It is so silent with woods all around you, there is little to hear other than the occasional bird in the distance. There is a large porch-like area at the front of the building, you start to speak to the spirits lingering on the outside of this historic structure.
You decide that now is a good time to pull out your spirit box to see if you can capture some responses. Turning the box on disrupts the silence of nature, making it quite difficult to hear much of anything.
\"If there are any spirits here, please make yourselves known.\" you say as you listen as closely as you can, trying to make out anything that this box of gibberish spits out. Then there is a muffled sound of a bark...or maybe a deep voice perhaps, I am not sure it is always hard to tell.
