Superhero Story

Aaron was born to a fairly poor mother and father. His father left when he was only 12 years old, but not before leaving Aaron with plenty of traumatic moments of his childhood. Growing up, Aaron was constantly berated by his father with insults and hurtful words that left a lasting mark on his psyche. As a result of years of childhood torment Aaron became a hardened and closed off person. [[Flash forward 20 years.|flash forward]]

Flash forward 20 years Aaron is in his mid-30's and his poor childhood has lead to a hardened man who is closed-off and only cares about protecting himself. Until one day when he was walking through the industrial part of the city on his way home from work when... [[He accidentially tripped and fell into green toxic sludge.|toxic sludge]] Or [[He walks through an abandon building and unknowingly gets exposed to radiation.|radiation]]

(set: $how_powers to "toxic sludge") (set: $found to "in a green puddle of sludge") As Aaron's foot accidentially gets hung on an exposed, rusty metal pipe and he falls down into a puddle of green sludge and is knocked unconcious. Little does he know that he lies next to a big rusty barrel with a hazardous materials label on it that has been acidentally tipped over. <img src="toxic.jpg"> [[Five hours later.|powers]]

(set: $how_powers to "radiation posioning") (set: $found to "in a strange empty building") As Aaron is walking he crosses through an old building as a short cut and begins to feel light headed and weak. Aaron slowly slumps down on the ground and is knocked unconious by something unknown to him. Little does he know the building he has passed through is the site of an old abandon factory that is known for being contaiminated by radiation posioning. <img src="radioactive.jpg"> [[Five hours later.|powers]]

When Aaron comes to he finds himself laying out (print: $found) and he has a rithing headache, but he can't figure out what from. All of a sudden Aaron feels his senses start to go into overdrive as he can hear every little noise, smell the faintest of odors from a mile off, and see through objects! The only explanation he can understand is that the (print: $how_powers) scrambled his average human abilities into overdrive and gave him super human abilities. Aaron fully embraces his knew found abilities and see's them as an oppourtunity to get back at humanity for the ways he has been wronged. Excited to exercise his new powers Aaron heads down the [[street|steet]].

While walking down the street Aaron spots an older gentleman walking slowly in front of him. As Aaron starts to get increasingly annoyed he looks for a way to walk around him. Then wihtout thinking Aaron's powers kick in an he is able to see through the back pocket of the gentlemens jeans and sees $300. Does Aaron... [[Steal the money|steal]] Or [[Leave the money, and keep walking|walk on]]

Aaron sneakily slips the money out of the gentlemen's pocket and mentally thanks his new powers. Aaron walks down the street happy to have stumbled upon these new powers. What should he do now that he has $300? [[Head to the bar|bar]] [[Let's see what else the powers can do, keep walking|more powers]]

Aaron graples with taking the cash for a minute then hurridely decides to walk on. As Aaron walks on he can't help but be slightly aggrevated that we couldn't bring himself to steal the cash. As he walks he passes by a [[bar|bar]] and debates going to get a drink or should he just [[go home|home]]?

Aaron walks into the bar, barks at the bartender for a drink and sits down at a stool. After spending an hour in the bar drinking and harassing those around him, he is beyond drunk. When a group of guys sitting at a booth nearby who are tired of Aaron bothering them and eveyone else they [[shout|guys]] at him. (if:(history: where its name is "guys")'s length >= 1)[After the guys in the booth set Aaron, he sulks, turns back around on his stool. Annoyed by these gentlemen Aaron [[stumbles home|home]] or Affected my the guys harsh words he [[sits at the bar|sits]] and thinks.]

Aaron continues to walk down the street and happens upon a group of street performers doing a magic trick with a young boy. If the boy can guess what cup the ball is under he can win $25 dollars. The street performers tuck the ball into one of the cups and start moving them around, spinning the cups faster and faster! The boy can't keep up, he picks the wrong cup when it comes time to choose, and then walks on down the street. Aaron tells the street performers, "Yeah I want to try!" knowing full well what he intended to do. The performer told him, "I'll make this one difficult since your older, if you can find this one ball under one of these five cups I'll give you $100." The performers started to spin the cups faster and faster, moving them up and down the length of the table to try and confuse Aaron. [[Then the cups stopped moving.|stop]]

Aaron eventually gets back to his apartment and we see a [[small, sad room|dingey]] with [[dirty clothes|clothes]] strung everywhere. <img src="apartment.jpg"> Aaron slumps down on the couch with a beer when he hears a knock at the door. He lets out a groan and [[gets up|get up]] and walks to the door to open it or [[shouts|shout]] to the person behind the door to tell them it's open.

His apartment was small--one bedroom with a tiny living area and kitchen. The apartment had very few windows and the lack of sunlight in the apartment only made it feel even smaller. The walls were covered in a deep, dark turqouise color paint and in some spots the bright white sheetrock shone through where the paint was chipped.

Aaron groans and picks himself up from the couch and stumbles over to the front door. [[He grabs the brass door handle and opens the door.|what do you want]]

To lazy to get up off the couch, he yells, "It's open" to the person behind the door. [[The door slowly creeks open|what do you want]]

The room was overtaken by the pungent smell of the clothes. From the entry-way floor to the couch to the back of the kitchen chair, dirty clothes were everywhere.

The gentlemen in the booth finally fed-up with Aaron's constant torment, lay into him. "Why don't you shut the hell up, you pathetic piece of shit" several the guys begin to shout at Aaron. [[Back to Aaron|bar]]

As Aaron sits on the old barstool he thinks about the what the guys said to him. He trys to convince himself that what the guys said about him was just them being jealous, but he can't help but feel bad deep down. Walk over and [[apologize|apologize]] to the table. Still conflicted Aaron [[pays the guys tab|pay tab]] and his own and slips out of the bar before any of them notice.

Aaron walks over and offers a half-ass apology, not knowing what to say, as he hasn't really ever offered a real apology to anyone. The guys brush it off and [[accept|accept]] the apology.

Aaron slips out of the bar and continues down the street this time headed [[home|back inside]]. (set:$good_deed to "paying for the guys tab")

Aaron then sees women standing in-front of him in a brightly colored dress with a big smile across her face. She excitedly starts to speak, "Hi nice to meet you I'm Mary, I just moved in nextdoor and I'm having a house warming party I'd love for you to come!" Feeling a little bit of resolve after apologizing to the guys, Aaron leaves the bar and starts walking down the street back to his [[apartment|back inside]]. (set:$good_deed to "apologizing to the guys")

As soon as the heavy door banged against the wooden door frame, Super could instantly feel the regret in the pit of his stomach. He opened the door back up to see the women slowly walking back to her apartment. He shouted to her, "Hey I'm really sorry about that, I would like to come. If you'll still have me." She swivled around and shrieked, "Yay! See you Saturday night at 7:00pm!" [[Apologize by helping her unpack|unpack]] [[Turn and go back inside the apartment|back inside]] (set:$good_deed to "apologizing and agreeing to go to her party")

"Uh sure I'll come" Aaron says as his voice trails off, simultanously the smile on her face grows even bigger than before. "Great, I'm so glad! I'm new in town and don't know anyone yet. Ok, well, I'll see you Saturday at 7:00pm!" she says as she turns and heads back to her apartment. Aaron steps into his apartment and closes the door behind him. He can't quite put his finger on it but he feels a little bit lighter after (print:$good_deed). Feeling a boost of positive energy, Aaron starts to pick up some of the stuff lying around his apartment till it is all cleaned up. Should Aaron [[take a nap|nap]] or [[get some work done|work]].

"Do you need help unpacking? I could help you get everything moved in, if you need it?" Aaron asks sounding unsure of himself. "Aw your too sweet! Thanks for the offer but I have movers on the way, so don't worry about it!" she says as she slips back inside her apartment. After the long day he has had Aaron decides to take a well deserved nap, so he sprawls out on his couch and quickly falls deep into sleep. [[When Aaron wakes up it's the middle of the night and his enhanced sense of smell enables him to smell something concerning.|wake up]]

Aaron decides to take advantage of this burst of energy he has to get some work done. Aaron sits down at his kitchen table and pulls out his laptop. Nearly four hours later, Aaron impressed with all the work he was able to get done gets ready for bed and quickly falls asleep after his long day. [[When Aaron wakes up it's the middle of the night and his enhanced sense of smell enables him to smell something concerning.|wake up]]

Aaron smells an overwheling smell of something burning, he looks around his apartment and doesn't find anything on fire. Realizing that the burning smell and subsequent fire has to be coming from somebody elses apartment in his building. As he realizes that his building is on fire in the middle of the night and trying to figure what to do, Aaron begins to panic. [[Start by going apartment to apartment to see if you can find the source of the burning smell.|find smell]] [[Call 991|911]]

Aaron races out of his apartment and starts by going apartment to apartment using his enhanced sense of smell, hearing, and sight to see if he can find the source. He searches furiously, nervous to find the source before its too late for those inside. He starts by going to check on: [[Apartment 1|room1]] [[Apartment 2|room2]] [[Apartment 3|room3]]

Trying to help, Aaron immediately calls 911 and tells them the building address and what is happening. Frantically, he tells the operator to get someone here as quickly as possible, he doesn't know if the building is even stable anymore. [[Thinking about his own saftey Aaron runs out of the builing.|run-bad ending]] [[Aaron runs out of his apartment and starts banging on his neighbors doors to wake them.|banging- medium ending]]

Aaron runs to the first apartment next to his on the right and stands outside the door and uses his powers to decipher if that is where the burning smell is coming from. As he stands there he doesn't see anything on fire inside the apartment and doesn't smell anything suspicious. So he [[moves on|find smell]].

Aaron moves on to the apartment directly to the left of his and stands with his ear to the door. Listening for the crackling of fire consuming the interior of the apartment, he hears nothing. Becoming increasingly nervous to find the source of the burning smell, Aaron [[moves on|find smell]] to the next apartment.

Aaron runs to the apartment next to his on the left and stands outside the door. (print: $mary1) Standing outside of the door he smells and overwhleming smell of burning and uses his super vision to see if there are flames on the other side of the door. The living area of the apartment is engulfed in flames. [[Aaron breaks down the apartment door.|break in]] [[Aaron scared for his own life runs out and leaves fighting fires to the professionals|run-bad ending]]

Scared for his own life Aaron runs down the stairs and out of the building. When he finally gets out of the building to the dark street below he is able to hear a police siren leaving the station several miles away. Feeling as though he has done enough Aaron looks back at the building and then turns and starts walking down the street. No longer concerned about those left behind him, Aaron looks for somewhere to go to pass the time until the situation with his apartment is settled. --- THE END

Aaron runs out of his apartment and immidiatly starts yelling as loud as he can and banging on all the doors of apartments around him, trying to wake his neighbors. He manages to wake some of his neighbors up and get them down the stairs and out of the building. There they all wait together in the street for the fire department to get there to see if Aaron helped get enough people out. --- THE END

Aaron busts down the door to find a firey red blaze consuming the living room nearly blocking the doorway to the bedroom. He pulls his t-shirt over his mouth and nose and [[runs through the doorway|doorway]] (if:(history: where it is "what do you want")'s length is 1)[to help Mary out of the building.] (if:(history: where it is "sits")'s length is 1)[to alert his sleeping neighbor.]

Aaron smelling the burning smell getting stronger and hear the crackling of the wooden floors louder, he knows he has to get her out now. He picks her up and [[together they run out of the building|run out- good ending]]

Groggily she rolls over in bed startled to see Aaron standing over her. She theb sees the orange glow coming from the living room and realizes what Aaron is saying and jumps out of bed, slips on shoes and [[together they run out of the building|run out- good ending]].] (if:(history: where its name is "sits")'s length >= 1)[Aaron busts through the bedroom door and goes to the bed and (text-style: "shudder")[starts furiously shaking] his neighbor awake. Groggily his neighbor rolls over in bed startled to see a man standing over her. She sees the orange glow coming from the living room and realizes what Aaron is saying and jumps out of bed, slips on shoes and [[together they ran out of the building|run out- good ending]].]

The two barely make it out of the building, and when they do she throughs her arms around Super's neck, grateful that Aaron saved her life. Aaron stands there in shock from the whole event but also not knowing how to react to his grateful neighbor. Super slowly hugs her back and tells her, "Your welcome". As he stands there in the street with his neighbors outside of what used to be his apartment, Aaron can't help but feel changed and effected by his whole near-death experience, like his eyes have been opened. --- THE END

When they finally stopped Aaron's super vision took over for him and he could instantly see through each of the five cups. Without a hesitation Aaron said, "Oh that was supposed to be hard? It's under this one." and lifted up one of the cups to reveal the ball. Aaron laughed, the performers stuned that he was able to figure it out, and took his $100 and walked on. Now all thats left was for Aaron to go enjoy his winnings at the [[bar|bar]] all this hustling made him thirsty.
