HULLSCRIBE APPLICATION AND OUTPUT LICENSE v1.0

1. APPLICATION LICENSE

Subject to these terms, the HullScribe project owner grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to run the unmodified HullScribe application for personal or commercial map-generation, tabletop, publishing, design, and creative work.

You may keep reasonable backup copies of the release package for your own use.

2. YOUR GENERATED OUTPUTS

Subject to rights you have in any names, text, settings, images, or other material you add, you may use, edit, reproduce, publish, distribute, sell, license, and sublicense maps and HullScribe project files you create with the application for personal or commercial purposes. Attribution to HullScribe is appreciated but not required.

This output permission applies to maps and project files you create. It does not grant rights to the HullScribe application, source code, release package, name, logo, interface, documentation, or other branding.

The HullScribe project owner does not claim ownership of original names, text, or other content you add to your project.

3. APPLICATION RESTRICTIONS

Unless applicable law gives you a right that cannot be limited by these terms, you may not:

- redistribute, resell, sublicense, mirror, or publicly host the HullScribe application or release package;
- present the application, code, interface, name, or branding as your own;
- white-label, sell access to, or make the application available as a competing hosted or downloadable product;
- remove or conceal copyright, license, attribution, or other proprietary notices from the application package; or
- use the HullScribe name or logo to imply endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship.

Written permission from the HullScribe project owner can authorize an exception.

4. USER RESPONSIBILITY AND THIRD-PARTY RIGHTS

You are responsible for the names, text, settings, images, and other material you add, and for how you use or distribute an output. This license does not grant rights to third-party trademarks, copyrighted settings, characters, franchises, confidential material, or other content.

HullScribe is not affiliated with or endorsed by any tabletop publisher, film, television, game, or science-fiction franchise.

5. NO PROFESSIONAL OR ENGINEERING RELIANCE

HullScribe creates fictional schematic maps. It is not naval architecture, spacecraft engineering, safety planning, building design, emergency planning, or a tactical simulation. Do not rely on it for real-world engineering or safety decisions.

6. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HULLSCRIBE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, DATA PRESERVATION, AVAILABILITY, OR COMPATIBILITY.

Browser storage is not a durable backup. You are responsible for exporting and preserving any project you need to keep.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE HULLSCRIBE PROJECT OWNER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR SUBSTITUTE SERVICES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO HULLSCRIBE OR THESE TERMS.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of Sections 6 or 7 may not apply to you.

8. TERMINATION

Your application license ends if you materially violate these terms. Sections 2 and 4-7 continue to apply to outputs created while your application license was valid, subject to the responsibilities and limits stated in those sections.

9. ENTIRE LICENSE

These terms state the permissions granted for the HullScribe application and generated outputs. No additional right is granted by implication. A separately signed written agreement can modify these terms.
