''After waking up one night, you found yourself trapped inside the story plot of your once adored fairytale... as a mermaid.
However, something seems off. You didn't know this particular work of Andersen's took place during the 17th century. And wasn't the foreign princess supposed to love the prince? Good thing is the sea witch doesn't force you to exchange your voice for a pair of legs, but how the hell can you find even half a coin to pay them??
But honestly, the most thing you're curious about is how do these human-like organisms even go to the toilet?''
Fetures:
★ Explore a low fantasy world where mermaids are the only magical creature exist... but they can say the same to the mankind.
★ Return home as soon as possible, or take your time questioning your mermaid self whether you should pee in the sea or not.
★ Make a deal with a sea witch in exchange for a pair of human legs.. or be content with what you have (not recommend).
★ Court a prince, a princess or a grumpy witch... or make them court you instead!
★ Customize your gender, sexuality, appearance (including your fishtail color<3).
This project is (somewhat) based on "The Little Mermaid" and is not meant to offend Hans Christian Andersen's magnificent writing by all means.

[[WARNING LIST]]
Like most grown-adults, your mind completely shapes outside the thought that somewhere, among the rocks lined the coast, there could be a mermaid quietly observing you from her hideout with expressive round eyes, turquoise-scaled tail hidden behind herself.
Even if they are real, maybe it's just some model who are on their job.
Regardless, grandmother's old stories were more than just human's imagination to you- they are one of the most beautiful childhood memories she had given to your younger self.
Besides, people have proved that the theory about the existent of mermaids is false... right? ~~at least you know the theory about pirates's tiddies thiccness is true~~
[[it's time for me to go to bed though]]Some would call you stupid, others would call you very stupid because to them, there's no such thing as human-like creatures with fish tails. They said the fact that pirates drinking their pee when the ship's sources have gone poorly is even more realistic than thinking mermaids exist.
Even if they are real, maybe it's just some model who are on their job.
Regardless, grandmother's stories were more than just human's imagination to you- they are one of the most beautiful childhood memories she had given to your younger self.
Besides, people haven't been able to prove your theory about the existence of mermaids is false...right? ~~you stan your ground and if pirates's tiddies exists then there are merfolks too dammit~~
[[it's time for me to go to bed though]]Since you are now a fully-grown adult, it's not like your mom would scold you for staying up late. But still, you'd like to have some rest. You have works to do in the morning anyway.
Slumber soon finds you and occurred your mind.
Tonight, you dream about being a merfolk in your favorite- at least used to be favorite children's fairytale. Honestly, you can't say it's really for //children// since grandmother only read you the original story... which pretty much included the part the little mermaid commited suicide in order to protect the prince (//^^you wonder if Andersen has an angst kink^^//).
Your dream ended just how the storyline was supposed to be: Little mermaid saved and fell in love with the charming prince, exchanged her beautiful voice with the sea witch in order to have the human legs, then got her heart broken by the prince without his knowing, turned into sea foam instead of killing the prince.. blah.

Ty for reading<3

CHAPTER ONE: FreshmermanYou'd say you had a beautiful childhood.
When you were a little kid, your grandmother used to tell you bedtime stories. Her soft voice would lure you to sleep and her tales would beautify your dreams.
There were nights when you two would just stick together like tiles, your grandmother would neatly tuck you under the sheets, close to her side while slowly reading you stories from her heavy collection of children's books that was placed on the small bookcase in your bedroom.
You remembered Ma always complaining about how late your grandmother would let you stay up at night in order to complete her stories. As a result, every next morning you would go to school with an expected sleepiness and dark circles under your eyes.
Your younger self thought it was worth it, and you'd spend days placing your butts on the school's chair drawing, imagine, day-dreaming about being a character yourself in those fairy tales.
Despite having read so many stories such as tales about princesses like "Cinderella", "Sleeping Beauty", stories about cursed people like "The Frog Prince" or even cursed objects such as "The Red Heels"... it was only [["The Little Mermaid"]] that stole your heart at the time.

It wasn't a nice dream anyway.
You've always been in a love hate relationship with the little mermaid's selfless love for the prince, and it makes your cringe a bit everytime you reread the story.
How come could she be so innocent and devoted to a person she barely knows?
Then you wake up. You observe your current state and the area surrounds you.
There's more to your mind, but basically your first thought is like this:
//what the fuck?//
[[End of Prologue]]It wasn't a nice dream anyway.
You've always been in a love hate relationship with the little mermaid's selfless love for the prince, and it makes your sentimental ass cry everytime you reread the story.
How come an innocent and devoted soul like her have to meet such fate?
Then you wake up. You observe your current state and the area surrounds you.
There's more to your mind, but basically your first thought is like this:
//what the fuck?//
[[End of Prologue]]Basically, you were so hooked with the story that you could hear it over and over again and not grow tired from it and just begging and pleading so grandmother would read it for you every night. Then grandmother would pretend to be annoyed and scold you, saying she lost counts at how many time she has been reading that story already.
You know she adores you and your child antics, some people just wasn't blessed with the ability to hide the adoration in their eyes for the others. Besides, "The Little Mermaid" was her favorite too.
You also were totally believed that mermaids are real, and say so. Mom said that if there were such creatures exists, scientists would have discovered them by now and not hard to decompose trashs and moribund whales.
Many times, she has asked grandmother to tell you so. Apparently your grandmother was on your side and wasn't being really helpful to mom by taking you out for a walk along the beach near your home. You two continued to share thoughts and tales, even theories that were on your minds.
Dad thought that you were even more similar to grandmother than her own son. Maybe that has something to do with the fact that you were both magical fairytales's lovers and have an obssesion with mermaids and fantasy sea creatures in general. Though, that's just a minority of interests you and your grandmother share with each other.
Since you wouldn't rather say, [[shared]].
Many years has passed from then and time never gave you your grandmother back either.
You had a hard time in the past trying to sing yourself to sleep after her death, but things all worked out now.
But now that you're older, does your mind still stays the same?
[[no, not really]]
[[yesss]]You know the idiom \

Your head hurts like hell even though you remember not even touching any kind of alcolhol last night. Weird.
But what is even weirder is that you never realize your bedroom is so wet and cold, and so //oceanic//
Is that a blue tang swimming pass your eyes?
