The year is 3106 and the Earth we used to know has been slowly dying ever since the sun went out 16 years ago. There is no vegetation, no seasons, and low amounts of insects and animals due to the frozen climate that is now Earth. [[More...|second]]

Starvation has swept over the planet and the population of Earth is in the mere thousands. Most of the planet's inhabitants have relocated to once tropical regions with shore lines to make use of what the ocean still has to offer. It was better for people to move closer to one another so more families could benefit off the goods and services others make a living on. [[However…|girl]]

There is one girl who differs from everyone else. Her name is Flick and she’s been different since she was born in 3090, the year the sun went out. (link:"click to show more...")[You see, when Flick’s mom delivered her she was quickly taken to a separate room to be examined by nurses. Flick’s mother knew this normal, but when she turned her head to look into the other room she could see a beaming gold light coming from the little pink blanket… Panic came over Flick’s mom and dad and they demanded to see their baby.] (link:"next")[When the nurses brought Flick over it was clear that their baby was glowing like the sun. After they got over the shock, they decided to name their baby Felicity, which means happiness, because she reminded them of the sun they recently lost. Throughout Flick’s life her glow turned into an energy that transferred to other objects. Realizing how powerful her touch could be, Flick was kept away in a home that was built for her near an inactive volcano in an isolated area of Hawaii [[Next|Isolated]]

Because Flick has been up on the volcano since she was 5 she has no friends and lives a very quiet life. Even more quiet than the lives that are lived by the normal humans who still live on Earth. But from the top of the volcano, Flick has always been able to faintly hear the voices of people in the village and sees other kids playing by the beach. She knows that her powers have been growing and they do more and more everyday. Flick is able to take energy away from any object and transfer it to another one. The thought came across her mind that if she could find enough energy from all over the world she could collect it and transfer all of it to the sun to make it illuminate Earth once again. She needed to decide where to start her energy collection adventure and looked at a map her dad had given her when she was younger. Flick decided that a plan would be her best bet for such a long trip, so she packed a bag, left the volcano and started to head to a nearby landing strip close to the shore where she knew planes used to fly into the island. Flick began to look around for any source of energy in the hanger that could power the plane. There was not much in there besides metal plane parts and covered tools. But then she looked up at all the lights that paneled over the hanger. Flick Thought if she could get one on she could then power the rest and take all that energy. So she used what little energy she had in her to power one light, then ten, then the plane battery. Then the front propeller of the plane began spinning rapidly and [[she was ready for take off|planej]]]

The old marina where Flick lived near was littered with abandoned boats so she decided to go there. (link:"Click for more...")[Flick came across an old sail boat that had sails in good condition because they were tied up. She knew the journey to Japan would be long and she would need enough energy to last her until she hit land or she would be stranded.] (link:"She began to think...")[“Wind energy!”, Flick shouted when she realized this would be the perfect way to make her journey. The plane journey for Flick was surprisingly smooth and she was surprised with herself that she could fly a plane so well. During her trip Flick thought about where she would go in Japan to collect the energy. (link:"More")[Then it dawned on her that she could locate a nuclear power plant. The journey through the pacific ocean was one of the most beautiful things she’s ever seen. Seeing the clear blue water under the dark sky made her want the sun to return even more so that light could shine on the water again to illuminate it. Flick started thinking hard about where she could go in Japan to collect the most energy. She remembered hearing stories from her dad about the type of energy that powered the sun and remembered it was called nuclear energy and there were nuclear power plants all over the world that different countries owned. Flick knew Japan had a nuclear power plant on the coast of Fukushima and [[turned her sails towards there.|ArrivalJ]]

After a long journey Flick arrived at the power plant which was a very obvious location due to the vast amount of industrial machinery that stook up into the sky. She quickly headed toward the property. Flick finally arrived at the nuclear power site and prepared herself for the absorption of energy that would be the most she's ever collected before. Flick heard sirens in the near distance and the sound of voices getting closer. A few moments later Flick was being spotlighted in the dark and saw police with guns pointing directly at her. Flick quickly obeyed as she knew these people have never seen a glowing human before and she just needed to explain.[[Next|Police]]]

Flick began to smell smoke and looked over to an entryway that had smoke billowing out of the dark hallway. [[Next->fire2]]

Panic came over Flick as everything around her began to shake. She was scared for her life in the event that the building would collapse. (link:"Click for more…")[But Flick didn’t travel all this way to not do what she came there to do. [[Next->collapse2]]]

Flick made the point, “what do you have to lose, I’m the only one who could get hurt here.” The officers agreed and left the power plant for their safety while Flick collected all the energy.Once again Flick placed her hands on the machines. Flick felt an overwhelming feeling and quickly escaped the building before the building collapsed. She has never ran so fast in her life. When she arrived at a safe area she looked down at herself and was in amazement at the amount of light coming from her body. (link:"Click for more..")[Flick knew it was time for her next move. Flick was prepared to die after collecting all the energy, but she was not prepared to die from an accidental fire that would cancel her entire plans. Flick decided that she might as well try to collect more energy on her journey back so she could have more power to give to the sun. At this point Flick was shaking and knew she was finally ready to transfer all her energy to the Sun. So she headed toward the [[highest point on earth->Everest]].]

Flick had always been interested in mountains since she lived on a volcano. Because of this she knew that Mount Everest was the highest point on Earth and would be the best place to reach the sun. Flick made it to the top of the mountain and was in amazement how much power she had to make it up so quickly. She laughed to herself when she realized not only would she save the world that day, but she also set a new climbing record that nobody will ever beat. Flick directed her hands up at the Sun and her entire body began to tremble… (link:"Click for more…")[Bright light beams shot out her hands and knocked her to the ground. The sky began to rumble and rock began falling from the mountain. Flick could feel the energy leaving her and she started to see a dim light appearing from the sun. When Felicity removed her hands from her face she looked up to see a bright blue sky with a big ball of gold in the sky illuminating the land around her. She was overwhelmed with the joy and sped down the mountain. (link:"Click for more…")[As she traveled closer and closer down the mountain she could hear the sound of people laughing and crying with incredible happiness. People started crowding toward the base of the mountain as they saw Flick’s trail of light powering down. It was clear that this glowing girl had saved the Earth and they lifted Flick into the air and she was greeted with hugs and kisses on the cheek from everyone she encountered. Flick told the people who had rejoiced around her that she was from Hawaii and desperately needed to go home to see her family. Without hesitation she was led to a boat dock where a sail boat was given to her to travel on. Her parents had already known it was her who brought back the sun because it was what she was born to do. Flick was embraced by her mom and dad who she thought would be angry with her for leaving without telling them. But when her mom leaned down and whispered “we always knew it would be you”, she revealed a glowing light from her hand. Flick looked at her mom in amazement and realized that she had fulfilled her purpose in life.
