"You there! Can you please save me! They have been keeping me here for days!"
Thomas ignores the man and pretends to be picking his nails.

"Bloody hell, this is horrible. The heat is going to kill us before we can even make it to the end of this damned hall. This torture reminds me of the blokes I used to torture before I became king."

You and Thomas continue down the path, but stop when the spider is out of view.
"Good show! Bloody thing reminded me of my great Aunt Claire. Her beady little eyes always watching me like she wanted the throne for herself. Did away with her right quick."
[[Continue down the path]]
[[Question Thomas about his Aunt]]"Oh, yes, my cousin. Where to begin? Well he never could cook to save his life. I used to dread it any time he was in the kitchen. 'Try this, try that,' he would say. I couldn't take it anymore unfortunately so, I wacked him over the head with a skillet when he wasn't looking. I still say the head trauma he suffered was far better than the amount of people he disgusted with his horrible meals."

Why, she even spied on me during meetings with important diplomats! The nerve of her I say. That is why I couldn't wait to have her sent away my father's. I still think she was out to kill me."

[[Finish the hydra off]] You and Thomas exit through the large arena doors and out onto the dirt and gravel road basked in sunlight. The cool breeze is a delight across your body.

The princess places her hands on Thomas's shoulders. "I can't believe daddy would do such a thing."

[["Hell, I haven't even met him and I already hate him."]]"You got what you rightly deserved, you foul wanker," the princess says.
"She is correct, friend. You did come off rather strongly," Thomas says.
"So, why is it you know my name?" the princess asks.
[["That's Thomas. Your father locked him up."]] "He has his moments," the princess says. "Perhaps I could help you out though. There is a a secret passage from my room to the outside of the castle wall."
"That would be wonderful of you to let us use it, Beatrice," Thomas says.
"There is one problem, however. The way is blocked by a demon. A ghoul if you will. My father placed it there to ensure that nobody would be able to get up through the passage and harm me."
[["That won't be a problem!"]]
[[Persuade: "Would you give us something to help with the spirit?"]]The princess gets offended by your remark, "Well, if you hate him so much, how about we go talk with him?"
The princess pulls a cord attached to her bed which sets off a loud alarm. Before you know it, you are swarmed by guards that haul you off and take you to the king!
The king sits on his throne and glares at you menacingly. Five guards surround you and you can spot a ceremonial suit of armor with a sword and shield on the side of the room unprotected.
"So, you thought you could just escape my walls did you?" his voice echoes though the throne room.
"What do you have to say for yourself?"
[["We were wrongly imprisoned!"]]
[["Why was Thomas locked up?"]] In the moment of life and death you decided to run off and leave Thomas behind. You burst through the door of the castle wall and run out onto the road. The guards give chase but give up hope as you run off into the woods.

[[Grab a knife]] ]With the courage of someone with nothing else left to lose, you sneak up behind the griffin and plant a firm hand across it's backside. It springs awake and launches forward straight into the door on the other end of the room. The door falls to pieces and the trap is sprung. The griffin on the other hand is knocked out entirely.
"Well, if that ain't a way to do it!" Thomas says. "Way to go! Almost reminds me of a woman I once laid with an enormous rear that was utterly bodacious, but I'm sure you don't want to hear about that. Onward we go!"
[[Onward!]]
[[Question Thomas about his sex life]]You go through the door and up the winding stairs on the other side. Near the top you hear a beautiful voice singing a song of old. While you haven't heard this voice before, it is intoxicating. As you reach the top of the stairs the singing gets louder and you can make out the words of freedom. The door sits slightly ajar and sunlight basks the room on the other side.

Nobles and slaves just don't mix." Thomas's eyes grow sad and a tear falls onto his cheek.
"If only I could go back in time, I would take her away somewhere beautiful like we used to talk about. But I can't keep thinking about it. Onward we must go if we want to escape."
[[Onward!]] As the griffin flies towards you, you throw the steak that you stole from the kitchen off into the corner of the room. The griffin stops immediately and scrambles for the steak. It gobbles it up quick, but its back is turned!
