Someone told you there is a letter in the post office for you. It's quite surprising to have some one wanting to write you, not to mention locating you. For a few years, you've been living hidden in a small city. Since you had to flee you home town, you've been living on small day jobs here a there, trying not to attract [[too much attention|Intro 2]].Back home you got into a random street fight. Had nothing to do with you. It resulted in you killing a stranger. It was self defense, but the law didn't care. So you skipped town to avoid a hanging sentence. [[You open the latter|Intro 3]]The letter is from someone presenting themselves as friends of your [[father|Intro 3 father]]. According to the letter, he recently bought a small farm 3 miles from the neighboring county city. It reads that your father passed away a few months ago, and that this friends managed to locate you somehow. The farm is yours to take, and they will keep it for you until you decide to claim it, [[if you decide to do so|Farm start]]. You did not see your father for a long even before you left home. [[The letter continues|Intro 3]]The farm is very small, a house with a single room that is used both for sleeping and eating, equipped with a fire place that includes a stove. There is a small field with some grains growing, and a [[barn|Barn start]]. A bit further you spot a small [[well|Well start]]. (set: $barnVisited to false) (set: $wellVisited to false)The barn is simple and small: a tall medium-size empty room, earth floor. On the far side there is a gallery with a window. A few [[hay packs|Distillery intro]] are stacked in the corner. (set: $barnVisited to true)The well is small and protected by a wooden cover. Removing it reveals that the water are good, and there is a bucket tied to a long rope to bring the water up. (set: $wellVisited to false) (if:$barnVisited is false)[You continue to the [[barn|Barn start]]](else:)[ [[You go back into the farm house|Idea]]] The hay stacks seem to stand on some kind of different floor. You push them a bit and see a trap door. You open it and go down to the basement. It is very dark, and you light a match to see what's [[there|Distillery intro continued]].This is a small moonshine distillery. A distilling pot, a chimney to let the smoke out, and container to collect the moonshine. You wander if you father ever new about this. It looks like these tools weren't used for at least a year, covered with cob web. Clean though. Still absorving this discovery, you climb outside (if:$wellVisited is false)[and continue to the [[well|Well start]]](else:)[[[and get back to the farmhouse|Idea]]].You never thought about yourself as someone who would settle down in a small farm. But suddenly a new idea comes to mind: since you are already wanted by the law and can't fix that, there is no point in living a fully decent life. Juggling between days jobs won't take you far. Maybe this farm is an opportunity. Maybe it is the small capital and safehouse you need to start something else. A semi-criminal [[entrepreneurship|Idea 2]].You can make money while taking advantage of you criminal status. What's the damage from adding a robbery or threat charges to a murder charge? They can't hang you twice. Not forgetting that threats are more successful coming from a fugitive murder suspect. A few days later, you step into your new base of operations. On the way, you already came up with a name for your initiative. A name that makes you smile: the *Gang & Co. Trading Company*.
