Earn DNA by eating, growing, breeding, and infecting. Spend it in Evolve to add or remove cells one at a time.

Plants soak up sun with leaves and soil with roots. Fruit feeds animals, who carry your seeds off and feel your fruit's effects.

Animals eat with beaks (plants) or jaws (meat and eggs). Moving burns stamina. When it runs out you crawl, so lie down to rest. Where you rest shapes your body clock: nap by day and your line turns nocturnal. Offspring come from eggs, which hatch after a short wait. Guard them from predators.

Belly and water: what you eat fills your belly and digests into energy and DNA, leaving waste behind. Once waste fills your belly you cannot eat until you poop (P). Animals also get thirsty: drink by walking into a puddle. Showers come every few minutes and refill the puddles. A Water Sac lets you go longer between drinks.

Health drains when your energy or water runs out. Below a quarter you start to wobble, and if it hits zero you roll over. Eat and it comes back. Bitten-off parts, cracked shells, and broken spikes all grow back.

Microbes are tiny. Steer your drifting cloud into an animal before it dries out. Inside a host you paint traits onto it and earn DNA. Every half minute its immune system fights back: win and a new cloud bursts free. A fungus instead anchors to damp ground as a patch that grows and throws spores; creatures catch it by touch, by spore, or by eating it.

Biomes matter. Cold peaks punish bare leaves and thin skin. Deserts bake anything that cannot hold water. Jungles and swamps are rich, and full of microbes.

Strange mutations are rare. They let plants grow animal parts and animals grow plant parts.
