The Rites of Absteros

Draw cards and push your total toward 666 without going over.
The deck runs heavy. Every card carries a large value, climbing from 66 and 77 all the way up to 188 and the dreaded 199.
The Wisp counts as 66, but it will soften to 6 if that is the only thing keeping you from going over.
The Warden keeps drawing until it reaches 555 or more. Push the Warden past 666 and the Warden falls.
Blood Pact is your double down. Double the wager, take one more card, then hold. You can only call it on your first two cards.
Land on exactly 666 and the Beast rewards you with triple your wager.
Beat the Warden and you double your souls. Tie and you get your wager back. Go over 666 and it is all forfeit.
In Experimental mode, card values are hidden. Trust the names and your memory.
After each hand, the Bazaar opens. Buy upgrades or accept debuffs.
Controller: X cycles your bet step, D-pad left/right wagers.

⚜ The Bazaar

The Ledger Is Closed

Your souls are spent. The Warden gathers the cards, and the candles gutter out.
