Well, they finally did it.
Your work inbox this morning had something from Steph's personal email. She was let go along with thirty two others in the last round of layoffs. Her slack has already been disabled.

She had //also// been very outspoken about the last round of layoffs. There's no guarantee they knew the two of you had been talking about unionizing over the past couple of months.
Otherwise why not fire you as well?
She'd reached out to some unions and the both of you had been to a few one hour trainings over the weekend, but there hadn't been anything serious yet.
Well, the plan was always to start talking to others this week. The only difference is you're doing it yourself.

Right now, he's reviewing a pull request from one of the other engineers. He doesn't seem to be too engrossed in it though.
