Ungrouped Data

  • Mean ($\bar{x}$): $\frac{\sum x}{n}$ (Arithmetic average)
  • Median Position: $\frac{n+1}{2}$
  • Mode: Most frequent value in the set
  • Skewness: Right (Mean > Median), Left (Mean < Median)

Grouped Data

  • Grouped Mean: $\frac{\sum fx}{\sum f}$ (where $x$ is midpoint)
  • Grouped Median: $L_m + \left( \frac{\frac{n}{2} - F_{m-1}}{f_m} \right) c$
  • Grouped Mode: $L_{mo} + \left( \frac{\Delta_1}{\Delta_1 + \Delta_2} \right) c$

Key Logic

  • Midpoint: $\frac{\text{Lower Limit} + \text{Upper Limit}}{2}$
  • Outliers: Affect the Mean significantly, but not the Median.
  • Symmetrical: Mean = Median = Mode.
