Support Floor

Online shifts require all four stations to be staffed. Practice mode is the only mode where one player can operate every console.

WebRTC gameplay traffic is encrypted in transit. The copy-and-paste invitation codes are temporary connection descriptions, not passwords.

How the shift works

Each call is a continuous relay. The alien repeatedly transmits new information, the Xenolinguist decodes it and tells the agent what to say, the Manual Specialist turns those clues into one repair directive at a time, and the Repair Engineer reports every completed operation back to the agent.

Support AgentKeep the alien calm, ask useful questions, read the team's reports, and choose the final resolution.
XenolinguistDecode every incoming transmission, then send the Support Agent an exact speaking cue. Your decoded clues also unlock the correct technical records.
Manual SpecialistUse decoded clues and engineer telemetry to locate the right manual, then dispatch each repair instruction only when the previous operation is verified.
Repair EngineerAct only on dispatched instructions, operate the ship controls, and explicitly transmit a completion report so the agent can tell the alien what changed.

In online play, any role may host the shift. The host coordinates the WebRTC connections but sees and operates only the station they selected. All four roles must be staffed.
