October 5, 2019. Westwood sleeps beneath a bruised sky. The Gothage Kingdom forgets its sins easily. Tonight, the past does not stay buried. [[Play as Randy Alexander, the drunk who wandered into the woods]] [[Play as Alex Hill, the dead who never left]] October 5, 2019. The town of Westwood, deep within the Gothage Kingdom of the dimension Octiviox, sleeps uneasily. You are Randy Alexander. Your head swims with alcohol. Your feet drag across damp earth instead of cobblestone. The bar is far behind you now, swallowed by darkness and regret. Trees loom closer than buildings should. Stone markers jut from the soil like broken teeth. You have wandered into the Abandoned Cemetery Woods. “Why couldn’t she stay?” you mutter. The night does not answer. [[Woods]] [[Lost]]You are Alex Hill. You died twenty years ago. The forest remembers. Your body rotted, but your purpose did not. You stand among crooked trees and half-sunken gravestones, bound to the Abandoned Cemetery Woods by grief and unfinished justice. Tonight, Randy Alexander returns. You feel him before you see him. The curse tightens. [[Stalk Randy from the shadows]] [[Watch silently and observe his actions]] You turn, squinting through the darkness, convinced the road back must be close. It isn’t. The woods close around you, branches creaking softly. The air feels heavier here, like the forest is holding its breath. A strange sense of familiarity creeps up your spine. [[Woods]] [[Rest]] You stumble forward, boots crunching on leaves and forgotten bones. A rock catches your eye. On impulse, you throw it. It sails through the air and vanishes into the dark. “Wow,” you slur. “Still got it.” Minutes pass. Time feels… slippery. Then your bladder protests loudly. [[Ignore it and find a tree anyway]] [[Hold It]]You sink onto a mossy stone, eyelids drooping. The smell hits you first. Rot. Damp earth. Something wrong. A shape moves in the darkness. You never see the face. The forest exhales. ENDING: LOST TO THE WOODS Some debts are collected quietly. You grit your teeth and push forward. The pressure builds. So does the silence. Too much silence. Laughter echoes faintly between the trees. A woman’s laughter. Your heart stutters. [[Follow the road]] [[Ignore it and find a tree anyway]]You fumble with your zipper and face the tree. As relief washes over you, the forest goes unnaturally still. No insects. No wind. You notice a carving in the bark. Randy + Sarah Your breath catches. “Why does that seem familiar?” you murmur. “It should,” says a voice behind you. “You loved her.” “So did I.” [[Turn Around]] [[Run]] You spin around. Nothing. Then you see them. Eyes, glinting faintly between the trees. “You’re getting closer to the truth,” the voice says. A smell drifts toward you. Rotting flesh. Your stomach churns. [[Search for the figure]] [[Call out to it]] You bolt blindly through the woods. Roots grab your feet. You fall hard. Something cold grips your ankle. ENDING: FLIGHT WITHOUT FORGIVENESS You can’t outrun the past. You step cautiously toward the eyes. Light filters through broken branches, revealing a winding road ahead. Your head throbs. Memories stir. [[Follow the road]] “Show yourself!” you shout. The eyes vanish. Laughter echoes again. The road appears before you, pale in the moonlight. [[Follow the road]]The road twists through the forest like a scar. “This road…” you whisper. Flashes of memory assault you. Headlights. Screaming. Metal screaming louder. “Oh god,” you breathe. “This is where it happened.” [[CrashSite]] The car is still there. Mangled. Wrapped around a tree like a steel coffin. A figure steps from the shadows. Skin gray. Eyes hollow. “It should be familiar,” he says. “It’s where Sarah died.” [[Face him]] [[Deny everything]] “Alex?” you whisper. He nods. “Alex Hill,” he says. “Dead for twenty years.” The truth crashes down harder than the wreck ever did. [[Confess your guilt]] [[Beg for forgiveness]] “This isn’t real,” you shout. The figure’s face twists with rage. The world fractures into screaming memories. ENDING: ETERNAL RELIVING Justice denied becomes torment without end. “I’m sorry,” you sob. “Please.” Alex hesitates. “Sorry isn’t justice,” he says. He fades… but the forest remains heavy. ENDING: UNFINISHED ATONEMENT Some forgiveness must be earned slowly. You fall to your knees. “I was drunk. I drove anyway. I ignored your warnings.” Alex watches silently. Finally, he exhales. “Then my curse ends.” He fades, smiling faintly. Sarah’s spirit appears beside him. Hand in hand, they walk into the light. ENDING: REDEMPTION IN THE SHADOWS Your heart feels lighter. You walk home alone. Changed. You move without sound. Your feet no longer disturb leaves. Randy stumbles, muttering apologies meant for no one. He throws a rock, laughs, drinks the moment dry. Rage flickers through you like old lightning. [[Wait until he reaches the tree]] You remain still. The forest bends to your will. Randy wanders deeper, unknowing, unready. You smell alcohol on him. The same smell as that night. [[Interfere subtly with the forest sounds]] [[Let him wander unaided]] Randy stops near the tree. The carving is still there. Randy + Sarah You carved it together, laughing. You remember the knife slipping. You remember her smile. [[Reveal yourself partially]] [[Stay hidden and let fear work]]You remember how laughter once filled the car. You let that laughter return. Sarah’s voice echoes faintly through the trees. Randy freezes. His heart stutters. Good. [[Guide him toward the road]]You decide to wait. [[Wait until he reaches the tree]] You draw him toward the road. The same road. The scar through the forest. Headlights flicker in your memory. You remember warning him. You remember being ignored. [[Go to the crash site ahead of him]]You let your eyes catch the moonlight. Just enough. He turns. You speak. “You’re getting closer to the truth.” His breath quickens. [[Guide him toward the road]]You let the forest tighten around him. His breathing becomes frantic. Panic opens wounds memory alone cannot. You feel the curse strain. Too much fear may trap you here forever. [[Guide him toward the road]] [[Push harder->BreakMind]]You overwhelm him. Screams. Memory fractures into noise. Randy collapses, mind shattered. The curse does not lift. The forest grows colder. ENDING: ALEX – VENGEANCE WITHOUT RELEASE You are alone again. Forever. You stand beside the tree. The car still clings to it, rusted and accusing. No one ever cleaned this place. Perhaps the world wanted you to finish the job. Randy approaches. [[Reveal yourself fully]] You step into the moonlight. Your face is ruined. Your eyes burn with purpose. “It should be familiar,” you say. He recognizes you. At last. [[Demand confession]] [[Test his memory first]] “Say it,” you growl. The words claw their way out of him. He confesses everything. The car. The drink. Your warnings. Sarah’s scream. [[Accept justice]] [[Reject mercy]] “Who was driving?” you ask. He hesitates. If he lies, the curse tightens. [[If Randy confesses truthfully]] [[If Randy denies]]“I… I was driving. I shouldn’t have. I ignored your warnings. I know I can’t bring her back.” The words hang in the moonlit forest. You feel the curse loosen just slightly. The years of anger, grief, and undeath weigh less. You look at Randy. His eyes are red, his hands shaking. You feel… mercy. “Then perhaps it is time to let go,” you whisper. Sarah’s spirit appears beside you, smiling faintly. Together, you step forward, leaving the wreck behind. ENDING: ALEX – REDEMPTION THROUGH MERCY Randy will live carrying the weight of memory. You finally find peace.Randy shakes his head violently. “It wasn’t me! I don’t remember—none of it! It’s not my fault!” The forest reacts to your fury. Shadows twist unnaturally. Pain courses into him. Memories replay like broken film reels—Sarah’s scream, the crash, the warnings ignored. You do not relent. Hours, minutes, and seconds blur into torment. Randy collapses, sobbing, screaming, broken by the truth he refuses to acknowledge. Sarah does not appear. You remain alone. ENDING: ALEX – VENGEANCE WITHOUT RELEASE You are still bound to the forest. Justice denied becomes eternal punishment… for both of you.The curse loosens. You feel warmth for the first time in decades. Sarah stands beside you, radiant. “It’s time,” she says. You look once more at Randy. He will live with this. That is enough. ENDING: ALEX – JUSTICE FULFILLED Hand in hand, you leave the forest. You refuse to let go. Pain pours into him like fire. His screams echo through Octiviox. Sarah does not appear. The forest remains. ENDING: ALEX – THE CURSE CONTINUES You chose vengeance. Now you must carry it.
