1. Territory: the map is divided into hex tiles. Teams own hexes; a state is owned by a team only when all its hexes are owned by the same team. If multiple teams own hexes in a state it is contested.
2. Turn flow: click "Spin Team" to choose a team. Then click "Spin Direction" to spin the stadium-mounted arrow and pick a target along the arrow's ray.
3. Claiming unowned land: if the arrow hits an unclaimed hex, the attacking team may claim the state's unclaimed hexes (you'll be prompted).
4. Battles: if the arrow hits a hex owned by another team, a battle modal appears. The user decides who wins — either directly in the modal or by resolving the outcome externally. The chosen winner then takes the loser's hexes or territory.
5. Elimination: a team with no hexes remaining is eliminated and will be grayed out in the spinner.
6. Victory: the last team left wins.

The viewer uses an open‑source US map (us‑atlas TopoJSON) and is rendered with D3. Click "Spin Team" to pick a team to act, and "Spin Direction" to choose a direction to attack from that team's stadium. Battles and claims resolve according to the rules shown in the rules panel.
