Purgatory

You are waiting at a bus stop outside your house, there was a woman standing at the edge of the foot path oblivious to the world around her. A loud noise sounds like the rubber of a tire drifting along the ground, I look to the right a car driving very close to the path is driving down the street dangerously. [[Look out!]] [[Im sure she will notice it]]

You pull her back saving her from an on coming car that was driving dangerously close to the edge of the path. "Thank you so much, god knows what could have happened to me" [["Its ok I'm glad to hel...."]]

The left hand side of the car drives onto the path uncontrollably the driver looking scared as they panic and try to control the vehicle, in an instant the car is at the bus stop and hits the woman, [["AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"]] A loud cream sounds as the car hits the woman and follows through to crash into a nearby building. <audio src="sounds/carCrash.wav" autoplay> <audio src="sounds/womanScream.wav" autoplay>

You see a bright light above, the smoke fades, you look around. [[Look Up]] [[Look Down]] <audio src="sounds/carCrash.wav" autoplay>

"It’s Heaven its real! All those years spent doubting its legitimacy and now it’s here above me. Wait if Heaven is real [[that must mean...]]"

"It’s Hell It's real!, All those years spent doubting it's legitimacy and now it’s here below me. Wait if Hell is real [[that must mean..]]"

A wave of nerves causes you to become anxious as your waiting to discover your faith... You find that something doesn't seem rite, you’re not moving towards Heaven or Hell!, just floating in the what seems to be empty void between the two, A vision something in the distance [[it's getting closer and CLOSER!!!...]]

The figure gets clearer it seems to be a Quadrupedal like creature that’s like no other, The Creature stops as it gets within a couple of feet between you and it. The creature towers above you, [[staring down at you]]

The Creature has wings, one that is rough almost as if it's decaying. The other strangely looks pristine, glowing it looks like similar to an eagles but much larger. Its arms boney and jagged, claw like fingers sprout from it’s seemingly humanesk hands. Its four legs function like that of a spiders each with what seems to be a claw like hand on the end. It's upper body is human in appearance, while it's face the only thing out of the ordinary is two sharp horns protruding from its forehead and randomly scattered small spikes poking out from [[it's face]].

You look at the woman in shock, her face nearly non recognisable from all the blood that was caused by the fatal wound to the head she suffered due to the crash. You can't help but think how you could've stopped all of this, [["This is all your fault"]] you whisper to yourself.

You hear the sirens of ambulance coming from the distance. You decide not to go to work as the thought of what happened to the woman and what you could have done to avoid it is [[stuck in your mind.]] <audio src="sounds/siren.wav" autoplay>

You end up home, in bed, staring at the ceiling. You are number to everything around you just thinking about what happened today. You subconsciously hear the screams, the shrieks the sirens all the while hearing your own whisper to you [["you could have prevented this"]]

Your mind is consumed by the thought of what you could have done, what could have been, you try and pull yourself together and take your mind of off things. [[watch tv]] [[go to sleep]]

You turn on the tv and the and channel surf. you come across the news station, your attention focuses on the television, "Shocking today as a woman gets hit by a car due to a dangerous driver, this goes to show us all that even though we think we are safe we should stay vigilant at all times as anything can happen" announces the newscaster. Clips play of the scene as she finishes her words. The voices, the noises, the visions the suddenly get louder and more vivid. "STOP!!!" you yell as you turn of the tv and throw the remote control to the other side of the room cupping your eyes, you decide to [[go to sleep]]. <audio src="sounds/clickOn.wav" autoplay>

You try go to sleep and struggle as the voices in your head keep whispering to you sating that more should have been done. [[After hours of struggling you fall asleep.]]

You look down, "HELL!!!, its below me the fiery pits, A severe lack of brimstone might I add but the FIREY PITTS!", shadows and ashes rise from the fires, faint and distant [[screams come from below]] <audio src="sounds/screams.wav" autoplay>

You look down, "Heaven!!!, its Above me the pearly gates, A severe lack of clouds might I add but the GATES!!!", a glowing ora coming from the gates above, faint and distant [[screams come from below]]

You walk downstairs to get food, as you close one of the cupboards you notice that the reflection in the window yet faint doesn’t resemble your own. You gaze at it in confusion, you shrug your shoulders and forget about it "[[It's probably nothing]] anyway, I always said I needed glasses" <audio src="sounds/openCupboard.wav" autoplay>

You go to the bathroom, the loud noise of the toilet flushing as you finish. You go to the sink and wash your hands, you look up into the mirror. You look at your reflection the dark circle under your eyes the pale skin looking like you [[haven’t slept in days]]. <audio src="sounds/toiletFlush.wav" autoplay> <audio src="sounds/runningSink.wav" autoplay>

It's the old woman that got hit by the car, she’s in your mirror. You look shocked. The woman stares back at you whispering. "You could have saved me", you look back "I didn’t think you would get hit" you say. "It's your fault" she whispers again in a ghostly tone. "WHY ARE YOU HERE!!!" you shout. The woman just looks back at you not blinking just staring. "LEAVE ME ALONE, GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!" you scream. The woman fades away out of the mirror leaving only your reflection. You splash water on your face rubbing your eyes to clear them. You look back at the mirror and wave your hand, the reflection mimics your every move. You try move your body in an attempt to see the reflection react differently [[but nothing changes]]. <audio src="sounds/runningSink.wav" autoplay>

As you sit down to eat your breakfast a cold chill fills the room. You shiver and walk over to the thermostat. It's on high yet [[you feel cold]]. "Stupid heating must be broken" you say. <audio src="sounds/pullOutChair.wav" autoplay>

You wipe your face in disbelief thinking you can’t possibly be seeing things. You finish washing up, "enough of this I’m hungry, [[why am I always hungry]] am I always hungry]]?" you say. <audio src="sounds/turnOffTap.wav" autoplay>

The kitchen gets colder. You shiver as you feel colder by the second. You see small clouds of breath as you exhale. Sitting and shivering. "What is going" you say as you [[shiver in your seat.]]

A figure begins to form in the centre of the kitchen. Once more it is the old woman. Her eyes dark as if she was to have them painted black, her skin pale and lifeless. She stands stiff as a board staring at the ground. "Wha, wha, "[[what d,d,d do you want from me]]" you say shivering form the cold.

The woman lifts up her head and stares at you "You did this to me" the woman say in a grim voice. "I’m sorry!" you shout as you struggle to talk through the freezing cold. [["You are the one who should have gotten killed"]] the woman says while pointing at you.

The woman starts floating towards you slowly with her hands out in front of her waiting to grab you. You panic as you look around you see an [[ash tray]] on the table and the [[door next to you]].

You reach for the ash tray ad throw it at the woman. It passes through the woman breaking against the wall behind her. "SHIT!!!" you yell as you run for the [[door next to you]]. <audio src="sounds/glassShatter.wav" autoplay>

You run to the door next to you slamming it behind you. You hold your back against the door in an attempt to keep the being inside. "HAHAHAHA" the woman starts laughing as her hands go through the door wrapping around you. "AHHHH" You scream as you [[back away from the door]]. <audio src="sounds/slamDoor.wav" autoplay>

You back off from the door as the woman passes through the door like a cloud of smoke filling the room. She stares at you with a grin on her face. You have a shocked expression on your face as you can't believe [[what you are seeing.]]

The woman starts moving towards you once more you panic and run out the front door only in only wearing your underwear, housecoat and slippers. The woman follows behind your arms stretched out waiting to [[wrap them around you]].

You run to the middle of the street "HELP!!! HELP!!!" you scream as you stand in the street looking around for even a shimmer of a person that could help. The woman getting ever closer to [[you with each second that passes]].

You break down in the middle of the road begging and pleading for your life. A man appears from a neighbouring home "Calm down I've called for help" he yells, you get up to your feet "Thank you so much" you shout with gratitude, the man replies [["Its ok I'm glad to hel...."]]

It doesn't look like anything from heaven nor hell but rather a mix between the two. "I’ve never seen anything like this depicted in any kind of religion before! You whisper to yourself. As contemplate [[turning moving away]] in an attempt to avoid it, as it stays idle [[staring at you]].

You turn away in an attempt to flee from the creature. As you turn to face the opposite direction you find that the creature is facing you even in the [[opposite direction]].

"I am Irii the gate keeper between the realms. No matter where you look or where you go [[there is no escape]] from my presence here".

You turn in a panic it seems whatever direction you go in the creature is face forward. You stop turning as you realise [[there is no escape]].

"Yes, I decide the faith of those who have perished in the [[realm of the living"]] Irii says.

The void that comes to mind when you humans think of purgatory is my realm the one you are currently in, when in all reality your very own lives are what is known as purgatory. Your lives are just the clocks that are ticking down until the moment of your death, where everyone and everything you have ever loved and worked for is taken away from you and the true outcome of [[your faith is revealed.]]]

"So what is my faith then? You look around you and see the emptiness of the void. Both Irii stop and look at you in shock, wide eyed. The new Irii fades away out of existence. The image in the cloud becomes clearer and solid. You see yourself lying on the ground, people around you, the car that hit you, paramedics standing over your |1stIriiConvo47>[(color: "red")[lifeless body.]] (mouseover-append: ?1stIriiConvo47)[ "That's... This is just after the moment you had died and your nonphysical being was sent here." Irii says. You [[move towards]] the vision. You [[try move away]]. ]]

You try move away once more but you are still confined to the same spot you where. It seems like all your efforts of fleeing are useless. You start to [[move towards]] the vision against your will out of your own control.

With a slow wave of his hand a cloud of smoke appears shimmering. Shapes and colours begin to fill he cloud. It gets larger. The window of you lying on the ground appears, much larger than before. You start to [[move to the window]].

As you get close, with a snap of its fingers Irii removes the gate to reality. [[move to portal]] ]]]

You jolt forward to meet the portal, you hear a click the portal disappears. You look around and see Irii smirking. "HAHAHAHAHA" Irii bursts out in laughter at your expense. Irii clicks his fingers once more the gate appears much closer this time rite next to you. [[Touch the portal]] [[leave it]]

You reach your hand out and you hear the click noise. The gate disappears. You look at Irii, Irii has a grin on his face. Irii snaps his fingers again and the gate [[re appears.]]

"HAHAHAHAHA, I was just joking... Here" says Irii With a swipe of his hand the gate [[re appears.]] in front of you.

Irii looks shocked as your are goes through. "NO!!!" |1stIriiConvo63>[(color: "red")[Irii shouts.]] (mouseover-append: ?1stIriiConvo63)[ You jolt the rest of your being through the gate, the gate closes behind you as you go all the way through. "No, No don’t get up, you've been banged up pretty bad, you shouldn't even be alive rite now." The |1stParamedicConvo2>[(color: "green")[Paramedic says.]] (mouseover-append: ?1stParamedicConvo2)[ "It's odd we can't seem to find anything wrong with you, no internal bleeding, no serious damage, just a few scrapes and bruises, you have survived this due to nothing short of a miracle". The Paramedic says. You get up [[to your feet.]] ]

You stretch and have a sudden loss of balance but quickly recover. You start moving your feet and rubbing your hands with an expression of disbelief on your face, as if your sense of touch is a foreign and unknown experience. You grab the handle of the front door, feeling the cold metal on your hands. You walk into the living room, there is an eerie atmosphere surrounding the home. You look around trying to keep your eyes open. You look to you left. "Hey there" a miniature sized Irii |2ndIriiConvo3>[(color: "red")[says to you. ]] (mouseover-append: ?2ndIriiConvo3)[ "AHHHHHH" |2ndIriiConvo4>[(color: "blue")[you scream.]] (mouseover-append: ?2ndIriiConvo4)[ "Jeez calm down" you hear to your [[right side]]. ]]

You look to your left, another miniature Irii is on your right shoulder. "Hi there" |2ndIriiConvo5>[(color: "red")[The Left Irii says.]] (mouseover-append: ?2ndIriiConvo5)[ "AHHHHHHH" you scream lying in your bed, with seemingly no way of avoiding [[this nightmare]]. ]

You look to your right, another miniature Irii is on your right shoulder. "Hi there" |2ndIriiConvo5>[(color: "red")[The Right Irii says.]] (mouseover-append: ?2ndIriiConvo5)[ "AHHHHHHH" you scream lying in your bed, with seemingly no way of avoiding [[this nightmare]]. ]

You hear laughing coming from both shoulders. "Why are you laughing!!!, why are you here! You look to the right shoulder that Irii is not in halfeither. That Irii is full pristine and glowing. The two seem to be the [[complete opposites]] just like the two half’s of the Irii in the void.

You get the bus into town. Although the Irii's told you no one can see them you still feel paranoid that people are looking at you. You get off the bus as you reach the town. You hear the two Irii's talking as you walk. You try move away but you can't seem to move any part of you. You become stiff and stagnant idle in one place. Irii looks at you with a smirk as if to mock you. "Your reactions are laughable" Irii says. Why is it so funny!?! [[what is that?]]

You wake up the next morning, tired you look at the clock its 09:00AM "I must've got only a couple hours last night" you say in your morning voice, You rub your eyes while feeling exhausted as you try and recover from the previous night’s sleep.
