You barely make it up the wall before you fall back down and land awkwardly on your arm. As you walk you get further and further away from your only light source. You come across a skeleton holding a torch and a dagger. Now is your chance at some protection [[ Disturbed the dead and grab it's gear ]] or on second thought it could be a trap, [[ Leave the dead alone]]You grab the gear. As soon as you go to walk away the skeleton stands and reaches for you. You scream in panic and really only had two options raise the sword and [[Battle the skeleton]] or do not be the hero and [[ Run away from the dead man]] Inventory: Short sword and Torch.You walk past the dead not wishing to disturb it. You come across a split in the path, one that continues to the [[North]] and the other to the [[East]] You battle the dead with your newfound sword and within a few swings you down the dead man. As it falls apart it takes one last swing and manages to claw your chest. You notice the skeleton has a kay in its eye socket and scoop it up. You light the torch light; you see a tunnel. You did not see until now. You stumble into the wall and fall through it. The light of the hole in the ceiling slowly fades and all you can hear is the beating of your own heart. Your right foot pushes down on a tile that makes a noticeable click noise. In your heart you know it’s a trap. You have few options. [[Pick up your foot]] and risk the trap killing you or [[Try to get a better look]]You push on to the east. You cannot see anything but the darkness that has swallowed you hole and the further you go, the more you recognize your mistake of not grabbing the torch. Go back and [[ Disturbed the dead and grab it's gear ]] Or stick to your morals and push [[ Further East]]Stumbling to the ground through the wall. You crawl backwards trying to escape the creature chasing you. The monster seems content not to follow you. You stand to look over the room and light the torch to get a better view. It was a tiny room with weapons hanging on the wall and no exits. You could [[Loot the Cobble stone room]] or [[Leave the room alone]] and not die like so many before you.Gathering your courage, you follow the secret tunnel. Cramped and filled with mold you become excited to see it split into two separate paths. Head [[West]] or follow the tunnel as it leads into [[Stairs]] that lead down.You take the chance and lift your foot. It is the last thing you do, as arrows fill your body. [[ You have died ]] You bend down to get a better look at the trap and realize by dropping to the floor you will avoid it completely. Arrows shoot above you as your drop completely down. Leaping back to your feet you move slowly around the corner. You grumble as you come all the way back around and stare at the corridor leading [[East]]You do not sway from your morals and push further East. You slow as you see purple markings along a wall that glowed brightly. You don’t understand the marking but you are entranced by them. You reach out to the markings [[Touch the Markings]] or remember the rule of not touching things in a dungeon and [[Leave the markings alone]]You reach out and touch the Markings. Voices fill your head and now you know the secrets of the magic that has laid dormant inside of you. You are only talented enough to understand one spell at this point. Choose between the two spells that you could call upon. [[Firebolt]] a spell that flings flames out of your fingertips or [[Heal]] and as the spell sounds, you could heal yourself or an innocent.You turn away from the markings not wanting to take a chance with them. The monster fully steps out of the wall and its string enough to fully hoist you into the air. Everything goes black and you only know pain. [[ You have died ]] You give up on trying to heal noting that the magic seems to drain what energy you have left. Instead, you fight back with everything you have left. Kicking, punching, scratching, and biting. A kick lands against the monster’s chest and he must drop you. You have only a moment to think, you see a loose piece of granite and it might be a decent weapon. You could [[Grab the granite shank]] but that could be a risk. You [[ Dont risk it and tackle the monster]] Health (set: $health to 20) (print: '<progress value="' + (text: $health) + '" max="100"></progress>')You grab the piece of granite and drive it into the monster’s throat again and again until it stops moving. You have done it. You have killed the monster. [[Heal up]] or don’t risk and [[Push further east]] <audio autoplay> <source src="C:\Users\johnm\OneDrive\Desktop\Sound_Images_Demo\Assets\Asset_Battle.wav" ></audio>You dont have much stamina left in you, but you dont want to die.Your body screams in pain and your mind attempts to block out the agony. You have to heal and hope everything will be okay. It wont be though, you pass out. [[You wake]] Health (set: $health to 100) (print: '<progress value="' + (text: $health) + '" max="100"></progress>')Wounded but not wanting to fall asleep in this horrid place you push on. You come to a door with more marking, but these ones are blue. There is a small stair case leading up. What to do? You could always [[Try to solve the door]] but the staircase leads back to safety. So maybe [[Take the staircase]]You awake and immediately jump to your feet. The room is massive and made from bloodstone. An old man approaches you. His long white hair and beard hide most of his face. He was tall and lean though and his black robes covered every inch of his body. Do you want to ask him [[What he wants]] you could find a weapon you need one, everything you had with you is gone. [[Search for weapons]] Or you have learned to be brave. You could draw upon that strength and [[Wait for him]] You reach out and touch the door. That is the last thing you remember. [[You wake]]You take a deep breath and all though injured you take the staircase. Each step feeling like you arw walking on glass shards and each breath feels like you breathing out flames. Their is a large wooden door [[Try to open the wooden door]] or [[Head back down]]Feeling like you have been ran over already. You reach out to open the wooden door, sharp and sudden pain explodes through your chest. You lift your hand off the handle of the door and place it on the spear that now protrudes from your chest. Oldest trick in the dungeon book and you fell for it. [[ You have died ]] You turn around and head back downstairs. As you take the stairs, it dawns on you that this is not where you walked up at. The setting has completely changed and now it appears you’re in a completely different place. There is three hallways to choose from. [[Hallway one]] [[Hallway two]] [[ Hallway three]] The hallway was paved stone and torches lined the walls giving away plenty of light. The hallway suddenly ends at an archway but through that archway you stumble upon a room with items littering the floor and old wooden tables. [[Loot the room]] although you haven’t risked it yet [[Hallway two]] or [[ Hallway three]]The hallway was soaked with what you hope is water, up to your ankles. Sloshing through the muck for what felt like forever. You come a large iron door with light coming from underneath the door. [[Go through the door]] or head back and go through [[Hallway one]] or even [[ Hallway three ]] You still have no weapons and access too little to no magic. You scoop up some weaponry, but as soon as you do so the archway vanishes. Portions of the wall creak as they turn revealing a door and a towering Ogre. [[Thrust the spear forward]] or [[Fall backwards]] away from the Ogre. Inventory: Spear (set: $health to 50) (print: '<progress value="' + (text: $health) + '" max="100"></progress>')You thrust the spear in deeper into the Ogre, but you dint have much stamina left and your health is already almost depleted. The Ogre ignores the spear completely and with a single chop of its maw ends your adventure into the Last Dungeon. [[ You have died ]] You fall backwards as the Ogre attempts to bite your head off. Ogre blood spills all over you, as you hit the ground. [[Roll away]] and leave the spear or [[Drive the spear through]]The Ogre is almost on top of you. You roll away and look for another weapon close by. [[Sword]] or [[Axe]]Falling backwards you hit the ground and as the monster attempts to devour you, you drive the spear all the through the monster. The Ogre roars in pain and blood fills your mouth and eyes. The Ogre falls on top of you pinning you to the ground. It lets out a death rattle and so do you. [[ You have died ]] Grabbing the sword, you charge the Ogre. It roars and swings at you, but you roll away and with few swings drop it to the ground. You kick out your foot and drive the spear through the beast. Dropping the weapon into the beast head it lets out a death rattle. You let out a nervous chuckle and slide to the ground. The spear is lost but you grab the other weapon. Now do you [[Risk Healing]] or [[Push forward!]] Inventory: Short Sword and Hand Axe Grabbing the axe, you charge the Ogre. It roars, spittle lands all over your face. The monster swings at you, but you are roll away and with few swings to the monsters legs you drop it to the ground. You kick out your foot and drive the spear through the beast. Dropping the weapon into the beast head it lets out a death rattle. You let out a nervous chuckle and slide to the ground. The spear is lost but you grab the other weapon. Inventory: Hand Axe and Short sword Health (set: $health to 50) [[Risk Healing]] or [[Push forward!]]You have no choice but to heal. Your body was ripped asunder. You flood your body with healing magic, you try to stay awake but you can’t and fall to the ground. [[You wake]] You push forward again believing that there is no way you can rest. You weave through the small corridor and are awestruck when you suddenly you can breathe air from the outside world. The tunnel ends and you stand in a room with a tree growing from it to the outside world. Maybe the tree leads to freedom [[Climb the tree]] or [[Travel further into the dungeon]] Damaged, tired, and not wanting to die you [[Push forward!]] into the dungeon leaving the damaged Ogre behind. Health (set: $health to 50) Inventory: Grabbing the weapon, you charge the Ogre. It roars and swings at you, but you roll away and with few swings drop it to the ground. You kick out your foot and drive the spear through the beast. Dropping the weapon into the beast head it lets out a death rattle. You let out a nervous chuckle and slide to the ground. The spear is lost but you grab the other weapon. Now do you [[Risk Healing]] or [[Push forward!]] Inventory: Short Sword and Hand Axe Inventory: Short Sword and Hand AxeYou climb the tree to the forest above you and about cry from the excitement of escaping. You can always come back when you are more prepared. Congratulations! You have beat the dungeon.You are not done yet. You walk past the tree but you were not prepared for [[The Fall]] Shoving your hand into the monsters mouth, you start chanting the words to the incantation. The monsters eyes widen in fear, as glowing orange runes float around you. The firebolt blares out from your finger tips and the monsters head explodes. Leaving nothing but a crater where its head should have been. You laugh loudly but your head spins and you pass out. [[You wake]] The monster wraps his long fingers around your throat and crushes down. You reach up to try to pry his fingers away from your throat but to no avail. He has won this battle and the air has no way out, it fills up your lungs and your head get’s light. You try to scream but only a gurgle gets out. Before you can die from suffocation, it snaps your neck. [[ You have died ]] Heading west with torch and sword gripped tightly in hand. The passageway leads to an archway overgrown with vines. The room had a bonfire that danced the room with shadows. The room had to have something useful in it. You could [[Search]] the room or your luck has not been the best maybe you should turn back for the [[Stairs]]You journey through the spiraling stairs weapon gripped so tightly your hand hurts. The torch is barely giving off any light at this point, the flame dimmed and with it your sight. Scratching, so loudly it woke you from your daydream can be heard ahead. You grip your weapon tighter preparing for combat. You see the beast, a hound the size of a horse so large it could barely fit out the room it was in. Flames from its eyes and mouth leaked forth scorching the floor beneath it. It was a hellhound of old and most tales of hellhounds end in the hero being burned to a crisp. You might be able to [[Out run the hellhound]] the other option was [[Fight the Hellhound]] <img src="C:\Users\johnm\OneDrive\Desktop\Sound_Images_Demo\Assets\Asset_D2.jpg">You search the room. You do not get far before several goblins burst into the room weapons drawn for conflict. Will you [[Fight the goblins]] or race back for the [[Stairs]] Four goblins total. Easy you tell yourself as you charge forth. You light the first one aflame and stab another. A dagger glances your side and another stabs into your leg. You flinch in pain but there is no stopping now. You shove the torch into one’s mouth and kick the last one down. You pounce on the down one and drive your sword into it. You have defeated the goblins. You stand and chuckle to yourself. You might be an actual hero now. [[Loot the goblins room]] or the goblins have nothing to give [[Push forward!]] Inventory: Sword and Torch Health (set: $health to 60) (print: '<progress value="' + (text: $health) + '" max="100"></progress>') <audio autoplay> <source src="C:\Users\johnm\OneDrive\Desktop\Sound_Images_Demo\Assets\Asset_Battle.wav" ></audio>Even goblins might have something useful to collect. You collect the daggers and stumble upon a shield. You also find a small bed but big enough for you to sleep in. Get some rest? [[You wake]] or [[Push forward!]] You pull a weapon from the wall. Suddenly two more doors appear and open up with a loud thud. Head [[West]] or follow the tunnel as it leads into [[Stairs]] that lead down.You leave the room not wantng to fall for such a obvious trap. In doing so you see a tunnel barely visible thanks to the torch. Explore the [[ Secret Tunnel ]] or gather your courage and [[Battle the skeleton]] You spin and race away from the Hell Hound. The hounds’ growls and barks deafen you as they echo off the tight corridors. You could feel it before the entire staircase lit up, the Hell Hound breathed a gout of fire after you. You hit the ground but still some of you was lit on fire. You roll to your feet and notice the Hound was not coming after you. Not for a lack of trying. The hound tried its best to move but looked thoroughly stuck. Now here is your chance [[Race away]] The hellhound does not look like it’s going to go anywhere, [[Investigate the Hound]] (set: $health to 70) (print: '<progress value="' + (text: $health) + '" max="100"></progress>')Throwing the torch at the Hell Hound you dive in. The hound shoots forth flames but you tuck and roll up between its legs and drive your sword into its chest. The Hound screams and thrashes around. [[Stab again]] or you see the hound has no way of turning around you could [[Get behind]] the hound.You spin to race away from the monster another gout of flame causes you drop to the ground again. You crawl on your belly to escape the horse sized monster. More flames and more flames. You are not fast enough and before you know you realize the beast doesn’t have to directly hit you to kill you. It was baking you alive, you can’t even fight back or scream in pain before you die. [[ You have died ]] Putting down the torch and sword you approach the hound speaking to it in soothing tones. The hound thrashes against the wall, forcing you to your stomach. You keep up on your efforts until you are at the hound itself. The large dog whimpers and licks your hands and face. It hurts but you allow it. It takes a long time for you to get the dog to allow you to assist but finally you get him free. The Hound leaps to and fro, excited he is finally free of the doorway he was stuck in. The dog races down the stairs barking. Turning around you see the Hell Hound was protecting massive room filled full of weapons, books, and potions. Wincing at the wounds all over your body this could be a good place for a rest. You stare at a chair and yet again tempted to rest [[You wake]] Or of course [[Looting]] comes to mind. The other option is to leave whatever put the Hell Hound here. There was no dust on the books after all. [[Leave the room]] (set: $health to 60) (print: '<progress value="' + (text: $health) + '" max="100"></progress>')You stab again at the hound’s chest, but you made the beast desperate and so it slams it weight down and breathes flames upon itself. The Hell Hounds flesh was immune to fire, but you are not. In flash of agony [[ You have died ]]Moving swiftly, you get behind the Hell Hound and hack at its legs until it drops down. You climb upon its body and quickly finish the Hell Hound off for good. Turning around you see the Hell Hound was protecting massive room filled for of weapons, books, and potions. Wincing at the wounds all over your body this could be a good place for a rest. You stare at a chair and yet again tempted to rest [[You wake]] Or of course [[Looting]] comes to mind. The other option is to leave whatever put the Hell Hound here would be back. There was no dust on the books after all. Investgate the [[ Red sword]] first. Investgate the [[ Strange Book ]] Investigate the [[ Black Dagger ]] Turning to leave the room, you glimpse the sapphire eye monster reaching out towards you. Pain. Fear. Nothing. [[ You have died ]] Gripping the flaming sword, you charge back in. The monster lifts his hand again, but this time you are prepared for it. Standing your ground against the magic of the Sapphire eyed beast. You only get moved instead of thrown and before the monster can do it again. You are on top of it, swinging the blazing sword against time and time again. Finally, the monster drops and with a thrust you out your sword through its heart. You turn back to examine the room. A voice behind you whispers, "My treasures." The monster still had some life. The floor shoots down with you on it. Everything was flashing past you now. You drop down and hold onto the ground. The floor finally stops and now some place new. Your body is close to giving up. Do you give into the need? You approached; it was laying on a large wooden shelf. Gently you reached out for it. You felt life draining from you, a sudden tug on your very soul. Spinning towards the pull. The monster behind you had sapphire eyes, purple flesh and had tendrils squirming from its face and chest. Life was slipping from you, and you can tell it was feeding the sapphire eyed beast. [[ Grab the book]] or [[Charge the Sapphire eyed monster]]The small black dagger called to you. It was laying on a large wooden desk. Gently you reached out for it. You felt life draining from you, a sudden tug on your very soul. Spinning towards the pull. The monster was behind you. It has sapphire eyes, purple flesh and had tendrils squirming from its face and chest. Life was slipping from you and you can tell it was feeding on you. [[Throw the Black dagger]] or [[Charge the Sapphire eyed monster]] Inventory: Short sword, Torch and Black Dagger (set: $health to 20) (print: '<progress value="' + (text: $health) + '" max="100"></progress>') <audio autoplay> <source src="C:\Users\johnm\OneDrive\Desktop\Sound_Images_Demo\Assets\Asset_Battle.wav" ></audio>You throw the black dagger at the sapphire eyed beast. The dagger splits into three separate daggers and all three of them land hits. The beast does not make any noise. It lifts his hands and green mist roils out of his fingertips. You stumble backwards and wish you had the dagger back. The dagger re-appears in your hand. You laugh out loud and start your assault. Dancing through the room, you throw the dagger again and again. The monster finally screamed out. Whether out of pain or frustration, as the green tendrils have not touched you yet, but the monster was bleeding now. [[Keep up the assault]] (set: $health to 20) (print: '<progress value="' + (text: $health) + '" max="100"></progress>')Feeling the life drain from you. You spin and charge the creature hoping the fact it had no weapons on it meant it was not used to conflict. You race forward weapon held high. The creature only tilts its head and then darkness. [[ You have died ]] The fog rolled forth and almost had the room completely filled. You hop onto the desk and throw the dagger again and again. The sapphire eyed creature lifts his hands and life flowed from your body and into its mouth. The fog was also lifting and now getting close to touching you. [[Leap towards]] the monster or [[Aim for the eyes]]You leap towards the creature and the fog engulfs you. For a brief moment you feel fine and then you feel nothing not even your own soul. [[ You have died ]] Adjusting for how the black dagger works you leap and throw it one last time. The dagger split into three and two drove into its eyes and one into its forehead. The sapphire eyed monster takes three steps back and falls backwards on to the ground. The fog disappears. You did it, you killed it. You walk over to the monster and stab it in the heart to make sure it stays dead. You wobble on your feet for a moment. You are close to death now. Go for a rest? [[You wake]] Do not risk falling asleep now. [[Examine the room]] (set: $health to 20) (print: '<progress value="' + (text: $health) + '" max="100"></progress>')You turn back to examine the room. A voice behind you whispers, "My treasures." The monster still had some life. The floor shoots down with you on it. Everything was flashing past you now. You drop down and hold onto the ground. The floor finally stops and now some place new. Your body is close to giving up. Do you give into the need? The sword grew warmer and warmer than flames shot forth from the weapon. The sapphire eyed monster retreated backwards. You push forward and with several swings the monster was aflame and screeching in pain. The monster lifted its hands and with a movement it flung you to the other side of the room. You hit the bookcase and grunt in agony. This might be to much for you [[Try to escape]] or [[Charge back in]] and try to defeat this monster.You snatch up the book. Power fills every ounce of you, and everything makes perfect sense now. The sapphire eyed monster lifts his hands to destroy you before it’s too late. You attempt to race around the monster and back to the stairs. You feel yourself get lifted into the air. You try to scream but green fog fills your lungs. [[ You have died ]] Gripping the flaming sword you charge back in. The monster lifts his hand again, but this time you are prepared for it. Standing your ground against the mahic of the Sapphire eyed beast. You only get moved instead of thrown and before the monster can do it again. You are on top of it, swinging the blazing sword against time and time again. Finally the monster drops and with a thrust you out your sword through its heart. You turn back to examine the room. Pain fills everything inside of you and drops you to your knees. Your screams fill the room and your mind. Give into the pain and sleep [[You wake]] or [[Stand your ground]]You drop the book from your hands and the monster chuckles. "It is to much for some, human." The sapphire eyed man whispers into your mind. You scan the room. Grab the [[ Black Dagger ]], [[ Red sword]] or accept the challenge and [[Give in to the book]] Refusing to give in to the pain, instead you embrace it. With a new focus you stand and from a mirror on a shelf you can see your Sapphire eyes shine. You have not died but became a monster yourself, destiny has spoken. Congratulations you have became a part of the dungeon.You wont wait. "What do you want from me?" You scream. "You have came to my dungeon. What are you? [[Hero]] [[Explorer]] or [[Fool]]You look for anything you had on you, but nothing. You look around the room but it is clear of everything but you and him. Now you have to [[Wait for him]] or ask him [[What he wants]] He walks towards you. Darkness seems to follow him with every step. "You have walked into my dungeon. What are you? [[Hero]] [[Explorer]] or [[Fool]]With vigor you yell. "I am a hero! No sane man lives in a dungeon. I have fought and seen monsters and the dead down here. What are you?" With a wave of his hand the place lights up, with blue light. "I am a mage of true power." He pushes back his hair and reveals his face. It was nothing but a skull and his eyes were bright red gems. Taking a step back in shock. You know there is no surviving this. "No. You are no hero. Confess to me. You are a [[Fool]] or a [[Dead man]]You sigh but stand up straight. "I am a explorer. I fell into the dungeon but only because I was exploring the forest." The man approches and with a wave of his hand the place lights up with blue light. "You lie. You are either a [[Fool]] or a [[Hero]]"You sigh. "I am a fool. I have fallen into this dungeon against my own will and have survived by luck." The man chuckles. "Then you admit, you are a true fool. But you did not survive by luck. You have survived because you are brave and talented. Become my apprentice and I can show you the world." [[Accept]] or [[Decline]]You stop in your tracks. You deeply think about it and find yourself nodding. "I will do it. I will join you Mage," your voice is uncertain. The mage laughs loudly. "Finally you have accepted. You will be a great replacement." "Replacment?" The mages red gem eyes shine brightly. "I own the last dungeon and you will replace me here. You will be the new champion of the last dungeon." [[No]] or [[Agreed]] "No. I will not bend knee to you," you scream at the mage. The Mage only shook his head. "Still not ready then. Feel [[The Fall]] Racing towards the undead mage. You have chosen. You are a dead man, but you had to try. "Then you admit, you are a true fool. But you did not survive by luck. You have survived because you are brave and talented. Become my apprentice and I can show you the world." [[Accept]] or [[Decline]]Your head shakes no. "No, no, no and no. I refuse to become a monster like you." The undead monster sighs and somehow frowns with his skull face. "I am a lich and I have grown tired of trying to train you. I will allow you one more time. I will allow you to bend knee and become my apprentice." Your mind begins to race. "No. Kill me Lich!" [[ You have died ]] or [[You have escaped]]You slow and then hit your knee. "You are by far the strongest creature I have seen. It will be a honor to serve as your replacment. "Very good, my apprentice," the undead made whispered. Congratulations You have joined the dungeon.Falling this time, all you can remember, is falling countless times before. "How many times? How many times have you made me fall Lich?" "Enough to train you apprentice." "Never again." You remember the magic, the power and everything else that came before. [[Kill the Lich]] [[Escape the dungeon]]You attack the Lich; with everything you have. Magic burns the entire dungeon and shakes the forest above it. You are far more powerful, thanks to his training. "Now you are the Master of the Dungeon," is his last words. In the end you set upon the throne of the lich and time passes before you feel someone fall into your dungeon. Congratulations! You own the dungeon. You turn and ignore the screams of your old master. Congratulations! You have freed yourself, finally.As you enter the room you gasp in surprise, it is massive. The fireplace was lit up, massive bed, plenty of food and a tall bottle of wine. You mentally prepare for combat, but everything looked too good to be true. [[Take the risk]] or head back for [[Hallway one]] or [[ Hallway three]]You eat and drink your fill. Nothing ever comes for you and the longer you are here the more comfortable you feel. Take a rest? [[You wake]] or do not risk it and turn back for [[Hallway one]] or [[ Hallway three]] The Last Dungeon Thank you for playing.
