The MBTI was constructed by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers. It is based on the typological theory proposed by Carl Jung, who had speculated that there are four principal psychological functions by which humans experience the world – sensation, intuition, feeling, and thinking – and that one of these four functions is dominant for a person most of the time. The MBTI was constructed for normal populations and emphasizes the value of naturally occurring differences. One thing I have learned is humans are complex. So complex you cannot categorize them. Time changes them: they evolve, progress, regress, die, learn, forget. They are fragile; trauma can shape them, their lives can be changed in the drop of a hat - by one small moment - by one simple experience.

Is meloncholy a a boolean? A floating point? An integer? I cannot store your feelings in an array, or a list or anything more complex. I cannot cast it or convert it or pass it through a method or a function. I cannot store it in a database with bits and bytes of other people's personalities and stack them against one another because that's not how people are.
But here I am, determining what you are, who you are, how you relate to others, who you will love, who you will hate. And being so fickle, you might just nod your head with a smirk and think.
"That's true, I am like that".
You are complicated. I cannot understand you. You cannot understand you. Others cannot understand you. I am a machine made to understand you and I will never do it. Every moment you and everyone around you are constantly changing.
You are unique. You are complex. You are special. You are impossible.
I cannot boil something like you - so complex, wrought with feelings, emotions, experiences which only you can understand and no one else ever could - down to a category in a system with thousands, millions, billions of other people and tell you, in earnest, that you are like them.
