It's a beautiful morning in Toledo. Jeff has the Winnebago Rialta packed and ready. Sue has her map, her camera, and a list of every roadside attraction between here and the Pacific Ocean. Big Mac is vibrating with excitement in the back seat. Lucy is already hiding under the dinette table.
Route 66 stretches out before you — 2,690 miles to the Pacific — and then you have to drive back. Diners, deserts, neon signs, and adventure await. Jeff grips the wheel. Sue adjusts the GPS. The dogs are... being dogs.
"Let's get our kicks," Jeff says. Sue groans. Big Mac barks. Lucy whimpers.
