You try to uncork this bad boy, right here, right now. I mean who wouldn't want a little drink after waking up in an unfamiliar place with no memories of how you got here? Unfortunately the cork won't budge to your meaty little hands... [[Examine Surroundings]] [[Go to Sleep]]

You are on a large stretch of sand on an unfamiliar beach, in front of you the open ocean and to your back a dense jungle. [[Go Swim]] [[Enter Jungle]] [[Walk down beach]]

You lay down in the sand in the same groove you awoke in and fall back asleep. [[Wake Up]] [[Sleep Longer]]

You wake up after several hours with a sunburn in the same situation as before. Just now with a sunburn. Good job noble adventurer. [[Drink the wine]] [[Examine Surroundings]]

You try to sleep forever and ignore your alarming situation, but cannot sleep any longer. [[Wake Up]]

You begin eating the cheese, but this is a whole ass block of cheddar. You eat until you just can't manage another bite of cheese. [[Investigate Surroundings]]

All around you are tall spruce trees. [[Walk through the forest aimlessly]]

This whole situation is just overwhelming, screw it you think. Maybe if I just go back to sleep this will go away. You snuggle your block of cheddar and fall asleep on the forest floor. [[Awaken]]

You swim out to sea full of hope and naiveté, surely you can reach civilization riding the wave of your enthusiasm alone and your bottle of wine! After around eight minutes you being to tire and realize if you keep going you won't have the energy to make it back to shore. [[Just Keep Swimming]] [[Head back to shore]]

You make your way through the dense vegetation that makes up this island's jungle and continue walking until night begins to fall. [[Make Camp]] [[Continue walking through the night]]

You risk it all and keep swimming out to sea. You are so tired you no longer can muster the energy to fight the waves and swim. You resign yourself to death and begin to sink into the ocean. You wake up on a shore near some tidepools and rocks. In front of you, you see a beautiful woman sitting at the edge of the water. [[Approach Her]] [[Dive back into the ocean]]

You swim another eight minutes back to the shore, all this effort for nothing. You still have your bottle of wine and are exhausted. [[Go to Sleep]] [[Walk down beach]] [[Enter Jungle]] [[Drink the wine]] [[Go Swim]]

You decide to walk down the beach to see how large this place is, maybe you'll reach civilization eventually! You walk for hours and the sun begins to set on the horizon. It is a beautiful sight to behold. [[Go to sleep here on the beach]]

You stand up with wobbly legs and walk towards the woman. As you get close she turns around and says "Oh, thank Neptune you're awake!" You take notice of a tail where her legs should be and her nudity. [[Ask where you are]] [[Ask what happened]] [[Introduce yourself]] [[YOU'RE A MERMAID?!]] [[Where is my wine!]]

You scramble to your feet and run over to the edge of the isle. Assuming the position, you dive into the water. In the air you hear an enchanting voice call out "Wait!" You thrust forward under the waves and are greeted by something out of this world. Atlantis itself is in front of you and a multitude of Merfolk are swimming about. [[Retreat back to Isle]] [[Swim towards Atlantis]]

You hastily swim back to small Tidepool Isle in disbelief of what you just saw! You see the woman still sitting there. [[Approach Her]]

You begin swimming towards the gleaming citadel with all your energy you rapscallion, you. Mermaid quickly flock towards you with smiles and their hands are outstrecthed holding shell necklaces they seem to have made you. You try to talk, but quickly remember you are underwater and need to resurface for air like now, RIGHT NOW. [[Swim up]]

You are almost in a state of shock, but manage to ask the mermaid where you are. "You are on another plane of existence than humanity resides. It is the exact same as your earth only humans are absent here. I don't know how you're here." [[Where is my wine!]] [[YOU'RE A MERMAID?!]]

You ask what happened to you. She explains "I don't how you ended up here exactly, but I found you in a catatonic state under water by yourself, so I brought you to this isle and performed CPR." You imagine your unconscious lips locking with this hottie and smile. "Don't smile like that! I was saving your life" she retorts! [[Ask where you are]] [[Where is my wine!]] [[YOU'RE A MERMAID?!]]

You tell her your name and how you woke up on a strange beach with nothing but a bottle of wine and the clothes on your back. She seems intrigued, but offers no guidance on how you are in this situation. [[Ask where you are]] [[Ask what happened]] [[Where is my wine!]] [[YOU'RE A MERMAID?!]]

"HOW is this happening, first I wake up with a bottle of wine in the middle of now mermaids exist..." You feel queasy for a second, but relax when you see her calm expression as she explains "Yes we exist, many millenia ago humanity and Mermanity lived together in harmony, but as humanity turned away from the gods our civilizations seperated and King Neptune hid Atlantis away on another plane of existence." [[Where is my wine!]] [[Ask what happened]] [[King Neptune?!]]

You swim up towards the sea's surface in a panic. The Merfolk look amused seeing this and wait for you. You resurface and take a large inhale. [[Retreat back to Isle]] [[Swim back down]]

You swim back down to Atlantis maybe you can just interact with the Merfolk in thirty second bursts! You swim down and smile at the beautiful people. They hold out a necklace to you made of beautiful shells and seaweed. [[Don the necklace]] [[Reject the kind offering]]

You ask the mermaid the most important question ever! Where did your bottle of wine go? "Oh this thing?" she produces your beautiful chianti from the sand. "I kept it warm for you!" she says with a smile. You have your wine again! [[Ask her to open the wine]] [[Ask where you are]] [[Ask what happened]]

You put the necklace on and as it rests on your shoulders you feel a rush of energy swell through you. You can see much more clearly and breathe underwater. [[Talk to the Merfolk]] [[Swim back to the Isle]] [[Continue forward to Atlantis without saying anything]]

That necklace and this whole situation is sketchy af tbh. You've seen Pirates of the Caribbean! Merfolk, especially the hot ones, just want to eat humans. You shake your head no and see all their disappointed faces. You feel a moment of pride as you know you just successfully thrwated an attempt to eat you. [[Swim back to the Isle]]

You swim back to the Isle and see the woman still waiting for you. As you stand on the dry land you see she is also a Mermaid and looks disgruntled that you curved her like that. [[Ask where you are]] [[Ask what happened]] [[Introduce yourself]] [[Where is my wine!]]

You socially awkward representative of humanity. Doing us all proud. You swim towards Atlantis, the Merfolk swim much more fluidly than you and easily keep pace beside you. One of them says "Hello human! We have not seen your kind around here for millenia! You are an honored guest! May we please show you our city and culture?" [[Laugh and actually respond]] [[Just straight up, keep swimming towards their city]]

Again you don't say anything and just keep swimming towards the citadel. You are almost to the large open gates when the Merman says "What the fuck? Do they not speak English? I really thought they spoke english..." [[Laugh and actually respond]] [[Enter Atlantis]]

You finally decide to speak to these lovely Merfolk that have been nothing, but patient with you. [[Ask them where you are]] [[Ask them what happened]] [[MERMAIDS EXIST?!]] [[Where is my wine!!!]]

You swim through the gates, still silent with you entourage of Merfolk that just want to talk to you. In the city you are amazed to witness a society more technologically advanced the one you left behind. Resplendent neon lights illuminate this underwater metropolis. [[Continue through the city]]

You continue down the main avenue amazed by the shops you're passing such as the Crystal Court Shops. At the end of the avenue you see an overwhelmingly large palace made of different coloured corals. It seems older than the rest of the architecture that makes up Atlantis. You haven't spoken so far, so why start now! Silence for life, congrats. The Merfolk you're incapable of speaking and seem less offended. You brush away at the ground and make a small clearing of dirt and lie down in it. You fall asleep in your lovely camp cold, wet, hungry, and thirsty. Things are grim. [[Wake up in jungle]]

You continue walking through the jungle in the night and in the distance you hear commotion and see lights in the trees. [[Head towards the lights]]

You make a cozy divet in the sand to lay in for the night and fall asleep on the beach again. You wake up to the harsh sunlight hitting you in the face, but actually feel rested. You have your wine and are basically in the same position you started just further down the same beach. You have noticed the beach begins to curve indicating that this is in fact an island. You swim towards the Palace followed by your entourage. As you draw closer news of your arrival must have spread. Lining the streets and on balconies people are throwing down little shells of different colors like confetti that slowly drifts down to the ground. At the Palace steps is the King himself. He is announced by an underling as King Neptune. By his sides are what you assume to be his children. On his left is a beautiful Mermaid decorated in golden shells and scales with shimmering hair. She is the same girl you curved on the isle! [[Go straight for the trident]] [[Bow]] [[Offer your wine]]

You swim over and enter this futuristic aquatic shopping plaza. It is well decorated and has interesting stores selling things you've never seen in your life. You see mermaids eating in a food court. [[Go to food court]] [[Leave the Crystal Court Shops]]

You ask her if she has a wine opener on standby. She is visibly nude and half fish, but who knows, maybe she has some pockets or something. She laughs again and takes the bottle, in an amazing feat of Merstrength she just pulls the cork right out with ease. You walk along the beach with your bottle of wine and are so thirsty and hot. [[Give up and Die]] [[Enter Jungle]]

You swim into the food court and see kiosks and fast food places. One catches your eye, Grouper Express. The dazzling orange and pink orbs of fish meat they are giving free samples of looks and smells delicious. You swim over to Grouper Express and see the shock on the Mermaid employee's face as a human is in front of her. Her mouth is agape and her hand is still outstretched as she is shocked. You casually take the sample from her hand and pop it in your mouth. You were right it is delicious. [[Buy a meal]] [[Leave the Crystal Court Shops]]

You exit the plaza the same place you came in and the entourage is excitedly waiting for you. You hear them talking between themselves... "Do you think they liked the shops?" "No that baboon can't comprehend economies or stores!" "ahh, of course!" If only you could speak and show these Merfolk you mean business and are intelligent! [[Continue towards the Palace]]

You point to the food behind the glass and mimic eating. You really are a little monkey huh. The mermaid shakes out of her shock and just gives you the food for free. You happily swim away with your to-go box. [[Eat your meal]] [[Exit the Crystal Court Shops]]

You swim over to a table and sit alone, the entourage is waiting outside. All eyes are on you as you kind of float in the seat and devour your meal, you were starving. To drink, you just swallow the water around you, salty but good enough. You notice a few snobby Mermaids looks disgusted and sip their SeaStarbucks. [[Exit the Crystal Court Shops]]

You are now nice and full and you swim back out the plaza at the same place you entered. The entourage is absolutely amazed you secured a meal at Grouper Express without the ability to speak. [[Continue towards the Palace]]

In front of thousands of Merfolk and this giant, ripped god of the seas, you swim forward. You are so slow compared to all of them, but you get uncomfortable close and two guards block your way with their tridents crossed. [[Push through to the king]] [[Bow]]

You do your best bow before Neptune and he responds with a hearty laugh. [[Finally speak]]

You push through the Royal Guard and lay a hand on the King's trident. Electricity surges through the trident and the last thing you see is a confused look on the King's face before you die. What did you think would happen? [[The End]] Or revert back [[Continue towards the Palace]]

You finally say your first words to this civilization of kind Merfolk. What took so long? "Hello King Neptune, I don't know where I am or how I got here." you explain "You are in Atlantis, it was once a part of your earth, but after a great schism between the kingdom of Aquatica and humanity I moved our civilization to a neighboring dimension." You question this mermaid. "King Neptune... like the myth?" "He is no myth, he is the god of the sea and has immense power!" she responds slightly perturbed by your ignorance. "If he has the power to move a civilization to another plane of existence, do you think he could help me get home?!" you ask with your hope reinvigorated "Easily" she smiles at you [[Let's go!]]

She puts a magical necklace on you made of shells and seaweed, as you go underwater you notice that you can breathe and see underwater. You and this beautiful mermaid begin swimming towards the aquatic mertropolis straight past a group of attractive Merfolk, they follow you both at a distance. Along the way she realizes she hasn't introduced herself! "OH! By the way my name is Koral!" Koral has long red hair and an aquamarine tail. [[Swim through the gates]]

You swim through the citadel gates escorted by Koral. "We should head directly to King Neptune, the city awaits your arrival currently." You see a plaza named Crystal Court Shops [[Go to the Palace]] [[Stop at the Crystal Court Shops]]

You wake up in an entirely new location then you went to bed, this is just as unsettling as when you were a kid. You are in what appears to be a treehouse and drink some of the water next to you. [[Exit the treehouse]]

You see a large collection of bamboo treehouses in the canopy lit by torches. You see humanoid figures and excitedly rush towards the civilization. You are shocked as these aren't humans, but... Ape Men??! They notice you. [[Climb the Ladder]] [[Run away]]

You tell them your name and how you woke up on a strange beach with nothing but a bottle of wine and the clothes on your back. They seem intrigued, but offer no guidance on how you are in this situation. They introduce themselves as the Enclave of King Neptune and are happy to meet a human who can conversate. You ask the merfolk the most important question ever! Where did your bottle of wine go? "I did not see any bottle with you, but maybe Koral knows, she is on the isle waiting to talk to you! You ask this group of attractive Merfolk what happened. They explained they don't know how you got here but Koral the mermaid on the isle, found you and saved your life. [[Ask them where you are]] [[Where is my wine!!!]] [[MERMAIDS EXIST?!]] [[Introduce yourself to them]]

You present your treasure you madlad. This bottle of wine you've traveled so far with. King Neptune accepts and explains "I haven't seen any of this in years, thank you, the city of Atlantis welcomes you." You hear cheers from the crowd. "Is there anything I can do for you?" he asks [[Ask to be sent home]] [[Decide to stay in Atlantis]]

King Neptune nods "Very well, if that is your wish. It was a pleasure having you, as short as it was." He raises his trident and pounds the end back onto the step. A magical energy bursts towards you as rainbow spirialing helix and touches you. You wake up in your bed at home with your bottle of wine. Was that a dream? [[The End]]

You tell King Neptune that you are loving it here so far, especially that Grouper Express. You notice his daughter holds back a smile. You become the ambassador of humanity in Aquatica and eventually fall in love with King Neptune's daughter Koral. You live happily ever after. [[The End]]

You decide to adhere to Koral's advice and go directly to the Palace to the court of King Neptune. You are surrounded by marvelous architechture and seascrapers. At the end of the avenue you see an overwhelmingly large palace made of different coloured corals. It seems older than the rest of the architecture that makes up Atlantis. You decide you are famished and what if theres no food at the Palace of King Neptune! There's for sure got to be a food court in this mall! [[Enter the Crystal Court Shops]]

"We really should just eat the food at the Welcome Banquet, but honestly Grouper Express is my favorite." Koral orders you both a meal and swims over to a table with you. [[Eat your meal with Koral]]

You and Koral thoroughly enjoy this fish fast food and laugh together. It is a lovely time and you feel closer to Koral. "I am so thirsty Koral." you reveal "Well, don't drink the water we swim in, its dirty, but if you like we can get some SeaStarBucks, but we need to hurry" [[Drink the water around you proudly]] [[Go to SeaStarBucks]] [[Go to the Palace now]]

You just begin gulping the water around you, Koral doesn't judge and admits she does it on occasion. Its bascially tap water as Atlantis does have a filtration system. You notice a few snobby Mermaids looks disgusted and sip their SeaStarbucks. [[Go to the Palace now]]

You decide to keep the god of the sea and the only being who can help you waiting because you're having just such a good time with Koral at the mall. You and Koral enter and it is just like a Starbucks except everything is marine themed. Koral orders you both a special frappucino and you notice Merfolk seem to revere her. [[Go to the Palace now]]

You finally decide to head to the Palace. You exit the Crystal Court Shops and are on the main avenue of Atlantis again. You are surrounded by marvelous architechture and seascrapers. You and Koral are reaching the end of the avenue and the steps of the Palace. As you draw closer news of your arrival must have spread. You step out onto the balcony and see... Ape men. They appear tribal and wear loin cloths. You struggle to comprehend their language, but the closest one embraces you. [[Hug back]] [[Run]]

You take a deep bow. Koral and Neptune smile at you. "Rise, you are the ambassador of humanity here in Aquatica!" [[Ask to be sent home]] [[Decide to stay in Atlantis with Koral]]

You tell King Neptune that you are loving it here so far, especially that Grouper Express. You see Koral smile, and you lock eyes with her. "Very well, as the human ambassador you will live in the Palace in honor as long as you wish." You live out your days in the Palace and fall in love with Koral and live happily ever after. You hustle back to the beach through the jungle and it takes a full day. The ape men must have been really far from the beach. You arrive at the beach exhausted and collapse in the sand and fall asleep. [[Wake Up]]

You climb up the ladder to the tree house that you woke up in. An ape man wearing a headress and loin cloth holding a staff awaits you. He embraces you. [[Hug back]]

You just begin walking in what you think is probably north, who knows? You start walking in that direction for a few hours. You come to a road and across the road is more trees. Its now dusk. [[Wait beside road]] [[Return to forest behind you]] [[Continue past the road]]

You wake up in the same situation you went to sleep in. A few hours seemed to have past and you are too awake to sleep anymore. [[Eat the Cheese]] [[Investigate Surroundings]]

You stand beside the road with your cheese. Why are you here? What's the point. [[Walk West along the road]] [[Walk East along the road]]

You cross the street easily as there are no cars whatsoever. You enter the forest on the other side of the road. You see a buck eating grass in the distance. [[Chase the buck]] [[Turn back to the road]]

You enter the forest you came from and walk back for an hour. Night falls [[Lay down]] [[Walk during the night]]

You decide that all roads lead to civilization and begin walking west down this two lane road. You walk for a few hours and not a single car has passed by. You notice that there is a private driveway to a cottage in the woods. Their gate reads "No Trespassing" [[Ignore Cottage]] [[Trespass]]

You decide that all roads lead to civilization and begin walking east down this two lane road. You walk for a few hours and not a single car has passed by. You come across an abadoned gas station. [[Ignore Gas Station]] [[Enter Abadoned Gas Station]]

You lay down in the dirt, leaning against a tree, just you and your cheddar. How did this happen? Why are you here? You fall asleep dwelling on these thoughts. You wake up to a loud crashing noise in the forest drawing closer. You are petrified and remain prone holding your cheddar. Before your eyes you see it. A huge tree like man milling about the forest. [[Attempt communication with him]]

You continue walking under the moonlight, you never were scared of the dark. This is all some strange nightmare anyways right? In the dark forest you hear loud footsteps and see a pair of giant glowing green eyes. A huge tree humanoid is barreling towards you. [[Fight]] [[Flight]]

You continue past the cottage and keep walking down the road. Eventually you reach a familiar sight. Over the horizon is a large city. It is not a city you have ever seen before. [[Walk to city]]

You climb over the gate ignoring the sign and began to walk through this property stealthily. You see past the trees and at the end of the long dirt driveway is a wooden cabin. [[Approach the cabin]] [[Sneak around back]]

That gas station look sketchy as fuck. You keep going down the road. After an hour of walking you begin to notice that this road must have been a big ass circle. That is the same abadoned gas station. Fuck your life. [[Enter Abadoned Gas Station]] [[Walk West along the road]]

You go in this abadoned gas station and it is a wreck. It looks futuristic and the pumps are actually superchargers for electric vehicles. The shelves inside are mostly knocked over and empty. The phone on the counter is not working either. What is going on. You find a map on the ground and figure out that you are just outside St. Louis. [[Head to St. Louis]]

You begin running at this majestic stag willy nilly. It senses you before you're even within 30 ft and flees. You are now deeper in the forest to the other side of the road. [[Continue exploring the forest setting]] [[Turn back to the road]]

This is just more forest like the place you woke up, whats the point. You return back to the road. [[Walk West along the road]] [[Walk East along the road]]

You walk towards this average North American city. As you draw closer you notice how eerily quiet and dead it is. All the cars along the road are abadoned and in a traffic jam. [[Enter the city]]

You approach the cabin hopeful that somebody inside can help you escape this nightmare and figure out where in the world you are. [[Knock on door]]

You sneak around the back of this wooden cabin. On the back wall there is a window. Nobody is around. [[Break window]] [[Peak through window]]

You knock on the wooden door 3 times. The whole place looks old and unkept, maybe nobody is home. You wait a couple minutes knocking periodically, but nobody ever answers. [[Break in]] [[Sneak around back]]

You begin kicking the door in with all your might. It has been rough out here and if nobody lives here anyways you might as well make the most of it. You break down the door after a few hearty kicks. [[Enter Cabin]]

You enter the desolate cabin. It is mostly empty and looks looted. There is old floral printed furniture reminscent of your grandma's couch and many cobwebs in the corner. You see a mouse scurry into a hole in the wall after you enter. The cabinets are all open and empty. There is a bed. [[Sleep here for the night]]

You pickup a nearby rock and throw it through the dusty glass pane and it shatters. Why? Nobody responds and nothing happens... You can't fit through the frame regardless. [[Peak through window]]

You see through the window that this place is abadoned and empty. [[Break in]] [[Continue past the cabin into the woods]]

You give the bed a few smacks and see the dust plume off before you settle on top of it. You get a good night's rest, but are still hungry. [[Search for food]] [[Eat the rest of your cheese]]

You search the cabin all over for any food and find a tin of Heinz Baked Beans. Set to expire in 2145! Perfect, still over a hundred years on these bad boys. You manage to break the can open and it smells rancid. You start a fire and warm up your yummy beans. A satisfying dinner. You really love beans. You bravely enter this store and say "Hello... Anyone there?" Rushing towards you is a malformed and burnt humanoid ghoul. [[RUN]] [[Kill this fool]]

You continue wandering around the forest when you hear loud, crashing footsteps. You are petrified, whatever is making these noises is getting closer. You are catatonic. In front of your own eyes is a giant tree man. [[Fight]] [[Flight]]

After about twenty five minutes of walking and chatting with Edaro you see a clearing and inside it several bungalows made of thatch and bamboo. Green skinned tall people adorned with leaves are working about the village and welcome Edaro back. "Edaro! Welco..." They notice you up there. [[Uh oh]]

"No thanks big tree man, green giant lookin ass." you insult Edaro. Surely he is lying about all this stuff that your experience so far points towards. You can just go live in that cabin or something. "Suit yourself, be safe out there." Edaro says as he walks away. [[Change your mind]] [[Approach the cabin]]

"EDARO LOOK OUT YOU HAVE SOME WEIRD ASS THING ON YOU!" They begin rushing towards Edaro with a broom. "No, no guys this is my human bro! He gave me cheddar and is from the past." As you begin walking out of the city with the child it starts melting and turning into a liquid in your hands. Some kind of weird side effect of radiation of its parent's murder. You are going wild at this point and are so much stronger than the average ghoul. You get a few scratches and bites but kill them all except one ghoul old woman. [[Finish her]] [[Interrogate her]]

You walk around the ruins of downtown St. Louis. You find city hall and take shelter in it. You produce a makeshift throne and live out your days there. [[The End]]

You tell her that you are a time traveler that has traveled here to save her, she was a ghoul and you cured her and saved her from the ferals. She thanks you and embraces you. [[Fall in love?]]

You and Rebecca explore the ruins of St. Louis. She is familiar with St. Louis and grew up here, but is saddened by its current state. She takes you to her old apartment.
