An independent fictional life simulator by 1in8b. Not affiliated with 1in8b.life. No source organisation endorses this game or its interpretations.

The game's scenes, card art and four art styles are drawn by its code; the soundtrack and sound effects are synthesised by its code. No stock photos, recordings, celebrity likenesses or third-party game sprites are included. Game code, writing and translations were developed with AI assistance. Copyright in the game's original material is reserved; third-party material retains its own licences below.

Data and adaptations

Data are selected, rounded, converted to probabilities and combined with fictional names, events and game assumptions. Years differ between sources. Missing indicators use marked estimates or peer proxies; statistics describe populations, not an individual's destiny.

This portal edition excludes the optional WHO Global Health Estimates cause-of-death dataset and does not display a statistically drawn specific cause of death. The main lifespan simulation uses UN WPP life tables. The licence of the original WHO source workbook has not been independently matched to the separate data.who.int licence.

Numerical method

The income model uses Peter J. Acklam’s published inverse normal CDF approximation (2003). Its mathematical coefficients are third-party work. See the algorithm reference.

Privacy and saves

This edition has no account, purchase, advertising or game analytics requests. It stores the current life, settings and recent life summaries in this browser when storage is available. The hosting platform may process its own technical data under its own policy.
