Your weapon of choice is a wooden cricket bat, sharpened at the edges with rusted nails protruding from the bottom. Makeshift weapons are very common on the Sunny Coast. Before The Crash, strict gun laws were implemented and firearms are extremely rare.
Your mode of transport is a rusted bicycle.
[[Continue]] The Sunshine Plaza is a dangerous concrete jungle of pre-war consumerism. Positioned precariously close to the town of Maroochydore, a region notoriously frequented by the coast's scavengers, raiders, treasure hunters, and other low-lifes lower than the average lifeform these days. In the depths of its vast concrete carpark, roam packs of mindless scavengers suffering the brutal effects of radiation overdoses. These unfortunate souls are often former traders who fall ill from exposure to the irradiated river running through the centre of the plaza. The river is now a stagnant, venomous body of water that slowly cooks the plaza's inhabitants.
Despite the centre's obvious hazards, some brave and cunning scavengers have surprisingly managed to reclaim the main section of the shopping centre and repurpose its ability for trading and commerce. It's a shame they dont sell insurance here.

The sky is in its usual red haze as you ride for a few hours down a large highway. Dodging the endless supply of potholes, rusted vehicles and thieving gangs prowling the paved expanse. You reach an old theme park formerly known as Aussie World, its rusting hulks of steel bend into shapes that resemble a ferris wheel, a roller coaster and a few more mysterious structures, it reminds you of one big trash heap.
One particular structure catches your eye, resembling a large hut. It looks to be inhabited as you observe thin shapes moving behind the boarded windows. You decide to give the place a wide berth, at least for now. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>Audrey eyes the shadows. "That's not good, you're going in first."<</if>> You survey further to the left and discover a row of smaller huts resembling retail shops, tingling at the prospect of good salvage you consider your options.

You wish there was a Crocodile Hunter now as you survey dozens of crocodiles lazing in the sun of the zoo's carpark. The sheer size of their reptilian bodies make the neighbouring cars look tiny. Attached to the zoo's exterior you eye several large billboards plastered with a smiling man in khakis. You assume he was The Crocodile Hunter.

You decide to head to a place called The Ginger Factory. Although you do not know much about this place, you have heard several rumours from other scavengers. Stories of an empire built on a monopoly of things called ginger, coffee and macadamias, ruled by an ancient king and queen born before the dawn of time itself. Overall, you reckon it sounds like a pretty interesting place.
As you reach the gates of the Ginger Factory, you find them to be locked. Two burly men are posted at the front sporting an array of knives, bats and even a slingshot.
[[Approach the guards]]When standing at the entrance of the park, you are greeted with a sickly-sweet odour accompanied by a generous littering of stuffed toys, old popcorn and the occaisional human remain on the concrete. Out of the corner of your eye you spot a shadow zipping about between the attractions, hand on the hilt of your cricket bat you make a mental note of this exit. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>"$name, I feel like I'm being watched. Don't you?" Audrey shivers behind you.<</if>>

[[Return to the retail village->Scavenge the retail village]] You ride your bike past a small gas station, its fuel reserves most likely drained years ago. Past the station is a convenience store which to your dismay is also picked dry, the empty shelves are stocked with caked dirt and shattered glass. Past the gas station you survey the stores, most notably, there appears to be a Beefy's Pie shop and a store that says 'The Ole Lollie Shop.' Although you dont know what a <em>pie</em> or a <em>lollie</em> is, you are curious anyway. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>Audrey follows your gaze. "There won't be anything good left in here, the place has been picked dry."<</if>>

You step into the cafe, it appeared to sell a flaky, yellow lump of bread filled with a repulsive brown sludge, you conclude this from eyeing various pictures nailed to the wall. However you saw no actual pies save a few ancient crumbs in the trays. You sift through the front and back kitchens and manage to recover a strange red bottle called 'tomato sauce', after taking a sip of the red paste, you store it in your packpack for later. You also find a brown bottle but after tasting you find it has the sweet and tangy flavour of a barbecued magpie.

[[Leave the shop ->Scavenge the retail village]] The interior of the Lollie shop was still pleasing to look at despite the sheer magnitude of plastic wrappings on the ground, shattered glass and other mystery objects that were extremley sticky when touched. As a skilled scavenger you manage to recover some unopened plastic packages from under the tall cupboards and behind the furniture.
You examine one of the packages, 'Wizz Fizz.' Upon smelling the strange object you conclude that it is food, and proceed to drain the powdery package in one swift gulp. Immediatley regretting the decision your face twists involuntarily and you sputter out the repulsive powder in a coughing fit. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>Audrey starts giggling.<</if>>
As you recover, you open the second package, the font reads 'Freddo Frog,' although you are confused because the frogs you have seen don't usually fit into a tiny packet like this one. You open the object and give it a cautious lick. It tastes much better than the normal frogs you usually eat, or the 'Wizz Fizz' for that matter.<<if hasVisited("brd")>>You offer some to $pet, the bird sniffs and turns his head.<</if>>

After thinking entering an enclosed room in the park would prove a good place for salvage, you realise you are dead wrong. Wandering through what seemed like hours of strange mirrors and colours, managed to convince you that you were in fact, in another dimension. During your journey into the great unknown you continued to spot that shadowy figure darting about the mirrored halls. Was it following you? <<if hasVisited("aud")>>Audrey staggers out behind you, she takes a step forward but falls flat on her face. "Hold up $name, I ain't feelin' too good."<</if>>

<<set $health to $health -2>>Upon a quick scout of the park grounds, you find nothing of any particular interest besides rusty metal structures. One was named the 'Redback,' although you are not impressed, you have seen bigger redbacks than that with twice as many legs. Scanning further you find a tall swinging device and a large log tower. In the distance you see a giant ramp called a 'slide'.
You notice a poster of children tied to these metal contraptions, they scream in terror. You wonder if these are Pre-Crash torture devices.

Audrey gazes at the haunted steel structures in both wonder and revulsion. <</if>><<if not hasVisited("Spare the Shredder")>>You climb the steps to the strange front building and pass a menu stand hinting at the structure's former name 'The Pub.' The decking creaks noisily and you realise just how eerily silent it is. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>Audrey breaks the silence, "It's quiet...Too quiet." She chuckles nervously. "Hey, check the front door."<</if>>
Before your fingers can brush the front door, your senses are quieted by a sharp blow to the head.
[[Wake Up]]<</if>><<if hasVisited("Spare the Shredder")>>You follow the shadowy figure, "Oi, quit ya games. It's $name." You reach the front of The Pub and knock loudly on the door, "I've come to say hi."
The Fetor unlocks the door and beckons you inside, "Hey $name, long time no see! The Shredder will be real pleased you've come to visit."
You enter The Rig of your own free will this time. The Shredder approaches you, "I knew you'd come back to visit! And you're just in time, we've locked a scavenger down in one of the bar fridges. Come on, let's go deal with 'em." You sigh, at least you're not the one in the bar fridge this time.

Looking at the bustling exterior of the plaza it is clear to see all types of traders and customers haggling on the plaza's boardwalk. Each commencing their daily activities such as restocking, swapping and robbing just meters above highly irradiated water. You don't think you should stay for long.
"Oi, watch where ya goin' mate." A tough looking man with bloodshot eyes shoves you roughly. It seems you weren't looking where you were going and almost trod on his toes. "Get outta my way ya dingbat."

Upon entering the plaza you are confronted with an odd smell of rotting merchandise. A butcher sits nearby, carving up a kangaroo carcass with a rusty knife. He gives you a toothless grin, bleeding gums hint at recent radiation exposure.
You survey his stock splayed on a rickety table; various assortments of lizard meat, crow legs and skinned frogs decorate the counter. These foods often were the staples for the average Coast inhabitant.

Passing the butcher's booth, you spy an old lady reclining on the floor stringing some glass beads into a necklace. On her blanket lay various assortments of glass vases, porcelain animals and accessories. She raises a bejewelled finger in your direction, "Hey, you over there, you interested in some rare antiques? Good prices."

As you shift around in your cell, the residue of stale beer glues to your skin. Your captor, a man who smells like a bag of dead possums yells out: "Oi boss, <<he>> awake."
The 'boss' in question was a wiry woman sporting a wicked grin.

Although you did not succeed in breaking the glass, you managed to get the attention of a hulking figure as you are forcefully ripped out of your beer prision and dragged accross the room. "Oi, $name's awake." The other gang members gather around you, they scowl, clutching their weapons, "I see you've come back to visit us. Good. Now we get revenge on what you did to the Shredder!"

[[She deserved it and so do you!->dead]]<</if>>Upon entering the court you are greeted with a range of smells. Odours varied from boiling noodles, smoke from scattered cooking fires and something much more unpleasant which you guess is due to the court's proximity to the stagnant river. Various forms of people scatter around the tables chatting noisily. Few glance in your direction.
You find a many of the kitchens throughout the court still in use. You examine the vendors, their stores display signs emblazoned with: 'Ron's All You Can Eat Mystery Meat. Today's special: It's a Mystery!' and 'Chen Sophie Wu's Noodle Restaurant.'

[[Shop in the East Wing]] The food court seems to be the social hub of the Plaza. Due to the absence of electricity, cooking fires and other improvisations had been implemented. This introduced a suffocating aroma of smoke and unrefrigerated goods that permeated the humid air. A battery operated stereo leaked slow tunes into the heavy air. You see Ron from the Mystery Meat stand speedily preparing questionable carcasses, serving them on a row of metal trays lining the counter. A gaggle of hungry scavengers line along the bench, plates in hand. You thought you saw a toe protruding from one of the dishes.

The woman manning the front of the noodle place greets you with an enthusiastic smile. Judging by the radiation burns lacing her limbs and the weathered creases on her face, her age hinted she may have been alive before The Crash. Still, she sported bright blonde hair that wound down her back and a pleasant yellow outfit.
"Welcome to Chen Sophie Wu's Noodles! What can I get for you today <<he>>?"

[[I'd like some noodles]]<</if>><<if hasVisited("Leave the Plaza")>>Sophie eyes you, "Hey, it's you! Look, I know we had a few disagreements last time you saw me, but I realised what you said was true. Here try this." Sophie hands you a noodle bowl.
You eye it suspiciously, "This ain't gonna kill me right?"
"Just trust me."
You taste the noodles, they definitley taste much better than what they were like last time you were here. "Wow, what've you put in them now?"
"Filtered rain water! It's much more expensive but I've been getting so many customers, it's hard to keep up with the demand. So, thank you."
"Anytime Sophie, i'll catch ya later!"

"Well..." She brightens further at the opportunity to talk about herself. "My name's Sophie and I'm the proud owner of Chen Sophie Wu. I've been a local to these parts all my life, even before The Crash. I love your hair by the way, it's like, super cute. <<if hasVisited("brd")>>$pet looks at Sophie curiously, "aw, what a pretty bird, hey little guy!" She gives $pet a pat, he coos contentedly bobbing both his heads up and down. "Ooh I think it likes me!" This makes you slightly jealous.<</if>> Anyways, you look actually starving. Can I get ya something?"

Look, I get a lot of beggars 'round these parts but I hear a few shops around here may be hiring if you're lookin' for some cash. Also, I've heard there's still cash laying around the old zoo, but I wouldn't go there if I were you. Other than that I can't help ya sweetie. Now I gotta business to run. Come back when you have come money."

"Of course sweetie!" You fork over a few coins and Sophie disappears behind the counter. Several minutes later, she reappears holding a bowl of steaming noodles. You thank her and head for a table.
The noodles were served in a salty orange broth. They tasted great, despite a strange metallic taste in your mouth. Although you are satisfied with your purchase, you can't be too picky in a place like this.
However, as you are sitting at the table, the metallic taste in your mouth grows stronger and you find your gums suddenly bleeding. Overcome with shock and confusion you feel the sudden desire to vomit and you do so by rushing to the boardwark and hurling into the inky black river. <<if hasVisited("brd")>>Although you gave $pet some, it seems to have no effect on him.<</if>> <<if hasVisited("dav")>>Davo joins you, "Oi mate, you okay? What was in those bloody noodles, ah, my nose is bleedin'!" <</if>>
Sophie spots you marching angrily towards her with blood dripping down your chin, "No refunds!" She starts.

Approaching the plaza's food court you notice crudely painted signs hanging over the court entrance, they display a range of vendors as well as several menus.

[[Money huh?]]<</if>>The 'Rig' turns out to just be the upper level of The Pub. Several rough-looking men and women lounge around a battered stereo, you notice several plastic squares crudely labelled <em>Acca Dacca.</em> The thugs glance you over, grinning slyly before turning to their companions. You thought you heard one utter 'Fresh Meat.' <<if hasVisited("brd")>>$pet squawks with delight as it flies down from the ceiling rafters and is reunited with you.<</if>>
You are unceremoniously escorted to the 'boss' who is perched on an elevated bar chair. She wields a modified electric guitar. Metal blades and rusty nails crown the side of the guitar's body, the neck is fashioned into a handle and the head is tipped like a spear. It looks almost as formidable as its owner.
[[Talk to the boss]]

"Um...." You stammer, trying to find words least likely to get you killed.
"You're in The Shredder's territory, and I don't like visitors scrounging around MY park here."
"Look, I didn't realise anyone lived here!" You retort.
Her bloodshot eyes flash with anger. "You give me one reason not to feed you to my pet ants right now!" She inches closer as a sinister smile creeps upon her face. The Shredder pulls the wicked looking guitar onto her lap, you look around the room in desperation.
[[Uh...I like your guitar?]]
[[So...what music do you like?]]
The Shredder raises her eyebrows, and twirls around her weapon as if to examine it. "This bad boy here is The Axe." She exclaims quite proudly. You sigh in relief, thankful your head is still on your shoulders.
[[The Axe? So you play music?->So...what music do you like?]]The Shredder now seems to have relaxed, tamed by your charismatic responses. "I grew up in these parts." She begins, "The real name is Samara, although 'round here you gotta keep it tough. That's how ya get to the top, like me." She gestures proudly to the rest of her gang who are now tuning into your conversation, they give their leader a reverent nod. "I run The Rig with an iron fist. It's my way or the highway," she waves a scarred hand in the direction of the Bruce Highway. "Everyone pulls their own weight around here, we all rob, maim, and decapitate in the name of survival! If anyone has the guts to disagree with me, well." She twirls The Axe impressively in the air, the gang gives a roar of approval.
"So," she grins menacingly. "What's it gonna be $name?"

[[Run for your life!]]

An ant the size of a small dog trotted over for a pat. "Hey Jimmy!" She reaches down and gives the mutated bullant an affectionate pat. "Who's a good boy!" She croons.
"Ah yes, I love those things too." Although you have no idea what she is saying you are just glad you aren't between that ant's pincers.
She turns to you, "What's ya name?"
"It's $name." You reply.
"$name?" She giggles.
"What?"
"Oh, nothing."
You sit in silence as she pats her ant, it squeaks contently. <<if hasVisited("brd")>>"I see you've got a pet too, he wouldn't shut up when we locked you up in that bar fridge. Almost pecked someone's eye out too. I was gonna feed it to Jimmy but too bad that thing can fly."<</if>>
[[So Shredder, tell me about yourself]]
<img src="IMG/ant.jpg"/> Ignoring the Shredder's rules you bundle up your pack propped against the railings and bound down the stairs. <<if hasVisited("brd")>>$pet flies closely behind.<</if>> You grasp your cricket bat, although you know it will be no match for The Axe if the time comes. Upon reaching the doors, you find that they are locked. You try another set of doors, and another. You can hear several sets of footsteps thundering after you and by this time the gang is well on your heels. The Shredder starts cackling. "I told ya $name, you're mine now." She starts at a run towards you. The Axe swinging wildly above her head. You conclude that they probably never wanted you in their gang in the first place.
Escape does not seem to be an option. It looks like you have to fight your way out.

"Alrighty then." The Shredder swings The Axe over her shoulder and addresses her gang. "Listen up mates, it looks like we got a newbie here so feel free to show <<he>> the ropes. Or at least play nice." She proceeds to retreat to her bar chair throne. "So $name, have a look around, introduce yourself, they don't bite too much." she calls over her shoulder.
You glance around, Shredder's gang give you a hard stare before returning to their activities. You should now probably introduce yourself.

He now seems to be quite irritated by your presence, "Most folks 'round 'ere just call me The Fetor." He verifies his nickname by proceeding to flatulate. "Look <<he>>, I ain't lookin' to get chummy with the likes of you, so shove off will ya."
Getting the message you decide to try someone else.

"Attached? What?" You are quite confused.
"This place aint for you <<he>>, never will be. You ain't Shredder material."
"But Shredder told me I could..." You are cut off by a man who bears likeness to a rat.
"You think you're family with us now or somethin'? Nah, get outta here or i'll save Shredder the time.
"Leave while you can <<she>>, though, it's a bit late now." The scraggly man chuckles.
Feeling terrified, you retreat from the group.

<img src="IMG/group.jpg"/> The girl sits closest to the boss, strumming on a large guitar with four strings. She has a matted bob with a blunt fringe and appears to be intently focused playing on a single string over and over again.
The Shredder calls to the frustrated bassist from her throne. "Nah, that's not how you slap properly, you gotta really mute it with your fretting hand. Come on girl, you've had that damn bass for 30 years."
You approach the girl, "Hi I'm $name, I think you're doing a great job."
"Oh, thanks." She hardly seems to notice you as she aggressivley smacks her instrument.
"So, what do you do around here?" You attempt to hold the conversation.
"Listen uh, $name, I really don't have time right now. We've got the gang's jam night tomorrow and I haven't even learnt the chorus to this song yet."
"Oh, alrighty then." You turn awkwardly away and attempt to talk to someone else. <<if hasVisited("brd")>>She eyes the cockatoo on your shoulder."Hey, cute bird though."<</if>>

"Oi, where ya think you're goin?" The Fetor bellows from his bar stool.
"Um, I'm going downstairs, whats wrong with that huh?" You retort, confused about your sudden lack of freedom.
"No one leaves The Rig unless I say so." The Shredder has now risen from her throne, The Axe in hand. "And you, $name, are going nowhere until I know what you're all about."
"Are you serious!" You burst at its absurdity. "You tryna say I'm not allowed to leave. At all?" You shudder at the thought of being locked back up in the fridge.
The scraggily man at the stereo whispers to his companions: "Told ya so."
"You're MINE now buddy, in MY gang with MY rules, mate, this is MY house!" The evil look in The Shredder's eye has returned. "And I think I've explained well enough what happens if you don't agree with me, don't ya think?" She steadily advances towards you, a wicked smile has gripped her lips. Due to your most recent act of insubordination, she seems to have escaped all power of reasoning. Regrettably, you wished you realised how crazy she was much sooner.
The girl with the bass gives a loud sigh. "Here we go again."

"Oh, so you're one of them Jade followers. Well I don't see any reason why I shouldn't let you in, as long as you surrender your weapons. So you know, you don't go around bashing any unbelievers. We're a peaceful community that allows many different faiths. As long as they praise our king." <</if>>

You stand your ground and swing your bat up. The Shredder charges, her gang stands back, looking on. Scavenger excecution was probably a daily ritual for this bunch. The Axe crashes mere millimeters from your neck as you dive out of the Shredder's path. She attempts to retrieve the guitar wedged in the floorboards, buying you a few seconds for a counterattack. You swing your cricket bat at her but she is too fast, The Axe meets your bat and sends it skidding across the room. She tugs at her weapon sunken in the floorboards once again. Now unarmed, you decide your only option is to wrestle her to the ground.
The surrounding gang whistles with excitement as the two of you are locked in a tackle. The Axe remains wedged in the floor as the Shredder is caught by surprise. You sweep your foot under her and she loses her balance, crumpling to the ground. Before she can react, you prise The Axe from the floorboards and stand over her, the guitar is raised above your head, ready to strike.
"No. Please!" She sputters, "I gotta family here, you can't do this!" The gang members are frozen in fear and anticipation.

Clearly outnumbered this time, you use The Axe to bat away the scraggily man and smash a window. The gang cheers, you have earned your place into the group. However, still completely terrified, you politely decline. The Shredder unlocks one of the doors letting you free.
"Come jam with us anytime, okay?"
You nod and head for the highway.

[[Ride along the highway]] That probably could have gone better, you think as you race down the Bruce highway. Your heart is still thumping in your ears as you feel the back of your neck, as if to check your head is still there.

[[Enter the Ginger Factory]]The interior of the Ginger Factory is rather well-maintained. You eye workers sweeping the concrete and painting walls. It appears to have been converted into a small town and a rather nice one indeed. Dainty cottages scatter throughout the tourist area and a large welcome centre dominates the front entrance. You also notice a strange building in the form of a boat in the distance. Finding a map of the grounds you note a few places of interest:

"Antiques, child. Ancient artefacts, rich with history and time. Yours for a special price." Carli grabs your hand, dragging you to closer to her. "How about this one? "It's very pretty." She seems to have sucked you in.
"And this one," she holds a porcelain cat to your face, you accept it.

"What? I got no idea what you're taking about. Listen, I gotta store to run here and people to feed. I think you best be on your way." She turns on her heels and retreats to the counter before you can utter another word.
You return to your table and observe Sophie closely. You are getting to the bottom of this.

Sophie buzzes about during the lunch hour. You wipe the blood from your chin, examining her every move.
Several minutes later a man rushes by, he reaches the boardwalk railings a few meters from you and hurls over into the slimy abyss.
"Must've been that meat again." He mutters as he saunters back to his table.

Once in the kitchen you hastily look for anything which might suggest bleeding gums.
A woman with brown hair calls out to you from the front of the shop. "Excuse me <<he>>, I'm looking for my cousin, you seen Sophie?"
'Um... no. I mean yeah, she's just stepped out for a second, I'm ah, filling in. I'll let you know when she comes back." You hope this manages to convince her to leave.
"Oh alright then, I'll try again later." Thankfully, she leaves.
You continue sifting through the packets of instant noodles and decide to investigate the large pot boiling on a fire. Upon lifting the lid, a hiss of steam escapes and stings your eyes. You reel back in pain and sense the familiar metallic sensation in your mouth. Summoning the courage to take a closer look, you discover the boiling water has the same souless texture as the Maroochy River. <<if hasVisited("brd")>>$pet dry retches and ruffles his feathers, clearly disgusted at your discovery.<</if>> <<if hasVisited("aud")>>Audrey examines the pot. "Oh man, I had ideas of what may be in those noodles, I wasn't expecting that! She is SO busted!"<</if>>

You follow her through a few buildings to a back area of the boardwalk. The scenery stretched itself over the wide river leading out to the ocean, skeleton trees on the opposite side shroud themselves in a deep haze of fumes.
Sophie stops and glances over her shoulder.
You duck back into the shadows and thankfully, are not seen. Sophie lowers her bucket into the putrid sludge and soon fishes it back out with the piece of rope. Satisfied with her gains, she turns back to the food court, bucket in hand.
You race back to the court before she spots you.

As Sophie returns, she sets a plastic bucket on the floor and returns to work. She checks a pot boiling on the fire and proceeds to salt the mixture.

[[Confront Sophie quietly]]"HEY!" You yell at the top of your lungs. The chatter quiets. Ron, a smile creeping on his face, folds his arms ready to watch the show. Sophie glares at you, her features twist into a snarl. "Has anyone um, been feelin' sick recently?" You address the court, a few people nod their heads. You continue, "Anyone know why?" Some point to Ron, others point to the river, some point to each other.
"You know that just normal here right?" A man close to you mutters.
"You're wrong!" You point an accusing finger at Sophie. "This woman here, is using the Maroochy river for your noodle bowls. You're not gettin' food poisioning, it's radiation poisioning!" To illustrate your point, you dart behind the noodle counter, Sophie shrieks in protest as you send the plastic buckets filled with vile irradiated liquid spilling onto the court's floors.
Somebody gasps with shock. A man with blood running down his chin starts cursing angrily. Ron chuckles to himself, business will be good for him.
Sophie turns red with a mix of embarrassment and anger. <<if hasVisited("dav")>>"I think we've pushed her a little too much." Davo remarks.<</if>>
"What have you got to say for yourself?" You demand.
Sophie lets fly with a bloodcurdling scream and launches herself at you. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>"$name, look out! Audrey shrieks.<</if>>

"Can we have a word Sophie? In um, private?" You gesture to the kitchen.
"I suppose so." She eyes you suspiciously, "Don't try anything."
Sophie leads you to the kitchen and motions you to sit down.
"Tea?"
"Yeah no. Thanks."
"Is this about your mouth?" She asks nervously.
"Well, yes." You gesture to the plastic buckets around the kitchen. "I know you use the river's water to make your noodles. Can't you see you're poisoning your customers?"
She shrugs hopelessly. "Do you know how expensive clean water is? I have to make hundreds of noodle bowls every week! I barely make enough as it is. But I do boil the water you know, if that helps." She gestures to the boiling pot.
"That irradiated sludge is past boiling Sophie. Look, I can't just stand by watching you poison people. If you don't change your recipe right now I'm exposing you to the whole plaza."
"NO!" She shrieks in a panic. Her charming manner transforms into a blind rage. "Noodles is my DREAM! I need this water, and I'm not giving up on my dream just because YOU told me I'm hurting people! Can't you see how popular I am? So the answer is NO. Now how about you get outta MY kitchen while you still can." She lifts a bucket of toxic water and threatens you with it. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>"Whoa Sophie, we're only tryin' to help you." Audrey eyes Sophie warily.<</if>>
You raise your hands defence, "Okay I get it. Put that bucket down!"
She lowers the plastic bucket and walks away, "And don't you breathe a word about this."

Before you realise what is happening, Sophie has tackled you to the ground, her long nails scratching at your face. "You. Ruined. Everything!" She yells in between swipes. "My dream restauraunt!" You attempt to shield yourself from her frenzy. "I boiled the water. I did everything right!" The rest of the food court looks on as the two of you scramble on the tiles, stagnant water from the spilled buckets leech into your clothing.
"Boiling dosen't remove the sludge from that river Sophie!" You shriek in a panic.
Your words are lost to Sophie who continues to scream "You ruined everything" repeatedly while clawing at you. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>Audrey attempts to interfere but she is batted aside by razor-sharp nails.<</if>>
You swing your arms around Sophie and yank on her hair, she squeals in pain and reels back. This buys you enough time to crawl out from under her and stagger to your feet. Sophie crumples to the floor, collapsing in the puddle of radioactive water, she sobs loudly. You brandish your cricket bat, waving it close to her face. You almost feel sorry for her.

You lower your cricket bat. Sophie lets out a shaky sigh of relief. You grab the front of her shirt and pull her to her feet. She avoids your eyes.
"Alright, enough injuries for today, everyone back to work." Ron glances at you and Sophie before returning to piling meat into the metal trays.
"I'm real sorry." Sophie whimpers.
You ignore her and turn away.
"I'll fix it, i'll try."
"You better." You eye her over your shoulder. "Or i'll be back."

[[Leave the Plaza]] You decide this is not your fight, or your problem. You glance at the tables filled with hungry customers and conclude that it's best to just leave the place alone. You spit onto the tiles, the red glob shines brightly. Sighing, you exit the centre. Next time, you will be more careful.

"Hey Audrey, sometimes you just gotta leave things alone, it gets you into less trouble that way." Audrey looks defeated, she eyes you pensively.<</if>>
You decide to call it a day. Exiting the Plaza you give one last glance at toxic river, shuddering in revulsion.
Beyond the river lies the ocean, you can hear the distant roar of the crashing waves. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>Audrey pipes up, "Hey, I know we kinda had our differences back there, but now that's over, is it okay if I tag along with you. Only until I get sick of you of course."
"Sure," you reply. "I could use a friend."<</if>>

You follow the river down to the surf, it leeches a black stain into the saltwater. The wind whips at your hair and the sky is a deep red. Walks on the beach are always quite serene, as long as you watch for the sharks prowling on the sand.
<<if hasVisited("aud")>>"Yo, what is that guy doing!" Audrey points to the water. <</if>>To your disbelief, you see a man among the thrashing waves. He appears to be standing on a board, riding the water. It looked quite fun, although you are confused because contact with large bodies of water often ends with death, especially water that is saturated with the Maroochy river.
[[Approach the surfer]]"Hey! What are you doing?" You yell across the waves. The man notices you and swims ashore to greet you. Upon a closer examination of this man you notice he is quite old. Heavy radiation burns decorate the surfer's body, his sun-bleached hair is falling out in patches.
"I'm just catching some <em>niiice</em> waves. They're just perfect here man! Oh yeah, I'm Mick by the way." He grins, you notice few teeth.
"Isn't that dangerous though?" You can't help but ask that question.
"Yeah of course it is! But the waves are my life! You just gotta surf 'em ya know! I'm out here all day, everyday. I'm livin'!" <<if hasVisited("dav")>>Davo chimes in, "Yeah! You go mate, live ya best life!"<</if>>
"Oh, ok. I'll let you get back to it then." You are concerned for his safety but you have your own problems.
"Cool dude, catch ya later then!" He jogs back to the surf and disappears into the waves. You watch as a nearby shark launches itself at the surfer, jaws ready to devour its prey. Mick bats it aside and proceeds to catch the next wave. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>Audrey stands speechless.<</if>>
You shrug and leave the beach.

"You here for the boat ride? We got a few spots left this morning."
"Um, yeah, is this a ride?"
"Well, not exactly but it used to be, now it's more like a history lesson." He chuckles, "Guess you're gonna have to go see for yourself."
"Sure count me in."
You step into a dark room with a stream of water flowing through, several small boats are parked on the water. The man ushers you to a seat among other people already on the raft.
"I come here every morning. It reminds me how lucky I am to live in such a great town!" The man beside you mentions proudly.
"Okay then," you are unsure what to expect out of this ride.
"The boat's leaving, keep your hands and feet within the vessel at all times." The attendant waves you off.

"Wow, this place is really nice, what do you have?" You admire the neatness of the place, you doubt to have ever seen something this orderly.

You see piles of tea boxes, wine bottles and stuffed toys arranged precisely upon the shelving.

You are stopped by a guard at the entrance of the gift shop.
"State your business."
"Um, what is this place?" You ask.
"The Welcome Centre, gift shop and headquarters for the king and queen of the Ginger Factory region."
"The king and queen huh? Can I say hi?" You are excited at the thought of meeting someone of royalty.
"You can only meet our leaders if you request an appointment or are summoned." She eyes you under her shades.
[[Request appointment]]
[[Leave->Enter the Ginger Factory]] "Well, can I request an appointment then?"
"Go inside, turn left and chat to the secretary." She opens the doors for you.
You enter a small corridor, turning left, you find the secretary's desk.
"Hi, i'd like to request an appointment to see the king and queen."
"State your name and purpose."
"I'm $name. Um, I just wanna say hi. I'm new around here."
"Ok." She says. and begins flipping through a notepad. "Is now alright? It's their morning tea time and they'd love the company."
"Sure, sounds great." Although you are slightly confused.
"Go straight through the large doors there." She returns to her work.
You are ushered by a pair of guards to the Throne Room. You are slightly cautious, that was quite easy, considering they are the revered leaders of this place.
[[Enter the Throne Room]]
You enter a large space which appears to be the main section of the gift shop. Numerous forms of gingerbread themed memorabillia were used to furnish the room. On the other side of the room reclined an elderly couple sipping tea. You guess they are the leaders of this place.
"Hi. Your majesties." You are unsure how to act around royalty.
"Hello dear." The queen spoke first. "Could you be a darl and grab my walking stick."
You see the stick propped against a cabinet and retrieve it for the aged lady. "Here you go, your highness."
"Call me grandma."
You like the sound of that, although you have never had a grandparent.
"And that's grandad." She gestures to her companion, you notice he is sitting in a chair unlike anything you have seen before. Large tyres adorned the sides of the chair and the rear sported a cannon that looked quite intimidating.
"Hey LIIIISA! Can you get me a few of those ginger bread things while you're up?" He calls from his chair.
"You've had too many Nigel, we're supposed to be on diets you know!"
She brings him one anyway.
Grandma turns back to you. "We don't get many newcomers around here. So it's always nice to have a chat. Coffee?"
You dont know what Coffee is but you accept the heated liquid anyway.

You sit down on one of the faded couches, sipping your coffee.
Grandma stares off into the distance, as if trying to jog her memory. "This was a tourist attraction and a ginger factory. Over the road is a macadamia factory and near that is a coffee roasters. Nigel and I were the only ones smart enough to secure this place after The Crash. Others robbed banks, holed up in supermarkets, ran off to the forest, but we built a stronghold in the Ginger Factory. Soon, others joined us, and as the decades went on, we managed to build this lovely little community."
"So is that why everyone calls you king and queen?" You conclude.
Grandad chimes in, "Yes, they're crazy about us. People 'round here need leaders so they don't have to think for themselves, always do. So we rule them with ginger, coffee and macadamias. It's their source of food, their currency, their life. They are completley dependent on my power, because I am king and what I say goes."
Grandad continues, "That's why we need your help. You see, no one usually gets to speak with us royalty so easily, but when I heard of a new face around here with the potential to carry out a very delicate mission, I put in a special request."
"Oh ok then, so what do you need?"
"We need someone to do our dirty work, we're a bit frail nowadays. You see, there's been a few dissenters, mutineers who think they can question my rule and get away with it. Word has it they're holed up near the old train tracks and are planning a revolution, if you can make the leader of that bunch <em>disappear</em> I will pay handsomely."

Breathing a sigh of relief, you relax, but keep your eyes peeled. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>Audrey eyes the statues with discomfort. "I am so glad they aren't real, they're huge!"<</if>>
A colourful lizard saunters past you, its claws clatter on the concrete as it eyes you suspiciously. It was about the size of a small car. <<if hasVisited("dav")>>"Nah, these blokes are tiny compared to the things you see at Aussie World. Once I met a rat twice the size of me! It tasted heaps good." Davo chuckles to himself.<</if>>
In the distance you can hear a child screaming.

You run to the source of the noise and find a child surrounded by hungry crocodiles.
She screams with delight and throws another piece of meat into the air.

"Hey! You scared them off."
The child addressing you looks no more than 10 years old, She sports a bob and is dressed in zoo khakis. The kid stands with her hands on her hips.
"Who are you?" She demands.
"Um, I'm $name. Are you alright out here by yourself?" You are confused by her apparent relaxedness being surrounded by hungry reptiles.
"Of course I am silly! I've been living here for the past 30 years."
You are taken aback by her response. "30 years?" you ask incredulously.
"Yeah yeah, I know I don't look the part. It's because I take my vitamins everyday," she jokes.
You stare at her, unable to comprehend. "What?"
She sighs. "I would explain it, but I don't think scrappy scavengers like you possess the comprehensive ability of a Pre-Crash citizen like me."
"Try me. I can understand words kid."
She looks irritated. "Well, let me introduce myself then shall I. My names is Bunny, and I'm from before The Crash. You see, During The Crash me and a few others were exposed to a lethal overdose of radiation. I was with my cousin at the time, Isla. Her and I were spared the painful and inevitable death of radiation poisoning and were frozen in time. I should be about, lets see, 42 years old by now."
"Ok then," you can hardly believe her.
"Hear me out though. My theory for this phenomenon, or freak accident as I prefer to call it, is because telomeres are one of the main culprits for aging. Each time a cell divides, these telomeres shorten, causing age. But you see, exposure to radiation causes cellular and DNA degradation. Similarly, Telomeres are also involved with both the DNA structure and cells. I haven't found out how, but I theorise the strange dose of radiation we received altered our DNA and cellular structure, almost in reverse to what radiation usually does, and it somehow froze the aging process of the telomeres. Therefore, I do not age!"
You blink. You couldn't understand that part.
"See, I knew I was wasting my breath. It was way beyond your comprehension anyway." You wonder if this Bunny kid ever shuts up.
"So," she continues talking again. "You wanna come hangout with us? I gotta show Isla what kind of mangy scavenger I've brought in this time. If you behave, we might even give you a show."

You pass a pair of tigers lounging on a grassy field, they regard you with sleepy eyes. Far in the distance, you spot a python dissolving a rather unfortunate kangaroo. Meerkats dart between tables in a nearby cafeteria.
Bunny leads you to a large building named the Croc Hunter Museum. The exhibits on the upper floor had been cleared out and replaced with scavenged furniture. It looked quite homely. On the far side of the room a young girl with blonde hair surveys the window with a pair of binoculars, a mangy koala is wrapped around her shoulders, chewing idly at a handful of dry leaves. You assume this girl is the Isla that Bunny had mentioned.
"Hey I'm back, and I've brought us a new friend." Bunny gestures to you, "This is $name, I've already told them all about us." Isla did not look surprised.
Isla looks you over. "So, how'd you end up at our zoo?"
"I was looking for an adventure."
Grinning, Isla turns her companion. "So, are we gonna entertain our guest Bunny?"
"It's about time, let's start the show!"
Bunny and Isla beckon you to follow them back downstairs.

You polietly decline her invitation. She gives you a hard stare.

You turn to examine the park grounds.
"And $name." Bunny forces you to face her again. "Stay out of the animal hospital. Or else." She claps her hands together to resemble the jaws of a crocodile.
Upon saying that, she turns on her heels and strolls away.
The air is quiet and you can finally hear yourself think again.

They lead you to a balcony overlooking a large arena, below the rings of plastic chairs is an expanse of yellow grass and a muddy pool that forms the base of the arena. The girls leave you standing on the balcony and they disappear.
"I guess i'll just stay here then." You mutter to yourself.
Minutes later, you see Bunny and Isla standing on the dry grass below you. Both girls are holding a megaphone.
"Ladies and animals." Isla's voice resonates across the arena, "welcome to the Crocoseum!"
As you rest your hands on the railings you feel the arena shaking with tiny tremors.
As if summoned, the most monsterous crocodile you have ever seen bursts through the arena's gates and hisses at its surroundings. The girls raise their hands to calm the creature, although they now look like a mere speck compared to this dinosaur. Its tail swishes back and forth, knocking over plastic chairs on the lower levels, you are glad they put you on the balcony. The leviathan's black scaly skin shone silver in the sunlight, its orange eyes meet with yours, you hope the croc has been fed.
Isla continues. "This cutie right here is Mr. Cuddles. He is over 50 meters long and weighs just under nine tons. He is growing up so fast, only 10 years old!"
"Crocodile DNA was exposed to large doses of radiation, then cloned and spliced several times to achieve this living weapon of mass destruction!" Bunny seemed way too enthusiastic about the destruction part.

Audrey reels back, visibly shaking.<</if>> You don't know whether to cheer or scream. <<if hasVisited("dav")>>Davo on the otherhand looks to be quite impressed with the girl's creation. "Did you say something about mass destruction?" That's all you can think about now.
"Um, yeah of course we did. Why else would we genetically mutate crocodiles. Duh!" Bunny is getting on your nerves again.

"Well then, what are you destroying?"
"The Sunshine Coast!" Bunny starts cackling.
"What!" You feel a wave of fear ascend your spine. After seeing the girls' little pet project you know that they are capable of such a feat.
This time Isla speaks. "Look around you $name, this world is already destroyed. We know you wouldn't know any different, but we do. This world is merely a shell of what it once was. We aren't gonna destroy the Coast, we're gonna reform it, bring it back to its former glory with us at the helm!"
The girls seem to be pining for the good old days in a very twisted way.
"Oh, don't worry $name, it's for the greater good we can assure you. With our crocodiles, no sleezy scavenger will step out of line ever again. With lawless thugs out of the picture, we can finally focus our resources on rebuilding the Coast to the way it once was." Bunny continues, "Isla and I are just perfect for this job, you see, we are immortal, and will be the eternal rulers of the Sunshine Coast!"

The thought of living under the rule of two maniacal kids was too painful to bear. You had to do something.
"Well girls, you two have fun with taking over the world. Do you mind if I explore the park for some good salvage?" You hope they let you poke around.
"Yeah sure, whatever. Damn scavengers, they only care about one thing." Isla mutters to herself.
"You can poke around any pile of trash you want, but stay out of the animal hospital. Or else." Bunny gives you a final warning before the girls leave you standing on the balcony.
[[Leave the girls->Explore the grounds]] You explore the zoo, careful not to become one of the exhibit's lunches. The doors to every enclosure lay open and the animals seem to come and go whenever they pleased. They appear to co-exist quite well as you spot a group of lemurs toying with a pair of wombats. You may think Bunny and Isla are crazy maniacs but they sure look after the animals well, despite only the two of them running the entire zoo.

Your eyes drift to the animal hospital. The girls definitley did not want you in that hospital, but if there was any way to stop them and their monstrous crocodile, it would be there.

[[Travel to the Animal Hospital]]
The hospital is quite a long walk from the main zoo. You cross a large parking lot, glimpsing more crocs lazing around on the concrete. <<if hasVisited("brd")>>$pet eyes the crocs, you can feel him shiver against you.<</if>>
Upon reaching the main entrance of the forbidden medical centre, you wonder why the girls were so specific about keeping you out of here. It looks like you are about to find out.

<<if hasVisited("dav")>>Davo reaches the doors to the hospital. "Look as us goin' against the rules! Yeah, live fast and die young between the choppers of a croc!"
"Shhh! Keep it down Davo, if they hear us around here we'll be fed to a croc much sooner than you think."<</if>>
Despite Bunny's threats you pass through the double doors of the hospital.
You find yourself in a guest area with operating tables shown through neighbouring windows. It is surprisingly open and you feel quite venerable. You hope the girls don't see you.
Moving into the staff area you enter smaller hospital rooms, each one is filled with an array of medical equipment still in pristine condition.
Passing these you find a few doors leading to various branches of the centre:

[[Laboratory]]The intensive care room featured several operating tables, holding cages and medical equipment. You hear a girl's voice in the far room, with a jolt of fear you recognize Bunny's voice.
"Hey hold still," Bunny exclaims, "just one more bandage then I'm done."
The animal hissed with protest. You flatten yourself against a wall. <<if hasVisited("brd")>>"Don't you dare make a noise $pet." You whisper.<</if>>
"There. See, that wasn't so hard now was it?" You could see her through a glass window connecting the operating room to the main section. A monstrous python lay curled up on the steel table. "No more radiation burns for you. I've told you time and time again to stay out of the water, you're moving to the safari zone." The python sighed, tongue flickering. One side of its face sported severe radiation damage, the other was plastered with a bandage. "Now go on." She opens a nearby door and waves the reptile out. "I need to perfect the genetic strain of my flying Komodo Dragons. The code keeps skewing to produce two heads instead of wings."
Bunny exits the room and heads your way. You duck into the shadows and hold your breath.
Bunny suddenly stops meters away from you as the radio on her hip bursts into life.
"Hey Bunny, Mr. Cuddles is complaining of tummy problems again. He's not eating the alpacas we're giving him. Over."
She responds to her radio. "Yeah yeah, I'll be there when I can. Over."
Thankfully, she does not see you as she exits the room. "I should have bulletproofed their insides too." She mutters.
After a quick scan of the room you exit. <<if hasVisited("dav")>>"Flying lizards, like them ones in the movies? Oh man, that's so cool!" Davo whispers.<</if>>
[[Exit intensive care->Enter the animal hospital]]
You enter double doors marked 'Holding Facilities' and find yourself in a large shed filled with an array of habitats and cages. You see Isla, a resplendent parrot sits quietly on her shoulder. You duck behind a large crate of animal pellets and observe the girl.
"How's my favorite emu doing?" She saunters over to a fence with a giant bird waiting eagerly behind it, it towers over her as she feeds it a hunk of meat. "Watch the teeth girl, I see you've got a few more coming up, you're worrying me enough about your eating habits." The emu gobbles up the fleshy morsel.
Isla moves to the next bay, it was a large cage. "How are you feeling buddy? I see you're recovering nicely from your latest gamma extension." She produces a large monitor lizard and heaves it through a hatch into the cage. The cage's inhabitant, a huntsman spider, gobbles up the offering. The arachnid looked to be bigger than the cage itself. "Don't worry buddy, just a couple more tests and you'll be out in a few weeks." You shudder at the thought of that thing roaming the streets.
A loud hissing noise rattles through the shed, its inhabitants squawk in response. "Hey! Keep it down Mr. Cuddles. I'm coming okay." Isla dismisses the parrot from her shoulder. "Looks like the alpacas aren't enough. We gotta hit the Coast soon or he's gonna die of starvation. Why did Bunny have to program that thing with a taste for human flesh? Honestly."
Isla rushes out of the shed to tend to the whining dinosaur. <<if hasVisited("dav")>>Davo pipes up, "Oh man did you see the size of that spider? That's bigger than them redbacks near Aussie World. I wonder if you can ride them, can you imagine!"<</if>>
[[Exit the recovery centre->Enter the animal hospital]]
You enter a bleached room, this room must have a generator as the overhead lights shone brightly and there was a distant hum within the walls.
Staying low and slow you can hear movement on the other side of the labs. Around you are large jars filled with strange specimens of animals you have never seen before. The jars are fitted with labels, you study one: 'Iguana. Experiment 1029. Failed.' You examine the jar, the lizard lay suspended in a yellow liquid. It has six legs and a curious growth protruding from its back. Shivering, you turn your attention to the rows shelves stocked with hundreds of these jars.
You hear the girls arguing across the lab. "Mr. Cuddles is growing extremely restless. We have enough animals Isla, we need to make a move on the Coast now before our army eats each other."
"But we don't even have a solid plan of attack yet. You even said yourself the genetic codes had not been perfected, some of our animals are falling apart on the inside." Isla retorts.
"I know, but we still have the Frenzy serum. That is our plan of attack." Bunny indicates to a refrigerated safe. "Once injected, an animal's usual behavior is overridden by a blind rage. However, one unfortunate side effect to this serum is death, so we must use it wisely."
"I know how it works."
"Just checking. Anyways, I'm gonna head over Mr. Cuddles, I can feel the ground shaking again. We should have fed him that scavenger."
"I'll be in the aviary if you need me."
The girls exit the lab.
You are left alone to explore the lab, upon hearing the girls, you realise your time to stop them is limited. The fate of the Coast lies in your hands.

You decide you find the object Bunny called the Frenzy serum. You remember she referred to the large fridge on the far side of the lab.
You cautiously make your way to the fridge. You try the handle but it's locked with a four-digit code. Great.

Davo gives the jar a shake, "oh wait, that's not a snowglobe.<</if>>
You also find a few loose coins floating around on the tables, you pocket them, but note that they are a $2,$2,$1 and $1, just in case they mean something. But in what order? Your head hurts.

You decide to confront the girls and convince them to leave The Coast alone, one way or another.

You retrieve the Frenzy serum from the safe. The liquid in the glass vial has a deep green hue. If Bunny was correct, the serum should frenzy an animal into an indiscriminate killing machine.
[[Tamper with Mr. Cuddles]]You exit the lab, careful not to be spotted by the girls and make your way to the reptile enclosures. The glass exhibits are empty, various assortments of snakes, lizards, and crocs wander freely about the grounds soaking up the sunshine on the warm concrete. <<if hasVisited("brd")>>$pet nestles closer to your shoulder, eyeing the reptiles with caution.<</if>>
Careful not to be someone's lunch, you look for an enclosure where the giant beast is housed. You sense the ground trembling beneath your feet. The croc was close.
[[Find the crocodile]]You find the monsterous Mr. Cuddles in a vast saltwater lake behind the Crocoseum. Due to the size of the croc, the lake looked like a bathtub in comparison to its inhabitant. Thankfully, Bunny was nowhere to be seen.
In a food storage shed near the lake, you retrieve several large pieces of meat and a carving knife. Using the knife you cut into the meat and place the vial of Frenzy serum within the lump of flesh. Upon exiting the shed, you now see Bunny and Isla congregating near Mr. Cuddles. The croc hisses as the girls try to console him.
You can hear Isla's voice. "His tummy aches are getting worse. Do you think he's just really hungry?"
"Nonsense." Bunny answers. "We've already fed him six goats, thirteen chickens, and ten alpacas. That's just from today. Which is insane mind you because the average crocodile eats only 50 full meals a year, some crocs can go full years without eating. I hypothesise Mr. Cuddles' heavily modified genetic code is disrupting his internal organs, causing some disturbance over his bodily processes." Bunny continues, "Which admittedly may be my fault. I think I went for fashion over function on this one."
"Well, we better start on the Coast before our main asset dies on us. Then we'll have to return to your winged lizard idea."
You hold the Frenzy infected meat in your hand. If Mr. Cuddles was to frenzy now he would surely gobble up the girls.
[[Unleash the Frenzy now]]
[[Wait until the girls have gone]]"Hey Mr. Cuddles!" You yell out from across the lake. The monstrous reptile glances in your direction, so do the girls, looking confused. "It's lunch time!" You hurl the lump of meat into the air. Within seconds the croc darts across the lake and snaps up the tasty morsel.
"What are you doing?" Bunny screams from the other side of the lake. "It's not feeding time!"
Mr. Cuddles hisses and groans sending tidal waves across the lake. You turn and run.
"No, No! It's the Frenzy!" Isla shrieks.
The crocodile thrashes violently about the lake. You can barely see the commotion through the white spray dancing about the air. The girls can't be seen amongst the chaos and you don't slow down to check.
[[Run!]]
You wait several minutes until the girls have left the lake. You spare them from the jaws of their creation but you hope they learn their lesson.
"Hey Mr. Cuddles!" You yell out from across the lake. The monstrous reptile glances in your direction, "Hungry? You big lizard!" You hurl the lump of meat into the air and dart away before he can consider you food as well. Within seconds, the croc bounds across the lake and snaps up the tasty morsel.
A few moments later, Mr. Cuddles hisses and groans sending tidal waves across the lake. He begins to frenzy.

The ground trembles underneath your feet as you bolt through the zoo. The surrounding animals squawk with fear, as you reach the exit you can hear Mr. Cuddles tearing through everything in his path. You don't know if the girls are still alive. If they are, you hope they have learned their lesson not to mess with the Sunshine Coast.
The Coast has not yet seen the fury of a hysterical two-storey tall lizard. Hopefully, it never will.
[[Return to the map->Look at locations]] You decide to deal with the brains of the operation first. That brat Bunny.
She mentioned back at the lab she was going to check on Mr. Cuddles so you investigate the reptile sector first.
Exiting the lab, you are careful not to be spotted by the girls and make your way to the reptile enclosures. The glass enclosures are empty. Various assortments of snakes, lizards, turtles and crocs wander freely about the grounds, soaking up the sunshine on the warm concrete.
Careful not to be someone's lunch, you look for an enclosure where the giant beast may be housed in. The ground trembles beneath your feet. The croc was close.

You decide to find Isla, maybe she will be easier to convince than Bunny. From their conversation at the lab, you overheard that Isla would have headed to the aviary.
[[Enter the aviary]]You find the monsterous Mr. Cuddles in a vast saltwater lake behind the Crocoseum. Due to the size of the croc, the lake looks like a bathtub in comparison to its inhabitant. Bunny was nowhere to be seen.
Mr. Cuddles lay lounging in the lake, hissing to himself, the reptile appears to be quite restless and you are careful not to attract his attention.
Looks like you were too late, Bunny has disappeared.

The first aid room has been stripped bare, animal nests lay in the corners, the smell of the creatures was almost overpowering. All the supplies looked to have been moved to the animal hospital and piles of rubbish decorated the nests. Bunny was not here.
[[Search elsewhere->Find Mr. Cuddles]] You head for their headquarters in the Croc Hunter Museum, and start for the stairs. You can hear someone muttering to themselves and recognise Bunny's voice.
Bunny sits hunched at a desk with her back to you, she scribbles frantically at a notepad filled with codes and symbols. She notices you and spins around, there is a crazed look in her eye that is quite unsettling to you, the stress of planning for world domination has finally crept into her youthful facade.
"Oh, it's you. Can't you see I'm busy here? Go bother someone else."

[[Convince with words]]You search the information office, the decrepit furniture has become a breeding ground for the curious groups of animals inhabiting the booths. "I'm only gonna say this once Bunny, if you think I'm gonna stand and watch as you unleash your killer crocs onto the Coast you're DEAD wrong. Your sick experiments have no place in my home! Stop this before it's too late, or i'll make you stop." You press the cricket bat closer to her face, the nails press against her skin.
"What do you want? Money? Salvage? Or a front seat as you watch the world burn?" She hisses, a crazed smile gnawing at her lips.

[[Don't try to bribe me! You need to end this right now!]]You march up to Bunny. She swings her chair around to face her intruder, you decide to holster your cricket bat and attempt to end this confrontation without bloodshed.
"Hey what do you think you're doing? Were you invited to come here? No!" Bunny turns to stand but you have cornered her against the desk. She squirms in her chair as you tower over her.
"I'm only gonna say this once Bunny, if you think I'm gonna stand and watch as you unleash your killer crocs onto the Coast, you're DEAD wrong. Your sick experiments have no place in my home! Why don't you stop this before it's too late." You glance at Bunny, her eyes dart around the room looking for an escape. "Please, Bunny, I know you're better than this, surely you can use your talents for good."
"What do you want $name? Money? Salvage? Or a front seat as you watch the world burn!" She hisses, a crazed smile gnawing at her lips. You don't seem to be getting through to her.

[[Don't try to bribe me! You need to end this right now!]]Bunny grins, she's got you.
"Well you see, at the time of The Crash, the Zoo had many registers full of cash. We never had any use for the money, but we stored it away so the scavengers couldn't get to it. It's yours if you keep your mouth shut and that bat in its holster, AND get out of MY park, I don't ever want to see your ugly mug ever again."
"Deal."
"Good. I'll have Isla show you the cash and to the door. Now get that bat out of my face."
You are probably going to have to live with your conscience afterwards, knowing you could have prevented the Sunshine Cost from being overrun by mutated lizards. But as you feel the weight of the cash in your backpack, you know that life is good, while it lasts.

"Bunny, this has gone far enough. Think about this."
Bunny reaches to her hip, turning on the radio. Before you can stop her she lets out a low whistle into the mouthpiece.

Mr. Cuddles hisses with fury.
Upon Bunny's command, the lizard tears at the building in an effort to neutralise her attacker. The museum starts to cave in and the floor gives way, you cling to the nearest piece of debris.
"Now look what you've done! All you had to do was mind your own business!" Bunny stands motionless as the museum collapses around her.
The building has now split in half, the remaining scaffolding creaks. Sending you sprawling along the splintered floorboards.
You scream, "Bunny don't do this. Please!"
Bunny dosen't break her stare with you, "Say goodbye $name."
Before Bunny can protest, Mr. Cuddles relinquishes his tirade over the building. He groans, oversized lungs heaving with troubled breaths.
"Hey! Get back up you big ugly lizard and do what I created you to do!"
Mr. Cuddles collapses, his body lay among the debris as he draws his final, heaving breaths. Soon enough, you are left alone with Bunny. She ignores you, staring into the deep distance, you wonder what she is thinking about. With Mr. Cuddles out of the picture, world domination seemed less likely now.
You decide to leave Bunny alone within the flattened museum. Without another word you leave the park, The Coast has not yet seen the fury of a hysterical two-storey tall lizard. Hopefully, it never will.

"Isla, listen to me. You need to rethink taking over The Coast, thousands of people call that place home. You can't govern them all with a zoo full of unstable animals. It's insane, I hope you know that." You hope your somewhat gentle approach works, for the sake of everyone.
Isla glances at her birds and sighs deeply. "I know that $name, but Bunny has her heart set on claiming The Coast. I don't always agree with her, but she has dedicated years of research and work to this moment. I can't just take that away from her."
"Don't you realise you are gonna destroy thousands of innocent lives if you keep your mouth shut. Those animals aren't fit to police people, they lack the sense of justice and reasoning of a human being, they're gonna spiral out of your control once you reach The Coast. No matter now much you train them. Even I can see that."
"Well they are already falling apart. Some are mutating out of our control, others are dying due to internal complications, like Mr. Cuddles. I don't think he's gonna make it to The Coast, and that croc's our biggest asset. Listen, I'm in no position to cancel the project, but if you're gonna take it up with Bunny i'll come with you. We might actually have a chance then. She's in the museum."

[[You're not getting involved, I can't trust you.]] You march up to Isla, brandishing your cricket bat, and wave it in front of her. The birds launch themselves at the intruder and you bat them away in a flurry of feathers. The attacks cease and the remaining birds flee to the treetops. Feathers drift through the breeze, dusting the concrete with an assortment of colours.
Isla stares numbly at the feathers on the ground, tears welling in her eyes.
"You listen to me right now you little maniac!" You press the cricket bat close to her face, feathers are plastered to the nails.
"Don't talk to me you monster! How dare you come into MY park, kill MY birds and then threaten ME!" Her voice quivers with a mix of fear and anger. You are getting nowhere with this.
"Tell me where Bunny is right now."
"Museum." She begins to burst into tears and you leave her to grieve for her pets.

We cheated death, we built a stronghold and we survived in this hellish world. Is that not enough for you Isla! Is the prospect of having the world at your knees not good enough for you? After all we've been through together, you disgust me." Her coldness is terrifying, you fear for Isla's safety.
"This isn't about us Bunny, it's about the future of The Coast, we have more power than we can manage and it's falling apart around us. Don't you get it! Mr. Cuddles is dying on us, the genetic mutations are getting out of hand, and our beloved animals are falling apart. The plan was doomed from the start, we need to quit while we're ahead." Isla pleads.
"Shut up Isla. SHUT UP!" You don't seem to be getting through to her.
She faces you. "What do you want? Money? Salvage? Or a front seat as you watch your world burn!" She hisses, a crazed smile gnawing at her lips.

The king and queen were more enigmatic than you first percieved. You eye them in their chairs, sipping coffee.
"Hey Lisa turn on the TV, The Chaser is on at 5."
"Nigel, we haven't had electricity for 30 years. I tell you this every evening."
"Oh. I forget sometimes you know."
Grandma sighs. "Give me strength."
You exit the Throne Room.

You head to the train tracks to where the king specified.
The location was south of the town, away from the pristine cottages and classy cafes. The tracks circled around a field filled with crudely fashioned huts, smoke burned slowly from campfires. Dirt-encrusted scavengers lounged in camp chairs sipping from bottles of ginger beer. You see a few market stalls selling various commodities in exchange for ginger and coffee. The environment was a stark contrast to what you saw in the town. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>"I grew up in a place like this, so trash heaps like these seem like home to me." Audrey states, she looks very relaxed here.<</if>>

"Hey fellas, mind if I sit for a while?" You seat yourself on a large log surrounding the fire.
"Sure, be our guest. Haven't seen you 'round these parts, did they kick you outta the town too?" A man in tattered rags asks you.
"No, well, yes they did actually." You attempt to get some information out of these people.
"The brutes! They can't stand no one that don't abide by their fancy rules. They pay us in ginger so we can't leave the place, then kick us outta the town if we dare breathe out of line." A man with rotten teeth chimes in next to you.
"Wait, why can't you just leave?"
"Why? Ain't it obvious! Weapons are forbidden so we got nothin' to defend ourselves with if we do step outside, and we got no money either. Ginger ain't no money as far as I'm concerned, it's completely useless to the rest of the Coast. I'd know because I lived out there, before the alluring stories of a safe haven sucked me in. The Factory is safe, but we ain't safe from the tyrants that run this place."
The scavenger's perspective certaintly shines a new light on things at the Factory. <<if hasVisited("dav")>>Davo clenches his fists, "Damn leaders, power always goes to people's heads. I hate it!"<</if>>
"Well, what do we do about it then?" You probe the men, "Surely someone has to be doing something?"
"Yeah, there's a few people 'round here, plannin'. But if you said you just came from the town I ain't sayin' anything more than I'm allowed to. If you want to know so badly you go find them yourself."

[[Keep looking->Search for the rebels]] The markets move slowly in the late afternoon, their owners stand idly.
You saunter past the stalls selling food, ginger souvenirs and clothing and overhear a conversation from a pair of traders.
"Business is slow again."
"Always is, that's what happens when folks 'round here prefer to eat their money 'cause they're too poor to buy food. I hear the Recusants are gonna introduce real coins into the economy if they gain power. That'll solve a lotta problems for us. Can't wait."
"Yeah well I hope that happens 'cause I'm holding 'em to it."
You exit the market area, and begin to search for these people called the Recusants. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>"Oh, poor things. I feel kinda sorry for them." Audrey comments.<</if>>
[[Look around the streets.]]

You hope the R stands for Recusant and knock on the wooden frame.
A man with a spiked mohawk answers, "Sorry we aren't taking any new recruits right now, it's too late <<he>>." His rotten teeth glint in the light of the campfires.
"Is this the Recusants?"
"Yeah, hey keep it down. There could be spies around."
"Oh, well can you make an exception?" You need to get closer to this group in order to do the job properly.
"No, didn't you hear what I just said." The man grows irritated.
"Please, I'm exceptionally talented at um, maths. Trust me, you'd be making a big mistake if you don't let me join."
"Maths? What's a math?"
"It's a highly important thing to know, like numbers and stuff. Don't you need someone to do all the big calculations?"
"Actually I never considered that. Alright come inside, but one wrong move and you're back on the streets."
The man beckons you to enter the hut. Success!
[[Enter the Recusant's hideaway]]

"A friend, who's also interested in joining." Audrey smiles and nods in response.

"Am I supposed to know who you are?"

"Hey boss, I thought you said no greenies. We ain't got the time or the resources left to train 'em." One of the Recusants piped up.
The boss sighs, "yeah I know, but they said they're good at something called math, our newcomer might be useful. If not, then we got some cannon fodder. What's ya name anyway <<he>>?"
You introduce yourself to the crowd. "I'm $name."
"And? Where'd ya come from? We gotta know these things so we can be sure you ain't a spy." Another Recusant states.
"Well," you decide to stick to a cover story. "I got kicked outta the town not long ago and I overheard there was a group who can bring justice to the leaders that run this place."
"Well, I'm glad we're finally getting a name 'round here." The boss replies. "Alright, group dismissed, we got a big day tomorrow so i'll brief our recruit here." The Recusants nod and clear out of the room. "So, let's finish the formalities shall we, I'm Lincoln, and I run the Pilots of the New World Order, The Recusants. My bunch is dedicated to bringing down the despots that sit high and mighty in their chairs while the rest of us grovel in the dirt." He takes a sip from a bottle of ginger beer.
"$name, you came at a difficult time. Right now we're preparing for an assault on the Gingerbread factory. It's an intricate operation, but as a whole we're planning to overthrow its monarchs by force and liberate the citizens that are sidelined and forgotten, in other words, us. We aren't taking any recruits right now because we're pressed for time, but if you're a quick learner we'll welcome you to the team."
"How are you gonna overthrow the leaders when you don't have weapons?"
"It's called improvising." He leads you to a chest, inside lies various forms of weapons fashioned from old wood, metal and other objects. You make a note of this chest, it will come in handy. He pointed to an exceptionally lethal looking instrument. "This one's The Roaster, it shoots coffee beans at an extremely high speed. Unfortunatley it's also a bit expensive to run." The weapon was impressive, cobbled from the components of a coffee machine with a small canister attached to its body. "It also doubles as a flamethrower."
"Cool!"
"We begin the assault tomorrow morning. With or without you so if you're sticking with us let me know now."
You consider your options, the Recusant's cause seems quite attractive and you would normally jump at the chance of helping out a fellow scavenger. However, the king and queen have sent you on a mission. To destroy the Recusants would simply mean you were doing your job, and get paid. Nothing personal.

"Alright $name, welcome to the Recusants. Work begins the second the sun rises." Lincoln leaves the room and heads to his quarters. You decide to catch some rest as well. Tomorrow is going to be a big day.

Before he can make a move the shiv hits home and he crumples to the ground. You haul the ex-leader under the table and help yourself to the Recusant's belongings, taking the Roaster as a souvenir. You couldn't let a weapon this fine go to waste to a few ragged scavengers. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>"Oh man, I'm glad I wasn't the one who had to do that. Quick $name, let's get outta here while we still can." Audrey heads for the door.<</if>>
It was a job swifly done. Eager to get paid, you best return to the king before the other Recusants are awakened by the commotion.
You slip out of the hideaway and into the night.

"Davo, you knew this was gonna happen..." You retort.
"Nah mate, don't even talk to me right now. I thought you actually cared about others." He looks crushed.<</if>>
"Alright everyone up, we leave in half an hour." Lincoln calls to the Recusants who stagger out of their beds. "$name you come with me I gotta tell you our plan of attack." You follow him, still not fully awake.
He leads you to the wide table, "Ok listen, you're with me so just follow my lead. We're gonna start with the town, drawing the guards down there, then make our way to the Throne Room while they're distracted. The king won't know what'll hit him with his guards gone." You remember the cannon perched on the king's chair and are doubtful. "Don't worry $name, we've been plannin' this attack for weeks." He reaches over to the table and heaves the Roaster over his shoulder.
"Alright, everyone gather 'round, I gotta give a little speech before we head out." Lincoln's followers gather around the table. "We ain't gonna surrender today until we see change! Now, I know that sounds nice and easy to imagine, but, some of us aren't gonna come home tonight. I ain't forcin' anyone to lay down their life for the cause, so if you decide this ain't your fight, now's the time to head out." Lincoln surveys his group.
No one moves.
"Ha! That's what I'm talkin' about! Looks like I've trained you guys well. I guess it's party time!"
The Recusants cheer, gathering their weapons and heading into battle. You choose a wicked-looking wooden board, sorely missing your beloved cricket bat.
"$name follow me."
[[Follow Lincoln]]
"Ah $name, nice to be seeing you again. The king and queen have been awaiting your return." The guard at the front of the gift shop welcomes you inside. The secretary also greets you, they seem to know your name.
"Welcome back, I see you've dealt with those insurgents. Our informants tell us the leader has expired and gone to meet his maker." Grandad spins around his chair, a mug of coffee in one hand.
"They won't be planning a revolt any time soon. Your majesty." You nod to the Roaster perched on your shoulder, "I brought back a little souvenir."
"Keep it, I've got my own." He gestures to the cannon perched on the rear of his wheelchair, "This one shoots macadamia shells." <<if hasVisited("dav")>>Davo mopes in the corner, glaring at you and the king.<</if>>

"Ah yes, as I promised. Hey Isabelle!"
"Yes your majesty?" The servant darts to her master's aid.
"I think it's cuppa tea time."
"Of course your highness."
"Oh, I and almost forgot, will you bring that cash I put on the stereo."
"Of course."
She returns a few minutes later holding tea in one hand, and a canvas sack in the other. Time to collect your payment.
She passes the sack to you then dismisses herself. It is filled to the brim with coffee beans.
"What? Where's the cash?"
"What do you mean?" Grandad seems confused. "It's in your hand."
"You said cash, not beans. Your highness." <<if hasVisited("aud")>>Audrey also looks disappointed.<</if>>
Before grandad can utter another word the servant burst back into the throne room.
"Your highness" she pants, "The Recusants! They're storming the town and are gonna be here any second!" Grandad spits out his tea.
"What!" He bellows and shoots you a stern glance. "Deploy more guards! Get the whole force out there."
"We have your majesty. It's just not enough! They keep yelling about their leader. It's a revenge mission!"
Grandma sighs, settling back in her chair. "I told you this would happen Nigel but you never listen to me." The servant runs back outside.
Grandad curses, "And you!" He points a meaty finger in your direction. "You get out there with that Roaster and do your damn job." You nod, taking the sack of coffee beans and loading them into the hopper.
You are almost tempted to bolt for the gates now that you have realised there was no cash to start with, but you doubt the Recusants will let you leave peacefully, after what you did to their leader. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>Audrey begins to panic, "$name, these people are crazy! We should find a way to escape while they're distracted."<</if>>

"Actually, your highness, I think you need me to stay. Just in case they storm the throne room."
"They won't get past me! No one ever does." He presses a button on his wheelchair and the macadamia cannon spins around, ready to fire. You remain in the throne room, listening to the mayhem ensuing outside. "Got the ammo Lisa?" She nods, attaching a bag of macadamia shells to the cannon. Grandma then settles back in her throne, draining the last of her coffee.
There is a pounding at the doors outside and you hear screams from within the welcome centre. "They're getting close," you whisper. Grandad finishes off the last of his tea, ready for action.
Minutes later you hear a hammering at the Throne Room doors. The Recusants are here. "Honestly, I should fire the guards that are still alive after this. Can't even fight off a bunch of angry scavengers. Weak!" Grandad points the cannon to the direction of the door. You can hear the Recusants chanting from behind the door.
"Down with the crown. End the oppression. The New Age is here!"
You see the hinges give way and the frame collapses to the ground.

"Davo shut up." You hiss, "you're in this as much as I am!"
"Quiet you two! No bickering in the Throne Room." Grandma interrupts. "$name, get that weapon ready."<</if>>
You step into the reception area of the gift shop, guards brandish their weapons and crouch near the windows, ready for action. The secretary cowers under the desk. Outside, you can hear screams and shouts.
"Surrender the crown. The New Age is here!" The Recusants chant.
You ready your weapon and prepare to make a dash for the gates.
[[Escape to the gates]]You aim the Roaster ready to fire, but Grandad beats you to it, showering the Recusants in a violent hail of hardened macadamias. "Quick Lisa reload this thing!" Grandma begins to attach another bag of shells to the cannon.
It's your turn. You switch on the Roaster, it makes a whirring noise as you pull on the group handle, sending a spray of super-heated beans shooting into your opponents. They cry in pain but continue their assault on the Throne Room. As you reload, Grandad rains another round of shells on the Recusants, they finally begin to stagger back. "You can't hinder justice! Deliver yourself to the Recusants!" They squeak through pained breaths.
Grandad's last round of macadamia shells brings them to their knees.
"Ha! That's what happens when you mess with the king! $name, you do the honours, let them feel the consequences of mutiny!" Grandad gestures to the Roaster.
[[End the Recusants]]
[[Convince the king to spare the Recusants]]"Of course, your highness." You switch on the Roaster's flamethrower and reduce the rebels to a pile of smoking ashes. Grandma sighs, "Where's that broom?"

"Well, until next mutiny." Grandad settles back in his chair, "You know you're welcome to stay in the town, I can set you up with a nice cottage by the lake, you just say the word."
That sounds nice, but you know very well this place isn't for you, not enough piles of garbage to pick through. "That's a generous offer your highness but I'm afraid I'm gonna have to decline. You see, I'm on a tireless hunt for adventure!"

Grandma waves you off as you head for the gates. Although you didn't plan to get caught up in the middle of a revolution, you are grateful you weren't the one being reduced to ashes on the king's carpet.

"I've spoken with them, seen the conditions they live in. People can't afford to live in your system. Each day, more and more get exiled to the tracks, you rule these people with fear. Please, I'm begging you your highness, if you don't change the way you govern the people, these uprisings will just keep happening until there's no one left alive to rule!"
Grandad considers your proposal, eyeing the battered Recusants. "No one questions me! I thought you'd know that by now $name." He stops himself, "But, since I am such a benevolent and understanding ruler, I'm gonna allow these snivelling scavengers to live. Just this once." He orders them to stand. "Listen up you lot, you want change, and I guess I'm now listening. So, I'm gonna form a council comprising of you guys and my guys. Then, you can voice your opinions without killing half my town. Got it?"
The Recusants give a shaky nod, they glance at you gratefully although you guess they are still sore at you for killing their leader. You admire their tenacity for continuing the revolt despite your best efforts.
"Alright now get outta here, i'll send for you once I clean this mess up."
The Recusants stagger out of the room, you are pleased at this peaceful resolution and hope some good can come to the town. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>Audrey watches the last of the Recusants leave the Throne Room. "Wow, that was really brave of you $name, I hope the king still pays us though."<</if>>

"You did a great job $name, I knew you were gonna be perfect for the job. Here, take this." He produces a cloth bag, you hope it's not beans again.

You open the bag to find real coins.

<<set $coins to $coins+100>>You creep outside, careful not to be spotted by the Recusants. The grounds lay decorated with shattered glass, debris and townspeople fleeing from the Recusants. Far in the distance you can see smoke rising from the cottages, the town lay in ruins.
A guard grabs your shoulder, you scream in fright and almost set the Roaster off. "Hey, where you goin'? You ain't needed near the gates."
"Oh, I was just checking, you know? Just in case."
"Well I say you ain't needed there. Go back and help defend the Throne Room before I start gettin' suspicious." He roughly shoves you back in the direction you came from.
[[Return to the Throne Room]]
[[Dispose of the guard]]The Roaster clanks noisily as you and Lincoln creep along the train tracks.
"What about the other Recusants?" You ask.
"They know exactly what to do, trust me." Lincoln continues down the tracks, checking periodically for guard patrols. He halts at a nearby wall, "Okay, we're getting close now so here's the plan. The rest of the group are gonna take the town by surprise and then make their way up to the throne room. That'll draw most of the guards down that way. You and I, along with a couple others who are waiting nearer to the Welcome Center, are gonna sneak in and take the throne room by suprise. By then, the rest of the Recusants will have joined us."
The plan seems to be well thought out, you hope it works. <<if hasVisited("dav")>>Davo looks excited, "Yeah, we're gonna stick it to the Man!"<</if>>
"Welcome to the New Age $name! You're gonna go down in the history books. When we write them of course." The two of you continue along the tracks until you arrive at a shaded spot near the Welcome Center.
"You ready boss?" You see a couple of Recusants crouched in the nearby bushes.
"Of course I am!"
You and the others follow Lincoln. He raises the Roaster, ready to strike. "We're gettin' close, we just gotta wait for the signal."
You wait, tense with fear and anticipation. A few seconds later, you hear screams coming from the town. That must be the signal. "Alright fellas it's time for some action!" Lincoln leaps up from the hiding place, showering a nearby pair of guards with a hail of super-heated coffee beans.
"Clear. Let's go."
<<if hasVisited("dav")>>Davo eyes Lincoln in awe, "mate you are like, whoa! Totally my hero man! Can I get your autograph when we're done fighting?"<</if>> As your squad nears the target, you eye a large group of guards stationed at the door of the Welcome Center. Lincoln curses.
"Boss, there's way more than we thought. They were supposed to be drawn to the town not the Welcome Centre!" The Recusant's voice rises in a panic.
"You don't think I can see that!" Lincoln hisses, pausing to think.
"We could sneak around them." You chime in, trying to help.
"Won't work. Once we start on the Throne Room those guards'll just be drawn inside. We gotta get rid of them, quietly. I reckon someone goes over there and distracts them, the rest of us can finish 'em off while they're busy." He surveys the group, "Any takers for the starring role?"
[["I'll do it"]]
[[Remain silent]]
"Yeah, i'll go."
Lincoln looks at you in suprise, so do the other Recusants.
"If you think you can handle yourself $name..."
"Oh I think I can," you cut him off.
"Good luck then." Lincoln nods to you.
You take a deep breath and approach the guards. They appear to recognise you as you hear them call out, "It's that traitor!" You bolt and the guards give chase but they are gaining on you fast.
You hear a high-pitched whirring and dive around a corner, the guards behind you screech in pain as they are pummeled with a storm of coffee beans.
"Clear." Lincoln calls from the hiding place.
You return to the group. Lincoln displays a thumbs-up, "Still in one piece? Great job!" Giving you a pat on the shoulder, you beam with pride.
"Now let's hit the Throne Room before others show up."
[[Assault the throne room]]Lincoln waits expectantly, the others eye each other.
"Yeah, i'll go." One of the Recusants pipe up.
"Thank you my friend. Good luck!" Lincoln calls after her.

"Now fellas!" Lincoln sends a spray of beans in their direction. The Recusant darts around the corner before she can be tangled up in the crossfire. Lincoln's squad follow up with attacks from their assortment of weapons.
"Okay, I think that was all of 'em." A Recusant with a slingshot whispers behind you. The girl who led away the guards has returned, standing proudly.
"Mission accomplished!" She beams.
"Exceptional work! Now let's hit the Throne Room before others show up."
[[Assault the throne room]]A servant screams as the Recusants smash the windows of the welcome centre and dart through the jagged panes. Lincoln and the others neutralise the guards inside. "$name check that door." You head to the entrance of the throne room, tugging on the door handle.
"It's locked."
"Damn, everyone regroup." Lincoln eyes the secretary who cowers under her desk, the Recusants look on as he strolls over to her. "Hey ma'am, we're new here, can we request an appointment so see the king and queen?" He chuckles, motioning to his group who drag her from the desk and haul her to her feet, she shrieks in fear. "Don't worry, we ain't gonna hurt ya, how can we rule over you guys when you're all dead? We ain't like your precious king in there." He gestures to the bolted door, "So, whats the magic word to get in there? Is it please? Or do I have to <em>convince</em> you to open those doors huh?" The secretary whimpers, her eyes are glued to the floor.
Lincoln glances in your direction. "Hey $name, get over here and see what you can do with that silver tongue of yours. If you can't get her to talk then we use the Roaster." He grins, clearly enjoying this.

[[Convince with force->secretaryforce]]"Sure thing, you have your ID?" The shopkeeper asks.
"What's an ID?"
"I'm not sure, but theres a sign here that says I gotta say that. Nevermind, it probably wasn't important anyway." She scribbles a few numbers on a notepad. "That'll be ten pieces of ginger, there's a two for seventeen if you're interested?"
"Wait, ten pieces of ginger? Where do I get the ginger?" You have money but you are confused as to why she wants ginger.
"If you're running short I can sell in coffee as well." She taps her foot impatiently.
"I have <<print $coins>> coins here and I can't use any of 'em?"
"Sorry, no, we don't accept cash here. It's ginger or coffee only. King's orders."
"Okay then, I guess i'll try somewhere else." You head for the door, these people are confusing.

She scribbles a few numbers on a notepad. "That'll be five pieces of ginger, there's a two for seven if you're interested?"
"Wait, five pieces of ginger? Where do I get the ginger?" You have money but you are confused as to why she wants ginger.

[[Leave->Enter the Ginger Factory]] The boat begins to move and you descend into darkness.
A few moments later you hear music coming from a nearby speaker, as your eyes adjust to the shadows, you can make out a few exhibits on the walls in the form old animatronics and other mechanical puppets.
A booming voice drowns out the music and the lights of a projector switch on. "Welcome to the history of the Ginger Factory on the decommissioned boat ride. Repurposed by order of the monarchs, long live the king!'
A man cheers. You roll your eyes.
The voiceover continues as the boat floats deeper into the darkness. "Before The Crash, this place was a bustling tourist attraction, frequented by our very own king and queen." A projector displays several photos of the town's leaders before The Crash. They were smiling, cups of coffee were in one hand and ice cream in the other. Life back then seemed to simple and easy, they didn't grow up learning how to boil out radiation from drinking water, or how to defend yourself from other scavengers or even which animals are safe to catch and eat. What weaklings, you wonder how these people survived after The Crash.
"In the year 2020, the king and queen founded this lovely town during The Crash. While taking shelter in the Welcome Centre they gathered enormous commodities of ginger, coffee and macadamias from nearby factories and warehouses. As the years passed, they began to use these stockpiles to bargain and trade with other survivors, eventually gathering enough resources to fund and reclaim the Ginger Factory."
The boat floats to another section. The man next to you has tears brimming in his eyes. "It's just so beautiful, I am so proud to be serving such great leaders. Simply inspirational!" You sigh, when's this thing gonna be over?
The announcer continues. "As word spread around The Coast of a safe haven being established, fellow survivors swamped to this sanctuary, welcoming the respite from the lawless wastes provided by this peaceful society. The king and queen took advantage of their newfound popularity and promoted themselves rulers and rightful founders of the Ginger Town. Introducing a unique currency of ginger and coffee into circulation. No money needed here, it was a perfect chance to begin a new and promising life."
The man next to you is now weeping with joy. "What paradise, I'm so lucky to live here!" He exclaims repeatedly.
To your relief the boat has completed its circle and the attendants lead the group away from the vessel, ready for the next lot of townspeople to embark on their daily worshipping ritual.

You glance at him awkwardly, the secretary takes this opportunity to struggle against her captors, they shove her roughly. "Okay, so..." You are unsure where to start. "The king hired me to kill the leader of a group of rebels who were planning a revolt." Lincoln looks stunned. "I guess I just couldn't do it. You guys are fighting for something real out here, no amount of money could bring me from stopping that." <<if hasVisited("aud")>>Audrey pipes up, "Yeah man, you should be real thankful right now that we didn't kill ya."<</if>>
You leave Lincoln standing speechless and turn to the secretary. "As for you, we're gonna get those keys one way or another and the choice is up to you." You point to a few Recusants standing guard. "Hey, start breaking down the doors." They nod and spring into action. "We're getting into that room no matter what! You guys go search the desk." The remaining Recusants begin scouring the room. You order the them to release the secretary, she crumples to the ground, surveying with ire at the mayhem around her. "Search her pockets." They obey, but come up empty-handed. Lincoln recovers and begins to assist in breaking down the doors. He switches on the Roaster's flamethrower, within a few moments you hear a creaking noise and the hinges cave in. The secretary gasps, she staggers to her feet and flees the centre.
"We have access! Ready up everyone, this is the moment we've been waiting for!" Lincoln reloads the Roaster. "Hey $name, I'm glad you didn't kill me."
"So am I," you grin. "But don't get your hopes up."

[[Take cover]]You return in defeat to the Throne Room, Grandad eyes you suspiciously.
"The guards told me they needed me here, just in case."

"Honestly I should fire the guards that are still alive after this. Can't even fight off a bunch of angry scavengers. Weak!" Grandad points the cannon to the direction of the door. You can hear the Recusants chanting from behind the door.
"Down with the crown. End the oppression. The New Age is here!"
You see the door's hinges give way, collapsing to the ground.
[[Ready your weapon]]The guard turns his back to you. You are getting out of this place, no matter what!

"Hey, who's side are you on! Can't even remain loyal to your employer? You mercenaries are all the same!" She tugs back the slingshot even further.
"Wait!" You stammer, "You just saw I'm not on the king's side, please I'm only trying to get outta here! I promise I won't bother you anymore."
"How unfortunate. You know, I almost feel sorry for you. Until I remember you're the one that killed Lincoln!"

Before she can release her grip on the slingshot you elbow her sharply, she shrieks in pain and fires her weapon, narrowly missing your head.
You act fast, scooping the Roaster from the ground and aiming it at her face. She scowls, clutching her side.
"You got three seconds to leave me alone!"
She sighs and retreats back into the Ginger Factory. "You ain't worth my time anyway." The other Recusants follow suit.
You shakily continue towards the gates, keeping your eyes peeled.
As you approach the entrance you notice all guards at the gates have disappeared. Poking around, you open a crate near the guard posts and to your relief, you are reunited with your beloved cricked bat.
You approach the gate, tugging on the latch, and start to panic as you realise it's locked tight. You search desperatley for an escape, distant screams from the town invade your thoughts. <<if hasVisited("aud")>>"Oh no! We're gonna be stuck here $name, hurry up and think of something!"

[[Examine the gates]]You look closely at the gates, they are fashioned from black steel with barbed wire decorating the top. The fence is hemmed around the entire Ginger Factory, making these gates the only exit.

You aim the Roaster at the hinges of the gate and switch on the flamethrower. A hiss of flames invades the cool steel, warping the metal within a minute of the Roaster's activation. Soon enough, the hinges give way and the gate collapses.
"Hey! What do you think you are doing? That is crown property!"
You see a pair of guards running your way, weapons raised.
"Don't you guys have a revolution to fight?" You retort, aiming the heated Roaster at the guards. You pull on the group handle but the Roaster groans in protest, internal workings grinding to a halt. You throw the useless piece of metal on the ground and bolt towards the melted gates, the guards give chase.
[[Escape!]]You dart over the gates and glance over your shoulder, luckily the guards are preoccupied with a group of Recusants who were making their way to the Throne Room.
You sigh with relief and slow to a walk, still in one piece.
Although you didn't plan to get caught up in the middle of a revolution, you are grateful you managed to make it out alive, although the outcome of the war is a mystery to you.

"Surrender?" He spat, "That ain't no option! I'd rather die."
"Whatever, you do what you want but I ain't dying for this! It's not even my fight!" You leave Lincoln scowling at you and move out into the open, hands above your head.
"Your highness, wait!" He ceases fire, clearly amused.
"I've been caught up in this mess and I don't even live in this town! Please, let me get outta here."
"Are you serious! What do ya think you're doin'!" Lincoln hisses to you from behind the cabinet.
"Get the Roaster ready." You whisper back, nudging past the cabinet and into the centre of the Throne Room.
"Well $name, you've seemed to have made it your fight. And if you think I've got any sympathy for traitors, no matter where they've come from, you're wrong!" Grandad continues, "You're a real backstabber you know. First me, now poor Lincoln..." The king shakes his head.
Lincoln glances at you from over the cabinet. You give him a slight nod.
Grandad spins the cannon around to face you, "Any last words?"
"Duck!"
"Ducks? Oh man, I haven't seen one of those in years."
As Grandad is distracted, Lincoln dives from the furniture and points the Roaster at Grandad. The king swings the cannon to face his attacker, but it's too late.
Lincoln fires, sending the beans over Grandad's head and into the cannon, severing its wires. You race over to Grandad's chair and rip the control panel from the armrest.
"It's over, your highness." Lincoln gives you a thumbs-up.
Grandad looks desperatley around the room. "Lisa, do something!" Grandma remains seated in her armchair, she adjusts her glasses. "What do you want me to do Nigel? Yell at them?" She sighs, "Just don't put anymore holes in the furniture, they are antiques."
"Hey, look maybe we can come up with an arrangement." Grandad pleads with you.

"I'm gonna retire." Grandad declares. "I was gettin' too old for this anyways." He sighs in defeat, wheeling away. "Hey Lisa, I think it's coffee time."

"Nah, I would never do that." You chuckle nervously.

"Wait, you're leaving?" He looks crushed. "I was hoping you we're gonna stay."
"Don't worry I'll come back to visit soon enough, I'm sure you're gonna make this the best place on The Coast!"
"Sure will, you'll always be welcome here."
Lincoln waves you off as you head for the gates. Although you didn't plan to get caught up in the middle of a revolution, you managed to contribute to a successful outcome.

"Really girl. Can't you see you're brainwashed? That creepy lookin' thing is a damn cartoon character!"
"Get the hell outta my sight before you get hurt," her gaze darkens menacingly. The Jade followers gather around in defence, brandishing their weapons.
"Okay, okay I'm leavin' calm down guys."

You read the cheerful sign displayed near the entrance to the Big Pineapple, however you could barely make out those words due to the crude paint plastering the billboard. Beneath the entrance pavilion stands a greeter, she wears a crisp, white shirt with a strange face printed on it.

You venture through the Safari sector of the park, picking through any cafeterias or gift shops you come across, you find some cash under the counters in a few of the stores. Wandering around the aviary, you meet a few parrots who are having a very heated conversation about the brolgas in the wetlands sector.
Upon leaving, you eye the animal hospital across the zoo and just cannot resist.

"Until death? Give away my stuff?"
"That's what I said, please answer."

In time, scavengers found the place to be abandoned and repurposed The Pub into a small settlement. They also opened the retail village for trading and turned the theme park into a thriving community. <</if>><<if visited("Spare the Shredder")>>The Shredder and her gang remained in The Rig and continued their murderous activities just as before, although they had made a new friend. $name occasionally visited the gang during their jam nights, music rehearsals, or just to hang out. You giggle, what a mouthful.
The Greeter glares at you sternly. "If you're just here for the pineapples, you can turn around and go back to wherever you came from. But if you're actually interested in what The Jade has to offer then I would like to show you around."
You sigh, she is very persistent.
"Come on, i'll show you what I'm talking about." The woman takes your hand, and leads you to a small train. "This'll take us to where we need to go."
"Um, but where are we going?" You ask, quite reluctant to ride this mystery train.
"We are going on a tour."

This event is commonly referred to today as 'The Crash.' Turning the land of the free into a lawless wasteland fraught with thugs, scavengers and mutated predators. But to you, it's home.
It is now the year 2051, and upon graduating out of your local trash heap, you set out to explore the remnants of The Coast.

She bundles you on the train, you glance at the other commuters, they all wear the same white shirt with the souless Jade face plastered on the front. They smile at you, but despite their friendliness, you feel slightly out of place.
As the train leaves its post with a hiss of steam, the Greeter taps your shoulder and you turn to face her. "So, let's begin the tour!"
“First stop is the pineapple plantation. Well, it was called that before The Crash, now it’s been repurposed into a thriving community for the most devout Jade followers.” The train passes an empty field, it must have been filled with pineapples, back when this place was in its prime. “Did you know a single pineapple plant produces only one fruit, and it take several years to grow? Doesn’t seem worth it to me, I think The Jade Movement has transformed this place for much better use then what it used to be.” You eye the wide fields; market stalls and huts lined the dirt rows that now formed basic streets.

The train continues its route, halting occasionally to let people on and off. “Next up is the lagoon, our main water source, this is what attracted us to the place initially, fertile soil and a lake almost untouched by radiation.”
“Wow, you guys really got lucky here.” You say to her.

The two of you exit the train and are standing under the entrance pavilion once again. "So," she starts. "After all you have seen what The Jade movement can do, are you going to join The Jade?"

We worked hard to establish this sanctuary for Jade followers and we don't let anyone in that doesn't look like a potential follower." She eyes you, "Thats my job."

[[No, i'll do it by myself.->What the hell did you put in those noodles?]] You see a man sitting from the rest of the group, he has a sour look on his face as he surveys his peers. Upon catching your eye, he jerks his head to beckon you over.

"So, what do ya think of the place?" He asks you.
"Um well, I'm not sure yet." You reply, wondering if this member is as volatile as the rest of the gang.
His voice quietens to a whisper. "Yeah, the one that makes you call her Shredder, she's a real freakshow. The girl wasn't all that bad a few years ago, but then she became the leader of our group and the power's gone to her head, now she's turned into a total control freak."
You don't see why he's telling you all this.

"Not without her knowin' about it, if I'm gone for too long she'll hunt me down. For fun."
"Well, what do you want me to do about it?"
"I'm gonna tell ya the truth, the Shredder ain't gonna let you leave, that's a given. So you're gonna have to find a way to get outta here in one piece. If you cause a big enough commotion, I can slip out while the rest of the group is distracted with murderin' you."
"Excuse me? I ain't gonna be your meat shield."
"Mate, you're gonna be a meat shield with or without me. You've walked right into a death trap with the Shredder's games. You understand they don't actually want you here right? Look, if you help me leave this place, i'll make it worth your while. Whaddya say?"

"Yep I made it. Barely."
"Thanks to you, I managed to slip away without being seen. But not before gettin' a good look at you holdin' The Axe up to the Shredder's head, what a way to give her a taste of her own medicine, you rock mate!"
"Thanks, it all went perfectly to plan." You reply.
"So, can I ask another favor from you? You see, I ain't got nowhere to go now that I've left The Rig. Can I, um, tag along with you?
"Sure." You could use the company, even from the likes of Davo.
"Aw thanks mate, we're gonna have the best adventures!"
Davo has now joined you.
[[Ride along the highway]]

The Greeter has a pleased look on her face, "Now that's what I want to hear. Welcome to the Jade Movement our newest acolyte." She gives you a nod of approval. "Now that my job is done, I shall let my superiors know that we have a newcomer in our midst. They will be here to collect you shortly. Farewell $name."

You sit at the entrance pavilion for a few minutes until a man approaches you. He is clad in black clothing, with his head crowned with a red circular headpiece, similar to the Jade itself.
"Welcome our newest underling. Follow me, I shall take you to the recruiting area." <<if hasVisited("dav", "aud")>>Davo and Audrey follow you reluctantly.<</if>>
He leads you into the main building, surrounding Jade members nod politely to the man. He must be important.

The Greeter gives you a hard glare. "If you leave now $name, you won't be welcome back here ever again."

[[Ok, fine i'll stay->Yes, I'm interested]] The main building was very spacious on the inside. It looked to be the social hub for the myriad of Jade followers who buzzed about their daily activities. Upon living in The Coast for so many years, you find it quite strange to see such a large crowd co-existing so peacefully.
You turn to the man leading you, “So, who are you?”
“I am a member of the Ministry of The Jade. We decide what’s right for the whole of the community, such as initiating new followers and managing funds." The man produces an impressive blade from his long black robes, “We are also called the Peacemakers. If anyone needs to speak to The Jade, they go through us.” He holsters the blade and ushers you into an adjacent room. “This room here is the recruit’s dormitories. All recruits dwell here until they apply for a conversion to become a fully-fledged Jade follower. Your clothing is in the footlocker under your bed over there.” He gestures to a vacant bed. “Now, are there any other questions before I leave you to it?”
“Um I don’t think so?’’
“Okay, welcome to the Jade Movement $name. We are honored to have you here.” The man turns and leaves the room.
You turn to the footlocker, inside lies a white Jade shirt.

Despite the Greeter’s best efforts at explaining the movement, there seem to be a few holes in her explanations.
"Is it considered a movement though?" You ask, "what does it seek to change in the world?"
“We seek to change people’s hearts, to change them into joining the mighty Jade and becoming a loyal follower!” She responds enthusiastically.
“But what does the Jade promote?” You are confused at the goals of this group.
“Don’t you understand $name? The Jade promotes the values of the Jade! Which is to spread the love Jade to others and to devote your life to eternally serving our gracious leader.”
“So, you’re a cult?” You conclude.
She gasps, taken aback by your response. “No! How dare you say that about the benevolent Jade. We are a <em>movement,</em> I shall forgive your ignorance for now but be more careful next time.”
“If I join, are there any rules I need to follow?”
“There is one: Don’t leave The Jade Movement.”
“But what if I don’t…”
“There are no buts.” She interrupts, "So $name, are you interested in joining the best group on The Coast?"

You put on the shirt, throwing your tattered rags into the footlocker.

Davo remarks. <</if>>Wandering through the main building you find many Jade members going about their day. They welcome you warmly, greeting you with kind words of encouragement. After all these years on living on The Coast, you have never received so many nice comments. It was a welcome change.
The Peacemaker approaches you once again, he must have been eyeing you closely. "So, I see you're all settled in. Are you ready to become a fully fledged Jade member?"

She raises her eyebrows, "who then?"
"I appreciate your offer, but I'm already a loyal Jade follower." You reply to the Shredder.
"Them Jade freaks who live up the road?" She bursts out laughing, so do the other gang members. Was it something you said?
The Shredder composes herself, "You are really somethin,' but because I have connections to them freakshows at the Pineapple, I'm gonna give you a second chance at sayin' the right answer."

The man ushers you through the narrow door of the Big Pineapple and leads you up a spiral staircase. Each room was covered from floor to ceiling in Jade memorabillia, their countless beady eyes sending shivers down your spine.
Upon reaching the top floor, the man calls out to someone from the other side of the room. "My dearest Jade, our newest follower is here to meet you." The man proceeds to make a strange shape with his hands and bows respectably, the woman being addressed then returns the gesture.
"Hello $name, I've heard so much about you. It's lovely to finally meet you." The Jade approaches you, she wears the circular crown on her head and is adorned in long flowing robes.
"You've heard about me? Um, your Jadeness." You are curious about her apparent knowledge.
"Come and sit with me, i'll tell you everything."
[[Speak with The Jade]]You wave the cash around, "I know it's useless here but if you're plannin' to escape your gonna need some money."
The man eyes the cash, "Okay fine, they're in a hideaway down the street there. There's an 'R' etched into the wood if you look close enough." He snatches the cash out of your hand. "Nice doin' business with ya."
[[Find the hut->Look around the streets.]]

"Do I just go up there and meet her?" You ask.

"Um, no." You lie.
"Well, here's a spare shirt." He hands you another Jade shirt.
"Oh, thanks." You reluctantly put the shirt on.<</if>>
"Alright, I think you're ready to go. This is going to be the best day of your life $name, you won't regret it."

The Jade seats herself on a plush couch, motioning for you to join.
"You have promise as a daring adventurer, willing to spread the word of The Jade to even the most dangerous places. <<if hasVisited("I'd like some noodles")>>My followers at the plaza noticed how you dealt with the noodle vendor, very interesting. You joined the Recusants did you not? You leave the Pineapple, feeling joyful and lighter in step which you guess is from the cash you have now been relieved of. The Jade members approach you and offer congratulations, giving you kind and encouraging words. You feel loved and accepted. You feel happy.
The hardships of The Coast are gone. Finally, everything is right in the world. The Jade IS your everything.
Your first assignment: Spread the word of The Jade.

You have Joined the Jade and now unlock special dialogue options when dealing with others. Spread the love.Without hesitation you climb onto the railings and leap down the side of the spiky fibreglass structure. You land with a thud, facedown in a garden bed.
You stagger to your feet, brushing away the dirt. You can hear shouts from atop the Pineapple and the clatter of footsteps marching down the staircase.
The road is mere meters away, time to make the final dash for freedom.

"Nice jump, how original." The Greeter smirks, beside her the Peacemaker brandishes his weapon, the blade is red.
You groan in pain, and stagger to your feet.
The Greeter shoves you back on the concrete, "don't bother, we're just gonna finish ya off anyways." She steps aside to let the Peacemaker finish the job.
"Wait, no. Please..." you gasp.
[[Give up->die]]

"Shredder!" You gasp in surprise.
The Shredder addresses the Jade followers, "You freaks just broke our agreement." She brandishes the Axe, swinging it towards the Peacemaker. "Time to find out what happens when you mess with MY gang!"
She launches herself at the Jade followers, so do the other gang members. But soon enough the sounds of the battle become a distant hum, your vision fades as you collapse onto the cold concrete.
"Oi, someone get $name outta here before they die on us!"
You feel a pair of rough hands scoop you off the ground. Everything goes black.
[[Wake up->noend]]
You wake up and find yourself at The Rig. Thankfully, you haven't been locked in a fridge this time.
As your vision becomes clearer you see the gang members staring down at you anxiously. "$name's awake!" Exclaims The Fetor.
The Shredder moves into view, "Hey, how ya doin?"
"I'm alright, thanks for gettin' me outta that," you mumble.
"Don't mention it. We've been lookin' at an excuse to pick a fight with 'em for ages." She smiles, "Hey, I owed ya one. And don't worry, the Jade wont be botherin' you again. We left 'em with a real mess to clean up."
Grimacing in pain, you try to sit up.
The Fetor helps you to your feet. "First time gettin' stabbed? Don't worry, it's not nearly as painful as joinin' the Jade."
"I guess i'll head off now," you glance at the Shredder.
"You gonna be okay out there? You ain't lookin' too good." She eyes your wounds.
"Nah, i'll be right." You say between pained breaths.
"If you say so. Well, come see me if you ever need savin' again."
"Sure thing Shredder."

"I'm just saying, if you were to look at other leaders around The Coast, like The Jade. We never have any problems in our community because we are all united under one thing, The Jade!"
Grandad snorts, "You've gotta be kidding me. I don't brainwash my people like yours does, but I am tempted."
"Brainwash? You know nothing of The Jade, that's why I'm here..."
He stops you, "Just don't compare my ruling methods to the Jade's ever again. The Jade can't save you from my wrath if you get on my bad side. So, I assume you're taking the job since you hate dissenters so much?"
