A determined teenager, Jada, walks vibrantly through the crowd with a flyer in her hand. She approaches Shia, her bestfriend and says " Another shot at getting out of the hood for good!"
Shia skims through the flyer, smirks, and then responds, "Ten competition, ten losses. I'll pass."
Jada sucks her teeth. "Winners never quit, and quitters never win."
"We're stuck in Brooklyn. And that competition is not a guarantee.
"Once we make it, we can tell the world our story. We can motivate others to do the same."

Quan nods his head. "Anything for my queen."
Jada gives him a big hug. She uploads her music from iTunes, and Quan starts dancing on the ground, twisting and twirling. Jada tries to mimic him, and then they start practicing, but Quan's moves get a little difficult.
Quan says, "Stop thinking to hard. Slow down, you got this."
Jada's breathing heavy as she replies, "Okay, from the top." She takes her time and let it flows while her body twists and twirls on the ground. She blushes when she gets it. "I couldn't have done it without you. Thanks babe," Jada says as she smiles.

She pauses the video and does the belly dance. Shia does the dance differently.

They hug and smile.

Jada starts dancing in formation. Quan does the moonwalk as he moves his body in a ticking motion. Jada mimics him to perfection.

Jada replies, "Got to go hard, or I will never leave Brooklyn."

Jada rolls her eyes up, "Me either."
They work in formation, day in and day.

Jada does the belly dance. She Wines her body to the floor, face facing the stage and does the crybaby dance. Jada hand dance lands a hard fall.
Judge Tosha asks Jada, "What is your inspiration when you dance?"
Jada's face saddens as she expresses,"Every night I go home, tired after hours of dancing but not able to sleep comfortably in my bed because I have to share it with my four siblings, inspires me to dance until I bring proverty to an end."
The crowd cheers.
Judge LeSean explains, "Jada, dancing is like dreaming with your feet. Every step was on beat. I want to learn those funky moves?"
Jada smiles and does the heel toe dance.
Judge Rick says, "Dancers should always be on point. There's no room for mistakes, and I saw quite a few. You feIl off beat during your angular twist. Work more on balancing your body. Remember, practice until you can't get it wrong. Better luck next time, Jada."
Jada has tears in her eyes when she replies, "Thank you all for this opportunity. I'll take everything into consideration."

Jada, Quan, Shia, and Moshae, call their dance group, "The Elite Feet and Glowing Heat Crew." They'll compete against some uppity kids from that neighborhood called the "Dazzlers," for $400.
During the competition, the crowd get hype. Jada's crew win.
One of the Dazzlers, Zariah, throws a flyer at them and yells, "Lets see if you bums have enough talent to win the competition."
Jada walks up to Zariah and says, "I beat you today, and I'll beat you again."
Zariah's forehead creases. "I hope you have some better clothes when you attend."
Jada smirks, holds up the money, and responds, "I'm going to use the money I just took from you and buy some."
Quan stutters, "Uhhh, this is a female thing, so my $100 have nothing to do with it."
Moshae says, "That'll make $200."
Zariah responds in a serious tone, "I knew you bums will chicken out."

Moshae says contently, "I'm a street figure. Someone who will be always called a nigga, and I'm good with that."
Shia looks down as she says. "Facts. Can't keep falling in the same ole traps, but I'll dance with my bestie."
Think twice before you [[Team up]]
Go hard and [[Go Solo]] Jada, Shia, Quan, and Moshae enters the subway and freighthop. A hefty cop chases them through the subway. Jada and her crew get on the 'A' train and the doors close before the cop gets to them. They laugh at the cop as the train takes off.
Jada and her crew walk through the carts until they get to the end. Quan takes the speaker and bowl out of Jada's bookbag.
Jada faces the people on the train and yells, "We are having a fundraiser for our dance group called, "Elite Feet and Glowing Heat Crew. Any donations will be appreciated. Lets get it!"
Quan connects the phone to the wireless speaker. He plays the hip hop beat they created loudly. Jada and Shia wind their heads in circles. Quan and Moshae come behind them, and they start two stepping in a duo coordination.
An unknown Latino lady, Catalina, gives Jada a flyer that reads, "Level Up for a chance to spend/save $20,000 plus travel the world and explore other opportunities and prizes.
Catalina says, "Talent like you all shouldn't go to waste." The train stops, and she gets off. Jada's donation bowl has lots of money in it, and they get off with huge smiles. When they walk out the subway station, a cop awaits outside for them.
Jada and the crew eyes widen. The cop walks over to them. Instead of him taking them to the precent, he writes them a sitation because they are under 18.
Shia sobs as she explains, "Our lives are never going to change. We are worthless and this paper proves it."
Jada nose crinkles as she yells in Shia's face, "Yes, we are poor, and yes, we break the law because we have no choice. If we give up now, we all will look like the Brooklyn clowns."
