow leopard respond to the alarm by yawning and stretching, slumping to the ground and watching you. Before you properly process its sudden lack of interest in you, pain wracks your body. You stumble forward, shivering a heat ripples over your form. A strangled growl radiates from your throat as pressure pushes your jaw forward and whiskers pierce your cheeks. Your ankles, knees, and hips shift, knocking you forward. Thousands of stings bite your skin as fur sprouts from it, puffing up into a proper thick coat of gray with black rosettes. Another pop in your hips drops you forward to your hands, fingers shrunk into blunt stubs. The waistband of your pants slips down shrinking hips, allowing a growing tail to spring free, swishing back and forth absently. Waves of heat pour from your body as you lose mass. Your shifting skull pushes in on your mind, your focus blurring as heat and pain thread through your thoughts. You can feel it plucking away at your humanity, remaking your mind into that of a snow leopard. Despite any desire to resist, you are incapable of stopping it from happening, and within a few moments, you're no longer capable of contemplating what you were pushing against. You stretch and shake, splitting the increasingly foreign things wrapped around your body. Pressure swells in your jaw as your face pushes forward, joined by lances of pain as whiskers pierce your cheeks. Your cries for help are strangled into a pained squeak as your teeth shift and your ears round out and move up your head. A strange growth stretches from your spine, sliding against the seat of your pants before filling the increasingly open space in your clothes as your mass dwindles. Ripples of heat wash from you as lose mass, rapidly shrinking into your uniform. Your shoulders pop and your hips snap, turning you into a proper quadruped, but your focus is pulled to the massive headache assaulting you as your skull shrinks in against your brain, strainging your mind. As your head physically collapses, so to does your focus, losing bits of yourself as things simplify, fear of your change slipping away to be replaced by fear of being out in the open. You cramble free of your cloth prison, horrified at being surrounded by such an unfamiliar scent. You scramble away, long pink tail twitching behind you as your rat mind searches desperately for a safe hole to hide in, leaving behind any evidence or semblence you'd been anything but a small rodent.
