At the North Pole, where the snowflakes land,
Lives Santa Claus, with a heart so grand.
One Christmas Eve, as he packed his sleigh,
A mix-up occurred, to everyone's dismay!
The elves had worked with the best of cheer,
But one made an error, oh so severe.
The presents were sent off with coal inside,
A mistake that left Santa wide-eyed.
"Oh no!" he cried, "This can't be!
The children will think they've been naughty!
We must fix this mess, as quick as we can,
Because Christmas morning will soon be at hand!"
So Santa took off, with a heart full of dread,
To recall the presents, and fix what was spread.
He flew through the snow, his reindeer so bright,
Determined to make everything right.
He dodged birds and trees, with a sleigh so fast,
Collecting the presents, and fixing the past.
He picked up the coal, from children so sweet,
And replaced them with toys, brand-new and neat.
Some children were naughty, with candy canes thrown,
So Santa left the coal at their houses alone.
He worked through the night, with a heart full of cheer,
For he knew that Christmas was drawing near.
He recalled the presents one by one,
Until the job was over, and the night was won.
The children woke up, with smiles open wide,
For all of their presents had real gifts inside.
So remember this tale, of a Christmas recall,
A crisis avoided, and a good Christmas for all.
With a heart full of cheer, and a sleigh full of toys,
Santa brought joy to the world, to all girls and all boys.
And if you ever see a glowing ball in the sky,
It's might be Santa watching, with a twinkle in his eye.
So be good, be kind, and spread Christmas cheer,
Santa rewards those who hold others dear.
Merry Christmas to all, to all a good night,
With presents recalled, and everything right.
