[[Start|Title page]]Roy pushes his covers to the side and start's to walk to the door.
*Creak* He stops.... All he can hear now is his heavy breathing. Roy knows that if his father heard him his is in trouble.
Nothing..... he continue's to walk forward until he reaches the door. It's an old door, with splinters and rotting wood.
Roy put's his ear to the door, he hear's faint footstep's in the distance and then a sound of a door closing.
It could be his father is headed to work. Most night's Roy's father works at a chemical plant, dad's always tired and angry.
Roy is afraid of his father, he take's a step back from his door.

Moldy, smelly, and falling apart. *Roy signs*
"I hate my room," he murmur's under his breath in hope's his father won't hear him.
There is no sign of any toy's or color's, or anything else that would suggest this was a child's room. The only possesion Roy has is a notebook.
He looks over to his clock 10:47 p.m., his father should be headed to work soon.

He takes a few steps out the door, it's a different scent now. A mixture of smoke, old wood, and saltwater. Roy notices a window, he can almost see the oceanside that is outside his house.
Roy notices that his little brothers door is open as well on his left. No doubt thats where Mom is as well.

[[Listen. Try to hear if your father has left for work yet.|Listen option]]Roy picks himself up out of bed, his floor boards creaking as he travels to the door. Taking one last look around his room, he recognizes his notebook sitting on the floor by his bed.
"I don't remember leaving you there..." Roy gather's the notebook, curious as to why it is on the floor. Roy always sleeps with a blank notebook underneath his pillow.
It is the only possession that Roy has, he hopes to one day have a pencil so he can draw in his notebook. *Roy begins to remember the fall*
Every morning, Roy has stared out his living room window to watch the other children gathering for the local schoolhouse. He's seen them with book bags, colored pencils, and notebooks filled with drawings. Roy desperatly wants to be included with the other kids, but his father and mother will not allow it.
"School never got me anywhere, hard-work is how you make it in this world," Roy's father has etched those words in the back of his mind.
Roy shakes his head, steps back over to his bedroom door and opens it.
*Creak* A slow screech lets out as the door releases. Roy stares into the living room...
[[Go over to the window. |Window 2]]

It's dark. Roy is used to the dark and can still see. It smell's as though the wood is rotting on the wall's.
It's late but Roy cannot sleep any more. *Rumbling*
Roy reaches down and touches his stomach, it has been a while since he has eaten anything.

Silence fills the room. There isn't any usual creaking that he is used to hearing. *Roy is frigthened by this.*
"I don't want to be here," Roy though to himself. The room smells of mold and decay.

[[Call out for someone.|Shout option]]
[[Try to get some sleep.|Sleep option]]Roy begins to open his mouth..... No word or noise comes out.
Roy does not wish to yell because he knows nobody will answer, and he doesn't want to make his situation worse.
He does not wish to stay in his room any longer...
[[Leave the room|Leave room option]]Roy feels the sudden urge to escape his room, and brave whatever may lie on the outside.
He makes a motion towards the door and begins to jiggle the handle. *tick*
"Locked..." he mutters. "Dad must've locked me in."
Some night's, to make sure Roy stays asleep his father locks the door to his room. It is a one-way lock, Roy cannot unlock the door he must find another way out if he is to escape the unpleasantness of his room.
Roy looks around he has planned a few escape routes. In the corner of his room is a loose floor board, it travels under the house and goes all the way to his brother Appavi's room.
There is also an air duct by his bed that crosses the living room, Roy could exit there, however the air duct extends into the ceiling the fall may be high.
[[Pass through the air duct.|air vent]]
[[Lift up the floor board and crawl through the underpass.|crawl space]]Roy gets up and searches for any scraps of food that might be laying around. Empty bags, rotting apple cores, and other various pieces of garbage is all he can find.
*Rumbling* Roy's hunger is worsening.
[[Eat one of the apple cores|Apple option]]
[[Leave the room.|Door option]]
[[Call for your Mom.|Shout option]]Roy winces at the apple core, it looks as though there is potentially maggots around the fruit.
Roy plug's his nose and devours it quickly. It is not crunchy and sweet, usually how an apple is, it is a soft, a puss-like quality, with bits that are hairy and bitter.
Roy is unfazed, his stomach begins to disagree with the discarded fruit. His whole body begins to scrunch, in and out as if he was a paper bag being blown into repeatily.
He closes his eyes and hopes his pain ends. This lasts for several minutes until his body finally relaxes, the taste of the apple still in his mouth. Roy regrets his decision.
[[Induce vomiting to get the apple out of your system.|Vomit option]]
[[Leave the room.|Door 2 Option]]Roy pushes on his stomach rather aggresivly. He then put's pressure on his throat, he thrashes himself around trying to get rid of the apple.
Finally he begins to spit up the apple, at first salvia is the only the that exits, but then bits apple begin flowing out like sludge.
Roy begins to cry from the pain that he feels while he is still vomiting. The vomit is falling between the cracks and all that is leftover is partially digested rotten apple pieces.
His cries fill the room, as his finishes throwing up the bad apple. All Roy can hear now is his own heavy-breathing. Tears run down his face, he senses the foul taste of his own vomit.
It is over now. Roy now feels weak. He looks down at his throw up, it smells profane, the room is now even more unbearable.
[[Leave the room|Door 1 Option]]Feeling weak, Roy shambles to the door. He starts to feel shaky.
Roy tries to grab the doorhandle but is too senile to get it open. He drives himself into the door, pounding on in vigorously, praying it will open for him.
He gives up and falls to the ground, and ready's himself for the long jaunt back to his bed. He rises and begins to tramp back towards his bed, all he hears is his odd pattern of footsteps as he is too frail to keep a steady pace.
*Click* Roy stops. He turns his head gradually. The door has opened by itself.
[[Walk out of the room.|Door opens itself]]
[[Continue towards the bed.|Creepy bed]]
[[Talk... maybe someone is listening.|call out]]Roy's eyes swell up as if he was going to cry from pure fear. He wipes his eyes and let's out a low grunt. *grunt*
As if he was telling himself to be strong. In his disarry, he changes his course towards the door. He advances into the doorway and looks into the living room. "Mom....... hello....," Roy tries to focus onto something, his body is still wobbly and delicate from the rotten apple. *rolling*
Roy turns his head on a swivel as he hears something rolling across the floor. He notices a red apple wheeling towards him, he takes a step back and the apple stops right in front of him.
This apple is a polar opposite from the one Roy ate earlier...
[[Eat the Apple and gain energy back.|eat good apple]]
[[Ignore the apple and progress into the living room.|Living room]]
[[Identify where the apple came from.|identify apple]]Feeling the need the pick up the pace, Roy stumbles over to his bed. Throwing himself into the bed and under the covers, Roy senses a presence has followed him into the room. He paints uncontrollably, with his eyes wide open, his pupils shaking.
*Groan* A beast-like sound protrudes at the end of his bed. Roy tries to hide his breathing. *Sniff* *THUD* *Thud* *thud*. The sound distances itself from Roy.
Whatever entered seems as though it has left... Roy uncovers himself, he is alone in his bed once again. Whoever opened the door and came in left the door open.
[[Leave the room.|leave room 2]]"Hello...," Roy gulps as that is the only word he can say in his weak state.
"............"
"M-M-Mom.....," Roy guessing it his mother acting up again.
"............"
"I'm going to bed Mom." Roy replying as if someone was speaking to him.
"Royyyyyyyy."
He says nothing, Roy allows himself to go completly numb.
[[Continue to talk to whatever is outside the room.|talk to it]]
[[Walk into the living room.|Door opens itself]]Roy's eyes are strained towards the window. He steps over to the widnow as if he was in a trance. Roy starts to experience visions as he walks closer to the window, the visions flash on and off, completly unaware of his surronding's Roy puts his hands on the window seal.
The vision is now completly visable, he recongnizes the sun beaming down on him. He hears children laughing and watches the other kids running on the coastline to the schoolhouse in the distance. His heart skips a beat and he longs to be with the other children. Roy puts his hand to the window and the vision is gone.
Tears run down his face *sniff*. Roy gets down from the window and turns back towards the living room.
[[Go to your brother Appavi's room|Brother room]]
[[Look around the living room.|Living room]]Roy sneaks over to his brother Appavi's room. Relaxing his body, he ventures closer and closer to the open doorway. Coming around the corner he stares into Appavi's bedroom. Mom is standing by the crib, carrying Appavi in her arms. Appavi's room is well-lit with night lights, Roy observes toys scattered across floor, building blocks, model trains, and teddy bears. "Poor Appavi, he doesn't know what's going to happen to him," Roy recalls his time as an infant. The day he turned three years old his father took away all of his toys and his room became grey and lifeless. "Welcome to the real-world son," he remembers his father uttering those exact words to him. *humming*
Roy's memory is intruppted... Mom is singing to Appavi. His eyes are closed, he is sleeping, in a dormant-like state. Roy knows that if his mother spots him out of bed he'll be in trouble.
Roy backs away until something catches his eye, in Appavi's room is a toy chest. Upon closer inspection Roy gazes at the pack of colored pencils in the chest. Roy's only possesion that he kept from his Father was an empty notebook. Sadly, Roy does not own a pencil. Every day he dreams of sketching in his notebook, he desires to have something in life he can enjoy.
[[Sneak past Mom and get the pencils.|sneak past mom]]
[[Back away from Appavi's room.|can't]]Considering his surrondings, Roy chooses to look around the living room. It is not very marvelous to behold, it's an old-style looking home. The place is a wreck, questionable stains, a stench so putrid it's harrowing, this house has been neglected.
Roy wanders into the living room. *Creak* *Creaaak* *Creeaaakkkkk*
The bellow of the floor boards lingers throughout the house. Roy is not quite sure what he wants to do, all he knows is he does not want to stay in his room any more. Roy scours around the living room and all the areas that surround him. Roy's home is two levels, when you enter through the front door you walk through a hallway that leads to the kitchen and living room, from there, several outlets/hallways are in front of you. His brother Appavi's room, Roy's room, Mom and Dad's room, the bathroom and the door to the basement.

No light can find him now. *Roy cries* "Why did I do this? It's just another nightmare I'll wake up soon." Roy says unconvincingly.
"Come on Roy, you grew up in the dark." Roy strengthen's himself.
He starts to make out shapes, like boilers, washers, dryers. Until he reaches the bottom of the stairs. Roy stands still for a minute, he signs....
"Please, whoever you are, can you help me?"
...........
"I need help!" Roy wishes something beautiful will answer plea.
"Yessssssss," a long groan lets out in the dark.
"I can help you, I can help your brother Appavi too...." the voice continues.
"Please, please help us we are mistreated here."
"You must give me your complete trust," the voice says.
"Where are you...., who are you?" Roy questions the source of this voice.
Just then Roy notices a crounched down figure in the corner of the basement, the walls around the figure scratched. It looks as though this person has been here a while.
"Show yourself, don't be afraid, it's ok," Roy says innocently.
*crack* The figures head twists rapidly, it raises itself off the ground and turns towards Roy. He begins to become uneasy.
The voice turns out to be a creature that stands over seven feet tall, he has long claw-like limbs for fingers, his feet resemble that of a beast. It has a skinny waste but a large torso. Around it's neck look to be the ears of small children, it's face stained with blood, jagged and missing teeth for a mouth. Long black hair that drapes over it's body. The skin grey and smoke coming out of it's body.
"W-w-w-what are you?" Roy says under his breath.
"I am your guardian angel, I've come to help you, I've seen you suffer long enough."
"How are you going to help?" Roy questions, sounding more optimistic, focusing less on the creatures apperance.
"I will take you away," the creature walks closer, shaking the house as it walks. "Far away."
"A place where your mother and father won't hurt you," the creature extends his lenghty arm out towards Roy. Roy feeling no remorse reaches out and touches the creatures hand.
The creature grabs him, a large white door that appear from nothing opens behind the creature. "Let us go..."
The creature walks with Roy towards the door until he stops. "Wait what about Appavi, I won't leave without him."
"Do not worry he is already there...."
They both stare into the beaming light from the doorway. "Where are we going?" Roy asks......
"The Underworld."
[[End.|End]]*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
The light turns off inside his parents room. *Thud* *Thud* *Thud* Roy hears heavy footprints headed towards the door. "What have I done....." Roy realizing he has sealed his fate. The door swings open and Mom glares down at him. She leans down to him staring him in the eyes.
"Your in troubleeeee." She grabs his ear and drags him back over to his room. Throwing him into his bed and leaning over him, she begins to not make sense, looking around the room. "Do you hear me you can't have him!!!"
"Mom who are you talking to..." Roy says scared and confused. Mom looks back over to him "You'll never escape."
Roy then hears a car screech, his fathers come back home. His mom lets out a demented smile that curls at the end of her cheeks. She quickly runs out the room screaming "Appa!"
Roy knowing he's in trouble, accepts that there is no escape from his mother and father, he lays in his bed still.
Dad bursts through the door like a hurricane, "Look at me boy," Roy with his head tilted down looks up at him. "You're never leaving boy, this is your life." Roy's Mom enters behind him holding Appavi, "Appa knows, he will never let it take you."
"Let who take me." Roy questions.
Dad covers his mouth, scrunchs his face together. "Don't speak it's name Am'ma!" Roy looks at his father and mother as they begin laughing. Roy and Appavi let out their cries. If only there was someone to save them....
[[End.|End]]*Appavi laughing*
The child fills the room with laughter, as if it had knew it was responsible to what had happened. Roy and Mom's lifeless bodies decorate the floor of Appavi's room.
All of a sudden, the bodies begin to float off the ground, like ragdolls they hang in the air. Appavi sit's up and stares at the pair of them. *Appavi laughter*
The bodies dance in front of Appavi, barren of any life. Then they flop to the floor. *Appavi laughter*
All the child can do is laugh..... at what he has done.
[[End.|End]]Roy smiles and takes off with Appavi in his hands. *Appavi laughing* He storms out the room and begins to look around, he runs over to his room first stumbling with Appavi in his hands. He sets Appavi down on his bed and reaches in his sheets and grabs his notebook, sticks in his shirt, grabs hold of Appavi again, and runs out.
Roy and Appavi find themselves in the living room, on the counter in the kitchen Roy can see where his Mom had put the pencil's. Roy and Appavi move towards them, they are too high for Roy to reach. Roy He looks to Appavi, "Do this for me brother!"
He sticks Appavi up to the pencils and Appavi begins to motion towards them....
Roy scanning around him notices his Mom now standing in her rooms doorway. "Royyyyy!!!" Wasting no time Roy pushes Appavi higher, he is close. Roy beginning to sweat he sees his mother running towards him. Appavi quickly grabs the pencils, and Roy travels into the kitchen to avoid his Mom. But there is no escape. Appavi and Roy have been cornered.
"What did I say about you being up this late Roy...... I'll have to teach you a lesson for scaring your brother."
As she gets closer the house starts to shake, she is completly unfazed by this as if were normal. Roy closes his eyes as she gets closer. *Appavi laughing* *cling* *crash* A block of knives fall around Appavi and Roy. Roy gets spooked and notices the knives.
"Get back to bed the both of you!!!!!" Mom scrambles towards both the boys. Roy seeing his oppurtunity, takes it. Roy puts Appavi down, grabs the knife and as his mother closes in on them sticks the knife out. Mom falls directly on it, piercing her heart. *gasps* She looks down where Roy had stabbed her and then back up at both of them again.
"Roy...... I love you." She falls to the floor with the knife sticking out of her, blood staining the area around them. *Roy exhails* He begins to cry, until Appavi crawls over to him and touches his leg *Appavi baby noise*. Roy knows that it is now over, the horrible mother is gone, and in the end he saw a flash of what she once was.
Saying nothing, Roy picks up Appavi. Both of them not making a sound, Roy shambles over to the front door, sticks up Appavi to open it and he does. The sunlight damages his eyes has he walks towards the ocean-side just outside his house. Roy and Appavi take a seat by the ocean, where the waves just barely tickle their feet. Roy takes out his notebook and pencils and begins to draw the sun and ocean, and in the ocean he draws a boat, in that both is Appavi, his mother, and him.
In the distance car noises can be heard pulling up to the house, and the fathers wails can be heard from all over the coast. *Roy signs*
"Appavi, we're free!" *Appavi laughter*
[[End.|End]]Roy prefers the safety of the air duct, he wanders over to the side of his bed. He reaches underneath the bottom of his bed and pulls out a screwdriver and commences to work on the screws of the air duct.
Slowly working out the first screw, Roy takes a while to get one out. He wants to make sure that he catches each one to make sure he makes no noise.
Once he gets past the first one, the next two are easy, he holds the grate in place and attempts the final screw. Gently turning the screwdriver he unscrews the final one, despite he careful behavior the final screw breaks, Roy hurries to catch the grate.
He drops all the screws, three of them make litle noise and roll to a hault. One screw rolls right between the cracks of the floor *cling* *cling* *cling*, Roy hears the screw fall all the way down the floors of his house until one final *clang*, "It fell on the boiler!" Roy panickly thinking to himself.
Stillness... this takes place for a few moments. *Thud*
Roy hears what seems to be a large object fall, or maybe someone stomping. He has never heard this before. *Thud*
The sound is closer this time almost as though it was moving. *Thud*
Roy drops the grate gently to the side and puts his head up. *Thud*
The sound is coming up to the living room just outside his door. *Thud* *Thud* *Thud* *Thud* *THUD* *THUD* *THUD*
Roy gets low and the noise stops, the noises stop right outside the door. Roy is frozen, he covers his mouth. *jiggle* *jiggle*
Roy sees the doorhandle begining to move and is immediatly terror-stricken.
[[Hide under the bed.|under bed]]
[[Go into the vent.|into the vent]]
[[Run and grab the doorhandle to keep whatever is outside the door away.|grab the doorhandle]]Roy's judgement tells him that the loose floor board is the safer of the two options. He approaches the corner and lifts up the floor board.
All he can notice is the dirt and a few bugs that are surviving beneath the roots of his bedroom. It is not the first time Roy has had to use the crawl space, so he hastily jumps in. Gazing back up he peeks his head over to the floor board, seizes it with both hands and drags it over, enclosing himself in.
With little moon light that is peering through the cracks of the floor, Roy can see where Appavi's room is. He begins his crawl, proceeding towards his brother's room. Dirt starts to form under his nails, the holes in his clothes widen, and his skin becomes murky from moist ground he drags himself over.
Ultimatly Roy reaches the bottom of Appavi's room. He puts his ear to the floor *baby's laughter*. He thens lifts one of the boards up lightly and peeks in the room.
Directly in front of Roy's vision is buiding blocks, teddy bears, and toy trains, "Poor fella, he doesn't know that when he gets older, Mom and Dad will throw all this away," Roy infers to himself. He peeks around the toys and looks towards the crib, and then glances around the room. "Mom isn't here?" Believing the coast is clear, Roy begins to climb out of the crawl space and cover it back up again. He feels much safer now being with Appavi.

[[Shout for Mom.|shout for mom]]Deciding to go into vent, Roy swiftly grabs the grate, slides into the channel of the vent and puts the grate in front of the opening. Roy is small enough where he can manuever inside. Roy rarely uses the vents, he is not familiar with the pathways that he must take to get to the living room.
Roy uses the air vents as a guide as to where he is in the house, he drags himself until he reaches a dead end that goes upwards pointing to the ceiling vents. Roy presses his limbs against the walls of the vents and ascends up to the top. He catches himself on the ledge inside ceiling ventilation shaft. There is a series of channels that lead into each of the room's, at this time Roy realizes where he is. Dead ahead is the living room, he inchs to the air vent above the living room. Looking down he realizes how far the fall is.
Roy's vision begins to become blurry. His heart beats at a brisk pace. He looks back to where he came, "I can't go back, it's too dangerous," Roy admits to himself.
He attempts to take the grate off thee ceiling with hands.... no good.
[[Jump on the vent.|jump vent]]

Whatever is outside the door tries harder to enter.*THUD* *THUD* *THUD* "Leave me Alone!!" Roy screams and closes his eyes.
The banging stops. Roy opens his eyes surprised. Nothing... No sounds. A hush falls over the room again. Roy takes a few steps back looking at the door as he does so. Figuring the ordeal is over, he twists back over to the vent and begins to walk back calmly. Suspecting that something is up, he reverses back towards the door. The door is now open.....

[[Move back towards the vent.|vent]]Roy slides underneath the bed, concentrating on the door as he does so. *Thud* *Thud* *Thud*
The thumping persists, anxious Roy covers his eyes and lays in wait for several minutes until the banging haults. A lull falls over him, as his pupils rattle in his eyes.
........ Roy is afraid, he must choose his next move carefully.
[[Attempt to open the door.|Leave room option 2]]
[[Go back to the vent.|vent]]Roy strolls over to the crib to check on Appavi. He looks through the bars of the crib to see that Appavi is still wide awake as he is. *Laughter*
Appavi laughs and smiles, Roy always enjoys being around Appavi, as he seems to be the only normal person left in the house, and thats including Roy himself. Appavi wriggle over to Roy and sticks his hand through the bars, Roy grabs his hand and assures Appavi that he is there with him.
"I'm here brother." Roy smiles.
"I don't want what happened to me to happen to you Appavi."
*Appavi looks puzzled*
"I want to leave just you and me! We'll go to the schoolhouse and live together there with the other children, we'll have a good life there."
*Appavi smiles* All of a sudden the bars of the crib appear to shake. The bars slide down, freeing Appavi. Roy is startled and confused as to how the bars went down by themselves. Beginning to suspect that something supernatural has happened, Roy squints at Appavi. *Appavi squints back*
The two of them understanding each other, Roy reaches out and grasps onto Appavi, carrying him in his arms. Roy turns and faces the door......
[[Run and escape with Appavi|Roy Ending]]Moving his eyes from left to right Roy scans the room. His eyes are drawn to the copius amounts of night lights and baby toy's. "I want to be a baby again," Roy says to himself.
When Roy was younger, he remembered his mother taking very good care of him. She would always mention that he was such a well-behaved child. The day she became distant, and unresponsive, Roy recalls not understading why this happened to her.
He relives that day regualry, "I still love you mom," Roy whispers.
[[Check on Appavi now.|check with appavi]]"MOM!!" *Appavi laugh's*
........ No Answer. "She must be sleeping somewhere," Roy starting to talk at a louder volume. Mom can sometimes doze off in some strange places, Roy wonders where she could be this time.
[[Check on Appavi.|check with appavi]]Roy reaches down snatches the apple. Examining it Roy believes it is safe to eat, biting the side of the apple, Roy feels satisfied. His cheeks puff up with the amount of apple that is in his mouth.
While Roy is eating the apple he looks around the living room, It is not very marvelous to behold, it's an old-style looking home. The place is a wreck, questionable stains, a stench so putrid it's harrowing, this house has been neglected.
*Groan* Roy pauses, he ceases his chewing and looks in the direction where the groan came from. His eyes are drawn to the basement door. Swinging open slowly, a large hand with big claws emerges out with dark grey smoke pouring out of the skin, curling it's finger the hand motions Roy down towards the basement. The hand goes back down, and Roy is frightened.

Nobody is there. Roy angles himself back towards the apple, "I'm not going to eat you." As he says this, the apple fizzles away and melts into the floor boards.
"Thank goodness I didn't eat that."
[[Continue into the living room.|Living room]]The kitchen is unused in Roy's home, his Dad and Mom hardly ever cook. Dad eats at his job, and Mom eats fruits and vegetables mostly. Roy feeds himself, whatever lies in the cabinents is usually what he eats.
Roy departs the living room and enters the kitchen. Roy is still famished from earlier tonight. He clambers up the kitchen countertop to reach the cabinents, he opens one of he doors *squeeaakkkk*
A mouse jumps out and Roy does well to keep his balance. This cabinent is void of anything, only a bag were bread used to be. Roy closes the cabinent door and proceeds to check the other, this time being attentive if anything were to pop out again. When he peers into the cabinent door he notices a jar of peanut butter. He lashes out and snatches the jar, frees the lid and jabs his hand in and takes a big serving of peanut butter. Roy savors the peanut butter until it is all gone. Roy's hunger is now satisfied. He gets down from the counter and goes back into the living room.

Mom and Dad have told him numerous times that he is not to go to the basement. For hidden things lurk in the shadows. Roy has grown up cautious of the basement, but here the door lies in front of him.
"I'm not afraid." Roy speaks confidently. As Roy makes contact with the door handle he hear's a faint whisper in his ear.
"I'll save you." The voice mumbles. Roy not knowing what the voice means by this chucks it up to his mind playing tricks on him.
The door opens.......
A heavy wind fly's up the stairs and nearly blows Roy over, but he stands his ground determined to brave the basement. "I hope this is the way out of this nightmare."
Roy walks down.

Roy starts to experience visions as he walks closer to the window, the visions flash on and off, completly unaware of his surronding's, he drops his notebook on the floor. Roy puts his hands on the window seal.

"How!?" Roy states not lowering his guard.
"Come with me..... to the basement....there I will show you....," the voice barks out in response to Roy's question.
"I'm afraid of the basement, why there??"

*slow breathing fading away*
The voice has gone away, however Roy is now curious as to what the voice meant in it can help him. Help him get out of the house, help him get his old life back?
"I should follow the voice to the basement, but I'm scared." Roy thinks to himself.

[[Identify where the apple came from.|identify apple]]Deciding to go back to the vent Roy grabs the grate, slides into the channel of the vent and puts the grate in front of the opening.
He attempts to take the grate off thee ceiling with hands.... no good.

[[Look around you for something to pry it open.|look at vent]]Roy picks himself up from under his bed, his floor boards creaking as he travels to the door.

Mom's humming forms into a song.
"To whom shall I give this baby?
If I give him to the old hag, she’ll keep it for a week.
If I give him to the black ox, he’ll keep it for an entire year.
If I give it to the white wolf, he’ll keep it for a long time."
Roy recognizes the song, only the tone has change, it used to sound happy, but now it's deranged, Mom's voice is lazy and demented.
Roy reaches the chest and lingers around it, seeing the pencils at the top he stretches his arm to them and grabs them. He pulls gently, *stuck* they're underneath another toy, he looks back towards his Mom promptly to see her still singing to Appavi. Meticulously he frees the pencils from chest, excited he hugs them and loses focus. The humming has stopped......
Roy peeks over to the bed again, Mom still facing forward with Appavi over her shoulder. She still hasn't noticed him but has stopped singing, he must be remarkably quiet now as he sneaks back with the pencils in hand.
Almost out he gazes back at his mother still unaware, he looks over to Appavi and sees him with his eyes open now. Roy stops at the entrance, shaking his finger he puts it up to his lips and shakes his head no. *Appavi laughing*
Mom jerks her head quickly to the right *crack* exposing her piercing glare.
"Roy.......what are you doing?"
Roy instantaneously thinks of an excuse, "I woke up thirsty and got water in the kitchen."
Mom stares at him intently, "What have you got there?"
Roy realizing the pencils are noticable, he knows she will take them from him.

He smiles for a minute as though he was on a playground and he went down the slide. "That was fun." Roy says smirking. His smile quickly fades as he gets off the couch and his feet touch the ground again.
Roy ambles his way around the living room. *Creak* *Creaaak* *Creeaaakkkkk*
The bellow of the floor boards lingers throughout the house. Roy is not quite sure what he wants to do, all he knows is he does not want to go back to his room. Roy scours around the living room and all the areas that surround him. [[Knock on your parents door.|parents room]]Roy checks his surrondings for something. Touching the metal walls as he does so, "Cold, we haven't had the heater on in a while..." Roy looks back to the time he was a baby, when the house was warm and full of life. Now Roy is living a cold reality that is filled with nightmares.
Roy starts to become emotional thinking of his past, even though he was only a baby, the change of life was so drastic he remebers everything he used to have. The tears bang against the metal tubing of the vents, his cries fill the house.
Then Roy hears something.... *baby crying*, it's his brother Appavi crying in his room. He shifts to his right and identifies the outlet to Appavi's room.
At this point he starts to feel a draft in the vent, he grows in strength with every passing second, Roy faces forward and looks down the shaft of the ventilation system. "What the...., what's going on" *ROAAARRRRR*
A piercing noise that sounds as though a beast is on the hunt, fills the vents. Roy's eyes stretch open as wide as they can go. Terrified and confused he curls up and lays down, he wants to close his eyes but all he can focus on is what lies in front of him. Filled with terror, Roy tries to re-assure himself. "Calm down, your outside running with the other kids, your on the beach your drawing the sun...." gradually his soothes himself to the point where he has his nerves back.
Roy gets up and looks around, recalling Appavi's cries, the terrifying noise, and what he was doing before.

[[Crawl toward's Appavi's room|Roy hastily looks around until he comes upon the bathroom. Losing no time he swings open the door and tries to turn on the light, the lights flicker in the bathroom because Roy's father has not changed the bulbs in a while. He uncovers the seat and starts to go. A sign of relief falls over him, the flickering of the lights not seeming to bother him *flushes*, as Roy begins to pay attention to whats around him he notices a shadow peering behind him as the light flicker. Roy gently turns around and sees his mother staring down at him in the doorway.
"H-h-h-h-hi Mom."
Mom gives no response, glaring through him as though he wasn't even there. She then diverges her gaze away from Roy and looks to her right *SCREAMS*
Mom lets out a horrifying shreek of terror without moving. Then stops reverses to the other side of the room and walks in that direction, disappearing into the dusk.
*SLAMS* A door shut's suggesting that Mom has gone to her room. Roy has not moved still terrified, still shaking.
"Mom.....?"
Roy steps back into the living room brimming with concern. He notices that all of the doors are closed. However his parents room has a light on inside the room.

Roy sprints away headed towards his room, hearing his mother's wails behind him and Appavi's sobbing. The house begins to shake around him, it feels as though it is an earthquake. Roy stumbles into furniture and falls to the ground several times. He detects that his mother is getting closer, looking back at her he sees her hair flying as she is headed for him, she is completly unfazed by the shaking. Roy getting up, he attempts for his room one last time, giving everything he has, he scamper's all the way to his door and grabs the handle.
The shaking stops, Roy stands still in the doorway he looks back, his mother's hand firmly grasping his shirt. He glances up to her face and meets her gaze.
Mom brings her face down to Roy's and whisper's "Shhh..... you'll wake him up." As she says this she steals the pencils out from Roy's hands.
The door launches open, Roy startled looks into his room. He feels his Mom push him into his room. Roy falls onto his hands, crying he loops his head back over to his Mother.
"Stay in your room." She tells him. The door agains closes by itself.....
Darkness falls over Roy, his cries is all you can hear now.
"All I wanted was draw..." Defeated Roy slugs back to bed. Sticking the covers over himself he cries into his pillow for what seems like hours.
"I want to leave... I want to leave, and never see this place again."
*light rapid breathing* "Please."
*scratch* Roy is alarmed and looks to what the noise was, he doesn't notice anything at first until he looks at his floor. In the corner of his room he sees a floor board loosened off the floor. Roy cleans the tears off his face, gets up from his bed and goes to the loose floor board. Roy lifts it off the ground, bugs rush from the void, exposing a crawl space. A dirty small tunnel, looks to go to Appavi's room.
Roy takes this as a sign that he shouldn't give up. He hastily jumps in.
Mom is no where to be found.
Roy begins to climb out of the crawl space and cover it back up again. He feels much safer now being with Appavi.

Mom not paying attention to Appavi's cries speaks... "Why did you need those?"
Tears in Roy eyes he responds, "I just though it would be fun to draw."
"Fun?!" "Nothing is supposed to be fun Roy." "This is life."
Roy's cries escalate as well as Appavi's. Mom puts Appavi back in his crib and faces at Roy, "You both are ridiculous, I'm sick of both of you! You're not allowed to do anything. I say when you are allowed to do something! It's too dangerous out there in the real world!!"
"I c-c-can d-do it." Roy stutters
"Oh Roy, you can't. You're weak and pathetic, just like your brother over there...... Don't you get it, you're nothing. A waste of space that I have been burdened with."
"T-t-thats not t-true." Roy continues
"You might as well not even be here." Mom in a flash rushes over and grabs Roy by the throat suffocating him.
"M-m-m-m-mom, w-wh--yy." he gasps.
"I have to child, momma has too." The life of Roy drains, his mother filling his heart with sorrow. A child being betrayed by his own mother, Roy breathes his last, his limbs cold wither to the ground.
*Heavy breathing* Roy's Mom touches her deceased child, she begins to cry out for her lost son.
"Oh God why!!!" *Appavi laughs* Roy's Mom senses a cold presence she looks over her shoulder, still bearing Roy in her arms. Appavi continues to laugh in his crib. Roy's Mom buckles to her feet lifting Roy up and carrying him over to the crib with her.
Roy's Mom looks down at Appavi... *Appavi is silent now*
"You did this. It's always been you. You dark creature. It wasn't my fault. It was you." *Appavi looking confused*

"You should not be up this late Roy." *crashes* A loud clatter comes from the room and Roy's Mom immediatly looks up with severe expression on her face.
