The depths

You slowly enter a strange cave, unaware of who you are. [[Pull out a torch]] [[Try to remember]]

You pull out a torch, its beam piercing the darkness. You see two pathways. One goes straight. The other turns. You do not know where they will lead. [[Straight passageway]] [[Turning passageway]] [[Look behind you]]

You try to remember who you are, but to no avail. Why are you here? You don't know. Where are you? That question is one you feel you should answer. You hear a slithering behind you. What do you do? [[Run]] [[Hide]]

The passageway goes on for miles. You don't know how long it is. You start to doubt it has an end. That is until you come across a big room with a seemingly bottomless pit. You could jump down, but that seems risky. You do hear water, however. You could search around for the source. [[Jump down]] [[Search for the source]]

The passageway turns way more than you excpect. It seems to go on forever. You don't know what is around the next corner. Finally, the turning corridor ends at an entrance down deeper. You do not want to go deeper. But what other option do you have? [[Go down]] [[Turn back]]

That was a mistake. As you look behind you, your torch light shines on a gleaming monster. It lunges at you, and you have no time to react before it kills you. [[The End]]

You run as fast as you can. Not daring to look behind you. You hear... whatever that noise was... following you. You pick up the pace. Then you reach a dead end. You can climb up. That would probably be the best solution, as you don't think you have the strength to stand up to it. Although, you could still stand against it. [[Climb]] [[Stand your ground]]

Hiding seems a good option. It is pretty dark, so hiding shouldn't be that hard. That is, if the creature didn't have night vision. [[The End]]

Why? Why would you jump down a hole? Your body falls down and hits the ground with a loud splat. Bones break because of the impact, and all that is left of you is a blood splatter on the floor. Well done. [[The End]]

You decide that you would not live if you jumped down the hole and decided to search for the source of water. You are soon rewarded with a waterfall concealing a cave. You do not know what is in there, however. You could still climb up and see what is above. [[Into the cave]] [[Climb]]

So you go deeper. And deeper. And deeper. And... deeper. It seems to go on forever before finally stopping and splitting down two lanes. From the right, you hear strange noises. From the left... Wait! You swore you saw some light at the end of the left passageway. Must be the paranoia, as now there is no light. [[Right passageway]] [[Left passageway]]

You turn back, only to be greated with a snarling face of a monster. Before you can run, it lunges at you. [[The End]]

You died. However, this is not game over. You can try again! Choose wisely, as you are not alone. [[Try again->Unknown circumstance]]

As you climb up the rocks, you hear a snarling below. You decide to look down and see a monster, with a snake tail, claws, a crocodile snout and a scaley back. Good thing it cannot climb. As you arrive halfway to the top, you see a dark, ominous tunnel. You can climb further, however you do not know if your arms can take you that far. [[Into the tunnel]] [[Climb up further]]

You decide to stand against whatever may come at you. And your greeted with being lunged at by a 6-foot monster. You poor thing. [[The End]]

You enter a small cave after going through the water. The cave is pretty small. However, there is a way to go down. [[Go down]] [[Turn back]]

You decide to follow the strange noises. Because when as that ever turned out bad? As you continue, you reach a door leading into a clearly human structure. You don't know if you should continue. You could still turn around. [[Continue]] [[Turn back]]

The passageway goes on and on, until you finally reach the source of the light you saw. A staircase. As you start to ascend, you start to feel like there is something more. You can still turn back. [[Turn back]] [[Go up]]

You go on and on through the tunnel. Then you see a light at the end. Finally! You keep going until you arrive outside. Smelling the fresh air, you decide to try and find the nearest area of civilization. However, you will never know the true secrets of what lies beneath. [[Escape!]]

You keep on climbing. however, your arms ache badly. They feel like they will fail any minute. Just then your foot hits a loose rock, and you plummit into the creatures jaws. [[The End]]

That is it. You escaped the depths alive, but did you really deserve to escape? You will never know why you were in there, or who you were. You don't care anymore. You just want to leave all this in the past. Click the decision below if you want to try for another ending. [[Unknown circumstance]]

You decide to go through the door. As you look around, you see it looks like some kind of research center. You see a way out. But something about the exit looks strange. Probably just the paranoia again. There is however a way up. [[Exit this place]] [[Go up the stairs]]

As you go through the exit, you feel a tingling sensation. Then you realise, its electrified. To late. The forcefield fries you. [[The End]]

As you go up the stairs you come to a viewing area. There are multiple controls and a glass window which look down upon a young girl. She seems to be strapped in and in serious pain you see a way in to the chamber. Although... one of the buttons says disable electrical shield. That may be able to help you escape. [[Disable electrical forcefield]] [[Go down to help the girl]]

You disable the electical forcefield, and leave the girl to starve. You just want to get out. Going through the previously electrified exit, you walk out and smell the fresh air. But you do not feel right. [[Who is the monster?]]

As you go down the stairs, you run to the girl. You try to free her. She looks really beat up and weak. The restraints are strong but old, and after a bit off pulling, they come off. Alarms suddenly come to life as the entrance slams shut, and another door opens. But you don't have long! [[RUN!]]

As you exit, you start to feel guilty for not saving the girl. It is to late now. But, despite all the questions you have, there is one which you did not think about. Who is really the monster? You run through the doors and into the fresh air, just as they slam shut behind you. The girl, despite being very weak, managed to utter two words in between her coughs: "Thank you". Then she goes into a fit of coughing as you go along the road, hoping to find some form of civilization. [[True escape]]

You not only escaped, but you managed to save a girl aswell. Maybe she can give you more answers about what was happening down there when she gets better?
