On the vast farm land surrounded by nothing but mountains in the distance, stood a small wooden cabin.
It was a brisk morning, a cold fog came billowing down from the nearby hills and covered the farmland. Animals grazing in the dew covered feilds and the corn brussled in the light winds. This day differed from no other morning, but things were about to change.
Waking up, you stand on the cold tarnished wooden floor of your room. You hear a call coming from downstairs <i>"Theon!"</i> .
[[Answer the call|Get shouted on]]
[[Go downstair|talk to mother]]
[[ignore it|Go back to bed]]
You decide to shout back at your mother. As you wake up you roar <i>"What is it mother?"</i>, however since poor sense of sound since you have just woke up makes you shout louder than anticipated. Your mother storms into your room demanding that you begin your chores. You shoot out of your bed, grab your tools and head out into the farmland to begin your work. While leaving your cabin, your mother calls you back to have a word with you. <i>"Theon, you know that was never a way to talk to your mother, I wont be here forever you know"</i>. You shrug it of as just another form of your mothers wisdom and continue walking. When you reach outside you notice that the sun is spliting the skies and you'll have to work during a warm heat. You then have to decide wither to fix the hole in the fence or feed the farm animals.
[[ Fix Fence ]]
[[ Feed farm animals ]]
The tone of your mothers voice wake you up, you can instantly tell that there is something wrong with the way the said your name. You pace quickly towards your mother, <i>"What is it, everything okay ?"</i> whilst having a puzzled look on your face. However while talking to your mum, you glance out of the window and notice that the sun has already risen. <i>"Sun has risen boy, your chores are waiting"</i> your mother hands you the bag of food and tools to start your chores. With an apoligetic look on your face <i>"Sorry mother, I won't sleep in again"</i>, you take the tools of your mother, kiss her goodbye and continue on your way towards the farmland. When you reach outside you notice that the sun is spliting the skies and you'll have to work during a warm heat. You then have to decide wither to fix the hole in the fence or feed the farm animals.

After hearing your mother call your name, you fall back asleep due to the amount of work you done yesterday while fixing that fence. However when your just about to dose off to sleep, your door slams open, your mother begins to scream at the top of her lungs <i>"Theon, you better wake up now boy"</i>. The screaming startles you, waking you up instantly. You notice the agressive look on your mothers face, realising you have done something wrong. After you wake up, you look out the window to notice how bright the sun is outside. With an apolegetic look on your <i>"Im so sorry mum, I was so tired from yesterday"</i>. Your mother takes no acknowledgement of your appology and storms off. While leaving the house, your mother leaps infront you, putting her right arm across the door. Your mother begins to whisper in your ear <i>"You do know that if you dont complete your chores we wont make money to survive right ? Working on the farm will be good for your future Theon"</i>. However, your expections were so much greater than just living in the farm the rest of your live. You have always inspired to be better than the others in next to your farm land. You continue walking towards the edge of your farmland. When you reach outside you notice that the sun is spliting the skies and you'll have to work during a warm heat. You then have to decide wither to fix the hole in the fence or feed the farm animals.
[[ Fix Fence ]]
[[ Feed farm animals ]]
You choose to fix the hole in your fence to prevent any animals from leaving your farm. Enchancing the security of the farmland was usually a job for the father of the family, however since your father is no longer alive you had to grow up quicker than other children your age. Your mother always reminds you that you have to act more responsible than the others your age since you have more responisibiltes than other children. Even though fixing the picket fence is tiresome work, many see the task as relaxing. Due to you being outside with no distrcations just listening to the wind chatter and the blowing of the trees.
While carrying out your chores, you take a break to begin eating lunch that your mother packed for your previously. However in the distance you notice soldiers from the "Main City" training in the distance. Stories were shared frequently between you and your mother, your favourtie was of the distant cities within the kingdom. Vast structures made of sandstone inhabited by the more fortunate and prosporous of the realm. Nothing was impossibe in these cities, you wished every day for the oppertunity to live in such a place. These were just stories to you, stories of a land that could never be. The dream of living within the city walls became more of a unreachable feat rather than an actual possibility for the children of the farmland. If you were born on the farmland, you were expected to live and work there your full life.
After completing your chore, you hear a faint voice in the distance coming from the direction of your house. You turn around and see your mother calling your name <i>"Theon"</i>.
[[Helping Mother]]
You chose to refill the supply of food for the farm animals with the bag that your mother handed you. Feeding the farm animals was never the greatest task when working on the farmland. It was usually given to the children while the father would do the hard labour of working on the security of the land and the repairing of tools. However since your father is no longer around everything is down to you to complete while your mother cooks and cleans.

[[Helping Mother]]
You hurry back to your home where you mother looks woreout from trying to do some hard labour. <i>"Please help me rotate my bed, im trying to clean underneath"</i> your mother says while panting heavily. While walking towards your mothers room you walk by the stove and smell your mothers famous stew, the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. This floods memories of you spending time with your dad into your mind from when you were 5 years old . You can see that your mother attemped to rotate the bed herself, however she never got far therefore she called your name for help. Half way through rotating her bed you hear a banging noise, the noise sounds like two pieces of wood hitting each other. <i>"Stop the now mother, I heard something"</i> you say will bending over to check what is underneath the bed. You notice that there is a well carved box under the bed, you place the box on the bed and hear a rattle of metal within the box. With a confused look on your face you ask your mother <i>"Whats in the box?"</i>, your mother takes the boxs away into the living and places into a cupboard. Your mother walks back into her room and continues trying to move the bed as if nothing had happened. Questions start running through your mind, like <i>"why would my mum not let me look inside ?"</i> or <i>"Why did she just move on as if nothing happened"</i>. You ask your mother why she just ignored that you just found the box, she begins to raise her voice <i>"It's not important, it was here when we first arrived"</i>. However you do not believe that is the correct reason, confusedly you ask your mother <i>"Why would you just hide the box if it wasnt important"</i>. Your mother is starting to get very frustrated that you keep persiting about where the box came from. Your mother shouts at the top of her lungs <i>"STOP ASKING WHATS IN THE BOX THEON!"</i>.
[[Keep Persisting]]
[[Storm out the Room]]
You keep persisting to find out what is in the box by barraging your mother with questions. Your mother storms out of her room and floods of tears begin falling from her glistening eyes. You walk out of her room to see her sat on an old wooden chair in the living room with her head smothered in her hands. <i>"Im so sorry I haven't told you what actually happened"</i> you mother keeps repeating, you mind starts to wonder what she could be talking about. Your mother looks up to you and gestures for you to come and sit beside her. Your mother wipes her tears away, <i>"I haven't been fully honest with you about your father Theon, I believe your now old enough to know"</i>. While still being baffled you ask your mother "What you talking about, what happened". Your mother goes on to tell you how your father was seen as a god to the soliders of the "Main City" before you were born and that he was once the commander of the army leading them to many of their famous victories with huge triumphs. However your mother then begins to tell you that your father was killed by a evil dark elf called "Fahdril the great" during what was going to be his last time leading his soliders into battle and that your mother had to abandon the life your family had in the Main City walls to escape danger.
While having the conversation with your mother, you notice a small dust trail coming from the path leading to your home grows closer. A lone rider approaches from the horizon, the setting sun illuminating him as he rides steadfast toward you. The banner he flies is that of the empire, you know this from previous encounters with empire soldiers. You know of the ongoing war, but until this moment you have had no first hand experience dealing with it. Your mother knows immediately, that you are being called to war.
[[Chapter 2:Rider Approaches]]
The rage storming throughout your body is no longer enough to bare, this leads you to storm out of your mothers room. Screaming at the top of your lungs "Why are you holding this from ME!", tears begin to flow down your face like a raindrop. While prancing round your livingroom you hear the creak of your mothers bedrooms door and see her head peering out the door. "Can we talk Theon ?, I have something to tell you" your mother asks sympatheticly. She staggers towards you and sits on the seat next to you. With a piece of handkerchief, she wipes the tears running down your face, "Can I tell you something now?" your mother asks". You nod giving her approval. Your mother goes on to tell you that the box you found was a box full of your fathers most precious things throughout his life and they were to special for throw away. She also begins to explain how your father was seen as a god to the soliders of the "Main City" before you were born and that he was once the commander of the army leading them to many of their famous victories with huge triumphs. However your mother starts to cry and then begins to tell you that your father was killed by a evil dark elf called "Fahdril the great" during what was going to be his last time leading his soliders into battle and that your mother had to abandon the life your family had in the Main City walls to escape danger. While wiping the tears from her face, your mother asks "Now you understand why I couldn't have told you about this previously Theon?".

[[Chapter 2:Rider Approaches]]
Walking outside you stand in anticipation watching the rider draw closer to the cabin. The rider dismounts his warhorse, tall and brown. His armour glistening and untarnished, this soldier has not seen war. This fills with you hope that the war may not be as bad as you previously had imagined. In his hands he has a scroll, unravelling it he reads “On behalf of the king and his grand army, You Theon are hereby called forth to fight and defend your kingdom”
[[immediate acceptance]]
[[Reject the Rider]]
Holding the decree from the king in your hands, you feel the burning fire within your heart you imagine your father had during his years as a soldier. As the sun sets you gather the small amount of possesions the military will allow you to have. Heading to bed, you are filled with hope that you can make a difference in the war, that you can bring a positive change.
You are awoken by screeching, the high pitched sound brings you fear. Heading to your window you see flames and billowing smoke clouds coming from the village.
[[Aid your mother]]
[[Run to the Aid of the woman]]
War, war was never part of your plan. Your dreams of the empire and the vast cities with fortune and glory await you, if you run. Convincing yourself that running away from home will allow you the possibility of all of these things. You could reinvent yourself, become prosperous and live a wealthy life. The price you pay for this is great, you could never return home and never see your mother again. You feel this is a necessary evil.
You wait until the sun has fully set and your mother had gne to sleep. Gathering your provisions you mull over the gravity of your decision. Leaving the cabin you don't look back, doing so is too difficult.
[[Head north into the village]]
Heading Into the village at night, the streets are silent and empty. During the day these streets would be crowded with traders and customers yelling. Seeing this usually bustling area silent and desolate you feel out of place.
Looking ahead you see light, heat pours down the street from the light source. Horsemen weilding torches are setting a light to the thatched roofs of the village. Sudden screams arise as people awake in the burning homes. Soldiers enter homes to pilage and murder the occupants. The war has found its way to you irregardless of your choices...
You stand in shock, you can not believe what you are seeing.
[[Run home]]
[[Aide the village]]
Your village has sucumb to the horrors of war. The smell of burning wood and flesh overwhelms you as you leave your bedroom in search of your mother. You find her on the floor of your porch, she is distraught by the sudden attack and does not respond to your calls. A silouhette of a man wielding axes emerges from the burning village, he begins to run in your direction.
[[Grab your mother and run]]
[[Run ahead and defend your mother]]
Leaving your home you run in the direction of the burning village. Weilding a rake that you acquired for your porch you charge at the soldier. The soldier removes his sword from the womans back, she falls to her knees and collapses in a pool of her own blood. He turns to you and makes no effort to change his stance.
[[continue charging forward]]
[[Grab your mother and run]]
Grabbing your mother, you head through the house heading for the back door. In a soft voice your mother commands you to gather the box containing your Fathers possesions. Turning back you see the soldier hasn't yet moved from his spot. Running Upstairs you gather your fathers possesions, there are peculiar thudding sounds coming from the exterior of the house. Heading downstairs a flmaing arrow comes throw your front door, setting a flame to the rug.
Pulling your mother you leave your home out the back door, running toward the treeline not far from your home. Looking back you remember the soliders face, ensuring it was imprinted within your mind. Your home a blaze, you vow to return to take back your village and have your revenge.
[[Hide within the trees]]
You charge forward grabbing a pitch fork from the porch, your only weapon. You hold just in front of the porch, altering your stance ready to thrust as he rushes forward. The soldier slows and stops just ahead of you, he slowly begins to circle you.
[[Hold, wait for him to come to you]]
[[Run directly at him, Pitch fork raised]]
[[Run to the house]]
You are struck by an arrow, falling with the force of its entry into your leg. It lodges in the bone within your thigh. The wound in your leg runs red as the flow of blood floods the ground below you. Looking up you see the soldier walk toward you.
[[Raise your rake]]
[[Crawl away]]
Raising your rake, you are struck by another arrow in the chest. Peircing your right side it penetrates your left lung. Inhaling fills your lung with blood and all hope of surviving this fight is lost. The soldier looks at you with pity in his eyes. He places his sword on your shoulder, you are stuck kneeling at his feet. Both arrows lodges within your bone. You turn away as he raises his sword.
You are killed.

The soldier stands over you with one leg bearing down on your wound. He thrusts your sowrd into your back.

[[Chapter 2:Rider Approaches]]
You hold as he slowly starts to edge his way closer to your home. His eyes fixed in you and his sword pointing, taunting you. The soldier has circled around you a little more, his back now facing the treeline not far behind your home. You see several Empire scouts emerging, one aiming his bow directly at the soldier. The scout releases his arrow and strikes the soldiers leg. He kneels, his sword raised guarding his face from you, looking for those who shot the arrow.
[[Fight]]
[[Run]]
Placing all your wait on your right foot, you project yourself forward and charge the man. You raise your pitch fork leveling the points with his head height. The soldier begins to swing his sword and strikes the fork from your hands as you get into range. The powerful lunge froces you to tumble to the ground, at the foot of the soldier.
He laughs at you and shows to give you no mercy, rasing his sword gripped with both hands. However, The soldier does not get the chance to plunge it into you. He Is shot by an arrow coming from the treeline behind your home. The soldier turns his attention to the several Empire scouts emerging from the trees.
[[Run]]
[[Fight]]
Fearing your imminent death, you turn and run toward your home. Turning your back to the soldier was a mistake. The soldier takes a knife from his belt and throws it toward you, striking you in the back. You continue running to the house as the soldier charges forth.
[[Attempt to barracade the door]]
[[grab mother and run through the house]]
Waiting within the treeline, you observe the village under seige. Your home burning to the ground as the soldiers loot and pillage all that remains. Russling can be heard behind you, turning around you are met with an arrowhead infront of your face. Several Empire scouts stand before you. They lower their weapons recognising that you were no threat to them.
They explain their dismay, the attack was not forseen and had taken the Empire by surprise. Looking out from within the tree's they see that there is nothing that can be done. They escort you and your mother to the Barracks.
[[Chapter 3]]
As the soldier attention is diverted you get to your feet and run to your mother, who is still standing in shock at the entrance to your home. Grabbing her arm you run through the home and exit on the other side of the house. You run for the treeline.
As the scouts finish of the soldier, they hurry back to you and your mother waiting inside the treeline. They comforst you both and then escort you to the barracks.
[[Chapter 3]]
As the soldier's attention is diverted, you charge at him with the pitch fork. You stab him in the upper back. The soldiers light leather armour is peired easily by the four prongs. Hunched on the ground, the soldiers heavy breathing starts to slow. Removing the pitch fork from his back, he falls to the ground. He is dead.
The scouts come forward and congratulate you on surviving. They hurry you and your mother to the treeline. They explain the surprise of the attack and how the emire was caught of guard. They escort you to the barracks.
[[Chapter 3]]
Entering the cabin you close the door, pulling a cabinet in front of the door blocking it. Grabbing ypour mother you head to the back exit of the cabin. Exiting you see the treeline ahead. Adrenaline pumping you hurry, holding your mothers hand, toward the treeline. The soldier has made his way around the house and charges toward you once more.
[[Attempt to hold the Soldier off as your mother runs]]
[[Throw mother at soldier, save yourself]]

An arrow strikes the soldier as he is running toward you, his body becomes limp as it falls. Several scouts emerge from the treeline behind you, comforting you and your mother they escort you to the barracks.

You are Killed:
[[Chapter 2:Rider Approaches]]
After a long days ride with the shooting pains of your wounds still running through your body and sun setting again in the distance , you finally reach your destination, the "Main City" walls. The "Main City" is like nothing you've ever seen before, the huge thick brick walls engraved with steel pillars for stability. In your mind, you think there will be no way anyone can overtake these walls. Walking through the gates you start to experience the atmosphere of the "Main City", the feeling of exciting and limitless possibilities flow through the townsmen. However there is no time to dwell on where you are, there is a war to fight.
In the distance, you begin to hear the roaring of the soldiers during training and the clashing of swords. Walking through the wooden gates into the barracks you are overwhelmed with the amount of professionality of the soldiers and their training regimes.
[[Walk towards the housing complex]]
[[Wait at the gate]]
Adrenaline and instincts kick in, you find yourself running toward what you had set out to run away from. Charging toward a soldier, his back is turned as he is attempting to set a village roof alight. You are unarmed.
[[Push him to the ground]]
[[Find a Weapon]]
Willing yourself to run, you immediately run in the direction of your home. The invading soldiers are slaughtering everyone that they meet, you must avoid them. Hiding in behind some crates in the market, you have two chocies; Run straight through the village and risk being seen, Sneak throughout around outskirts of the village.
[[Run through village]]
[[Sneak around]]
Pushing him to the ground, his torch drops not far to your side. Standing Over him, he starts to roll over onto his front and reaches for his sword.
[[Reach for his sword]]
[[Reach for the Torch]]
[[Attack him with your fists]]
Looking around you find an axe inbedded in some wood. As you pull the axe from a stack of logs, several logs fall from the stack. The soldier ahead turn to face you. He Draws his sword and walks toward you.
[[Charge at him]]
Reaching for his sword, the soldier pushes you to the ground with ease. Unsheathing it he lifts it above you ready to thrust it downward into your body. Turning over onto your knees, you feel the sword cut chest. You can see the village burning around you and its people dying, no sign of the Empire.
Your last breif thoughts are of your mother, and what her fate could possibly have been. You are killed.
[[Chapter 2:Rider Approaches]]
Grabbing the torch you beat the soldier. The first blow hits his head and disorientates him, the second knocks him out. You grab his sword, the soldier is unconcious on the ground.
[[Kill Him]]
[[Leave him]]
You make a pitiful attempt to beat the man. He grabs you first and rolls you onto the ground. He stands and draws his sword. The Torch is by your side to the left. To your right is a opening that leads you under the floorboards of someones home.
[[Roll into opening]]
[[Grab Torch]]
Rolling Under the house, you begin to crawl and struggle further into under the home. The soldier is to large to fit underneath and you have crawled to far inside for him to grab you. You can only see the soldiers feet and the torch beside them. The soldier picks up the torch, you hear it land inside the house above you. Looking around you struggle to the nearest opening to escape.
Exiting the opening, you find yourself trapped. Three soldiers are standing in front of you, behind you is the burning home. Falling to your knee's your last thoughts are of what your mothers fate could possibly be? Is she alive? did she makeit out?
One of the soldier steps forward and stabs you through the chest. You are killed.
[[Chapter 2:Rider Approaches]]
Grabing the torch you swing for the soldiers face. Smaching against his head, ashes scatter and splinters from the torch enter his cheek. The burning splinters stuck within his face. The soldier screams dropping his sword. He attempts to fan out the flames.
Grabbing his sword you thrust it through his chest. You push the man to the ground and remove the sword. You immediatley think of home. Running through the village would get you there fast, but you could be seen. Sneaking around the outskirts would take longer, however it would be safer.
[[Sneak around]]
[[Run through village]]
Running through the town you are disorientated by the burning homes and screams for help. Dead bodies litter the ground making it difficult to get around. Smoke engulfs the passageways between the houses and prevents you from seeing what lays ahead.
Exiting the smokey passageways you find yourself on the edge of the town. Your home is in flames. Its completely destroyed, if your mother was still in there she would not be alive. Approaching the house you see several soldiers pushing several people into the village, their hands bound and the faces covered.
As you try to get closer, a hand grabs your soldier and a hand covers your mouth. As you head turns to see, you notice the armour of an empire scout. He tells you to be quiet as he lets you go. He explains there is nothing more you can do now. They escort you to the Barracks.
[[Chapter 3]]
Sneaking through the outskirts you meet no resistance. There is less screaming and chaos here. Reaching the edge of the village you see your home in flames. [[Chapter 3]]
You head towards the wooden huts where all the soldiers rest during the night. On your way there, you gain the attention of a sergeant. He turns and stares at you, looking you up and down. "Is this the type of soldier that we are recruiting these days, god help us all". He walks off laughing at the thought of you in battle. You stutter while deciding what to reply.
[[ "Any chance you could tell me what hut is empty Sir" ]]
[[ "I'll led this army to victory, just you wait and see ]]
[[ Storm off without asking for help ]]
Waiting at the long wooden gate, you decide to take it all in for moment, closing your eyes and take a deep breath. A loud noise comes from behind you, "MOVE SON! MOVE". You hear the stampeding of horses gaining distance towards you, diving out of the road into a room full of armour of the soldiers. You peek your head round the corner of the door and notice that the solider was the Commander of the army Asgeir. You notice the glissing steel of his chest piece and how strong and energetic his stallion is, even his presence around all the guards is astonishing. "Theon is that you?", Asgeir leeps of his horse and starts walking towards you. Different thoughts start flooding through your mind, "How does he know who I am?" and "Have I met him before". He notices the confusion in your face, "I haven't seen you in years Theon" Asgeir states.
[[ Reply "Sorry commander but how do you know me?" ]]
[[ Smile back ]]
the sergeant turns back and shouts "You'll have to find another man for that, thats not my job private" and storms off towards the fields. In the distance however you see a man with pieces of paper talking to what looks like new recruits. while dragging your feet through what feels like sinking mud you reach the other private who was directing people to there beds. You rest your valuables and your fathers box on the ground and ask "Hi, I'm Theon Dokorahn, could you show me where my room is please?". The private directs you to your room and walks away.
You reach the hut where you have to live during your training. As soon as you open the door two people come rushing towards you "Hi, I'm Skulvar", "Hi, I'm Bjerg", "We are your new roommate, aren't you so excited to learn how to fight, we just can't wait" Bjerg says energetically.
[[ Go to sleep ]]
[[ Talk to Bjerg and Skulvar ]]
With the thoughts of your father spiraling through your head you roared back towards the sergeant that you'll be the one that can led this army to victory. The sergeant turns around and speedly starts to walk back towards you, "You know what kid, I like that you have got some confidence about you. That will get you far in the ranks these days, follow me, i'll show you where to go". You follow the sergeant towards your barracks. On the way there the realisation that this will be your life for however long the war lasts for starts to become a daunting thought.
The sergeant points towards a barrack "That's you kid, there is an empty bed in there, better be quick claiming that one. You open the door only to be greeted by two privates, "Hi, I'm Skulvar", "Hi, I'm Bjerg", "We are your new roommate, aren't you so excited to learn how to fight, we just can't wait".
[[ Go to sleep ]]
[[ Talk to Bjerg and Skulvar ]]
You head towards the barracks, banging on every door with force, demanding that you are given a spare bed that no one has claim. In the distance you hear a faint shout, "Private, what do you think you're doing". Another private starts running towards you at pace, "I'll allocate your room" he says while out of breath. He points to the last hut in the row, "That's yours down there". You pick up for belongings and your father's box and head towards the barracks.
Asgeir is stunned by you not recognising him. He goes on to tell you about how your father and him used to be best friends when they began their training together for the army and how they thought bravely and many huge city defending battles together. He also tells you stories of when he used to visit you and your mother just after your father was killed and watched you grow up over time. With a huge smile on your face you ask "Sounds like my father was a good man commander". Asgeir replies "Yes Theon, your father was one of the greatest men i've ever know, more like a brother to me". "Come Theon, i'll show you about the complex", Asgeir takes you on a tour around the training facilities, you are overwhelmed at how professional every soldier looks and how strong and statured they are. Asgeir points over to your cabin, "That's where you will be staying Theon, put your stuff in and come to my quarters for dinner tonight". You are stumbled by the offer, you don't know how to reply.
[[Accept Offer]]
[[Reject Offer]]
You smile back at Asgeir, "Yeah, how have you been Commander?". Asgeir continues to walk towards you, "I've been good Theon thanks for asking, is this you been drafted, god you have grew up so fast". You still have no clue how the Commander of the "Main Cities" army know who you are. You look down and notice your father's box with all his belongs and remember their was his old torn up journal. You being to walk away, "I'm sorry Commander, but I have to go and find my cabin". Asgeir steps in front of you and points over to your cabin, "That's where you will be staying Theon, put your stuff in and come to my quarters for dinner tonight". You are stumbled by the offer, you don't know how to reply.
[[Accept Offer]]
[[Reject Offer]]
You head straight to your bed, ignoring Bjerg and Skulvar. "Sorry guys but i'm really tired and wanting to go to bed", you find the closest empty bed and throw your valuables and your father's box on them. However the box falls off and breaks opens with a couple of the items falling out. Reaching over to pick up the items you notice that there is an old worn out leather journal, you think to yourself that this must be the journal that your mother was talking about. You lay back on your bed with your father's journal and begin to read until you fall asleep.
[[Next Morning]]
You start walking to an empty bed, "Hi, i'm Theon". Bjerg and Skulvar follow you close by, barraging you with questions. You place your valuables and fathers box on the bed and open it up, Bjerg takes one of your fathers daggers "Wow man, this is cool, who does it belong to". Grabbing the dagger off Bjerg, "It's mine, well was my dads but its mine now". At the bottom of the box you notice the old torn up leather journal that your mother was talking about, you open the journal and all the pieces of paper scatter all over the floor. "It's okay, we will help you pick them up" Bjerg and Skulvar begin to collect all the pieces of paper.
[[Tell them to stop]]
[[Thank them for helping]]
You decide to accept the offer of dinner with the Commander. Asgeir beings to walk away towards the main building of the training facilities, "Okay, follow me to my quarters Theon and we can have dinner". You follow Asgeir through the grand halls of the main building, the walls are covered with artist paintings depicting the most famous battles throughout time. You finally reach the Commanders living quarters, he opens the huge solid oak doors, your eyes widening with sheer disbelief at how big it his. Even the view out of the huge panel windows is breathtaking. You hear the commander calling your name from the dining room, "Come Theon, the feast is ready". The dining room of the house is nothing like you have ever seen, The long, hand carved maple wooden table. With the freshly polished steel cutlery onto of a hand woven table cloth. Even the feast was mouthwatering, a full freshly cooked pig just lay there in the middle of the table for everyone to see.
Later that evening you stand up out of your chair to leave. Asgeir shoots out of his chair "Hope you had a good meal Theon, before you go is there anything that you want to ask?".
[[ Reply: No, its okay ]]
[[ Reply: Yes, Question about Father ]]
[[ Reply: Yes, Question about training ]]
You reject the offer of dinner from the Commander and walk towards your cabin to sleep. The commander shouts "You better be ready for your training tomorrow Theon, you have a lot of pressure with the name you carry". Thoughts start flowing through your mind about the pressure that you will be under being his father's son. You walk into your cabin and find the first empty bed, however two people come rushing towards you "Hi, I'm Skulvar", "Hi, I'm Bjerg", "We are your new roommate, aren't you so excited to learn how to fight, we just can't wait" Bjerg says energetically.
[[ Go to sleep ]]
[[ Talk to Bjerg and Skulvar ]]
You shout at the top of your lungs <i>"STOP TOUCHING MY STUFF"</i>. Bjerg and Skulvar walk towards you bed and place the paper they have collected on the edge of your bed. They walk towards their own beds, Skulvar turns back and says <i>"You know Theon, you need friends to look out for you in this type of world"</i>. You shrug of the comment, shuffle under the extra thin cover and being to read your fathers journal until you doze off and fall asleep.
[[Next Morning]]
You turn to Bjerg and Skulvar with a smile on your face and say <i>"Thanks for helping guys, that was nice of you"<i>. Bjerg looks confused and asks <i>"Theon what's in that journal anyway ?"</i>, you pull out of of the pages and begin reading
“I fear tomorrow will be my last day here. I am leading the troops into battle tomorrow for what i feel may be a trap. My close friend Asgeir wants to be with me until the end. I have requested for him to retreat and grow our forces to protect our families if our end is imminent. My son has not taken an interest in my duties as a soldier since he is too young too understand, I hope he can grow to protect his mother in the future .
I leave through the night with Skagjolf and Fahdril, Asgeir isn’t sure we can trust an elf but with the orc mutations becoming more regular, we need to try something before the Elves become too powerful”.
With a stunned look on your face you turn to Bjerg and Skulvar "Looks like it was my father's diary of some sort". Bjerg and Skulvar return back to their beds. Skulvar turns back, looks towards you and says "It's good to have friends in this world you know Theon, Thanks for being kind". You continue reading the pages of the journal until you fall asleep.
[[Next Morning]]
You stagger out of the dining room after that huge meal, heading to the door. The Commander stands up out of his chair and salutes you, "If you ever need any help Theon, just come and get me. I know your father my life and I would be honored to help yours". You turn and salute back while walking out of the Commanders living quarters door.
You make your way back to your cabin where you left you stuff. However it is already pitch black outside, the only light in the sky is from the torches scattered around the facility or from the beaming stars. You sneak quietly into your cabin, pull the thin torn covers over your chest and dose of to sleep, anxious for what will happen tomorrow.
[[Next Morning]]
You turn back and look at the Commander "How did my father actually die?". The Commander looks caught of guard by the question, "Well, an evil dark elf called Fahdril drove a sword through his heart. The Commander goes on to tell you about how the battle your father died in was a distaster for the army at the time and that thousand of soldiers were slaughtered and this is what drove Fahdril to become so powerful.
After talking to the commander, you leave his living quarters and head to your cabin. By the time you reach your cabin it is already late into the night, you sneak into your bed and fall asleep.
[[Next Morning]]
You notice a recently sharpened steel sword on the floor and pick it up and turn to the commander "Will I be trained to be as good as my father was ?". The commander draws a sword and walks towards you, "You know you father was never the greatest solider when we first started" the commander said. He swings his sword towards you, you quickly block his sword with the one in your hand. The commander smiles towards you and says "You'll be great Theon, just keep your head down and listen to your superiors.
After heading out of the commander's home you make your way back to your cabin where you left you stuff. However it is already pitch black outside, the only light in the sky is from the torches scattered around the facility or from the beaming stars in the sky. You sneak quietly into your cabin, pull the thin torn covers over your chest and dose of to sleep, anxious for what will happen tomorrow.
[[Next Morning]]
"BANG!" the cabin door slams open. you slightly open your eyes see a figure at the corner of your eye. "Come on BOYS! Get ready for some early morning PT", you notice the rank on the soldier's chest that the man is your sergeant. Everyone in your cabin shoots out of their bed and begin to put on their PT gear. You and all the other privates line up and beginning running out the door. At this moment you knew that this will be the toughest four weeks of your life.
[[Chapter Four: Reclaiming the Homeland]]
1 month later...
You emerge from your cabin alongside your fellow soldiers when you see someone on a horse running in from the distant hills. As he gets closer, you notice all other cabins are up and getting their armour and weapons ready.
The man steps off the horse near the centre of the base and begins to shout for all soldiers to hear.
<I><b>"I have just returned from the high command. We are to move tonight at sun down to take back our village and rid our lands of this scum! Make sure you have your equipment prepared, this is our only chance!"</b></I>
With only a few hours left until you leave, you and your cabin mates return to prepare. You quickly run back to your cabin, reaching under your bed for your fathers box and lay his armour on the bed. "This is the moment I've been waiting for".
[[Later that night]]
You look around and you notice all the soldiers starting to line up at the edge of the barracks behind the line of horses. You hear all the soldiers discussing what’s happening from what they've heard. Some say there is another couple of barracks on their way to join the fight. Some heard the village has been abandoned for some time, yet in the distance you hear of people being attacked there just the day before. Skulvar turns around and faces you and Bjerg, "This is it guys, the moment we have trained for".
You and your regiment set off, riding through the night to take revenge on the elfs that slayed your village.
[[The Arrival]]
Throughout the journey there rumours flooded the regiment that the army's intelligence brought back information that the elven forces protecting the village was very small, at least 3 times smaller than the forces of the army. Every soldier is expecting this war to be over within a couple of hours. The closer you get to the village you start to see huge clouds of black smoke caused from the burning of houses and the smell of scorched corpses becomes rife.
You reach the top of the hill just before coming reaching the edge of the village, you see in the distance your sergeant riding towards you."This is where we rest for the now men, We set of at sunset" the sergeant shouts. You lay your swords on the floor and rest on the ground with Bjerg and Skulvar. You notice Bjerg shaking his water bottle to try and get the last drops. You reach for your water and notice your bottle is still pretty full.
[[Offer Bjerg your water bottle]]
[[Offer to go and fill up the bottle of water]]
You look up at Bjerg and offer him your water bottle, Bjergs face lights up with a smile "Thank you Theon, I really needed that". "Friends have to stick together you know Bjerg". You ask Bjerg and Skulvar if they are ready for the fight ahead. Skulvar stands up and reaches for his sword "You're kidding right ? i've been waiting for this moment my whole life, to show that my family isn't some sort of laughing stock". You turn to Bjerg, "What about you Bjerg, are you ready". Bjerg face turns pale white and looks away, "Yeah a..a..am fine, can't wait for it". Thoughts start running through your mind, what if Bjerg isn't ready or his fear causes him to make a major mistake and lose his life.
You continue talking to Bjerg and Skulvar for hours, right until the sun starts to set. You begin to hear the rattling of armour in the distance, turning to your friends you say "Guys, this is it, get ready". Skulvar and Bjerg jump up and begin to get ready.
[[March towards the village]]
You grab the water bottle of Bjerg, "I'll go and see if there is somewhere to fill this up for you, want to go for a walk anyway". You start walking throughout the makeshift camp, searching for a water fountain or somewhere to refill the bottle. However while searching you notice the commander's tent, you make your way over and is stopped by a guard. "Where do you think your going private" the guard asks forcefully. You begin to tell the guard that you know the commander and you just want a chat, you then hear a voice shouting your name "Theon, is that you ?" you turn around and see the commander walking towards you. "Let this young man into my tent soldier" the commander tells the guard. The guard looks embarrassed and waves you on. The commander asks "So, Theon what can I do for you?"
[[Ask about the attack]]
[[Ask for directions for water]]
You hear the soldiers blowing the horns of the "Main city" in the distance, at this moment you knew that we're in a war. Line by line you see each regiment moved forward step by step, marching in sheer harmony as if they have been together for this. This is the moment they have all been waiting for in the month of training.
You reach the bottom of the hill and see that the fight has already started, their are hundreds of dead bodies casted over the ground already with huge arrows plunged in there chest. "WATCH THEON", you're pushed to the ground and notice a arrow in the side of a tree log. You stand up and see Bjerg on the ground, you run over and turn him over "Are you okay Bjerg ??". Bjerg beginnings to laugh "Yeah i'm fine Then, that's you owe me one already". You offer your had to Bjerg and help lift him up. You see your regiment splitting left and right.

You notice a map of your village lay across a wooden table in the middle of your commander's tent, "Any chance you could tell me how we are going to attack the village". The commander waves for you to come over to the table, he then begins to tell you that the intelligence they have gathered tells them that the village is only protect by at most one third of the size of army that you brought and we should worry about strategic plans on how to win the war. You begin to remember reading something in your father journal about a strategy the elfs used in a previous fight about how they would hide soldiers in the woods of a base to give a counter attack if any of these bases are over run. "Commander, but I think we sho...", the commander interrupts you "I'm sorry Theon but I think i've got this battle plan covered. You head out of the commander's tent and head back to Bjerg and Skulvar.
[[Bjerg and Skulvar]]
You place the empty water bottle on the commander's table and notice that there is a map of the village with some notes on it, "Any chance you could show me where I can refill my bottle of water". He hands you over another bottle of water, "Here, keep that one, if that one runs out there is a filling point just east of here". You nod your head with appreciation and head out of the commander's tent. You make your way back towards Bjerg and Skulvar, passing by soldiers that are training to keep themselves warm and seeing others just drinking and singing war songs.
[[Bjerg and Skulvar]]
You find your way back to Bjerg and Skulvar. You begin to tell them about that you noticed a map of your village on the commander's table and notices some of the notes he wrote. Bjerg looks towards your hand and notices you have a different water bottle, Bjerg looks confused and asks "Theon, where is my water bottle". You skirmish through your bag of equipment and through your bottle at Bjerg, "You can have that one, it's still pretty full". "Aww okay then" Bjerg replies. The three of you then start talking about the moment they are about to participate in and how this could be a huge occasion in the history of their city.
You run and try and catch up with your regiment. However out of nowhere comes two elven soldiers, covered head to toe in hand forged elven steel, the greatest of its time. You draw your fathers blades and head towards the tow elfins with Bjerg behind you. One Elf sprints towards you and swings his sword towards your head

Thoughts flood into your mind of the time you read your father's journal where it said that the elves always had an another camp close of major strongholds with high amounts of soldiers in case one got over run. [[Sneak around]]
[[Run through village]]
Arriving on the outskirts of the inner cities, you are in awe of its size. The large walls span the entire length and breadth of the city and rise high into the sky. They are the pride and glory of the empire, they have stood for centuries and have been a reliable defence. You hope that they are able to hold off the Horde.
Your outfit have been sent here for further training and reporting on knowledge gained from your previous fight. You hope that this is a safer place than that of which you left behind. Entering the city, you're greeted by packed streets and ogling citizens. They stare at your ragged attire, they appear to have little faith in your abilities. Word has reached them of your outfits failures and defeat before your arrival.
[[Report in at the Barracks]]
You have been tasked with preparing the defences of the cities walls. The wall spilt into major segments, each divided by large towering structures built into the wall. Along the entire stretch of the wall are catapults and some of the newer cannon's. These are relatively new technology and are handled only by those trained to operate them. Your task is to ensure they are adequately stocked with ammunition.
[[Cannon Training]]
You are awoken by the sounds of hysteria and horns signifying an enemy attack. The Horde have reached far into the Empire's territory so quickly. Troops in your bunk are rattled highlighting that all of the defences further out must have fallen, these words do not help those already fearful.
Getting to your feet, you prepare for battle. Exiting the living quarters, you head to your position in preparation for any further orders. Reaching the top of the wall you look out into the darkness and see a plethora of torch light in the distance. The sound of marching armies thuds in the night as loud as thunder.
Panicking, the soldier to your right asks "There must be at least fifty thousand of them out there! How are we supposed to hold them off?!"
[[These walls are strong, we can hold them back]]
[[Stop panicking, we've trained for this! Ready the cannon]]
[[I hope these walls live up to their history...]]
[[...]]
The Horde has broken through the Outer walls. This strong structure has been breached for the first time in its history, its gate blown apart like papers in the wind...
Calls from an officer commanding a retreat to the inner circle for the defence of the King. The advance of the enemy will be through the inner city, the next line of defence is the inner circle.
[[Attempt to slow the enemy advance]]
[[Head to the inner circle]]
Retreating into the Palace with the Royal Guard, you barricade the doors behind you. The King stands in fear behind you and the small minority of men that still stand. The horde pounding on the door that is inadequately barricaded. There is no way out and little chance of survival.
The King begins to buckle under the overwhelming reality that soon he and everyone in this room will be dead. He begins muttering "we are all going to die in here" and appears to be in shock. Several members of the Royal Guard are rattled by the Kings words and begin to panic.
The barricaded door is breached and Elven soldiers rush through into the tiny space killing the first few men with ease. You and the remainder of soldiers put up a good fight taking down many of the Elven soldiers as the enter the room. As you start to tire you are wounded in the leg. As a Elf charges at the king you thrust yourself in front of him.
You are Killed.
Arriving at the inner city barracks you are directed to your living quarters. A large room with two rows of bunks, one on either side of the room. Troops are filling up the room and are preparing for rest, It has been a long journey from your home province.

He replies "I hope so... This is going to be a tough fight"
You have no real confidence in the abilities of the Empire. you have seen first hand the devastation the enemy horde is capable of. However, now is not the time to spread fear.
The commanding officer gives the order to load the cannons and trebuchets. Loading the cannon you can't help but feel the futility of firing randomly into a force this size. The Horde draws closer, the thunderous roar of each and everyone of their steps grows louder and louder. You can feel the vibrations of thousands of enemy soldiers marching toward you.
[[Yeah, one shot from this is bound to take out a few of them at least]]

The Walls stand at around 70 ft, large white glistening structures. They completely surround the city and have protected the Capital for centuries. Looking outward there is seemingly endless farmland.

Since the birth of the Empire this palace has protected the Royal family, its walls standing 20ft tall. The inner grounds of the Palace contain gardens and golden treasure turtles. The main buildings include; living quarters and a barracks for the Royal Guard, The Royal home, and The Courts (where all of the decision making is done).

[[Go to the City Square]]
[[Return to barracks]]
The city square has serves as the main hub of the city. Market stall and traders line the streets and sell goods to all of the citizens of the city. The coblestone streets are overrun with people being drawn in by preachers spouting religion and installing fear among the masses.

[[Go to the Royal palace]]
[[Return to barracks]]
Returning to the barracks, you head to sleep. Laying in bed, you are anxious of the training that you will receive therein the inner city. However, the possibilities available for you here excite you. You have finally made it to the city you have been dreaming off, even if it is under circumstances you never thought you would find yourself in.
[[Wake up drill]]
You are awoken by your commanding officer, today you will be given your posts and roles for the defence of the city. Things are much more relaxed he in the city. The frontline against the horde far from here, there is no real immediate fear of an attack. The change in pace is both welcomed and questioned. Although you are far away from the closest battlefield, the cities lack of fear for the horde concerns you.
Reporting to the command building you await your assignment to a post. You have been assigned the role of Watchman of the walls. This position will see you perched on top of the wall in command of a cannon.
[[Accept this role]]
[[Request scout duty]]
Pleased with you assignment to the wall, you are happy to serve as protector of the structures. This role will see you take charge of the Empire's newest weapon, the cannon. This new piece of technology was born out of the Empire's need for a longe range siege weapon to be used both in the defence and offence of battle.
After assigning you with your orders, Asgier calls you "I placed you on the wall for your own sake, you have seen enough of battle. I hope you never need to be in shit as deep as what we experienced back home. Report to the wall commander for you duties, Good Luck"
[[Report to the Wall Defences ]]
Watchmen of the walls is a position that would see you perched high above the battle, with little battle training and experience. With your experience and grudge with the horde, you want to be more directly involved in the battle.
You respectfully decline the assignment you are given and ask to be assigned to the scouts. Asgier looks at you in horror, he is disheartened by your request. He had personally asked for you to be assigned to the wall, here he knew you would be out off the frontlines. He begrudgingly accepts your request. "I really hoped you would be done with this war, but if this is what you need to do, I won't stop you. Report to the forward positions just beyond the wall, you are dismissed"
[[Report to the Forward Defenses ]]
Arriving at the forward positions, you report to your commander. The commanding officer of the scouts is somewhat of a legend. He is famous for his ruthless tactics and for getting results, regardless of the cost.
"The scouts are the frontline defence of the Empire, the are tasked with gathering intel on the enemy elven horde and holding the front lines. if you are to be a scout you'll need to train like one"
[[Combat Training]]
"A few!? Those fools are marching so close together that it'll likely take out at least 10 of them'
[[Fire the cannons]]
"Here I was thinking I was the pessimistic one..."
[[Fire the cannons]]
"...It's a bit late to be asking those kinds of questions kid"
[[Fire the cannons]]
A barage of cannon fire rains down on the enemy as they charge forward. The light from the explosions light up the entire length of the wall and illuminate the enemy bellow. Streaks of enemy soldiers are carved out of the vast body of soliders, however it is miniscule in comparison to those still standing.
Reloading the cannon you fire immediatley. A constant sound of cannon fire can be heard as the wall fires shot after shot into the horde. By the fourth shot, the enemy has reached the scouts in the forward defence positions in front of the wall. They are almost immediatley overrun. The order is given for you and several other firing squads to get to the front gate to hold it.
[[Hold the Gate]]
As you arrive at the front gate, the enemy has already begun attempting to breakthrough, however they lack seige weapons.
The small force of me assigned to the gate are pressed against the door in a desperate attempt to hold back the Elves.
[[Barricade the entrance]]
You and some soldiers grab extra wood to barricade the gates, carts are placed behind the gates to try and reinforce it. Large thuds hit the door thumping the gates and the makeshift reinforcements. Cracks start to show high on the wooden gate as a heavey seige weapon batters it from the other side.
The seige log crashed through the gate leave a large hole. The heads of elves can be seen as the attmept to clamber through the gaping hole.
[[Defend the King!]]
Cannon training started Immediately. You soon learned the entire ins and outs of the machine, how it works and how to best use it in battle. For the next several weeks this all you do, the cannons are your life. Training is grueling, meticulous and tedious. You are constantly performing the same tasks day in and day out, mastering the art of cannon warfare.
[[The calm before the storm]]
Scout training Is exhausting. From the break of dawn until sunset you are subjected to a number of training exercises including; Hand to hand combat, camouflage in battle, archery and sword fighting techniques. The constant rigorous training regime consumes all of your time. The city you have always been dreaming off lay just out of reach.
[[Enemy Intel]]
You have become accustomed to city life, settling in the war seems like a distant memory. Constant training has kept you well prepared, however there appears to be no concern from your military commanders of any attacks. The Elven horde has scaled back raids on the Empire's outer lying cities and it appears to be peaceful.
Dreaming of the possibilities available to you after your service for the military is complete, you become excited. Drawing up plans for a future that you had always dreamed of having.
[[The Sleepless night]]
The enemy advance can not be stopped, breaching the walls they are pillaging homes and murdering all that are in their path. They only way to hinder their advance is to block their passage further into the city.
Setting a fire in several homes, it spreads quickly engulfing homes and blocking streets. The pathways leading into the city are blocked off leaving you stuck in the breached area with the Elven Horde.
[[Fight to the last]]
Arriving at the inner circle you are met with several hundred Royal Guards who have been hold up in the place. They have not participated in the battle as of yet and have been given strict orders to protect the palace at all costs. They refuse to grant you entry to the place.
As the enemy horde rushes through the small intertwining city streets, the Royal Guard retreat into the palace walls.
[[Fight to the last man]]
[[Fall Back to aide the King]]
Knowing that you have prevented the further advance of the horde into the city, you know you can not make it out alive. In preventing the advance of the horde you have also prevented your escape. You can only hope that you have provided enough time for people to be evacuated.
Standing with your blades drawn and a fiery salient behind you, you confront the enemy head on. You valiantly run forward taking down two Elven soldiers before your story comes to an end.
You are killed.
You follow bjerg to the left and surprise the enemy from behind, with the surprise you drive one of your blades into the back of an elven soldier. You grab the attention of all the elven soldiers and they start charging at you. Arrows start flying towards you, finding cover you dive behind an abandoned carriage. However you turn your head round and see that an arrow has scraped your leg when you were retreating, it was only a flesh wound so you can continue on. You peek your head round the edge of the carriage and see an elven soldier running towards you.

[[Jump out and fight]]
You follow Skulvar to the right and manoeuvre through empty farmhouse, using stealth as an advantage. You and Skulvar then sneak behind the enemy and drive your daggers into an elf's back and flip them over. Both of you then take on the rest of the elfs one by one, slaining any of them that come at you. However you quickly become overwhelmed with the amount of elf soldiers and become surrounded, you then have two choices Fight or flee.

[[Flee Elfs]]
You stay hidden behind the carriage and wait for the elven soldier to pass. You then jump out and see that there is now even more elven soldiers than before and see Bjerg being surrounded by two evlin soldiers doing his best to defend himself. You draw your blades and sprint towards Bjerg. You see Bjerg block an attack from one elven soldier and then leaves one side of his body completely open. The other elf tries to drive his sword into Bjergs side, however you just reach there in time and block the sword. Then using you other blade attack the elf, forcing him back. The elf then runs towards you with his sword in the air. You dodge his attack and slash his side, however the elf turns around and strikes your back, leaving a nasty cut. You then use your final draw of your energy to stand up and drive your blades into his chest.

You draw your blades and jump out from behind the carriage to confront the elven soldier. You undergo a tough 1 verses 1 battle with the elf using all your training and experience trying to overcome him but nothing is working so far. You then remember reading something in your father's journal that quoted something along the lines of "Elf's are blessed with a gift of begin tall, try to bring them down to your own size", then notice that the carriage has wheels on it. You jump behind the carriage and ram it into the elvins body, causing him to fall to the ground. While the elf is on the ground you quick use your advantage to disarm him and thrust your blades into his chest, bursting through his armour.

[[Look around]]
You and Skulvar turn to each other, look into each other's eyes and nod. Both of you knew that if you just tried to run that you would just be captured and kill. You wipe the blood off your blades, look to the sky and say "This is for you Father". You and Skulvar run towards the elfs and with your adrenaline pumping, blood shooting through your veins, slaying elfs one by one, you cut a hole through the group of elven soldiers and make your escape. You turn back and see the devastation that this war was, thousands of bodies everywhere, mostly human. Realising that the intelligence given to the army was completely wrong and this cause the attempt to take back your homeland to be a huge disaster. Looking around you cannot find any sight of Bjerg, you grab a soldier that you knew from training and asked him to point out where the last time he seen Bjerg was. He points to a burning farmhouse. You make your way over there and see he has been knocked out by a large plank of wood, too heavy to lift yourself. You see that the building is starting to collapse.
[[Aid Bjerg]]
[[Ask for Help]]
You try to run away from the group of Elven soldiers, however a arrow from one of the infantrymen catches you in your thigh causing you to fall. The Elf's catch up with you and surround your body, you see Skulvar turn back and try to save you. You wave him away telling him to save himself. One of the elf's then draw their sword and impale it into your heart, killing you straight away.

You reach the burning building and see Bjerg knocked out under a huge plank of wood. You try lifting the plank of wood but it is far too heavy.
[[Aid Bjerg]]
[[Ask for Help]]]
Putting all sense aside, you enter the burning building to try and help bjerg yourself. You scramble around searching for something to help you move the large wooden plank. You find a broken off steel pole, and prying the pole under the plank. This gives you just enough room to pull Bjerg out from underneath the wood. You throw Bjerg over you shoulder and carry him out. Just when you're about to leave the building you get struck with a large, in flames, plank of wood forcing you to the ground. "Right men, we have been given orders to head back to the inner city to gather our forces and report on our findings on the enemy" the sergeant shouts.
[[Chapter 5: Holding back the horde]]]
A report reaches your Commander detailing what would appear to be severed communication lines between one of your forward operating bases. No word has been heard in several weeks, and their next update is several days late. Several Riders are appointed to ride out to the base to check up on them. They have two days of riding before they will return.
[[Awoken]]
As the Elven Horde makes it way through the village you come to terms with the fact there is no escape for you. The city is doomed, The walls have been breached and all of the citizens within them are prey to the onslaught of seemingly never ending Elves.
This is your last Stand. Charging forward with your blades held high you decapitate several Elves. You soon become overwhelmed and take wound after wound. Your last thoughts are of your mother and your life at home before the war.
You are killed.
Several days later, you are awoken late at night with sounds of panic and dismay. The scouts have returned with word of a large scale Elven Horde attack. They Warning bells are rung and the Forward operating base is to be immediatley abandoned, all scouts are to fall back to the wall.
Mounting your hourse you can feel the movements of the vast enemy force, the vibrations of their footsteps shaking the earth. As you and your regiment enter the main gate, the vaste armemant of cannons and trebuchets open fire on the enemy.
