You wake up to the sound of your alarm clock. You grab your phone off the nightstand and notice it must have updated itself overnight. It is prompting you to enter info you are sure you have entered before, the update must have reset the system.

The system boots up and displays the time. It is (current-time:) and you realize that you really should have left already. You quickly get dressed and run downstairs to the car and start your drive to [[work.->Work]]
You arrive at 387 Talot Drive. The low-rise building in front of you has a large sign at the gate which states “Federal Government of Malandia."
Your level of security clearance affords you express treatment as you are quickly waived through the gate. The security guards would not dare stop something (mouseover-replace: "thing")[one] like you.
You waste no time entering the building and you make your way to your [[office.->Office]]
You reach your office door and notice the new bronze plaque fixed directly below the frosted window. It reads "$name , Chief Operator, [[**D.O.D.**"->InOffice]]
Something is different today. It can't be the first day jitters of a new job, you have been here two weeks now, and that is more time than you should need to get comfortable.
Still, there is a tension in the air that you feel as you sit down behind your desk. What could it be that is bothering [[you.->knock]]
“Good morning” says an attendant as he enters the room, “I don’t mean to rush you but we have a lot on our plate today.”
His face looks tense. His hair sits dishevelled on his head and his clothes are wrinkled. His eyes are fixed on yours and you recognize a distinct urgency in their gaze.
“I know you just got in, but we have to get to work right away. I’ll head back out to my desk and let you get started with todays decisions.”
The attendant places a USB key on your desk and turns to leave. You insert the USB key into your computer and it initiates a secure virtual handshake and boots up the program that allows you access to the [[tasks->Task1]] of the day.
