The first stage of the character creation screen allows you to select a Class or Character. Each module will use
either Classes or Characters, but not both. If the module uses predefined characters, then this is really the only
choice there is to make. If it uses custom characters (e.g. classes), then the next stages will have more choices for your character.
Select a Class or Character by clicking on it.
For custom characters, the next stage allows you to enter your character's name, text replacers, and ability. Once you are satisfied with your
chosen values, you can click next to go on to the next stage. Clicking back will allow you to choose a different Class.
The last stage is the confirmation stage, which lets you view your created character's name, gender, avatar, status,
skills, etc. Clicking the "Status" or "Skills" buttons will open a popup containing information about your character.
Click "Back" to go to the previous stage or select "Confirm" to finalize your character and proceed to the module home page.
Abilities provide various bonuses and penalties to player characters. These are more than just stat changes: they affect various mechanics and systems in different ways.
If the module uses Classes, then it may have various custom descriptors that you can choose the values for at creation time. For example, one might be "Hair Color," where you could input "black." Then whenever the module wants to reference your character's hair color, it will remember and use this value. Not all modules have these.
