The Trail By Hope Kimball [[Start The Game]]

Erin is a rational and grounded student she is known for her intelligence and her logical thinking. Her top subjects are math and science and she struggles in anything creative. She is part of a close-knit group. She is often the voice of rule and reason and questions superstitions and ghost stories beacsue she doesn't believe in them. She comes off as blunt and serious but cares very deeply for her friends, especially Jake. Ava is an adventurous and very optimistic twin sister of Jake. She is known for her enthusiasm and creativity in school and out. She inspires and pushes her friends to explore and think outside the box. Ava shares a strong bond with Jake encourages Erin to embrace new experiences and loves having competition with Liam. She faces danger with a positive attitude. .Liam and Jake are protective people in the group. Liam is known for his level-headedness. he often shares a playful rivalry with Ava. he values his friendships deeply and will always put himself in danger to save a friend. Jake is the leader of this group making sure everyone is on the right track and keeping everyone safe. [[It begins]]

It was a cold crisp spring day when Erin and her closest friends boarded a school bus for their senior trip. The whole grade went to the national park but they were told to go in groups so they chose each other. [[on the trail]]

"Did you guys hear the legend about this place?" Ava said [[What legends]]

Ava says "They say that there are spirits that roam the woods at night!" [[Spirits?]] [[*roll eyes and keep walking*]]

Erin says "Spirits dont exist, knockk it off with that crap." [[*roll eyes and keep walking*]]

"We are here for a school field trip, not a horror movie," Erin says as she continues walking. Liam is walking beside Erin and he says "Come on Erin just let her try to scare us, it's not like we are gonna see any ghosts." He shot her a reassuring smile. [[Hey Guys what time were we supposed to be back at the bus?]] [[Who knows the way back so we dont get lost]]

Ava looked at you " afaid of the spirits coming to get this [[Stop trying to scare everyone Ava.]]

"i do! dont worry just relax today take in the view and nature" Jake says [[Mock him]]

*A twig snaps in the woods right behind you from the trail* [[Jump from the noise]] [[Scream]]

"Guys this isn't funny at all. What if we get lost?" Ava says [[Stop trying to scare everyone Ava.]] [[Im heading back]]

Erin lost her breath from the panic. [[Stop trying to scare everyone Ava.]] [[Turn around and go back to the bus]]

Ava looks at you "why would i do that im really creeped out." [[Keep Hiking]]

The group carries on and keeps hiking. The sun is starting to set. [["UMMM guys" Erin says]]

You start walking to the bus as the sun goes down. You feel as if there is someone or somthing watching you. [[Walk faster]] [[Turn around to investigate]]

As you turn around you hear rustling in the trees. [[Turn back around and walk faster to the bus.]] [[ "Hello...Is anyone there? ]]

"Hello..." she moves slowley to the door staying low. to see a hooded creature standing not 15 feet from the bus. it knows she is in there. It must have followed her hear. [[Duck down and hide]] [[Turn back around and walk faster to the bus.]]

the rustling gets louder and louder [[Walk faster]] [[Run]]

your walk turns to a sprint and suddenly you are in a full run. not taking a moment for a breath you dont stop till you get to that bus. By the time you get to the bus its pitch black out you had gotten lost a few times. Your friends arent at the bus either. [[Wait for them there]]

Jake looked at her. "Are you sure?" Concern flickered in his eyes. "We can go together, Erin?" [[No, i don't want to hold you guys back.]] [[If you want to.]]

She shook her head, uncomfortable with holding everyone back. “You guys can stay a little longer if you want. I’ll be fine, I Just to get to the bus before it gets too dark.” Jake hesitated, but after Erin reassuringly smiled, he nodded. “Alright, just text me if you need anything. We won’t be far behind.” You tune around and start walking while all your friends are joking around [[Start heading back]]

Erin looked at him, surprised. “You don’t have to. I’m fine.” Jake shrugged, giving her a casual smile. “It’s no big deal. Plus, I’d rather walk with you than get dragged into another ghost story by Ava.” [[Roll your eye's]] [[Start walking together]]

Erin gave him a quick wave, then turned and started down the trail alone, the fading sounds of her friend's laughter echoing behind her. [[Keep walking]]

The farther she walked from her friend's she could hear their voices fade. The forest felt as if it was closing in on her. The trees were tall and their branches twisting against the dimming sky. She kept her eyes on the narrow path. but then she hears somthing rustling in the tree's. [[Walk]] [[Run]]

"Its just an animal." She says that to herself to calm her down. The noise continues getting closer and closer. [[Run]] [[Turn around]]

Taking a shaky breath. Her eyes darted to the trees every few seconds. But the rustling followed her, soft but deliberate, like footsteps trying to match her own. Panic surged inside her chest. [[Trail of and try to loose them in the woods]]

Erin's heart pounded as she glanced toward the trees. The undergrowth swayed, and she caught the faintest movement, like something or someone was lurking just out of sight. Peering into the thickening shadows. She called out, her voice small and uncertain. [[Hello]]

No answer. Just the faint echo of her voice swallowed by the forest. Whipping her head back her feet moved faster and faster until she was running. Running so fast she could hardly breathe. Her heart was racing as she heard someone. "Run faster," a deep voice said trailing behind her getting closer with every step. [[Trail of and try to loose them in the woods]]

After what feels like hours of running through the thick tree's you see the buss in the distance. Its so close. [[Run towards the bus]]

Jake walking silently says "Are you sure you're ok?" [[Yeah, I just... Dont like it out here.]]

Jake nodded. “I get it. Ava can get carried away with her jokes and scary stuff.” [[Yeah she is lucky she is so funny.]] [[Its getting dark we should move faster.]]

You carry on and try to ignore your gut feeling. [[Keep walking]]

"You seem out of it" she says to jake. [[Whats on your mind Jake]]

His smile faded as he noticed the growing darkness around them. He wanted to make her feel better, to ease her nerves, but his heart was pounding for a different reason. He’d always cared about Erin more than just a friend and now that they were alone, he couldn’t stop thinking about it. [[Whats on your mind Jake]]

Jake thinks to himself “ Erin i have wanted to say this for awile now but i..." he says. Erin looks at him but a russtle from behind them sounds. [["what was that?" Erin said]]

"Jake i dont like this" she muttered. He looked at her "it was nothing probably a animal" he says ready to tell her how he feels. [[ Jake tells her how he feels]]

"Erin, i need to tell you somthing..." before he could finish there was another rustle in the tree's. [[Jake goes and checks the sound.]] [[Erin goes and checks the sound.]]

He walks up to the treeline and it wasnt the wind or a small creature when he noticed a figure run from behind one tree to another. [[Yell at the figure]] [[Get out of there]]

She walks up to the treeline. She hears laughing faintly in the distance. [[Jake, i hear somthing.]] [[Try to get a better look]]

"HEY...HEY, I SEE YOU. COME OUT NOW." they yell and the figure comes out from the tree standing there in the distance. A hooded figure standing there as still as a statue. Jake turns back to Erin and the figure disappears. [[Run NOW.]]

"We need to leave now." he says [[ Erin look's closer]]

There is a figure standing there not moving. [[Yell at the figure]]

Im not going in there lets just get back to the bus and leave. [[Run NOW.]]

They lock hands and run for their lives. That figure had been following them for a while. as they ran tehy could hear the footprints chasing after them but it sounded like more than one person it sounded like alot. They were outnumbered. [[Turn to face them]] [[go off the trail into the woods]]

your staring at them not one but 4 cloaked figures. All standing still waiting.

Running for what felt like hours in the thick woods. Their breaths were shallow as they tried to regain their composure. The footsteps had faded, but the dread still hung in the air. They were lost, the trail nowhere to be seen, swallowed by the dense trees and darkness. Jake’s hand still clutched Erin’s, but both knew that they had to move staying put wasn’t an option. [[find the others]] [[Tell Erin how you feel]]

"Guys we need to get out of here now" Erin says Ava looks at yyou as says "do you see that?" [[Try to get a better look]]

As your running and running there is no sign of your friends. You have lost everyone. you are alone. You are running once again this time towards the bus. You will have to find them later. Right now you need to find help. Your running, and three of the figures are now chasing you once again. [[Dont Look Back]] [[Stop]]

"Erin, i need to say this now before somthing happens. I need you to know." he says with panic in his voice. "Erin i love you, I have loved you since first grade." [[Have Erin tell him how she feels]] [[Jake, i hear somthing.]]

"Jake, I love you. But this is not how we are going, we are going to find the others and get back to the bus. We are getting out of here." she says to him and smile on his face with a tear streaming down hers. Before they could get close a twig snapped and it was black. [[Wake up]]

you awake and cant see anything. [[Thrash around]] [["Hello"]] [["ahhhhhhhhh"]]

minutes turned into hours and they still hadnt showed up. [[Continue waiting]]

its been 3 hours and noone is back including the teacher or the other kids from the bus."The other kids and the teacher must have decided to camp for the night in the park" she said to her self. "My group must have found them ill just wait here for everyone in the morning." she says as she shuts the bus door and locks herself in for the night. [[Lay down on a bus seat]]

You wait to a knock on the bus. [[ "Hello...Is anyone there? ]]

As you hide you can hear a thud bouncing off the bus. the figure is holding Jakes backpack and on the ground in front of the bus is Avas backpack. "NO... they couldnt be." she says in a whisper. the figure points a finger at me telling me to come out. [[Open the door]]

"WHAT DO YOU WA...." she said but before she could finish another figure was crawling through a window of the bus and knocking her out. [[Wake up]]

As you see a shadow move in the woods. [[Walk]]

You are running you can barely breath. After what feels like eternity you see the buses. [["I see the bus run faster."]]

You stop and the fugures have now circlerd you not just the three that were chasing you but six. There were six closing you in. Now six of these figures around you they throw a bag over your head and kock you out. [[Your head hurts]]

You wake up and cant see anything your arms are strapped down and your legs too. you yell but there is no response till you hear humming from around you. The bag is ripped off your head and after your eyes adjust the figures are cloaked and arre lit up my torches. they are holding hands ecept the one holding the knife. [["Stop..Stop]]

as you beg their singing gets louder and they get closer bringing the knife in the air and plundging it into your chest. their singing is deafening as they chant somthing you dont understand as you choke on your blood. [[Restart]]

As you run and run you can feel the presence around you. The bus is so close. As you approach the bus the teacher is standing there and you run up to him and tells you that you are being chased you couldnt find your group and that he needs to call help. The teacher calls the police and there is a search for Ava, Liam, and Jake but none of them were found. the only thing that was found was all their gear left in a pile at the outlook. Your friends still missing a month later. You have almost drove your slef insane trying to figure out where they went and who those figures were. [[Next]]

You died and didnt make it back to the buss or save your friends. Restart and try again. [[Meet the group]]

You lost your friends and got out of the national park. But did you really win or are you at fault for not finding them. [[Restart]]

The figures are gone once you see the teacher insight. You run up to him and tell him what happened. After you are rambling and not making since you hear them. all your friends alive. they are running from the woodline. Covered in cuts and scrapes but alive. You all hug and cry and get on teh bus and back to school. but what really happened there? Who were those people and what did they want. You and your friends are safe but at what costs and how many more people will those things go after. [[Restart]]

You thrash till you hit something and he yells. You recognize that voice. It's Jake. "JAKE" you yell. Jake says " Yes oh my god Erin are you ok?" then you hear Ava and Liam. "oh my god im so glad you hear your guy's voice." Liam says [["Im fine we need to get out of here"]]

"SHHHHHH. Why would you yell that there is knowone here to help us." All your hoods swing off at the same tiem and you can see. you are all in a room with a dirt floor surrounded by people that you didnt even know were there. 9 figures is what you can see all behind you guys trapping you here. The figures chanting getting louder and louder its deafening. You cant block your ears becasue your hands are tied behind you back. a figure standing behind each of us hoilding a knife as we all start to scream and panic. the chanting stops suddenly and a fire explodes inbetween us and the center of the circle and the knife plunges into each of our stomaches. leaving our blood to pool in the center of the fire. [[The end]]

As you start to panic you hear all of your friends yell as well. [["Help...Help me"]]

"guys is that you." Erin says in desperation. liam says "no its the kidnapper! WHO ELSE WOULD IT BE." [["Is everyone ok"]]

[["Im fine we need to get out of here"]]

You can hear chanting getting closer. [[SHHHHHH]]

"Maybe its someone that can help us." Ava says so ava continues to yell [["Hello"]]

You have reached the end and you all died. Restart and try again. [[Restart]]

The group is hiking along a narrow, winding trail through the Tongass National Park, surrounded by towering trees and the distant sound of a flowing creek. As they approach a scenic overlook, the sunlight filters through the leaves, creating a dappled effect on the ground. Ava, Liam, Erin, and Jake are best friends. Ava and Jake have been inseparable twins since birth but will be at each other's throats instantly if one annoys the other. They have had this close group since first grade and now it's a month before their high school graduation and they are on their final trip before heading to college. [[Meet the group]]
