Audia City is the capital of Audia Country, the largest nation in the continent of Yankton. The continent is divided into 4 sovereign nations, with North Yankton to the north, Monterrey to the south, and the island nation of Cuvamanos to the south east. Audia is a project on a scale never before attempted. Planned to comprise of over 20 different cities and regions and so far worked on by over 1000 builders. This is a world record build like no other, and we are appreciative of your interest by downloading. Every small amount of support goes a long way. So if you are only interested in flying away and exploring the map on your own, have at it, and enjoy. Otherwise, you can go through these doors, and delve into the lore and history of Minecraft's largest map.

Audia City is a coastal city and is one of the oldest population centers in all of Audia Country. In 1784 settlers first arrived in the Audia river basin as pioneers from the east in search for a perfect place to be independent from the powers of the monarchy in the east at the time. Pioneer Oliver Pitman first charted the area north of modern day Audia City, and planning a small settlement near a local river outlet in the area that is now the Imperial Valley. At the time, all of the desert areas around the mountains were interconnected in one river system that flowed from the Sargasso sea to the ocean. However, cartographer John Audia, who led his own trek to the west, stumbled across the basin just south, and proclaimed it be; "The best Godsend piece of land ever to be found." As it was a rich, vibrant, and lively basin of vegitaion, water, and flatlands. By 1785, the first settlers along side of John Audia cultivated the land near the river basin, and on the delta of the San Clamente river. The river was named after a previous, previous explorer in the early 1700s who navigated the coastal regions of the area. It wasn't until the early 1800s until the colony expanded to a full on trading outpost for the western portion of the country. The larger and more prominent settlement of Huntington City to the north actively traded with the Audia colony with their agriculture and resource abundant environment. This made the area a booming economic success. Soon after Oliver Pitman's settlement in the northern Imperial Valley and the Imperial Valley Mining Co would go out of business due to the nearby river drying up, leaving the area as a desolate mountain. This forced the population in the region to move south, and merge themselves into the growing colony of Audia, and by 1810, officially incorporated Audia City, with a population of 11,000. Audia City resides in the San Clamente River Basin, a large costal basin that was formed naturally by a river system. About 10,000 years ago the area was nearly completely underwater as a swampy grassland as the now nonexistent San Clamente river formed a delta that carved the landscape. 50,000 years before that, the entire Sargasso Sea engulfed the area from east, to the east desert valley, however, due to the seismic activity from the San Andreas fault over thousands of years, the land in the eastern desert valley slowly sank lower in altitude, cutting it off from the main river system, slowly allowing the flooded area to evaporate until leaving behind only what is left of the Sargasso Sea today and isolating the rest of the river to the west by a large mountain range. The land elevation has dropped nearly 1000 feet within that time. It is assumed the inland sea will dry up completely in the next 1000 years. The area is very earthquake prone as per it being carved out by the major fault line, but hosts a Mediterranean temperate climate year round. The main delta of the ancient river lies where by modern day Audia City Airport is, on the south end of the San Clamente bay. With a secondary delta to the south that formed modern day Mission Bay and the Audia Harbor. One of the oldest still-standing structures in Audia City is the old town Observation Town. In 1904, originally built as a prized hallmark of the city, intended to be seen for miles around, its main purpose was to also serve as a raise tower for the area. At 520 feet tall, it was the tallest building on the west coast for 50 years! In 1962 after a major earthquake, the tower, which was first entirely made out of wood, was structurally damaged. It was then refurbished and reconstructed in a white glossy finished, and later recognized as a historical landmark. The tower now hosts a restaurant on its top floor. The oldest building in Audia City is a small courthouse tucked away in the center of Audia City harbor. Constructed in 1812, this building once served as the town hall. Now it is a part of the museum of nautical history. Farming was the primary industry of the Audia region until the year 1870, where the war of the eastern monarchy resulted in the separation of the land into individually riled municipalities. Many of the population in the east where displaced forced to travel west to find new places to call home. This was the cause of the explosion of Audia City, and the population reached nearly 100,000 by 1874. It was at this point that a system of transport became of high demand in order to link the east to the west, so the first intercontinental railroad, named the Santa Fe, was built in only 6 years. The Santa Fe mining company used the money from the lucrative gold mining in the Audia region, to start the rail line there. By 1888 the proclamation of eminent domain declared freedom amongst the separate states of the union, but only by being divided into counties. The Audia City region was declared San Clamente county, and stretched from the southern national border to the northern Imperial Valley. Audia became a center for the national navy, as its natural harbor formed by the river delta was a strategically useful location. Soon the main military power balance shifted from Huntington down to Audia. The Santa Fe railroad soon became overcapacity due to the influx of population to the west. By 1890 there was almost more people on the west as there was on the east. Audia City basin alone lay claim to nearly 250,000. An idea was made to create a new means of intercontinental highways. Up to this point, the only way of travelling was possible outside of trains was on foot or horseback. By 1895 the invention of the car was taking off rapidly in adoption, and a bill was successfully passed to go through the creation of a country-wide highway system, paid for by all the counties in agreement to have them pass through. Later in the same year, ground was broken on the first route, historic Route 1, which would link the western cities together from north to south. Later on as the nearby Oshode City north of Audia began expanding, the second highway names intercontinental 10, (I10) began construction in the route to the east coast. By the year 1900, the first ever coast-to-coast highway, interstate 10 was complete. By 1900, Audia had expanded to fill up the entirety of the San Clamente basin, using up almost all of the water supply of the river, the area became a more dry environment, but easier for the sprawling city to expand. By 1910, all of the water supply was reliant on the northern Oshode river, and Oshode City began to expand soon, soon outpacing Audia City in size and population. More of the wealthy population of Audia stayed in heavily gentrified areas while large swaths of the rest moved north to find a more affordable lifestyle. This overtime led to Audia and many distinctive neighborhoods being cut off and divided into very affluent areas and poor areas. Where's Oshode to the north expanded into a more evenly distributed economy with its massive sprawl. Land value in the Audia area, especially near the most lucrative infrastructure like the Audia Harbor and Mission Bay area skyrocketed wheras, the separate district of Imperial City on the east, cut off by the 101 freeway resulted in very impoverished areas being unable to develop. To this day the major divide is still an impactful effect on the inhabitants. The City of Audia passed a sanction in 1954 that restricted new budget of infrastructure to Imperial City south, stunting the economic growth of communities in this area, as Imperial City's only profitable industry is agriculture, and was dwindling due to competition from all other cities around the country at this point. Lots of the population left voluntarily, whilst others were evicted, leaving large portions of south Audia and Lawndale in urban decay by 1960 however, due to the population of Audia City declining for the first time in history, the bill to cut off funding for this region was revoked, and a new development went underway. The pressure of Oshode City's competition was enough of an incentive for Audia to once again unite as a full city. By 1984 the population reached 500,000 and slowly began increasing again, with lots of new areas being gentrified and redeveloped, still, forcing a lot of he previous residence to move north, resulting in large urban development projects in Oshode City, Long Beach, and Inglewood. The modern population of Audia City is 810,000, landing it as the 3rd most populous city in the country, whereas all of the San Clamente county is home to nearly 1.1 million. The modern economy had mostly shifted to the shipping industry as well as movie and media industry by the turn of the 2000s. Today it is widely considered to be in an upswing, and is becoming a better and more welcoming place for all. The first skyscraper in Audia City is the historic 111 building on 1st street and highway 1. Constructed in 1965, it kept its original sandy color scheme for its whole life. At 600 feet, it kept the title of the city's tallest building for a few years before being passed by the AON center in 1974. The current tallest building in the City is the Gold Coast Music Center, or GCMC, in north Downtown, newly constructed in 2021, this 1094' building is the tallest structure on the west coast. Audia City has had a rocky track record of quality of living. Many migrators from the east and many more to the twin city area (Oshodia), in homes to find the dream of opportunity, wealth, stardom, and security. However, such a large population invariably leads to large problems. Throughout the 20th century, the Oshodia metro was riddled with crime. In 1970, Audia City was rated the #1 WORST city to live in the country, but in 2023, recently was rated #2 second BEST. Now that's a glow up. The Unity Records building, the famously twisted brown building near the airport, is one of the most well known attractions in the city. Being featured in many popular YouTube videos, and even a YouTube short with over 7 million views. The most expensive house in all of Audia City is the Mayor's Mansion north of Audia Harbor. It is a 10 acre manor situated near the beach that was built for the previous mayor. Now it is an art museum. The original asking price was estimated at $150,000,000 in today's value. There is currently a $10 billion dollar project underway to redesign the outdated municipal Audia Airport with a new international airport, along with a redesigned port, and a 2-mile underwater tunnel. Audia City is the southernmost city on the west coast of Audia Country and is the beginning of route 101. The Gold Coast Highway connects Escondido, Audia, Oshode, Huntington, and Mattupolis in the far north. Stretching over 100 miles. There are over 14,000 buildings in Audia City, consisting of an estimated 2,200,000,000 Blocks. Thats Billion with a B. When the 1963 earthquake hit under the Sargasso Sea, it registered at a 7.8 in Audia City, resulting in over 500 building collapses. One building still stands with after being split in two . All cities are prominent in at least one culturally significant area. In Audia City's case, it would be its prolific music industry. Audia City is colloquially called "Audio City". Whereas, Oshode City is world renown for its film and music production, Audia holds strong with music and art. There are over 15 prestigious record labels in Audia City. Having produced over 400 of the 10000 albums and songs of the 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s. Mayor EDM artists in particular call Audia home. Many music video hits have also come from Audia City.

With over 200,000 total downloads, Audia city is now so much more than just one city, but a sprawling metropolitan area resembling a 1:10 ratio of all southern California, (Los Angeles – San Diego) regions.

And now with an active plan to expand the map into a full-fledged country-sized world, with numerous cities and regions to explore! This Minecraft map will soon be the largest custom made world ever made!

Attention all players of MineCountry! It is crucial to understand that if you attempt to load MineCountry on Minecraft versions 1.21.2 or higher, you are likely to encounter significant chunk loading errors. These errors can severely degrade the gameplay experience, making it nearly impossible to enjoy the world as intended. The recommended version for an optimal experience is Minecraft 1.21.1.

If you are using any of the 1.21.5 snapshots (25w02a+), you may encounter a plethora of "Not a string" errors and severe exceptions when attempting to load chunks. These errors have the potential to cause crashes and even corrupt the world, possibly beyond repair. Moreover, if you try to load the world on version 1.21.1 afterward, all text on signs will be corrupted, rendering vital world information and lore unintelligible.

How to Install Nobisco for SimCity 4

Step 1: Go to the itch.io Website

• Open your preferred web browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.).
• In the address bar, type https://disasterroyal3773.itch.io/nobisco and press Enter.

Step 2: Search for "Nobisco"

• On the itch.io homepage, locate the search bar (usually at the top right).
• Type "Nobisco" and press Enter or click the magnifying glass icon.
• Browse the search results and look for the listing titled "Nobisco" (or a similar name).
• Click on the correct result to open the download page.

Step 3: Navigate to the Download Section

• On the Nobisco page, scroll down to the Download section.
• Look for a file named Nobisco.zip (or a similar name).
• If the download is free, you will see a Download button.
• If it requires a donation, you may need to enter an amount or select "$0" if it's "Pay What You Want."

Step 4: Download the File

• Click the Download button.
• If prompted, choose a download location on your computer (e.g., Downloads folder).
• Wait for the file to finish downloading.

Step 5: Extract the Downloaded Zip File

• Locate the downloaded Nobisco.zip file on your computer.
• Right-click the file and choose Extract All… (Windows) or Open with > Archive Utility (Mac).
• Select a destination folder (e.g., Documents\SimCity 4\Regions\Nobisco).
• Click Extract and wait for the process to complete.

Step 6: Move the Extracted Folder to the SimCity 4 Regions Directory

• Open the extracted Nobisco folder.
• Locate the main Nobisco region folder inside.
• Move this folder to your SimCity 4 regions directory:
• Windows: Documents\SimCity 4\Regions
• Mac: ~/Documents/SimCity 4/Regions

Step 7: Load the Nobisco Region in SimCity 4

• Launch SimCity 4.
• On the main menu, select Load Region.
• Find and select Nobisco from the list.
• The region should now be available for play.

Optional: Import the Region Using a Config File (If Needed)

• If the region appears blank, navigate to Nobisco\Region.ini or config.bmp.
• Open SimCity 4 and use the Create Region option.
• Select the config.bmp file and let the game generate the correct city tiles.

Arnis

This open source project written in Rust generates any chosen location from the real world in Minecraft Java Edition with a high level of detail.

By leveraging geospatial data from OpenStreetMap and utilizing the powerful capabilities of Rust, Arnis provides an efficient and robust solution for creating complex and accurate Minecraft worlds that reflect real-world geography and architecture.

Arnis is designed to handle large-scale data and generate rich, immersive environments that bring real-world cities, landmarks, and natural features into the Minecraft universe. Whether you're looking to replicate your hometown, explore urban environments, or simply build something unique and realistic, Arnis generates your vision.

⌨️ Usage

Download the latest release or compile the project on your own.

Choose your area in Arnis using the rectangle tool and select your Minecraft world - then simply click on 'Start Generation'! The world will always be generated starting from the Minecraft coordinates 0 0 0 (/tp 0 0 0). This is the top left of your selected area.

To generate your world with terrain, make sure to enable the corresponding feature in the generation settings.

Minecraft version 1.16.5 and below is currently not supported, but we are working on it! For the best results, use Minecraft version 1.21.4. If you choose to select an own world, be aware that Arnis will overwrite certain areas.

💾 How it works

The raw data obtained from the API (see FAQ) includes each element (buildings, walls, fountains, farmlands, etc.) with its respective corner coordinates (nodes) and descriptive tags. When you run Arnis, the following steps are performed automatically to generate a Minecraft world:

Processing Pipeline

1. Fetching Data from the Overpass API: The script retrieves geospatial data for the desired bounding box from the Overpass API.
2. Parsing Raw Data: The raw data is parsed to extract essential information like nodes, ways, and relations. Nodes are converted into Minecraft coordinates, and relations are handled similarly to ways, ensuring all relevant elements are processed correctly. Relations and ways cluster several nodes into one specific object.
3. Prioritizing and Sorting Elements: The elements (nodes, ways, relations) are sorted by priority to establish a layering system, which ensures that certain types of elements (e.g., entrances and buildings) are generated in the correct order to avoid conflicts and overlapping structures.
4. Generating Minecraft World: The Minecraft world is generated using a series of element processors (generate_buildings, generate_highways, generate_landuse, etc.) that interpret the tags and nodes of each element to place the appropriate blocks in the Minecraft world. These processors handle the logic for creating 3D structures, roads, natural formations, and more, as specified by the processed data.
5. Generating Ground Layer: A ground layer is generated based on the provided scale factors to provide a base for the entire Minecraft world. This step ensures all areas have an appropriate foundation (e.g., grass and dirt layers).
6. Saving the Minecraft World: All the modified chunks are saved back to the Minecraft region files.

❓ FAQ

• Wasn't this written in Python before?
  Yes! Arnis was initially developed in Python, which benefited from Python's open-source friendliness and ease of readability. This is why we strive for clear, well-documented code in the Rust port of this project to find the right balance. I decided to port the project to Rust to learn more about the language and push the algorithm's performance further. We were nearing the limits of optimization in Python, and Rust's capabilities allow for even better performance and efficiency. The old Python implementation is still available in the python-legacy branch.

• Where does the data come from?
  The geographic data is sourced from OpenStreetMap (OSM)¹, a free, collaborative mapping project that serves as an open-source alternative to commercial mapping services. The data is accessed via the Overpass API, which queries OSM's database. Other services like Google Maps do not provide data like this, which makes OSM perfect for this project.

• How does the Minecraft world generation work?
  The script uses the fastnbt cargo package to interact with Minecraft's world format. This library allows Arnis to manipulate Minecraft region files, enabling the generation of real-world locations. The section 'Processing Pipeline' goes a bit further into the details and steps of the generation process itself.

• Where does the name come from?
  The project is named after the smallest city in Germany, Arnis². The city's small size made it an ideal test case for developing and debugging the algorithm efficiently.

• I don't have Minecraft installed but want to generate a world for my kids. How?
  When selecting a world, click on 'Select existing world' and choose a directory. The world will be generated there.

• Arnis instantly closes again or the window is empty!
  If you're on Windows, please install the Evergreen Bootstrapper from Microsoft.

  If you're on Linux, your system might be missing the webkit2gtk-4.1 library, install the corresponding package using your distro's package manager.

• What Minecraft version should I use?
  Please use Minecraft version 1.21.4 for the best results. Minecraft version 1.16.5 and below is currently not supported, but we are working on it!

• The generation did finish, but there's nothing in the world!
  Make sure to teleport to the generation starting point (/tp 0 0 0). If there is still nothing, you might need to travel a bit further into the positive X and positive Z direction.

• What features are in the world generation settings?
  Terrain: Make sure to enable this feature to generate your world with elevation data included.
  Winter Mode: This setting changes the generation style to a snowy theme and adds snow layers to the ground.
  Scale Factor: The scale factor determines the size of the generated world.
  Custom BBOX Input: This setting allows you to manually input the bounding box coordinates for the area you want to generate.
  Floodfill-Timeout (Sec): This setting determines the maximum time the floodfill algorithm is allowed to run before being terminated. Increasing this value may improve the generation of large water areas but may also increase processing time.
  Ground Height: This setting determines the base height of the generated world and can be adjusted to create different terrain types.
