Online Safety Narrative Map

There 2 paths available in this Narative Map. One of them takes it from the perspective of you being a student trying to stay safe online and the other on from the perpective of a young detective prodigy investigating a kidnapping of a student by going through the online history of the student and find out what happened to her and if she gave her information to any unscruplous invidividuals on the internet. You just came home from school and can't wait to play the new online game everyone in school was talking about. You pick up your [[Laptop to try out the new game]] [[Phone to see the messages you have]]

Still working on the introduction for this but the flow will be the same as the student just with a back story of you being a young prodigy Online Safety Detector working with the Bureau of Online Safety and you have been called to solve the case of a kidnapped child so you must go through the childs online history to find out how and why the kidnap happened. You have to create a new account in order to play the game. [[Create a new account]]

You get a message from your friend Joshua asking if you have tried the new game everyone was talking about. [[Yes, you've tried the new game]] [[No, not yet]]

You create a new account by entering your new username and password. Immediately after creating your account an Ad-pop up appears on your screen with the caption to spin and win. [[Click on Ad]] [[Deny and ignore Ad]]

Joshua excitedly asks you for your highscore [[Tell him your score]] [[Tell him you lied and that you havent played the game yet]]

Joshua sends you the link for the game which opens a new link on your Laptop. You move to your laptop and [[Create a new account]]

There is some flashy animation on the screen and you are told you have the opportunity to win a brand new phone and all you need to do is to click and spin the wheel of fortune. [[Spin the wheel of fortune]] [[You decide to deny the wheel of fortune]]

You ignored the ad and you are now on the main menu of the game, you decide to [[Play the game]]

Uh-oh the spin button was actually a download button for a malicious software which ended up destroying during the gameplay and rendered your Laptop useless Never click on any ads or promotions for products that you cannot verify, a good rule of thumb should be "if its too good to be true then it must be a scam" At least you didnt get important or private information stolen from you Lucky you [[Game Over Start Over|Welcome to the Nubian VR Narrative Map Online Safety Demo]]

You didn't trust the offer and decided to ignore the wheel of fortune and go back to [[Play the game]]

You complete the first round of the game and you are placed third right behind your friend Joshua and some other random person Whiles planning on how you would part take in a little friendly rivalry with your friend and try beat his highscore you get a friend request from an unknown person. You [[Read the message]] You [[Ignore the message]]

After you accept the friend request you get a message in your inbox from the person you just accepted the friend request from. [[Check your chats]]

You had no luck beating Joshua's score so you decide to [[Try one more time at Joshua's score]] [[Read the message]]

You open your chatbox and the message is from an unkown player, he tells you how impressed he is with his skills and tells you he has a cheat that can help you beat the game easily. He leaves the link to the website to get the cheats [[Click on the link for cheats]] [[Try one more time at Joshua's score]] [[You decide to go on your phone for any messages or text Joshua|You tried the game]]

You decide to ignore the unknown message and continue your plot of overtaking your friend Joshua from the score board. [[Try beating Joshua's score and fail miserably]]

You click on the link and you are taken to a site to download a file, you download and install the file and you try the game one more time. [[Try the game one more time|Try the game again and easily beat the game ]]

You tell him your score and he laughs at you for sucking at the game and challenges you to defeat his score if you can [[Try beating Joshua's score and fail miserably]] [[Go back and use the link to help you improve in the game|Click on the link for cheats]]

He laughs at you and tells you that you really have to try it, and continuous ranting about how incredible the game is whiles leaving you a link to [[Create a new account]] on your Laptop.

You easliy finish the game and set a new world record in the game. Your score is way better than Joshua's score and you are now the number one player in the world. Another message comes through and you [[Happily open the message]]

Its from the same guy who sent you the link for the cheats, he is impressed with your skills and begins to shower praises on you for being a real prodigy in the game so early. You thank him for the kind words He then tells you that you should update your in-game biography now that you are the world number 1 people would like to know who you are and you might even have an opprtunity to turn your skills into a career. He gives you the link to edit your profile [[You happily oblige and click the link to edit your profile]]

In the profile editing page you are faced with updating with Only [[Relevant Information]] for the site like your name, games you like and your profile picture [[Everything about you]], your location, your age, your favorite games, your mobile number etc

You did the right thing and gave only the relevant information required for the site but unfortunately you had already downloaded a virus infused file which ended up collecting private and sensitive information and crashing your computer afterwards You ended up losing a lot, but at least you didnt lose your life Lucky You [[Game Over Start Over|Welcome to the Nubian VR Narrative Map Online Safety Demo]]
