Action Requirements

The player's stats need to surpass the "Stat Rolls" of an Action to be able to choose it. For example, if an Action has a 5 in Physical Strengh for the "Stat Rolls" section, then the player needs to have an effective Physical Strength of at least 5 before he or she can choose the given Action.

The only exception is the Luck stat. When the specified Luck for the "Stat Rolls" is greater than 0, then a random number between 0 and the maximum luck (currently fixed at 100) is chosen. Then the player can choose the Action if the random number is less than the sum of his or her effective Luck and the Luck roll. As an example, if there is an Action with a Luck roll of 15 and a player with 20 effective Luck, then a random number (X) will be chosen between 0 and 100. The Action will be available if X is less than 35 (approximately 35% of the time).

Some Characters and Classes cannot access certain actions. For example, the Action "Pray at Athena's Altar" may be inaccessible to the "Viking" class.

Some actions require specific items to be in the player's inventory. "Open cell door" may require the "Cell door key," for example.

The "Free" and "Restrained" sections determine which areas are required to be in a certain state of restraint. The player might need to have his or her mouth restrained to "Remove gag", or his or her hands might need to be free to "Untie the countess."

Seeing Actions

The only way to see Actions unavailable to your player is to check the module data via its file or to open it in the creation tools. This is also the only way to check a specific Action's requirements.
