You're always behind the wheel. In Free Roam, the whole city is yours to explore — take any route, any speed. In Circuit Racing, follow the track, complete your laps, and beat the AI to the line.
Swapping between the two is instant and mid-session — no long menus. Use the mode keys (see Controls) to drop into free-roam driving or launch into the racing circuit anytime.
Your car runs on fuel, and it's a real resource — don't run dry. Keep an eye on your gauge as you explore and race. Manage it wisely: burning fuel hard in a sprint feels great, but leaving yourself stranded across town does not. Plan your drives, refuel when you can, and the city stays open to you.
Lapper3 plays best on an Xbox controller, and full keyboard support is there too.
