# Bramblehop Adventure HTML5 showcase v1.1.2

This is the separate public preview. It contains exactly the original 229 ready individual PNG frames/stills, the original public catalog and maps, and the updated browser inspector. It does not contain the buyer's 122 state strips, 21 full-resolution source PNGs or paid ZIP.

`index.html` is at the archive root. For local review, extract it and run `python -m http.server 8000 --bind 127.0.0.1`, then open `http://127.0.0.1:8000/index.html`.

The public catalog preserves the original 122 animation records and source FPS. Strip metadata remains for correspondence with the buyer archive; unavailable strip links are hidden. The derived `asset-manifest.json` reflects this public catalog and does not add the buyer-only images. Original public viewer source is retained under `release-history/v1.1.1/`.

## Animation inspection

Choose **Animation stage**, then Actor, Direction and State. All 11 actor roles and all 122 authored state groups are available. There are 27 multi-frame clips and 95 single-frame held poses. Bram is the display name for the unchanged `courier` identifiers; older documentation calls this character Pip. Small enemies have only their supplied left-facing artwork. No opposite-facing or diagonal frames are synthesized.

Pause holds the current frame. Previous frame, Next frame and the Frame slider pause and clamp within the clip. Replay starts a multi-frame clip from its first frame. Actor, direction and state changes retain your pause preference. Playback speed ranges from 0.25× to 2×. The readout names the current frame, source path, source FPS, frame canvas and pivot. Single-frame states remain held poses and have no playable motion.

Multi-frame inspection repeats using the source FPS. This looping is viewer policy: the original animation rows do not specify loop flags, combat phase durations or automatic next states. Frame duration is derived as 1000 / FPS; no rounded duration replaces the source FPS. This viewer does not certify combat timing. The separate existing playground and boss arena retain their original schedules and physics.

Canvas scale is measured in the 960 × 540 logical stage. The whole canvas fits its available CSS width, so 1× does not promise one physical screen pixel per source pixel. Fit, 1× and 2× preserve the supplied pivot. Light background / Dark background changes the stage inspection panel and gallery cards. Pagination limits the number of cards on the page; every state remains reachable.

The inspection clock excludes hidden-tab time. Returning to the tab preserves the selected pause preference. Background motion retains the existing initial reduced-motion preference and its separate toggle. The frame readout is visual text rather than a live-region announcement on every animation frame.

## Loading and recovery

If `asset-data.js` is missing, empty or invalid, the viewer stops and names the catalog problem. Restore that file from the same archive, then select **Reload viewer**. The viewer rejects absent or invalid source FPS instead of inventing a duration.

If a PNG fails, the error names its path. The selected canvas clears instead of displaying an earlier frame as the failed one. Restore the named PNG, then choose **Retry missing images**. Local HTTP serving is recommended for consistent browser loading. No asset is downloaded from an external service.

## Source contract and limits

Hero and small enemy actor canvases are 64 × 64 with pivot (32, 60). Boss actor canvases are 128 × 128 with pivot (64, 124). Source metadata remains authoritative. Artwork is unchanged. Single-frame windup, strike, hurt and defeat states are poses, not newly authored motion. Hero attack artwork is not included. Backgrounds are whole opaque scenes; terrain is decorated modular blocks rather than a seamless autotile set.

The original artwork manifest remains version 1.1.0. The original usage license remains version 1.1.1 and is preserved verbatim. Package/viewer version 1.1.2 identifies this usability update; it does not relabel the original source data or grant new rights. No MIT license has been added.

Current checks cover the asset inspector, source correspondence and retained source routines. Existing playground/arena routines and five map layouts are preserved. Their historical QA report remains historical evidence. This update does not claim a new gameplay, native-engine, Windows export or Bramblehop Full review.

See `VERIFICATION.md` for the focused browser/source review and its limits. The exact pre-release documents and checksum list are retained under `release-history/v1.1.2-candidate.1/`.
