Trapdoor

Jeremy is an 18 year old boy who goes to high school in Florida. One day he is walking home from school. Everything seems completely normal, but he starts to feel funny, and decides to go sit under a tree in a park. There is no explanation for this feeling that has overcome him, but he feels fatigued, and unable to continue his walk home. There is a drinking fountain across the park, but he is feeling slightly dizzy. Should he [[Get water]] or [[Continue resting]]

Jeremy goes to retrieve some water from the drinking fountain, and on his way he runs into an old man who asks him if he's doing okay. Jeremy tries to tell him that he is feeling dizzy and fatigued, but before he can get the words out, he passes out on the grass. Several minutes go by, and Jeremy finally wakes up from his daze. The man is missing. Jeremy continues to the drinking fountain, but out of the corner of his eye he is able to see a person hiding behind a tree. He double takes on the tree, but does not see any human standing there. He walks up to the tree that this figure had been standing, and begins to investigate. [[Walk up to the tree]]

Jeremy continues to rest under the tree, and after some time passes some kids walk to the park to play frisbee. They throw the frisbee back and forth a couple times, but one of the kids miscalculates his throw and it lands at a tree behind Jeremy. Jeremy decides to get up and retrieve the frisbee for the kids. [[Walk up to the tree]]

Jeremy walks up to the tree, and notices a trapdoor hidden underneath some foliage. <img src="http://scribol.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/15-open-secret-trap-door.jpg"> He is slightly concerned as to what is underneath, but he is very curious regardless. [[Open door]] [[Walk Away]]

When Jeremy opens the door, a staircase presents itself. He doesn't know whether or not going inside would be a bad idea, so he takes a minute to consider his options ... [[Descend down staircase]]

Jeremy walks away from the trapdoor he found hidden by the tree. He continues on with his day, going home to eat dinner with his parents. He is very curious about the trapdoor, wondering whether or not there could be something of value inside. Curiosity is taking over his thoughts, and he decides to take the same route home from school today. He begins to feel the same odd feeling from the day before while he is on his way home from school. His curiosity gets the best of him, and he goes over to the trapdoor to investigate. [[Open door]]

The staircase continues down for about 50 steps so it takes Jeremy a moment to reach the bottom. About half way down the staircase he is unable to see his path anymore, so he reaches into his pocket for his phone. <img src="http://positive-vibes.me/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/dark-flashlight-tunnel-underground-netflix.jpg"> [[Turn on phone flashlight]]

He eventually reaches the bottom, where he is presented with a dark tunnel that has no visible end. Jeremy is very frightened by the emptiness at the bottom of the tunnel, causing him to become so anxious that he begins to panic. He then runs back to the staircase in which he entered the tunnel. Upon arriving to the staircase, he realizes that it has now been blocked off by a dead end. [[Stay put and think]] [[Run back to the tunnel]]

Jeremy now realizes that by entering the trapdoor and walking down the staircase, he has subjected himself to something very foreign to him. He senses that this tunnel could contain danger of some sort, but he is unsure as to what it might be. [[Run back to the tunnel]]

When he arrives at the tunnel, he realizes that the tunnel has now split into 3 tunnels, each with different markings on the walls beside them. Jeremy is not able to understand the meanings of the markings, however they are each written in a different color. Yellow, Red, and Green. [[Take a moment to make a decision]]

Jeremy is now aware that the trapdoor he entered was not anything ordinary. He realizes that the things he is experiencing in the tunnel are not human, and he begins to wonder who or what was standing behind the tree before he went to investigate it. There are only 3 options for Jeremy at this point, and they are right in front of him in the three different tunnels. [[Enter the yellow tunnel]] [[Enter the red tunnel]] [[Enter the green tunnel]]

Jeremy begins to walk down the yellow tunnel, unsure of what's to come. As he walks through the tunnel, he begins to notice a silent whispering among his footsteps. [[Stop and listen]] [[Keep walking]]

Upon entering the red tunnel, Jeremy begins to hear the voices from earlier right away. He becomes uneasy, and begins to walk slightly faster than he was before. The voices get louder as he continues down the path. [[Stop to think for a moment]] [[Keep walking down the red tunnel]]

Jeremy decides to enter the tunnel labeled with green lettering. He walks for several minutes without discovering anything. He can hear the voice again, but this time he is able to understand what the voice is saying. "Turn around" is what he believes the voice is saying to him. [[Turn around]] [[Keep going down the green path]]

Jeremy halts immediately after hearing the voice, but right as he stops walking, the voice stops talking. Jeremy is very startled by this, so he continues walking. [[Keep walking]]

Jeremy has now walked about 200 steps, and has yet to see anything more significant than rocks scattered across the floor. He decides that he is not making any progress, so he stops to catch his breath. [[Catch breath]]

While he is getting his thoughts together, he notices something out of the corner of his eye. It is a human figure, no less than 5 feet away directly behind him. Jeremy begins to panic, but he does not want to look directly at whatever it is that's behind him. He does not want it to know that he is aware of its presence, so he continues walking the direction he was originally going. [[Continue on the same path]]

He walks another 50 steps or so until he hears the voice again, but this time the voice is coming from behind him. This time, Jeremy doesn't hesitate, he runs as fast as he can down the tunnel. He runs for about 5 minutes, until he is completely out of breath and decides to take a look behind him. While he is turning around, an ominous object appears to be lurking out of the shadows of the tunnel. It advances closer and closer to Jeremy, until it is about to come into contact with Jeremy's flashlight. It stops in its tracks right before Jeremy can identify exactly what it is, and stands in the same position for what seemed like an eternity for Jeremy. After lurking in the dark, the figure turns around and bolts down the other direction of the tunnel. Jeremy runs in the direction he was originally going. [[Keep walking on the same path]]

Jeremy is now beginning to lose sanity. He will need to escape this tunnel soon. He keeps walking through the tunnel, and eventually comes across markings in the stone walls. They are written in english this time so he is able to understand them. They read "4, 7, 5." Jeremy wonders what these numbers mean. He begins to have a glance of hope that he will be able to escape the tunnel eventually. His initial thought is that he should gather the rocks on the ground and place them into piles of 4, 7, and 5. [[Gather stones]]

Jeremy gathers enough stones to attempt his first escape plan. He places them across the ground in their piles according to the writing on the wall. He has no luck, and begins to think that he has the wrong idea as to what the numbers mean. While he is sitting on the ground brainstorming, he is able to hear the same voice, but this time it is laughing. Jeremy is now terrified, and he begins pacing back and forth in the tunnel. [[Stress]]

After pacing back and forth for a couple minutes, he realises that the voice laughing stopped every few times he would turn around. He continues pacing for several minutes and then realizes that the voice is stopping when he takes 4 steps pacing in one direction. It continues whenever he turns around again. Jeremy now realises that this has something to do with the numbers written on the wall. 4, 7, and 5 were the numbers written on the wall. [[Take 4 steps forward]]

After completing this series of steps, a passage opens to his right. Jeremy is very skeptical as to what this passage could lead to, but seeing as he just completed a task in order to open it, he sees it as the best option. He walks for about 5 minutes until he sees a light at the end of the tunnel. He begins to run toward the light, and upon arriving at the end of the tunnel he is presented with the same staircase he had seen earlier. [[Climb staircase to freedom]]

He reaches the top of the staircase, and he opens the trapdoor to escape as quickly as possible. Jeremy has now escaped the tunnel!

Jeremy stops to think about the situation he's found himself in. He knows that he will continue to lose sanity the longer he is down in the tunnel, so the urgency to think of a way out has reached an all time high. He has the thought that if he continues walking down the path he will eventually come across an exit, so he keeps walking. [[Keep walking down the red tunnel]]

Jeremy begins to jog along the path. He then is stopped by the voice again, but this time it seems to be very close to him. After stopping briefly, he continues jogging down the tunnel. Eventually, he is startled to come across a door in the side of the tunnel. Without any other viable options. He opens the door and walks inside. [[Enter door]]

Upon opening the door he sees a very dirty and scruffy old man sitting in a chair next to a massive bookshelf. The man says nothing, and this would seem odd to any sane person, but Jeremy has been down in the tunnel for a significant amount of time now, and he is beginning to lose sanity. He approaches the old man and asks him if there is any way out of the tunnel. The man says "I will show you the way" Very skeptical, he makes a decision. [[Follow old man]] [[Run away]]

At this point Jeremy is losing sanity at a very rapid rate, so he is hopeful that the man will show him the way to escape the tunnels. He follows the old man down a tunnel that opens in the wall of his cave. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, so Jeremy runs towards it. [[Run]]

Jeremy runs away, but the man speaks to him again. "Don't you want to escape" Jeremy does not know whether or not this old man will lead him to danger, so he waits in silence for a few moments. He then decides to go with the old man, as he is beginning to lose his sanity, and is running out of options. [[Follow old man]] [[Keep running]]

Jeremy continues running but after a few moments he is tripped by a wire on the ground. This triggers the walls surrounding him to begin closing in slowly. It is only a matter of time until he will be squished and become a victim of the labyrinth. This is the end for Jeremy.

Upon reaching the source of the light, he notices that it is the same staircase that he entered through. Incredibly relieved, he walks up the staircase. [[Go up stairs]]

Jeremy has escaped!

Jeremy is very startled by the voice, so he obeys what it is telling him. He knows that there are only 2 other options. The yellow tunnel and the red tunnel. He walks back to the fork in the path and makes his decision. [[Enter the red tunnel]] [[Enter the yellow tunnel]]

Despite the voice telling him to turn around, Jeremy persists on his quest to escape. After several minutes of walking, he comes to a dead end with no writing on the wall. Jeremy runs as fast as he can back to the start of the tunnels. Once arriving, he knows he only has 2 other options. [[Enter the yellow tunnel]] [[Enter the red tunnel]]

Jeremy decides to stop and rest for a moment. When he does this, the voice sounds like it's moving closer to him. He is beginning to go insane. However, he is still sane enough to realize that time is of the essence. After about 5 minutes of resting, he starts walking back to the start of the tunnels. Once he arrives, he sees the same tunnels that were there before. [[Enter the yellow tunnel]] [[Enter the red tunnel]]
