Superhero's journey

Hello, meet my hero, he saves cats and can fly. I guess you could say he's like Superman, but different.. Super-cat-saving-man? Yes. <img src="flying.jpg" width="400px"> (link:"His name.")[His real name is Zade. His life is pretty normal aside from the fact that he can fly. He has a girlfriend who he loves very much. He loves to spend time with her, but he also wants to spend time on things he's passionate about, such as helping people from situations like a man stealing an old womans purse or stopping a car break in if he happens to see it happening. As of recently he has also been saving a bunch of cats from situations. It is hard for Zade to juggle the things he wants to do because of his superpower, his job, and spending time with his girlfriend.] (link:"Zade.")[Zade's favorite thing to save is, well.. cats. His girlfriend finds this adorable but also wants him to get home sooner. How are they supposed to spend more than a couple hours together if he gets off work and directly goes to saving people and doesn't get home until 9 or 10? Lately he has been getting home later and [[later]]..]

(text-style: "shadow")["MOWW"] A cat cries from a tree up above as Zade is walking down a sidewalk to get to his car after a long day of work. Must save!! <img src="cat.jpg" width="400px"> (text-style: "bold")[SMASH] A car window smashes open. The source is a man wearing a hood breaking into the car. Zade goes to save the cat because it looks like its trying to get down but is too scared. Having to fly about 15 feet into the air, he scoops it up and returns it to the ground. [[Zade goes to stop the man breaking into the car]] [[Zade goes to scan the surrounding trees to see if any other cats need help]]

Zade flies over to the man who is indeed taking things from the car. "Hey, this your car?" Zade asks. "Uh.." the man trails off and tries to make a run for it, dropping a stack of cd's in the process. Zade picks him up and flies for about a minute, then drops him off at the top of a tree. (text-style: "bold")["YO GET ME DOWN YOU LUNATIC!"] The man yells from the tree. Zade stifles a laugh while flying back to the car to return its cd's to it. Zade returns to his car to [[drive home]]

This is what Zade really wanted to do. He can't help it, he just loves cats. He flies above, scanning the trees for any more cats. He sees one perched precariously on a pretty small tree. He goes to help it but it is able to get down on its own. Zade flies around the city for a little bit longer. He thinks its best to at least do a quick check each day after work. Some days one thing after another will happen and it will take hours before he is home. (text-style: "italic")[I guess I'll go home now. At least that didn't take very long today,] Zade thinks. Zade gets in his car to [[drive home]]

Zade arrives at home (yes he still has to drive) He just moved in with his girlfriend and promised that when they moved in together he would spend more time with her. Some nights that is the case but some nights it is not. (font: "Papyrus")[She is happy that he is home somewhat early. They begin making dinner together and enjoy a few hours being together.] [[Zade spends the rest of the night laughing and talking with her and falls asleep]] [[Zade goes to take out the trash before falling asleep]] [[Zade goes out for a short walk with their dog]]

Zade wakes up the next morning and gets ready for work. He smiles at her as he [[leaves]]

Zade wants to investigate but wonders, (text-style: "italic")[why am I so prone to finding trouble? Does that just come with my superpower?] He ends up getting in a fight with someone and flying them halfway across town. Zade returns home and falls asleep. [[morning]]

On the way to work, Zade sees a cat in the street. No cars are coming but the cat does not belong there! [[Zade gets to work late because he was saving a cat]] [[Zade gets to work on time]]

While taking out the trash he sees suspicious activity... (text-style: "italic")[[investigate]]

Zade wakes up and gets ready for work. His girlfriend has already left for work. He [[leaves]]

Zade gets in a bit of trouble at work.. He blows off steam after work by staying out late to [[help people..]]

After work, he spends just a little time out and then goes [[home]]

Zade gets home around 11, much later than he did yesterday. This means he will only be able to spend an hour or two awake with his girlfriend before it gets late and they need to get some sleep.. She isn't happy about it but doesn't complain. "Cats?" She asks. "Some, yeah." Zade answers. She smiles but he can tell she is a little sad. [[next day]]

Zade gets hurt while getting into a fight while trying to help people. [[next]]

This happens several days in a row, him getting home later and later each day. [[next week]]

Zade gets home at midnight and is bleeding again. (text-style: "italic")["Zade, do you have to keep coming home so late and getting in fights? You're hurt."] She has tears in her eyes and continues, "Not only that but I feel like I have barely seen you this week. Is this really worth it?" Zade realizes maybe he needs to spend less time out and more time with her. After all, she does make him happier than saving people does.. She makes him smile. She makes him relax and he just loves spending time with her. [["You're right.."]]

"For your safety and the sake of us, can you cut back on all the saving people?" She asks, "I know you want to help people but it takes away all of your energy too." Zade knows she is right and ponders what decision to [[make]]

Zade does want to help people, he feels like he has to. Sometimes he does want to quit, or at least cut back. But he knows he needs to be with her and also stop getting into danger. He just feels so much pressure from everything. What would people say if they knew he had a superpower but never used it to help people. (text-style: "expand")[[What do I do?]] (text-style: "blur")[[The answer is obvious]] (text-style: "Blurrier")[[The answer is hard though..]]

Zade decides he will balance his wants and needs in a better way. "I will cut back and just help people every once in a while." He tells her. "Thank you.." She smiles.

Zade has helped people for a long time. He has decided that now he will stop helping people, and spend more time and energy focusing on spending time with her. And his friends too, he hasn't seen them in a long time. "Thank you, love." She smiles and tackles him into a hug. This was the right thing to do. He feels better the earlier he gets home, anyways. Getting home so late that he can't see her just doesn't make sense. <img src="sunset.jpg" width="400px">

Zade does not want to upset her, he knows he needs to cut back on helping people. But he does not feel like he can be done helping people. He's stubborn. He tells her, "I'm sorry, but this is important to me. You're important to me too, but I can't quit this." She is sad.. tries to understand but can't.

This continues for several days, but then he slips in his routine of getting home early and starts to get home later and later again. [[several days pass]]

Zade runs into a friend while at the gas station after work. He has not hung out with him in almost six months. He invites him over to come play video games at his new house soon. His friend says maybe and departs.. Zade stays out until almost [[1 a.m.]]

(text-style:"blurrier")[Wake up..] (text-style:"blur")[Wake up..] (text-style:"expand")["Zane"] His girlfriend says. Zane sits up in bed, checks the time and sees that he is running late for work. "Oh.. thanks for waking me up." "You're welcome... maybe you could get home sooner and you wouldn't be oversleeping.." "I know.." He says. He gets ready in a hurry and leaves, hugging her on the way [[out.]]

Zane gets to work and is exhausted all day. (text-style:"outline")[Despite being exhausted he stays out late again and gets in a fight.] [[When he gets home..]]

Zane finds his girlfriend waiting by the door. She is in tears and hugs him. "Zane this is getting ridiculous, I barely get to see you anymore. Is this really worth it? And you're bleeding!" She cries in anger. Zade [[realizes]]

Zade realizes maybe he needs to spend less time out and more time with her. After all, she does make him happier than saving people does.. She makes him smile. She makes him relax and he just loves spending time with her. [[And]]

And it's not good for him to be getting hurt and being put in danger all the time. "I'll get home sooner," he promises. She smiles and says, "Good. So you think I'm right?" He knows he needs to be with her more since that is what he promised before, too. "Yes, love.. [["You're right.."]]

Their dog is good friends with their cat and he wishes he could take them both out, but the cat hates the leash of course. He returns back shortly and falls asleep content. [[leaves]]
