You have 60 seconds.
Make as much profit as possible.
A two-round market game about outwitting yourself.
ROUND 1 — YOU ARE THE TRADER
The market moves on its own. Your job is to buy low and sell high to earn profit. Every trade you make is recorded — timestamp and action — and locked in for Round 2.
ROUND 2 — YOU BECOME THE MARKET
The exact same market re-runs. But you no longer trade. Instead, a copy of your Round 1 self (Past You) will make every trade you just made, at the same seconds. You control what price they see. Push the price to trap them: make them buy expensive, sell cheap.
THE FOUR ACTIONS
BUY B
Round 1 only
Spend cash to acquire 1 unit at the current price. You now own it. Profit comes if you sell later at a higher price.
SELL S
Round 1 only
Sell 1 unit at the current price. If you own none, this opens a short — you profit when the price falls and lose when it rises.
PUSH ↑ ↑
Round 2 only
Costs Influence. Adds temporary upward pressure on price. Fires when Past You is about to BUY — force them to buy expensive.
PUSH ↓ ↓
Round 2 only
Costs Influence. Adds temporary downward pressure. Fires when Past You is about to SELL — force them to sell cheap.
KEY MECHANICS
- Same market both rounds. Prices are pre-generated at Round 1 start and re-used in Round 2. No new randomness.
- Push is temporary. Every PUSH bumps the price by a fixed amount, then decays over ~2 seconds back to the baseline. It cannot permanently shift the market.
- Past You is bound to your recording. They will BUY/SELL at the exact seconds you did — but at whatever price you make them see.
- Influence regenerates slowly. Save it for moments right before a Past You action.
HOW YOU SCORE
Final Score = Your Round 1 profit + Past You’s loss.
Trading well earns points. Damaging your past self earns points. Both matter.
QUICK TIPS
- Watch the PAST YOU TIMELINE at the bottom — ▲ is an incoming BUY, ▼ is an incoming SELL. Markers pulse when the action is within 1.5s.
- Push just before a marker crosses NOW. Push too early and the effect decays away.
- Round 1 style matters: more trades = more manipulation targets in Round 2.
