This I believe Project

You're in a classroom, the teacher is speaking and you are sitting next to your best friend. The teacher says that there is homework that will be do at the start of class the next day. You and your best friend decide to hang out after school that day. [[continue]]

Later that day, after school, you and your friend are hanging out and he wants to go home to do his homework for class. He noticed that it was a rather long assignment and the material is difficult. [[You make fun of him for wanting to do homework]] [[You agree, noticing the same things, and he leaves to go home]]

He says "whatever," obviously annoyed, and goes home to do his homework [[You watch something new on netflix and choose not to do your homework]]

You go to your room and get your stuff ready for some work. You start and you and your friend help each other over the phone with questions you both have, to help you both understand the material. [[You finish the homework assignment and spend 4 hours on it, but complete it and have a pretty good understanding of it]]

At midnight, you look at the homework sheet and you realise it's a hard topic and you are confused on how to do it. [[You text your friend to send you the answers]] [[You quit and decide not to do it]]

He doesn't want to as he worked hard and he spent 3 hours doing the assignment. [[You beg and he gives in]] [[You say "fine" and decide not to do it]]

You spend the rest of your night watching Netflix, and don't do the assignment [[You go to sleep late that night]]

You copy his whole assignment word for word, not even understanding the work, after you go to sleep. You wake up and go to class the next day. [[You walk into the class]]

You go to sleep and wake up for class the next day. [[You walk into the class]]

You walk in and realise that theres a pop quiz based solely on the previous nights homework, and you become nervous as you don't understand the topic at all. [[You fail the quiz]]

I believe that honesty is the most important trait that anyone can have. Not being able to trust someone,especially if it is someone close, is horrible, and trust is very important. I always try to be honest and the consequences will never be as bad as lying and getting caught. Many might be able to relate to the story just told, asking a friend for a homework that you didn't do, and ultimately ends up hurting you in the end. I can most definitely relate, but as I grew older, and my school work got harder, I will always do my own homework, and never try to take someone else's work and pass it as my own. I like to think about it like, yes, you get a good grade for the homework you copied, but when the quiz or test comes, your lost and don't understand the topic. Like the student in the story, all branches leave you to failing the quiz, unless you choose to do the assignment when your friend does.

You go to sleep early because your so tired, but feel accomplished that you did it yourself. [[You wake up early and get ready for class]]
