You wake up to the sound of your alarm. You turn off the alarm, let out a sigh, and do your morning stretches.
Time to get your day started.
[[You wash your face.]]
[[You head to the kitchen.]]You walk lazily into the bathroom and turn on the lights. Your reflection stares back at you. You look like shit.
You stare at yourself for a while before washing your face. You never thought it'd get this bad.
Its been days since you last ate.
[[You head to the kitchen.]] The dishes from weeks ago are piled up in the sink and there's a strange stench in the air.
It's probably time to clean out the fridge you think, but you have no energy to do so.
Your stomach growls in anticipation as you open the fridge door.
[[You grab your leftovers]]You open the tupperware lid and grimace. Leftovers are never good after this long. You should really stock up next time so this doesn't happen. Rationing was never your style anyways but things have changed. You have to do what you can to survive now.
You finish your meal and throw the tupperware onto the rest of the dirty dishes.
You look at the clock on the wall, it's almost time to leave.
[[You head to the bedroom]]
[[You head out the front door]]You open your closet and throw on some jeans and
[[your favorite black sweater]]
[[your second favorite black sweater]]
[[a soft, long-sleeved, black top]]
You might need to update your wardrobe. You grab your keys and start to turn the knob. You stop suddenly and look down. You aren't dressed yet and you're sure your landlady, Mrs. Meyers, wouldn't appreciate seeing you in your underwear.
[[You head to the bedroom]] You can never go wrong with this bad boy. The plush material reminds you of better days.
[[You grab your keys and leave]] The second best sweater in your closet. Full of regrets.
[[You grab your keys and leave]] Who are you kidding, it's another sweater. You'll stop wearing them when you're 5 feet under.
[[You grab your keys and leave]] Your phone pings and you look down to see a new message.
It's your favorite app.
"The hunt is on. Are you ready?"
[[I'm Ready]]
[[I'm Not Ready]]There's no time like the present.
Your phone pings again and you are given three locations.
There's the old bowling alley, run down and quiet as no one really cares to bowl anymore. No one has the time to enjoy such pleasures in life anymore. The only people who visit it anymore are the local teens who mainly smoke in the parking lot.
There's the underneath of the overpass, notorious for druggies and the majority of the homeless population. The whole area is all in all saddening and disgusting.
There's the city park, overrun with strays and the elders that care for them. It used to be vibrant and lively but now is decrepit and lonesome.
Where do you go?
[[Bowling Alley]]
[[Overpass]]
[[City Park]]Not today, you think. You continue your stroll through the city until you eventually tire yourself out and head back home.
You throw the keys back onto your table, your clothes in the hamper, and collapse into bed.
There's always tomorrow you think to yourself as you fall asleep to the city sounds.
[[You wake up]] You select the bowling alley and are shown a picture of a young boy. He looks young you think, too young for this. You almost regret your decision. His life has barely began but he was chosen anyways.
You approach them silently, pausing a couple feet away. Do you really want to go through with this? Is it really worth it? Are YOU really worth it?
[[There must be a better way]]
[[You can't resist any longer]]You select the overpass and are shown a picture of an older lady. She looks...horrible. You can only imagine the toxins she has contaminated her system with. It's not ideal but she will have to do. You make your way towards the overpass and eventually you find her passed out next to a pile of garbage, used needles scattered around her.
You approach them silently, pausing a couple feet away. Do you really want to go through with this? Is it really worth it? Are YOU really worth it?
[[There must be a better way]]
[[You can't resist any longer]]You select the city park and are shown a picture of an older man. He looks old and tired, yet full of life. He's had his share of life you think, everything must come to an end. You make your way to the park and find him alone on a bench talking to the stray animals as he feeds them. It almost pains you to get closer.
You approach them silently, pausing a couple feet away. Do you really want to go through with this? Is it really worth it? Are YOU really worth it?
[[There must be a better way]]
[[You can't resist any longer]]You can't keep living like this. There has to be another solution. You back away silently and make your way home. You've lasted longer on less, what's another day?
You continue your stroll through the city until you eventually tire yourself out and head back home.

There's always tomorrow you think to yourself as you fall asleep to the city sounds.
[[You wake up]] You attack. As your teeth sink deeper into their neck your vision goes blurry and euphoria fills your mind. You hate this but it feels so good to have fresh food again. You start to lose control and the blood begins to spill over your chin and down the front of your chest. You find it impossible to let them go as you drain your victim of life. You hear them pleading for you to stop inbetween their anguished gasps for air as their body slowly grows more limp. You wish you could stop but it's too late. The hunger has taken over you. You feel your energy returning to you. More. You need more. You are taken over by an unnatural force. You drop the body and walk towards the city. Your phone pings and you look down to see more locations have been posted. You smile. It's going to be a long night.
The End.
