The Portal

You walk through the woods - the same path you always do day after day. You don’t know why, but you feel drawn to a clearing in the woods. Like a magnetic pull, you can’t escape for long. You start to explore the classic book section. Soon you realize these aren’t classics at all. Instead of Sherlock Holmes or Grimm’s Fairy Tales, you Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Humpty Dumpty, Frère Jacques, and more. The books somehow are as big as a chapter book. As a mythology fanatic, you are perplexed when you don't recognize anything. You flip through a book named <book>Magical Creatures,</book> expecting to see pegasi and kelpie. If you are on the ground and it catches sight of you, try to get to water and swim down fast. They are good swimmers but can't go underwater for long. Once they see you are out of range, they will leave (hopefully). If it's in flight, you are doomed because you will never see it until it's too late. You emerge from the portal and realize you are in a giant, cavernous hallway. There is a stone structure that resembles an information case found at nature parks. A woman was heading towards you from the blue portal and was standing above you in a matter of seconds - her presence demanding attention. "Who are you? How did you get here?" she asks. You sprint past the woman and make it through the portal into the clearing. Unfortunately, you haven't made it to the gym in a while and are gasping for air. [[wait|wait]] (set:$wait_count to 0)

"I was going on my morning walk through the woods. When I came to the clearing, I saw a portal. "I said get on the ground!" he yells at you. You don't know why but you have a strange feeling. Like you are invincible. A green portal appeared behind the man and the woman from before came out of it.
