S.S. Annihilator

I begin my journey in my private room aboard The Magellan. Since humans left earth in 2090, I have been the ship's primary systems operator with the help of my childhood friend, Jasper. Life on the ship has been very slow lately... I wander outside to the common room of the ship, where I run into a robot who is deactivated. I am sure there is a way that I can activate it.. I will go look. [[Look in the common room -> CR]] [[Look in your room -> Your Room]]

I go into my room and notice that there is a shiny white bracelet that is (text-style: "blink")[blinking] blue. I activate my spaceband and notice the robot has rebooted and is running. “Hello, friend! I am EARL. It feels great to be online again! I see you have found your space band. This band lets you do things like gain access to other rooms, contact me for any hints or help, or get into the ships systems!” Then all of a sudden the emergency sirens begin to sound and I am called over the intercom to immediately go to the [[operations room-> Operations Room]]. <style> img { max-width:100%; max-height: 100%; } </style> <img src=https://as2.ftcdn.net/jpg/01/35/72/73/500_F_135727319_cGomY4St0KjuWTeT5yAdJjBnwbYQ8Szb.jpg </div>

I scan my spaceband to get into the operations room and Jasper is there, color drained from his face. "I don't know what happened, all monitors went black and then before I knew it I wasn't controlling the ship anymore. Our maps now say we are headed straight towards a black hole approximately 3 million lightyears away. (text-style: "shudder")[I have never felt so helpless!]" I have to do something.... [[Act on the situation and take a look at the systems?-> Take a look]] [[Go to the board of courtesy staff and ask what their advice is?->Courtesy Staff]] [[Tell Jasper to keep trying to figure it out while I call EARL for assistance.->Call Earl]]

I scan my spaceband to get into the system, but everything seems normal. [[Who-> Power Outage]] would be powerful enough to hack a database as big as The Magellan's?

I head up to the meeting room hoping the committee is there. The courtesy staff is frightened, and I ask them what to do. They suggest [[waiting-> Power Outage]] and see what happens and hope that we can fix it!

I call EARL and ask what is going on. EARL says there is something I should see and projects the ship’s outside cameras onto my band. Sure enough, out in the distance was a ship twice the size of ours. All of a sudden the power goes out and a deep distorted voice comes over the intercom. It is the commander of another ship that was said to be a myth, the SS Annihilator. He states that he is Sid Krauss, son of Roger Krauss, the kid who escaped the ship in 2100. [[I ask EARL for more information about Sid-> Sid]] [[I respond to Sid and ask what he wants-> Sid's Revenge]]

EARL explains that long ago when The Magellan was being thought of, there were stories that Sid’s father was tortured and forced to hand over his blueprints for a new ship that would change humanity. Ever since Sid was a child, he despised everything this ship stood for and decided to leave on his own after he figured out about his father. Now he is back and wants [[revenge-> Sid's Revenge]].

I learn Sid has come for revenge on the ship he once lived on. He believes there should be no more humans after what they did to his father. Since he left The Magellan he has dedicated his life to creating one twice as good and rule the galaxy. He has decided that The Magellan's fate will end by throwing it into a black hole in [[24 hours-> The Plan]].

As soon as Sid cuts the message it became complete madness. I knew I had to do something and do it quick, but what? You ask EARL what to do. I have two options: [[Go to the engineer and science labs to see the progress on the megagun. They have been working on a top secrete weapon that might be complete.-> Megagun]] [[Hack back into our ships system with the spaceband.-> Gain Control of Ship]]

I run to the Engineer and Science Labs to discuss the status of the top-secrete weapon. There is a code needed to get into the labratory but you don't know what it is. I start to search the area for any signs of a code to get in. I run back to the control room to try to hack back into our main systems and get The Magellan back on track. I look at my spaceband and scan it. A [[hacking page-> Hack]] comes up and I have to complete the puzzle to get into the main systems.

The puzzle is a maze that goes at it's own pace and I have to guide the small dot to connect the circuits together. I have as many tries as I need, but everytime I get it wrong, the maze changes. [[Get back The Magellan]]

This game is similar picking a lock. I have to figure out the right combination three times with a key on my spaceband to unlock the labratory. [[Get into Labs]]

Once inside the labs, I looked around for Dr. Stan, the head of Engineering, to ask about the weapon. "I don't believe it will be ready in time before Sid throws our ship into oblivion. I'm afraid there is nothing we can do..." [[ Gain Control of Ship]]

I have successfully hacked back into The Magellan's main systems! I think we are free from Sid's control. "I think we are receiving a call," says EARL. [[Answer-> The End]]

Over the radio we can hear Sid. He sounds very angry. "I see you have outsmarted me... I swear to you, THIS IS NOT OVER! You humans will pay for what you did to my father, and I will not stop until my job is done! I shall see you in the near future, beloved Magellan."

I look around the common room until I find a small tracking device in a package with my name on it. After following the device to the front of my door, I knew the spaceband had to be [[in there-> Your Room]].
