Your goal is to lead your team to glory in the Super League. You'll manage your squad, set your tactics, navigate the transfer market, and invest in your club's future to build a title-winning dynasty.
Player Management
Understanding Player Attributes:
Every player is rated from 1-20 in seven key areas. These attributes are crucial in the match engine:
- Tackling: A defender's ability to win the ball. For GKs, this represents reflexes.
- Heading: Prowess in the air, for both defending and attacking set pieces.
- Strength: Physicality to hold off opponents and win duels.
- Pace: Speed and acceleration.
- Technique: Dribbling, first touch, and ball control.
- Vision: Ability to see a pass and create chances for others. Key for assists.
- Shooting: Accuracy and power in front of goal. Key for scoring.
Player Development, Training & Retirement:
- Development: Younger players (under 24) have a chance to improve one of their attributes at the end of each season. Buy/Sell coaching staff to help develop your players quicker.
- Training: Player attributes also have a chance to improve every 5 matches played during the season. Upgrading your Training Facilities on the Club tab significantly increases this chance.
- Decline: Older players (over 31) may see their physical attributes (Pace, Strength) start to decline each season.
- Retirement: Players will automatically retire from the game and leave your squad when they reach the age of 35.
- Morale & Form: Winning matches improves morale and form, while losing has the opposite effect. Players who don't play for several games in a row will become unhappy, which can negatively impact their performance.
Club Management
On the Club tab, you can invest your hard-earned money back into the club's future. Upgrading facilities is key to long-term success:
- Youth Academy: Better facilities produce higher potential youth players in the end-of-season intake.
- Training Facilities: Increases the chance of your players' attributes improving during the season and at the end of the season.
- Stadium & Merchandise: Expand your stadium and improve merchandising to significantly increase your weekly and matchday income.
- Club History: This new section logs your performance each season, including your final league position and top scorer, building a record of your managerial career.
The Match Day Experience
The Match Engine:
Match results are simulated based on a complex calculation of each team's attack and defense strength, which is influenced by player attributes, morale, formation, and mentality. While the stronger team will usually win, there's always a chance for a surprise upset!
Enhanced Match Highlights:
The post-match report now shows more than just the final score. It includes a timeline of key events, so you can see the minute of every goal, injury, and red card.
End of the Season
A full season consists of 38 gameweeks. Once the season is over:
- A popup will show your final league position. Your achievements will be logged in the new **Club History** section.
- You will be awarded prize money based on your finish (£1 million for 20th, up to £20 million for winning the league).
- You will receive a new intake of youth players from your academy.
- Click "Start New Season" to progress, triggering player aging, development, and retirement before starting the next campaign.
