In a primal world where colossal beasts roam, the Hunter's Guild is the only line of defense. You are a hunter, and your legend will be forged in blood, steel, and the turn of a card.

How to Win the Hunt
Welcome, Hunter. The ultimate goal of Hunter's Gambit is to be the first to defeat the legendary World-Ender Nidhogg. The hunter who lands the final blow wins the season, securing their place as a legend.
The Core Loop
Accept a Contract: From the Bounty Board, choose a monster to hunt. Each hunt costs a specific number of turns.
Travel & Prepare: Go to the World Map, select the correct region for your hunt, and choose a single Provision (consumable item) to aid you.
Complete the Hunt: To succeed, you must win three consecutive card game phases. Losing any single phase means the hunt has failed.
The Three Hunt Phases
Phase 1: Tracking (Higher or Lower): Find the monster's trail. A card is revealed, and you must guess if the next card in the deck is higher or lower. Chain together 5 correct guesses to succeed. You fail after 3 mistakes.
Phase 2: Stalking (Blackjack): Get close without being detected. Beat the monster's hand value without going over 21.
Phase 3: Battle (5-Card Draw Poker): Engage the beast. You'll be dealt five cards. You get one chance to discard any number of cards and draw new ones to make the best possible 5-card hand. Losing the battle will cost you 1 HP!
The Ultimate Goal: The World-Ender
While earning loot is key, the ultimate prize is the glory of slaying the season's final boss. As the season nears its end (with 5 turns or less remaining), a legendary contract will appear on the bounty board for the World-Ender Nidhogg. Defeating this cataclysmic beast is the ultimate challenge and rewards a massive amount of Loot, often securing victory for the hunter skilled enough to claim the kill.
Strategy for Success
Know Your Enemy: Pay close attention to a monster's special ability and the effects of the zone you're hunting in. They can dramatically change the rules of the card games.
Gear Up: Use Loot to buy new weapons and consumables at the Armory and Provisions tabs. Use Scrap (earned from every hunt, win or lose) to upgrade your weapons. Better gear is essential for tackling tougher monsters.
Complete Armor Sets: Legendary armor pieces are rare drops from successful hunts. Equipping a full set grants a powerful, game-changing bonus.
Manage Your Turns: You have a limited number of turns to hunt. Running out of turns means you have failed the season. Balance taking on tough monsters with conserving turns for the final battle.
