Who is Moss?

Moss is Lanternfolk’s tiny story-sprite mascot. Moss offers writing nudges, but is not a chatbot or AI assistant.

What is a Village Charm?

It is a “seed”: a short code used by the generator. The same charm, setting, and mood rebuild the same base village.

What do keeps do?

Tap a diamond to keep a resident or detail while rerolling. Changing the setting releases all keeps; changing the mood releases residents and the shared problem so the result stays coherent.

How do I keep an exact version?

Save it in this browser or download JSON. Importing that JSON later restores edits and kept combinations exactly.

Privacy

Lanternfolk works locally. It has no account, tracking, cloud storage, or network connection. Browser saves remain on this device until browser data is cleared.

Can I use the ideas?

Yes. Generated villages may be used and adapted in personal or commercial creative projects. The app and its content tables may not be redistributed.
